Turning itself off, resetting time to 2008 and won't charge...only in the last 2 days -what's happened????

In the last 2 days my Macbook has twice turned itself off just out of nowhere - not even any noise, then when i get it back on it's reset to midnight Jan 2008? It also stops charging as well, the plug in just turns dead, no lights, no charge. Even if i unplug it, plug it back in etc. The time eventually resets itself but that's not the point - is anyone else having these problems?? Dodgy update somewhere maybe? help!!!!

P.S. when it plugs into the computer, it doesn't always Sync- it thinks it's unplugged too fast for itunes to recognize it.
The phone also crashes ALL the time (even with the application for the phone settings- I have only basic apps). My itunes crashes a lot too, but I've re-installed and all that- I think the phone is crashing it.

My late 2008 MacBook won't charge, is it the battery or could it be that I possibly damaged the connection spot on my laptop?

Installed ios6.1.3 to iPad 3 now it keeps turning itself off after a few seconds and is not recognised by itune

Z10 turning itself off 4 times a day

Hi,
I have a blackberry z10 and am with vodafone in ireland. My device is switching itself off at least 4 times a day and often will not come back to life without being charged for a short time ( even when it is showing over healf full charge). Can you please tell me if there is anything I can do to prevent this?

Hi Elaine,
This could be related to the battery meter failing to read correctly. You can take out the battery, connect it to a wall charger. Wait for 2 minutes (the battery still out) then after 2 minutes put in the battery to charge and it should read the correct power level.
If this does not help you need to reload the Software using BlackBerry Link by going to Preferences, Reload Device Software. This can help fix any bugs that might have occured in the operating system.

Tenor is a string. The tenor table is used by other reports too and contains tenors in day, month, etc format (e.g. 01-Jan-14, 02-Jan-14, 03-Jan-14, ..., Jan-14, Feb-14, ...).
This is why I was trying to differentiate the 2 "groups" of tenor using length.
Something like:

I have just updated my Ipod to version 6 but my ipod now states ios6 on the front of it and has all different languages on the slide button. what has happened and how do i put it right?

Fire97 is corret. It appear that you have to resetup/activate the iPod. Just slide to unlock and following the on-screen prompts.

Help I my iMessage is offline and I can't seem to figure out how to reactivate it. It shut itself off on it's own and I've tried everything under the sun to reactivate it and nothing is working.

New macbook pro won't turn on unless it's plugged in and won't charge

I just bought a new MacBook Pro and it won't turn on unless it's plugged in. When I unplug it, it immediately shuts down. It's not my charger because my brother has the same laptop so I tried his and it still doesn't work. The battery light on the charger is green and it says on the top of the screen not charging.

IPhone won't stop trying to turn itself off

My iPhone has been acting very strange recently. Try's to turn itself off randomly, well fade in and out real fast so I don't go on it for the time being. And if I touch my lock button once it will automatically try to turn itself off again. How do I get rid of this

1. Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
2. Restore using iTunes, also restoring a backup
3. Restore as new, without using a backup
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
4. If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware problem that needs evaluation by Apple or an Apple authorized service provider.

Lumia 800 Turning itself off!

Dear NOKIA, up until now I have just put up with this phone simply because it has lots of style and and I really like the look of it, obviously as you're probably aware this phone has had lots of complaints most of which are very valid points (BATTERY LIFE, LACK OF BLUETOOTH, LACK OF NOTIFICATIONS, NOT BEING ABLE TO CUSTOMIZE AN SMS TONE, NO MASS STORAGE) Over the last 3 months I have chose to put up with this but today I can no longer 'just put up with it'.......
Last night I set my three alarms on my Lumia to ensure I woke up for work on time, I woke up an hour late for work with no sign of an alarm!(5am) This probably had a lot to do with the fact the phone had turned itself off! I turned it back on, and left for work. by the time i arrived at work (5.30am) the phone had once again turned itself off! By 8am I noticed again phone was off, surprisingly at 10am I needed to use the phone and it was ON and ready to use! However by 12midday it had turned itself off again! In all the phone has turned itself off 6 times today! obviously the phone had been charged to full capacity over night so has had pretty much a full charge most of the morning? So can someone explain what is going on with it, and what is my next step, I can put up with most things (cosmetic) but how on earth do you expect customers to want to use a phone that is more unreliable than british rail in the 80's? IF there is such a thing in the nokia world as 'customer care' would they PLEASE reply to this post???

I'm having the same problem with my Lumia 800 restarting. The first device did this so regularly I had to have it swapped out for a new (well, refurbished) device. I know four other people with this device, two of whom report no problem but one of whom has had the same issue and also had to have her device swapped out. Even with the replacement, I'm noticing that the phone is restarting 2-3 times a day and there is no pattern to this behaviour. Often happens when the phone is dormant but also ocassionally when in use. Very frustrating but not sure if entirely linked to this phone as I had to change our my LG Optimus for the same reason - it started restarting after an earlier update (no longer available to me to roll back to). So, is it Windows or the phone? Either way, Nokia, really like a response to this as it's not great and having encouraged my other friend to select WP7 over iPhone, it's starting to look like bad advice. We all love the OS and the style of the phone etc is awesome. Battery life is poor but perhaps a future update will fix this but the restarting is an annoyance that can't be ignored and I'll be sending this phone back for a replacement too if the problem persists.

IOS4, Fully Charged 3GS turned itself off, Missed an appointment

OMG, my fully charged iPhone 3GS just turned itself off and I missed out the morning alarm and an early morning appointment.
Its updated to iOS 4; Its never happened before. Morning when i turned it on, it just is working from where it left off previous night..Anyone else having these issues.
The Phone was fully charged and when turned on, it shows me 98% battery. The only thing to mention was, phone was sitting on its dock connected to a sleeping iMac.

So I have a MacBook Pro 2013. That won't turn on and won't charge. When the charger is plugged in the light remains green as if it is fully charge. Before it died the laptop still recognized the charger but wouldn't charge. And now won't turn on.

If you've a 2013 model, depending on when you purchased the machine, I would suppose that you're still under warranty or at least purchased AppleCare? Regardless, I would take the kit to your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them diagnose the computer (and, if you're still under warranty, fix the computer) and, if necessary, give you an estimate for repair.
There are all sorts of things that could be wrong - a faulty adapter, bad cabling, even the entire electrical circuitry may have gone bad.
You won't know unless you had an Apple tech look it over.

My 3gs turns itself off (need to use the top button to turn on) and when it restarts; the time has been reset to Jan 1st 1970 at 00.00.
This has happened a few times; what is wrong and how do I fix it.

I recently got a new refurbished phone because my old one suffered some water damage. About a day after i got the new one it started doing the excat same thing yours is doing. It didn't matter if i wasrunning applications or not, the phone doesn't get hot or anythign, it just turned off.
Sometimes when i turned it back on the date and time have not been reset but a little while later the phoen would turn off and the date would reset.
I spoek to the Apple support team on the phone yesterday and they told me to take it back to the store i went to but first try the latest update.
Did the latest update last night and it seemed to be working fine until this morning when it turned off and reset the date/tme on turning it back on.
Ive since made an appointment with the Store i originally went to for tomorrow and also for the support team to call me today.
I'll update here if they say anthing new or somethign that helps.
