Turning off a function

I have an iPhone 4S and there is one feature I want to turn off. every time I have the iPhone in my pocket and bend my legs to do some physical work, the Voice Control application tirns on. It is interpreting a squash as a double-click on the main button. I never want wooce commands to run and would like to know how to tutn this feature off.
Anybody know how?

Dealing With The Resume Feature of Lion
Managing Mac OS X Lion's application resume feature.
If you shutdown your computer you should get a dialog asking if you want applications to resume on the next startup. Simply uncheck the box to prevent that from occurring. Open General preferences and uncheck the option to Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps. You can also install a third-party utility to control resume features on individual applications: RestoreMeNot or Application State Cleaner.
It is possible to completely stop the Resume feature although I'm unconvinced that it is that annoying. Nevertheless see the following:
If you have not yet done so you must first make your /Home/Library/ folder visible. Open the Terminal application in the Utilities folder. At the prompt paste the following command line:
chflags nohidden ~/Library
Press RETURN. Quit the Terminal application.
In the Finder navigate to the /Home/Library/Saved Application State/ folder. Delete the contents of the folder. Back up to the /Home/Library/ folder. Select the Saved Application State folder. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. In the Sharing and Permissions panel at the bottom click on the lock icon and authenticate. Set each of the listed entries to Read Only. Close the Get Info window.
Quit all open programs except the Finder (this is very important.) Next, navigate to the /Home/Library/Preferences/ByHost/ folder. Look for a .plist file with "com.apple.loginwindow." in the file name followed by some numbers in hexadecimal. Select the file. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window and in the Sharing and Permissions panel click on the lock icon and authenticate. Set each of the listed entries to Read Only. Close the Get Info window. If you also find a file with the same filename but with a last extension of ".lockfile," then you should delete it.
The above should eliminate the Resume feature system-wide. Note that any future system updates or upgrades will likely undo these changes. You will then need to repeat this procedure assuming there are no major changes in OS X related to it.

Can you turn off color function on HP officiate 6600 on printer so it will still run without color cartridges? I just need to print a black and white word document and it won't let me without replacing the color cartridges.

I see that you are wondering if you can turn off the color function on HP officiate 6600 so you can print without color cartridges. I am happy to answer this question for you!
This particular printer uses some color inks even when printing in black only. If you did run out of color and kept printing black only, you will cause problems with the printhead. FYI,HERE is the user guide to your printer, see page 72. I've also linked page yield information HERE.

How can I turn off the function that touch the top of the screen then turn to the top of the page automatically

I know the I pad have a function that when you touch the top of the screen, the page will turn to the top automatically. But this function always make trouble. Especially when you are reading some long papers. I would like to turn it off. What can I do ? Thank you!

Turning off vibrate function

Hi there! I just bought a sony xperia z1 compact and it was delivered today. However, when I tried to turn off the vibration function, I failed. I know how to put it in silent mode but I'm getting totally crazy of this constant vibration (it's still continuing when in silent mode) which almost sounds like a car is driving past me. Does anybody know how to turn it off? Thanks in advance!

Does Illustrator free trial turn off effects function? Wanted to check out drop shadow.

Downloaded a free trial of Illustrator for Mac. Wanted to create a sample logo to try it out. Effects functions like drop shadow aren't active (grayed out). Is that normal for the free trial? Thanks!

I'm doing something very simple, which is why I was surprised that it's not working. I'm creating a 180 x 180 pixel jpeg for Facebook's profile picture of a logo as a way to test out Illustrator. I created a text box, used a font called Zoinks (which is what our company logo uses) and typed out our logo. I was able to change the color of the font, add stroke to it and change it's size. But when I click on Stylize, all the functions to enhance text including Drop Shadow are grayed out. I couldn't find something in Preferences that I needed to turn on or off to unlock the function. So if it's supposedly fully functional, then either I have missed something or the download is faulty. I am leaning toward the the first option.
Any advice would be most helpful.

I have recently purchased an HP photomsart 5510 printer. I purchased it for the networking capability. More recently, I turned on a daily crossword program from Universal Uclick that prints out crossword puzzles to this printer. How do you shut it off? I'm sick of these puzzles! I thought my mom would like therm but she didn't and now I can't figure out how to delete them. I have found the Universal website that enables you to adjust time and dates, but it doesn't work.

Want to turn off autofill function for certain high-security websites

I like the autofill function for most websites where form filling entry is necessary, but not for logging on to my bank, credit card, and a few other websites requiring higher security. Is there a way to keep it functioning but block it for selected websites or URLs?

Guess I'm not being clear with my question/problem. The way I understand itunes works is that you have everything in 1 librarary and you can play from there or make individual playlists. We have chosen to make 2 playlists, 1 called Christmas and 1 called motorcycle, all the rest of our songs are sitting in the main library which is where we play them from.
However since the Christmas songs are in the main library as well as the christmas playlist they play in both places when we play the library in the shuffel mode. How do we not get the Christmas songs to play in the library shuffel, I have unchecked them but they still play? Do we have to make a new playlist for all non Christmas songs which is the majority of the songs?

Turn off caching function in JRE

I am working with applet that uses jre 1.0.5 as plugin.
My applet will download some images when it runs and these images and applet itself are written to the local file in the client machine.

How to turn off Function Keys permanently

How do you turn off the function keys permanently? In Quark I use the 'F' keys for guides etc... and just want to have to press one key, not two.

Before you go to the trouble of entering all the keys see if the Quark default F-Keys will work. I don't have much in the way of apps loaded on Leopard yet but the default Photoshop F-keys work without my disabling anything in keyboard shortcuts. F9 still brings up Expose in Photoshop but I haven't disabled it. I don't know, however, if Quark XPress works that way, though. They tend to play by their own rules

Hi there, I found that the FaceTime is showing a mirrored image and there is no option to turn off in there. Is there any way that I can turn off this function.
FYI, I have to connect a new webcam as a front camera on my Macbook Air and show the whiteboard writing via FaceTime but this combination shows a inverted writing..

Turn off the conversation grouping function in mail?

Can someone tell me how to turn off this function of grouping emails. My goal is to have individual emails come in in the "classic" view of mail.

On the menubar, Mail > View > uncheck Organize by conversation.

Hi guys, i have big problem with my MacBook Pro Early 2011.
He is freezed during power up. Sometimes he show striped screen display. I be sure this is problem with video chip or vedio switching.
In my city haven't service, and now i want turn off autocwitching video chip and always use 1 gpu chip.
On sys pref i turn off Autoswitch vedo chip, but it's turn on again(
Maybe have another way to turn off this function and always use 1 video chip?
