Turning off App Nap is not fixing my FCP rendering issue

I noticed that Mavericks was killing my rendering in FCP. I like to let it run overnight, and it was simply shutting off.
I did some research and learned about app nap, and how it was shutting down my rendering.
I went to finder, found FCP, and disabled app nap... but I'm STILL having problems with the rendering. It just stops! This is adding days and days to my production time, and I don't know how to fix it.
This is really really throwing a cramp in my work, and I'm really not please with apple for this one.

I switched MacBooks to complete my rendering... I will set up a new project tonight and let you know if adjusting these settings helped.
That said... I have to NEVER allow my computer to sleep, just so this rendering can take place? That's a little bit absurd.

You need to double tap home button, swipe preview window of apps upwards........that will close them :-)

There's only one thing you can do: make an appointment with Apple genius at the Apple retail store for a out of warranty replacement.

Accidental damage is not covered under Apple warranty. And it seems there is much accidental damage. Only a Genius Bar tech looking at it can tell how much it will cost to repair.
Cost to repair will be high, I suspect (though Genius Bar will confirm/deny.

As far as automatic update, the iOS cannot be updated without user intervention, so it could not have been automatically updated.
You need to provide more information about your mail. Does this mean you cannot access the Mail app, you cannot download mail, or what? Not sure why you cannot access the cookies setting in Safari. Go to Settings>Safari>Block Cookies>set to what you want.
Problems with 3rd party Bluetooth devices, such as car audio, etc., generally has to do with vehicle manufacturers not providing updates to match the current Bluetooth stacks that are found in today's phones. You can go into the phone and remove the pairing for the car, and then go into car settings and remove the iphone. Then put both devices back into pairing mode and attempt to connect them again. They changed it a bit, but you can still close apps. Double click the Home button to pull up the currently running apps. Side scroll over to the app you want to close, then swipe up on the app *window* (not the icon at the bottom).

It sounds like more of the storage of your iPad is full. Plug it into your computer and check in iTunes or on your iPad go to Settings > General > Usage and it will sort out in order of what is taking up the most space. Once you figure that out you can either delete what is not needed or import any photos that you may have to your computer. If you want to close out any application that you may have open previously, then double tap the home button and then swipe up on any app that you want to close

My ipod froze then turned off and now will not turn back on

my ipod was fully charged and was working perfectly.
i locked it and when i tried to unlock it my touch screen wouldnt work.
i tried reseting it by pressing the home button and the power button.
it started to reboot then froze on the apple logo screen.
after waiting for twenty minutes or so i tried reseting it again while it was still on the apple logo screen,
then it turned off and now will not turn back on.
i have tried plugging it into my computer to see if it would by some miracle turn back on but i have been unsuccessful
my ipod is my life, if anyone can help me fix it i would greatly appriciate it!!!!!!!!

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.
