Turning off Bitmap Printing

Under my print settings in Ilustrator, I cannot uncheck the box that  says 'Print as Bitmap' and it is causing my type and vectors to look  extremely pixelated.  How can I turn off this 'Print as Bitmap' option?

Wish,
It may be a printer driver issue; you may consider updating it, or changing the (default) printer. What happens if you save/print to PDF and take it from there?

    I was only able to print one page and then both my printer and my computer would display an error message about the printer's inability to print.  Since then I've been able to resolve my specific problem.
    I
    1. uninstalled HP from my computer (checked to ensure that my printer was no longer visible in my printers and the HP Utility software was nowhere to be found),
    2. grabbed the software/driver update from Aug, 2010,
    3. installed the Aug, 2010 update, and my problems seem to have been fixed.
    This is where I got my 2010 update from (obviously you should get the driver/software applicable to your OS and specific printer):

    how can i turn off automatic printing on my ipad mini. every day My printer prints out a weekly calendar at the same time. How can I stop or disable this. Thanks

    The complete backup and restore procedure is explained in the link above.
    If you don't want to do a restore, then your iPad may remain in the unstable state you have for the moment.
    You can change the country in the App Store. Have a look at the bottom of the App Store screen, you can change the country and also do the permanent change via Manage > Account.
    You can change the language in iTunes via General Preferences > under General tab.

  • So, CAN I turn off the printer's color management? Pixma Pro-100.

    So, I am trying to turn off the color management function for the Pro-100...
    On my Windows desktop, I use Photoshop to print with Canson Rag 210, color profile installed, allow photoshop to manage colors and print a beautiful, perfect print with the Mark 9000. Now, I have the Pixma Pro-100 and using the exact same settings, I print wirelessly with my laptop, and I get these dark, red/orange hued prints that are atrocious.
    I should mention the same exact photograph printed between setups ALWAYS prints better with the Mark 9000 and my desktop. However, when using my laptop and the Mark 9000... Crap. Laptop and Pixma Pro-100... Crap. What is my MAC doing that my desktop is not?! How can identical settings print such drastic results? Photoshop does warn me (newer version on my MAC vs. Windows) to turn off the printer's color management in the printer's settings, but I do not see that option. Maybe I'm missing it? How do I do that? I'm thinking it may help!

    Have you tried printing from the MacBook using Canon Print Studio Pro or letting printer manage colors? I know this doesn't specifically answer your question, but PSP is designed to handle the PS/printer interface.
    Download PSP 1.3.5 from the Canon support site.

  • Turn off Spool Printing for MRP Batch Job run

    Hi Experts,
    Please tell on how to turn off the printing of a Batch Job which is an MRP Batch Run. Can this be done while creating the Job? We really don't need the prinout for this job. Thanks.
    Points will be awarded.
    Regards,
    LM

    Yes, this can be done while scheduling a job. When creating a job step (transaction SM36) there is a button "Printer specifications". Select any printer there and option "Send to SAP spool". Spool request will be created but it won't be printed out.
    If you are using RMMRP000 program, you also might want to uncheck "Display material list" checkbox on the selection screen. If using other program, see if there is an option to disable the log.

    Have you tried a different usb cable? It could be that the usb cable is grounding out which could be a short in the usb cable, or the port on the printer. Although it is also possible that it is the USB controller on your computer's motherboard so if trying a different cable doesn't fix it try it with another computer if at all possible. If the other computer doesn't have any problems then it is the HP desktop. At that point you're out of my realm of expertise friend . (In other words if this doesn't work, try your luck on the desktop forums or by calling 1-800-474-6836)

  • Why do i need to turn off the printer and restart it every so often to get it connected and ready?

    E-print works great when it's connected but it keeps disconnecting and I need to re-start the printer in order to print what I've sent it from my cell phone. How can I fix this?

    Hello bobdoss63,
    In that case I suggest you to print HP Network Configuration Page and make a note of the Printer IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway as printed in the page.
    Next open Internet Explorer browser and type the printer IP in the address bar and press Enter key. This will open printer information web page also known as EWS (Embedded Web Server) page. Here click on Network. If the printer is in Wireless, select Wireless and one of the settings displayed talks about Manual IP configuration.
    At this setting select Manual IP and enter the Printer IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. Then select Manual DNS and enter the following addresses
    8.8.8.8
    8.8.4.4
    Save the settings and turn OFF and turn ON the printer. Try re-enabling the webservices and check the result,

  • Turn off 'pretty print' output from XLST processor

    How do I turn-off the "pretty-print" type output that the XSLT processor seems to generate? The XSLT processor seems intent on generating very pretty xml markup, all nicely indented. The problem is that if the markup is XHTML and you are feeding it to browsers they render things quite differently based on the white space between tags...annoying, but true. I have struggled with every swicth I could find on the parsers/processor or embedded in tags in the XSLT files....but nothing seems to work. All I want to do is have the markup I have created in the XSLT template be output 'as is' with the exception of any <xsl:> tag data substitution. How do I do this so things render correctly in my browser i.e maintain the white space and formatting I used in creating the XHTML tags?

    The only way that <xsl:output indent="no"> can behave as you are seeing is:
    (1) You're using a release before 2.0.2.6
    (2) Your program calls the processXSL()
    that returns a DocumentFragment instead
    of the one that writes to a PrintWriter
    (3) You are using our .\sample\XSLSample
    program which calls the processXSL
    to get a DocumentFragment (not the
    one that writes to the PrintWriter)
    Are you saying that our command-line oraxsl
    for version 2.0.2.6 on your stylesheet
    which includes <xsl:output> in the correct location in the stylesheet (outside of
    any template but inside the "top-level"
    <xsl:stylesheet> element) is not
    working properly? If so, will need
    a simple testcase.

  • Printer - turning off the print fax log

    I have a Officejet pro 8600 e-all in one.  Im wondering if there is a way for me to "shut off" the print fax log?  I don't need this sheet to print every time I send a fax?

    BobMarion,
    No, fax machine don't automatically clear the fax log.
    Besides, the fax log usually doesn't stop the machine from receiving faxes, it uses a very small amount of memory. Typically, a fax machine stop receiving fax if you choose to save fax itself in memory, and the device run out of memory. What you have to in that case, is delete the saved faxes (and may be print them first or forward them to computer, if the fax machine is capable).

  • Xerox Phaser 8860 on Network-How to turn off popup print job confirmations?

    I recently upgraded to OS 10.6.4 and as expected I needed to reinstall the drivers for a few peripherals. One of which was the Xerox Phaser 8860 which is on the network. Everything works, but now after each print job prints out a window pops up in the center of the screen notifying me that ::Job### has printed on Xerox Phaser 8860::. It causes no serious problems, but it does knock me out of what ever program I am using. Which can get extremely annoying when I'm drawing and I repeatedly get halted mid (pen/brush) stroke. It stays up on the screen for about a minute and a few times it has remained up. There is an option to close, it simply gets really annoying after the 30th time. Common sense would suggest to not draw while a file is on it's way to the printer, but my work day is a constant flow of drawing, printing, color tests and editing. It's not practical or good for deadlines to stop drawing to wait for a print job to come out and the pop up window to go away.
    I tested printing from the other computers, which are PC's using various versions of windows and they all come up with the same pop up window (though theirs come up at the bottom right of the screen). They do not receive confirmation windows from the other printers not on the network.
    This suggested to me that this was a setting with the Xerox software. However, I spoke to the technical support for Xerox and they said that the pop up window had nothing to do with their software and claim that it had to be generated by the Mac OS 10.6.4.
    I am regularly printing from the following programs:
    Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Word, and Excel. The pop out window has acquired while printing files from all of these programs. I doubt that has any relation but I thought I'd add it, just in case.
    I would very much like to know how to turn this confirmation notification off in OS 10.6.4. Or if anyone has an thoughts on what software could be the culprit.

    In CWIS go to Properties > General > Printer Defaults and disable the Startup page  As for garbage prints, That sounds like a PS error. And they are almost always due to improperly embedded fonts. Have all your users switch the following in their drivers (Picture is the global driver, but the regular driver will have the same option.) Essentially by default the printer uses its own locally stored fonts on the jobs, but when the fonts are misunderstood, or unknown it winds up printing wingdings.

  • C-Plus API for turning off Registration (Printer) marks - not working

    FrameMaker 7.1 on Windows 7 using Acrobat 11 – Need to print many books to single PDF files – Save as PDF works fine – however some books have Registration (Printer) marks – Can turn this off manually but not via code – Tried
    F_ApiSetInt( FV_SessionId, docId, FP_PDFRegistrationMarks, FV_PDFRegistrationMarksNone)
    – also tried on session and book
    – anyone know how this can be done?
    Or even just changing the default settings for everything – the setting seems to be on the book – I assume I have to make the change and save the book and then save as – the code does not give an error but does not work – any help would be great – thank you
    I do not have the option to upgrade anything at this time.

    Seemed to need to set for each document in the book. Doing the following per document in the book solved my problem.
    F_ApiSetInt( bookId, docId, FP_DocAcrobatElements, False);
    // 1.2 R.G. 05-15-14 added - to use paragragh names instead of elements for bookmarks
    F_ApiSetInt( bookId, docId, FP_PDFBookmark, True);
    // 1.2 R.G. 05-15-14 added - so bookmarks are generated
    F_ApiSetInt( bookId, docId, FP_PDFBookmarksOpenLevel, FV_PDFBookmarksOpenAllLevels);
    // 1.2 R.G. 05-15-14 added - so PDF opens showing all levels of bookmarks
    F_ApiSetInt( bookId, docId, FP_PDFRegistrationMarks, FV_PDFRegistrationMarksNone);
    //F_ApiSimpleSave(docId, name, False); // save this document
    F_ApiSimpleSave(docId, F_ApiGetString(FV_SessionId, docId, FP_Name), False);
