Turning off "Delivery Notification" messages

Is it possible to totally suppress messages regarding delivery status from Postmaster? I run a pair of JESMS 6.2 servers which are SMTP relays primarily and the accounts used to send mail are not "people" but services. I'd like the "Delivery Notification: Message has been delayed/failed/etc" to not be generated. I think there's a setting in imta.cnf for this but am wary of the syntax. Can anyone advise what the line should look like?

You could prevent notification/disposition emails by using the notificationchannel/dispositionchannel keyword:
http://msg.wikidoc.info/index.php/Dispositionchannel%2C_notificationchannel_Channel_Options
This allows you to change the source channel of these emails. Then by adding a 'discard;' sieve sourcefilter to this new process channel, the emails should be dropped.
"defaults notices 1 2 4 7 logging copywarnpost copysendpost postheadonly noswitchchannel immnonurgent maxjobs 7 defaulthost blah.com blah.com"The copywarnpost and copysendpost are the keywords used to control the behaviour of sending a copy of the bounce/notification message to the postmaster. It doesn't control whether the original bounce/notification message is created. If you don't care about these postmaster copies you can disable them by replacing copysendpost with nosendpost and copywarnpost with nowarnpost.

How do I turn off push notifications when using words with friends on my iphone. It tells me to go thru itunes. Where do I do this??

    1. Provide your iOS version
    2. Define: "using words with friends."  Are you referring to text messages or a specific 3rd party app?  In any case, this is not controlled by iTunes.

  • Can't turn off calendar notifications on shared calendar

    Hello,
Since Yosemite I can't turn off calendar notifications on shared calendar.
The notifications are turned off on calendar.
The notification are turn off on the Google calendar settings.
    Am I missing something?
    Best,
    g.

    Hi gregorytrow,
There's a shared calendar messages preference in Calendar preferences you may want to change.
Calendar: If you’re not receiving alerts
Choose Calendar > Preferences, click Alerts, and then deselect the “Turn off shared calendar messages in Notification Center” and “Turn off invitation messages in Notification Center” checkboxes.
    Take care,

  • Turning off spam notification on subjet line?

Is there a way on Exchange 2010 to turn off the potential spam/marketing warning? I do not want to turn off spam filtering itself. I could not find a setting for this in Outlook so I'm convinced it must be on Exchange.

    Hi,
    Yes, as what
VinodKP says we can remove these messages by creating transport rules. If you want to stop sending the spam/marketing warning to just one user, I recommend that we can use the Outlook rule to achieve
it. It would be more convenient to be created and managed by client user.
If you still want to turn off Spam notification, there are several
types of notifications. Please check your notification by the following article to configure or disable it:

    hi Folks,
my iCal keeps giving me these annoying holiday notifications, for every holiday in Canada,

I have turned off "holiday notifications" both in iCal pref's and in the 2 gmail accounts they
    are synchronized with.
any idea why I am still getting these?
    thanks for any feedback..

  • How do I turn off Safari Notifications?

Can someone please help me!? Ive been working on downloading Adobe creative suite, and everytime it tries to download Acrobat XI it says that I need to close Safari Notificati even after I have set the settings to not disturb. Anyone know how to make my life easier?

Hi, if you open go to utilities and open activity monitor you can then search the items, double click on Safari Notifications, this will cause a pop-up window to come-up. Click force quite to turn off Safari Notifications. You can now download Apps from Adobe.
    Hope this helps.
I also found two lines of code that will turn on and off notifications. If you do not want screen notification to run go to Utilities > Terminal> and input code:
    launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist
    To turn on again code:
    launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist
Cannot take the credit for the code etc. Found it by searching.

  • How do I turn off the notification in Backup Assistant Plus Media?

If you turn on "schedule backup", there is nowhere to select the time of the backup. Setting the time of "Recurring Sync" in Backup Assistant + Contacts has no affect on the time of the backup in Backup Assistant Plus Media. Invariably it runs it a 3 am and then sounds the default notification sound. I can't find any way to stop it except to set the default notification sound to "silent". There are some notifications that I want to hear, so this is not a good solution. Does anyone know how to turn off the notification sound?

        timsak,
Great question! We don't want these notfications keeping anybody up late at night and I personally know how what feels; we'll get to the bottom of it. You can access your Backup assistant plus profile on our website and ajust settings there http://vz.to/1mOFxfz and from your phone, adjust the Sound Settings and Backup Assistant Plus Settings by launching your System Settings. If problems persist, please reset the application from your phone http://vz.to/18HfhrM .

  • Why do i keep hearing a notification tone when I turned off all notifications and also put my macbook on do not disturb?

First I was hearing a notification tone intermitantly when an email came in; it was never consistent and only started after I'd had my macbook for about 7 weeks. Today, I found the way to turn off all notifications and put the computer on permanent do not disturb in system preferences.  Now I'm getting the tone sort of at random.  Can anybody tell me what is going on?  I have a 2014 macbook pro 15".

Yes.  Reset network settings. Head to Settings -> General -> Reset and tap Reset Network Settings.

  • How do we turn off the notification clicks? I set "Notifications" to "Silent" in the "Sound" settings.

How do we turn off the notification clicks in the Galaxy S5? I already set Notifications to Silent in the Sound settings.

Go into settings > sounds > volume >  slide both system and notifications volume  full left. This will lower the sound output to zero.
System notifications are a pop-pop sound made whenever a key pad entry is made or a new command or change is made to the system itself.  B33 .tikibar1   But you will not have any notification sounds at all if you do this.

  • Turning off the status messages

Can you turn off the status messages that can be sent via e-mail when a print job is finished?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

In your ePrint account under ePrint Settings you will see an option for Allowed Senders.  Change the option from Everyone to Allowed Senders Only.    Once you do that, you can add the email addresses you want to allow to send faxes to the printer (the system will auto populate the field with email addresses that have already been sending faxes).  You can uncheck the boxes under Email job status.  Once this is done, you shouldn't received notices for print jobs sent from the unchecked email addresses.
Also, remember a click on the Kudos star to the left is a quick "Thanks" for a helpful post.

After turning off the notification switches of some apps in notificaton center, there are still notifications. I'm confused. Why?

Just guessing, but I would think, as I look at mine, that it might have to do with when the apps were added to the device. To be honest, identifying this as a bug might not be correct. You are the first person I have seen post something like this, so it must not bother others. You can leave feedback for Apple on the feedback page. Go to http://www.apple.com/feedback and then click on the appropriate link.
