Turning off the keyframe numbers on an 8 point Garbage Mattes?

I'm trying to turn off the key frame numbers on the 8 point Garbage Matte because they cover up parts of the paths/outlines I am trying to create...
Can they be removed or at least moved or shrunk?

Keyframes don't have numbers. Are you referring to the point labels? If so, in the Filter tab of the Viewer window, check the box "Hide Labels."

  • When I turned off the "contacts" feature in iCloud (on my iPhone 4) I lost all my stored phone numbers.  Is there any way to recover them?  Help!!

I turned on the "contacts" feature in the iCloud menu in settings on my iPhone4.  I ended up with a lot useless email addresses from my yahoo contact list that was cluttering up my phone contacts (actual phone numbers.)  I thought I could undo this by turning off the contacts feature in iCloud.  Instead, it wiped ALL of my phone number information in contacts, and left me with just the list of my email addresses, which I don't need.  I am desperate to recover all those phone numbers!  Please help.

    Kilted Tim
    It worked!  Thank you.
Now I just need to delete the email address that are cluttering up my phone contact list.
    Again, thanks.

  • How does one turn off the format column as the default

I would like to have the Format sidebar "off" as the default when opening Numbers. How can I do this?

I am not aware this is possible.  I tried saving a document where I had turned off the sidebar as a template and when I opened the template the sidebar was still visible.

  • Turn off the vertex points!!!

Is it possible to turn off the vertex points that appear
after I use the pencil tool. It is really annoying and distracting
before I even start I know those points will destroy my next
    thought...
It's as if Adobe does not know how to create a program that
will allow you to naturally animate. The page thing is nice but
    Can't get around these vectors!

In vector graphic programs they are called nodes or outline
points. Vertex is usually a corner node of a polygon used in a 3D
    program.
No, you can't turn thmem off. This is how this kind of tool
works and it is very good for certain tasks. Many users regard
FreeHand's drawing tools the best. I think it is Corel Draw but
I'll agree that FreeHand has very good tools. Illustrator's drawing
tools are just as good but when it comes to editing existing
    outlines Illustrator falls way behind.
Programs like Fireworks and Flash have less technical and
more paint like drawing tools too and maybe more suitable for you.

Freehand can do many things but it is NOT a animation tool
although you can make modest animations using layers. Flash is much
better for animation as well as FireWorks - even Photoshop (CS3)
has much better tools for animation, now with timeline and
    keyframes.
But if you want to make 2D animations you probably have to
use programs like ToonBoom or Anime Studio.
It is quit trendy these days to blame Adobe for just about
anything but Adobe has not developed FreeHand - at all. It is a
former Macromedia product, Aldus's before that, and the most
complaints here are just about Adobe's decicion to discontinue
    FreeHand development.

  • How do I turn off the Icloud erase when the phone is turned on?

My husband is a ship captain and He thought he lost his phone, I went through all the procedures of changing his account numbers etc on email
only thing he has on his phone is facebook and email  . He didn't have the find my phone app on when he lost it so I deactived it on our cell provider
and from I cloud I set up the find my phone to erase it when its turned on.
Well yes he found it, so I have set back up with the cell service but how do I turn off the find my phone from erasing it when he turns it back on?
And what is it going to erase??
Will he still be able to use it as a phone at least?
    thanks for your help!

Too bad.  It completely erases the phone so it will be like it was when it came out of the box.  He will need to go through the initial setup screens on the phone again to reactivate it before he can use it, and it will require entering his iCloud password to do so.

  • Is there a way to turn off the function in Lion that re-opens the last project you worked on in a given program?

Is there a way to turn off the function in Lion that re-opens the last project you worked on in a given program?

Dealing With The Resume Feature of Lion
Managing Mac OS X Lion's application resume feature.
If you shutdown your computer you should get a dialog asking if you want applications to resume on the next startup. Simply uncheck the box to prevent that from occurring. Open General preferences and uncheck the option to Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps. You can also install a third-party utility to control resume features on individual applications: RestoreMeNot or Application State Cleaner.
It is possible to completely stop the Resume feature although I'm unconvinced that it is that annoying. Nevertheless see the following:
If you have not yet done so you must first make your /Home/Library/ folder visible. Open the Terminal application in the Utilities folder. At the prompt paste the following command line:
    chflags nohidden ~/Library
Press RETURN. Quit the Terminal application.
In the Finder navigate to the /Home/Library/Saved Application State/ folder. Delete the contents of the folder. Back up to the /Home/Library/ folder. Select the Saved Application State folder. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. In the Sharing and Permissions panel at the bottom click on the lock icon and authenticate. Set each of the listed entries to Read Only. Close the Get Info window.
Quit all open programs except the Finder (this is very important.) Next, navigate to the /Home/Library/Preferences/ByHost/ folder. Look for a .plist file with "com.apple.loginwindow." in the file name followed by some numbers in hexadecimal. Select the file. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window and in the Sharing and Permissions panel click on the lock icon and authenticate. Set each of the listed entries to Read Only. Close the Get Info window. If you also find a file with the same filename but with a last extension of ".lockfile," then you should delete it.
The above should eliminate the Resume feature system-wide. Note that any future system updates or upgrades will likely undo these changes. You will then need to repeat this procedure assuming there are no major changes in OS X related to it.

  • Impossible to turn off the computer

It is impossible for me to turn off the computer by clicking the normal sequence (apple symbol and turn off the computer). I need to press the on/off button for some seconds to be able to turn it off. I need your help, please.

These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes.)
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Note the timestamps of the BOOT_TIME log messages, which refer to the times when the system was started. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Select the messages logged before the boot, during the time something abnormal was happening. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
For example, if the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down for three minutes before you forced a restart, post the messages timestamped within three minutes before the boot time, not after. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract—not at the beginning.
If there are long runs of repeated messages, please post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
    Step 2
    In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A crash report has a name that begins with the name of the crashed process and ends in ".crash". A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". A shutdown stall report has a name that ends in ".shutdownstall". Select the most recent of each, if any. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot. It's possible that none of these reports exists.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash or panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

How do I turn off the feature that allows the duplication of App downloads to more than one phone? As in my wife downloads an app and I get a dulpicate download on my phone.

To disable that feature it will depend on whether or not you sync everything in the cloud using Apple's iCloud, OR if you both use the same desktop/laptop computer with iTunes. Here is a link to the Apple support page in regards to the automatic download feature included with your iPhone and corresponding softwares such as iTunes.

Follow those instructions and it will all be taken care of.

  • FAQ: UI - How can I change the color theme, size of the text, or turn off the application frame?

    CHANGING THE INTERFACE COLOR SCHEME:
The Photoshop CS6 default interface is dark, but if you prefer the lighter interface you are used to from earlier versions,
you can change it back in the appearance area. There are 4 default color themes.
Mac          Photoshop > Preferences > Interface
Windows   Edit > Preferences > Interface
    CONFIGURING LARGER FONTS:
For those who need larger fonts, you can also change the UI Font Size down in the type area.
Be sure to restart Photoshop to see the changes.
    TURNING OFF THE APPLICATION FRAME
CS6 opens now by default in "Application Frame". You can go Window>Application Frame in the main meu and uncheck this

Select the title / text and then click on the "i" (inspector). A colored pin wheel shows up after you click on the square box directly below the font settings inside the inspector window. Then simply drag the dot to the color you want. Like this:

I changed my ICloud account  ID but my new phone won't let me change it unless I put in my old password and turn off the find my phone feature. But the phone will not recognize my old password. Can someone help me?

New iPhones don't come setup with an Apple ID/Password. What you're experiencing is called Activation Lock, & unless you know the original Apple ID/Password that was originally used to first activate this phone, you won't be able to reactivate it.
You can login to iCloud.com, from any computer, use Find My Phone to locate & erase the phone. But, you'll still need to know the original Apple ID/Password to reactivate it.
