Turning off trace on specific deadlocks events?

Hi,
Can I disable tracing just on deadlocks events on 11gR2?
One of our applications provoke several deadlocks. I've warned the developers team several times, but it's taking time to solve it. However, these deadlocks generate trace files of several sizes (from 300M to 3G ..)
The Deadlock Graph on them are very useful but the PROCESS STATE section are too long, and until the developers team fix the problem they are just filling up my user dump dest.
Can I disable them or disable the PROCESS STATE section from them?
Regards

Does the max_dump_file_size parameter help?

  • Turn Off Notifications for Specific Threads

    Hi:
In a weak moment or two, I replied to several threads I wish I hadn't. For example, I replied to "What is your reaction to using Lion?." This thread gets jillions of replies--so unless I say no to "Automatically receive notifications for all discussions I reply to:," I get jillions of email notificantions about a thread I am not interested in. Is threre a way to turn off notificantions on specific threads. I would like to notified about many of the threads I have replied to, but can't afford to do so becuse of my prior sins--replying to essentially useless threads that get jillions of replies.
    Help!!!

...so unless I say no to "Automatically receive notifications for all discussions I reply to:,"....
Go ahead and say 'no' to all of the "automatic" items in Email Notification Preferences (that's all of them except the last one).
You can still receive notifications from those threads you want to track by selecting the 'Receive email notification" item in the Actions box in the RH sidebar for each of those threads. You can undo that for each thread the same way.

  • IPhone 4 turns off when a specific song plays

I bought "Applause" by Lady Gaga in August, and it worked just fine, until I bought "ARTPOP" in November. Everytime this song plays, my iPhone 4 turns off, unless I keep it unlocked.. What can I do?

I'll try to do that! Thanks again

  • How do I turn off the replay of "the event"?  It's eaten most of my available data for the month and I have 27 days to go.

I have set Safari to open with Apple as my homepage.  Since the recent iPhone 6 event this has gone straight to the video replay.  How do I turn this off?
There are 27 days left in my "data plan month" and I've already used 1/3 of my plan.  Not a happy camper....

Thank you so much.  This seems to have solved the problem - I thought I'd been turning it off, but apparently not.  I'm truly amazed Apple didn't supply an exit/off button.  So grateful for your help.

  • Turning off Events

Is there any way to not have events being made every time I put a picture into iPhoto. I see how this would be nice to put photos off my camera, but when I am just putting single photos in, it is a huge pain to get a different event for each one... Is there any way that I can either choose to not have the events or get it to combine the events together in some way? In preferences there is an option to have a single event for a day, but that doesn't appear to do anything.

Welcome to the Apple user discussion forums
    SOrt of
You can not turn events off
You can make the event time line a week - but if you are importing single photos this really will not help
You can turn off time based splits into events for items imported from the finder, but again if you bring single photos in they will each be an event
What I do is collect the misc photos in a desktop folder and bring several in at once creating just one event that way - then combine that event into an existing event of the same nature (which may be misc photos) or leave it as event on its own
Or you can essentially ignore events and do all of your own organizing with Keywords, albums and folders - this is more the TD way

  • Windows Firewall issue, Inbound rule opend all, still not the same as turning off

This is Windows Firewall issue on Windows 8.1 Pro.
Backup Exec server cannot expand a computer node in selection list. I drill down to Microsoft Windows Network/Domain/Computers, then when I tried to expand a Windows 8.1 Pro computer node, it hangs out.
I narrowed this problem to Windows firewall related issue on Windows 8.1 Pro computer.
When I turn off Windows Firewall on Domain profile, Backup Exec Selection expands the computer node of the Windows 8.1 Pro computer. So, I created an inbound rule opening all to BAckup Exec server as following, but it's still not the same as turning off
    Windows firewall specifically on Windows 8.1 Pro computer;
Any Local IP address, Any Remote IP address, Any port, Any protocol, All Interface, All Programs and Services, All profiles(Domain, Private, Public)
And there are no rules blocking any which may override the above rule.
Ethernet on Windows 8.1 Pro computer shows profile is linked with Domain, but just to make it work, I selected all profiles.
Even though I opened all available in inbound rule, it's still not the same as turning off windows firewall. Why am I missing?

It looks as something related to RPC(UDP 135), but even when inbound rule is all open, why it matters? RPC seems working fine only when firewall is turned off on domain profile.
    Protocol 17 is UDP

  • SCE 2010 Alerts when windows firewall is turned off

Is it possible in SCE 2010 to have a email alert when someone manually turns off their firewall and does not turn it back on again? And if so how can that be accomplished? Originally I was going to just enforce this from Group Policy but this doesn't allow
people to enable or disable their firewalls. It just enables the firewall and grays out all other options.
This is a Domain with two 2008 R2 servers. The reason people need to be able to turn off their firewalls is for testing purposes.
    Thank you so much.
    Knowledge is Power.

When the firewall is turned off, it will generate an event log. You could create a monitor Alert Generating NT-Event-Log-Based Rule to monitor this event log.

  • Turn off suggestions

How do you turn off suggestions when entering new events in the Calendar? I try to enter dates for ball games and it enters duplicate events when I'm trying to create a "new" game with a different location and time. I don't like that it's trying to predict what I'm going to enter. Is there a way to turn this feature off? It's rather aggravating when I have to enter the same event 3 times. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!!

Thanks Eric, but sadly--it wasn't. Everything else is, but not text replacement.
But you know what I only now realized--my original complaint was with Calendar, not Mail. I cannot explain why I submitted this question against Mail, except maybe because they seem to get lumped together. I don't see anything in the Calendar menu about substitutions.
I don't suppose there's any way to delete this post, but I'll go submit this question against Calendar. Thanks for your help, Eric, you showed me something I hadn't noticed, but sorry to waste your time.

  • Cannot turn off Event Alerts for shared Google calendars in iOS8

I am using a Google Apps account for my calendars and through this have access to several shared calendars.
When I go into the Calendar app in iOS8, I then press the 'Calendars' button at the bottom of my screen, then I am shown all my iCloud calendars in one group then all the calendars from the one Google Apps account together in the next section.
The iCloud calendars (Home, Work, Family) all have a red next to them, which when I press it, I am able to scroll to the bottom of that screen and switch off 'Event Alerts' under 'Notifications'.
But there are no marks next to any of the Google Apps calendars.
This means that all of my shared calendars will give me notifications all the time, and I can’t switch them off.
Is there any way to turn off event alerts/ notifications for specific shared calendars?
    Many thanks!

I have iPhone 6 with iOS 8.1.3, and this is the solution that's working for me so far. However, I had to use the Calendar app on my Mac OS X (Yosemite) - not sure if there is another option for PC. Basically, I added the shared Google calendar to iCloud and told Google not to sync the shared calendar to my iPhone, so the shared calendar now shows up under the iCloud list of calendars and not the Google list (and thus the option to turn off alerts). Note: the shared calendars I'm using are read-only, so I don't know how well this would work if you need to edit events from iPhone. I hope this helps, and if anyone has a better solution, please share!
    1. Turn on iCloud calendars on iPhone and Mac.
    2. In browser, open the shared Google calendar settings and copy the iCal calendar address URL.
    3. In Mac OS X Calendar app, subscribe to the shared Google calendar. File > New Calendar Subscription > paste shared Google calendar URL > click Subscribe
    4. Set Location to iCloud. I checked Ignore Alerts because I also didn't want them on my Mac.
    5. The shared calendar should now be listed on your iPhone calendars in the iCloud section with the red i.
    6. Press the red i and scroll to the bottom and switch off Event Alerts.
    7. Remove the shared calendar from the Google list by going to https://www.google.com/calendar/syncselect and unchecking the shared calendars.

  • How do I turn off all alerts for a specific email account

I want to disable all notifications for a specific email account and I can't find the options to do this. So basically I have 3 email accounts linked on my blackberry. I and I want to make it so that any time account #3 gets an email I don't get a red flashing light or a new message * anywhere. I case you're wondering I've funneled all those annoying promo adds to this one account. It's just that sometimes some of them actually have good deals so I want to be able to check them every now and then but it's seriously annoying when my red light is going off constantly. NEVER MIND! I found it, but I'm going to leave this here incase anyone else it looking for something like this. You go into notification profiles and change the settings for that profile. So it's :   Notifications -> Profiles -> Normal (or which ever one you want) -> Customize App Notifications -> Email Messages -> Select email account you want -> Turn off all notifications or modify them to your preference. It does suck that you can't just globally set it by email account. It seems you have to go through each profile and change the settings one at a time. Most people probably only have 3 though so it's not that big a deal #firstworldproblems. DOUBLE NEVER MIND! So the "solution" I mentioned above only seems to work for the LED indicator and the instant popup you that comes on the top of the screen when you get a new notification. I'm still getting the red "new email" star on the side bar when I do a quick look from the homescreen or an app. And the 3rd email account has a "new email" red star next to it as well. Hoping someone out there knows how to turn them off for a specific email account. Thanks. - Kbye

Hi, I am using German OS therefore maybe the items are called differently in English: 1) Go into the main menu 2) Select "Alerts" 3) select the Profile you like to adjust 4) Select App Alerts 5) Select Email 6) You sould see your 3 mail accounts listed 7) Select the one you like to "mute" and you can set everything (sound, LED, vibration etc. individually for this acount) Hope it helps Alex

  • HP Laserjet Pro MFP M127fn - How to turn off T.30 Trace Reports

After every fax received the unit prints a "T.30 Trace" report. Needless to say, this is a big waste of paper. Have gone into the Reports setup and changed the settings accordingly, but am still getting this report after every fax we receive. We are using the unit as a fax machine/copier only, so it's only connected to a phone line and power source. How can I turn off these unwanted reports? Thanks for any assistance you can give.

    Hi @mrinn ,
I see that you are having issues with the T.30 Trace Reports printing, you have already turned off the setting and the printer is still printing them off. I would like to help you out with this issue today.
Just double check the setting, to make sure it is still turned off.
Go to Setup, Service, T.30 Trace.
You could update the printer's firmware, but the printer would have to be setup on a computer to do this.
HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn Drivers.
Select your operating system, click next, click the link for firmware.
I can send you a reset for the printer in a private message. But it will set the printer back to factory settings and clear out the phone book. In the forum beside your handle name just click on the envelope to view it.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
    Have a nice day!
    Thank You.

  • I've lost my iphone with passcode lock and find my iphone lock on but the wifi n cellular data was turned off so no way i can trace it so the only question remains is will the person who finds it be able to unlock it and use it as his own ?

i've lost my iphone with passcode lock and find my iphone lock on but the wifi n cellular data was turned off so no way i can trace it so the only question remains is will the person who finds it be able to unlock it and use it as his own ?
is it possible to change imei number?
i've tried for so many times n still the phone is offline so i've set it to offline mode with my message but it never shows the last location why?

If the device is found, nobody can use it without knowing your Apple ID and password.
The phone will only show it's location if it is connected to cellular network or Wi-Fi. If those options are switched off, you can't locate the phone.
With iOS 7, Find My iPhone includes a new feature called Activation Lock, which is designed to prevent anyone else from using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch if you ever lose it. It starts working the moment you turn on Find My iPhone in iOS 7. With Activation Lock, your Apple ID and password will be required before anyone can:
Turn off Find My iPhone on your device
    Erase your device
    Reactivate and use your device
This can help you keep your device secure, even if it is in the wrong hands, and can improve your chances of recovering it. Even if you erase your device remotely, Activation Lock can continue to deter anyone from reactivating your device without your permission. All you need to do is keep Find My iPhone turned on, andremember your Apple ID and password.
What steps should I take if I misplace my device?
If you ever misplace your device—whether it’s just lost or you think it may have been stolen—you should put it into Lost Mode immediately using Find My iPhone.
Lost Mode locks your screen with a four-digit passcode and lets you display a custom message with your phone number to help you get it back. You can also remotely erase your device if needed, and your custom message will continue to display even after the device is erased.
While Activation Lock works in the background to make it more difficult for someone to use or sell your missing device, Lost Mode clearly indicates to anyone who finds your device that it still belongs to you and can’t be reactivated without your password.
To put a device into Lost Mode, sign in to icloud.com/find from a Mac or PC or use the Find My iPhone iOS app.
For more information, read what to do if your device is lost or stolen.
