Turning off yellow warning messages?

Do we have any control over various warning messages?
For example ‘Swiss Franc is not an official Currency in Unites States’ or ‘ Expense date doesn’t fall
within the dates of the expense report’

Hi All,
So far there is no option to restrict warning messages on UI.
Please add this request in Idea Place to add the same in product backlog.

I would like to remove the annoying warning messages whenever we re-compile a jsp file using embedded OC4J.
    Steps:
    1. create an web project

I'm so much glad to see JDeveloper giving out all the details and warnings, but sometimes they spit out too much warning messages that simply annoys and distracts my programming.
There seems to be no parameters for me to shut those up, maybe I should do it manually?
    thanks.

    Ronald,
I've already tried setting up the j2ee-config.xml file, but
it seems that the warning message does not come from the oc4j, but is generated when jsp file is being compiled, so no matter what you do with the j2ee-config.xml, it would not work to remove the warnings.
I was thinking maybe I could setup the java compiler option found in server.xml, by adding -nowarn option in javac options attribute, but it seems that the file server.xml gets overwritten automatically whenever the oc4j restarts (so, no avail).
    So... any other ideas?

  • Turn off scripting warning message?

Every time I go to shutdown iTunes, the program gives me a warning that other programs are using it for scripting. I would like to be able to eliminate this message and just be able to close iTunes as normal.
    can this be done?
    thank you.

I am afraid don't know anything about Pidgin plug in, but in general terms - if a plug in or program is using the COM interface, iTunes will not close without asking you.
I haven't seen this message myself, I don't suppose there is a "do not ask me again" check box on the message?

  • Computer turns off without warning on battery power

Starting a few weeks ago I've found that my Macbook Pro has been turning off without warning while on battery power. The first time this happened it was after about an hour of use and now it happens within a half hour or less. If I try turning it back on it shuts off before OS X is fully loaded. According to CoconutBattery my battery's health is at 97%, so the battery isn't losing overall charge capability. When I'm on battery power it says I have 2-3 hours of battery life left. Sometimes I notice this will drop between 1-2 hours after 20-30 min of use (if it'll stay on that long) but it never drops and gives me a warning of low battery. It just shuts off without warning. If I press the button on the battery after this happens I do get 4 out of 5 lights. This never used to be a problem. My computer is 14 months old. I've replaced the battery once about 8 months ago (under warranty) because my original battery was losing capacity very quickly. Because 14 months have passed I can't simply get a new battery under warranty. According to Cocoanut Battery and the Finder my battery should last near it's full capacity. I can't figure out why it's randomly shutting off. I have had all the latest updates including the recent battery patch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will award "solved" for a solution and "helpful" for posts that contribute to the solution. thanks!

Actually (and fortunately), that's incorrect. Apple extended the warranty for all Core Duo notebook batteries to *2 years* from date of purchase. Details are here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/macbook_macbookpro/batteryupdate/
Your full charge capacity is fine (as you noted). But one of the symptoms listed on the linked page is +"Battery exhibits low charge capacity/runtime when using a fully charged battery with a battery cycle count (as shown in System Profiler) of less than 300."+ The word runtime in there applies, so I would call Apple or make a Genius Bar appointment and head into a store. (I did the latter, they replaced mine - free of charge - 15 months after purchase, no AppleCare, and no hassles).
    Hope this helps...

  • My MacBook Pro turns off without warning

My MBP (13 inch, purchased mid 2010) turns off without warning. It is a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4 GB Memory running OS X Version 10.9.4. It happens after periods of both short and long use and has been occurring for the last few months. I keep it updated regularly. I have yet to receive a report when I turn it back on that explains the shut down. So far I have reset the SMC and PRAM as others have mentioned that it helps. No luck though. My battery lasts all day, and I don't use my computer heavily. It doesn't feel hot when it turns off either. There is simply an audible "click" and a black screen. Can anyone help explain this? It is getting very frustrating having to constantly worry that it could crash at any second.

  • Macbook air turned off without warning?

Hi! Last night my macbook air turned off without warning and wouldn't turn back on until I tried again this morning. A few weeks ago I had my battery and logic board replaced and since then it the screen has gone blue for a few seconds and then back to normal a few times, (in case this is related at all). Is there something I should do to make sure this doesn't happen again.

As you say it is just been repaired I would take it back to the place that repaired it and ask them to look at it.

  • Turning off the status messages

Can you turn off the status messages that can be sent via e-mail when a print job is finished?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

In your ePrint account under ePrint Settings you will see an option for Allowed Senders.  Change the option from Everyone to Allowed Senders Only.    Once you do that, you can add the email addresses you want to allow to send faxes to the printer (the system will auto populate the field with email addresses that have already been sending faxes).  You can uncheck the boxes under Email job status.  Once this is done, you shouldn't received notices for print jobs sent from the unchecked email addresses.
Also, remember a click on the Kudos star to the left is a quick "Thanks" for a helpful post.
Please select the "Accept as Solution" button on the post that best answers your question.

  • Is it possible to temporarily turn off receiving group messaging?  If so what will the people sending the message see?

Is it possible to temporarily turn off receiving group messaging?  If so what will the people sending the message see?

    Welcome to the discussions!
Is it possible to temporarily turn off the wireless signal being emitted from an Airport Extreme whilst still remaining connected to the internet via ethernet? If so, what do you need to do to turn off the wireless signal?
Open AirPort Utility - Click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab located just under the row of icons
    Wireless Mode = None
Update to save your new settings
You can reverse the process to turn the wireless back on when you are ready.
Also, how strong is the wireless signal? If placed in a basement of a residential property, is it likely that the signal would reach two floors above?
It's just not possible to accurately predict wireless performance in advance for any installation. A guess would be that the signal will be very weak, and likely unusable, but you won't know for sure until you try it out in your house.

My Imac will suddenly turn off without warning and then take several hours before it will switch back on again. Can anyone advise?

    I like that third tag...
There's really no telling what the problem might be - you may want to try running the Apple Hardware Test (if you can) to see if you've a hardware issue. If you can't even get to the AHT, you've no option but to take the machine into your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them run diagnostics on the machine.

  • Network Diagnostic Service won't run, Symantec turned off, yellow triangles by all network devices

We have a Lenovo laptop that suddenly cannot connect to the network (Windows 2008 R2 domain). The o/s is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. The system tray icon shows that no network connections are available. When I run the troubleshooter, Windows detects that the Network
Diagnostic Service is not running, and when the troubleshooter attempts to fix it, nothing happens.
Looking in Device Manager, I see a Realtek LAN card, a Cisco wireless card, Teredo Tunneling adapter, and 5 WAN miniports. All are showing a yellow triangle. Under Unknown Devices, I have one device with a question mark and 5 with yellow triangles. I tried
uninstalling/reinstalling the network adapters, but it made no difference.
In addition, I got a message yesterday in the Action Center that Symantec Endpoitn Protection and Windows Firewall were both turned off. This made me suspect malware, but a Malwarebytes scan did not turn up anything. I am now trying a scan in Safe mode.
I've googled this extensively and have seen articles about Teredo Tunneling issues and Network Diagnostic Service issues, but I am not sure of the root of my problem. I don't want to try registry edit solutions or uninstall anything else if those solutions
    are not my specific issue.
    Any help appreciated.

    Hello Peg2011,
Have you made any changes before the laptop can’t connect to the network?
Please take the following steps for troubleshooting:
    1. Update the network cards drivers from the manufacturer website
    2. If you still can’t connect to the network, please run the command ipconfig /all to check if the IP information is right and share us the result.
As this issue occur suddenly, you could try to use the system restore to return your PC's system files and programs to a time when everything was working fine.
For more information about system restore, please take a look at the following article.
