  • How to turn off the touch interface sound?

    Model: HP Touchsmart IQ826t
Finally get to use this machine the way it was intended now that Windows 8 is out, but the touch interface sound is bothersome. Seems as though it should be the easiest thing in the world to turn off.. but I cannot for the life of me figure it out. Ive searched the web high and low..even seen others ask this same question with no response whatsoever.
How do I turn off the touch interface sound?? (the 'beep' sound made when my finger makes contact with the screen) Ive tried going to the now updated 'Pen and Touch' (previously HP Touchsmart Configurations) settings under the 'Hardware and Sound' in the Control Panel and..nothing.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • How To Turn Off Zen Micro

i tried holding the play button like the ipod for 4 seconds and it doesnt turns off. can someone help me?Message Edited by Money_King on 07-4-2005 04:47 PM

The Zen Micro has a power switch on the top, nexto the headphone jack. If you slide and hold it towards the power icon, it'll turn off/on. If you slide it the other way it's in the Locked position (so the buttons won't respond, if you want to put it in your pocket or bag for instance).

  • Can't Turn Off Zen Micro with V2 Firmware

I just decided to upgrade my firmware to V2 for the hell of it. The new firmware seems odd at best, but I just don't feel like going back to V. One thing that really annoys me is that I can't charge the Zen to full anymore. It always seems to be stuck at 2 bars max. And those 2 bars seem to run out in less time too. I think its because the player is actually running in Docked mode for as long as the thing is charging. I'd like to know how to charge it using USB without having to have it go to Dock mode, as in not have Windows constantly keep an open connection to it.

Turn off all of the WMP and Creative explorer services. I don't have these set to autorun, or auto start.
So when I hook up a player, as?long as I dont have any of it's services running or folders open, it will just charge and not be docked.

  • C6-00. Screen turns off, but touch sensor still wo...

in normal mode (non physical keyboard mode), i use it, everything works fine..
but in physical keyboard mode, once slide it, a few secs later, the screen turns off.. i tried to use the lock button at the side to turn it on back, but, nothing happens, i have to slide n lock unlock it many times to get it turned on again.( BUT SOMETIME, WHEN I SLIDE IT, EVERYTHING WORKS NORMALLY!)
when this thing happen, even in normal mode, i cant revive it back... i take out my batteries, put it back, start, it still doesnt turned on. but with "some miracle", sometimes it does turn on back.. but when i go to keyboad mode again... screen turns off.. same **bleep** happens.
    anyone face the same problem?
"what do you mean by touch sensor still works?"
-when the screen turns off(at home screen), i press at the "contact" at bottom right of the screen, the phone does vibrate. proves that the touch sensor works.
    fyi, i've tried,
    7370
    7780
    shift + space + del.
these 3 formatting methods just doesnt get this thing back to its normal condition again.
    sigh. lost trust in nokia

It is the latest v 20.0.042. In fact, I already reinstalled the firmware again and did a hard reset *#7370# but problem is still there. The display is totally off now either in vertical or horizontal keyboard mode, I have to slide the keyboard a little and hold it there to get the display back, it is too tiresome and is unacceptable. So I highly suspect the it is the sliding keyboard that causes the display problems.
I went to Nokia Care and they said that this phone is no longer under warranty. I will have to pay a substantial amount of money to have them repair it. This sucks

  • MediaSource not recognizing Zen Touch pla

    Hello,
We recently got new PC's at work and I didn't have my cd with me... so I downloaded the drivers/media source for my Zen Touch. I followed the troubleshooting steps - reinstalling, etc. Windows sees the player and I can click the Zen player icon in My Computer (sees it as an external dri've) and can see all my songs... but when I get into MediaSource it doesn't realize I have a player installed. It's not an available source dri've at all. I noticed it never says "device connected" on my player's screen like I think it used to on my old pc when I'd bring up the media source. what am I missing or doing wrong?

You need to install "Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin 2.00.9 for Creative MediaSource" in addition to MediaSource itself.

  • Help!! Need to reload my Zen Touch Pla

I tried to upgrade my player and it told me that it upgraded successfuly and when my player restarted it now tells me that there is firmware problem and the recovery mode comes up.
    Creative Zen Touch v0.0.0
    . Cleanup
    2. Format All
    3. Reload Firmware
    4. Reboot
I have formated the player and attemped to reload the firmware, it asks to me to erase the current firmware and reload via usb cable. Then tells me to start firmware update now. I have downloaded the ZenTouchP4S_PCFW_LB_2__0 firmware file and all it tells me that my device is not connected. I hear that the usb connection is acti've and windows asks me what to do with the device, and it shows up in My Computer.
My player is only about 6 months old.
My computer system is Windows XP Media Center 2005
    Pentium D 2.8GHz
    024MB RAM
    Intel chipset
    Any help would be appriceated
    Tony

Try attaching the AC charger to your Touch and then plug it into the USB port - this has been known to get the computer to recognise the player and then you can re-install the firmware.?With regards to the pointless and unhelpful comments that have been posted on this thread (and elsewhere on the forum), what's the point? Of course there will be people wth poroblems here - that's what the forum exists for! All major electrical companies have units with faults, not just Creative (try googling Apple and see the 6 million websites dedicated to iPod problems!!!!). You fail to mention the thousands, if not millions of people using their Creative products with no problems. The opinions of one disgruntled customer is unlikely to deter informed people of making a decision to puchase from Creative. True, you have a right to your opinions and to express them, I'm just not sure this is the right place. This forum is intended to help people. Contact Creative directly if you to?have an issue, and get out of the way of those on this forum who are trying to HELP people.

  • I have tried turning off ipod touch to restore as forgotton password and this hasnt done it

forgotton password and have tried resetting it by turning off and on . this hasnt workd help

If you've forgotten the passcode then you will need to connect the iPod to (preferably) the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPod and re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPod into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808

  • Should i turn the zen touch off when recharging?? or should i leave it o

    thanks.

You can either of the two.
If you go to settings you can turn idle shutdown time OFF, and that way your player will always stay on when you are charging.
Wheter or not you want it on is up to you...

  • Turned Off iPod Touch 1st Gen During Restore. Did I kill it?

My 1st Generation iPod Touch wasn't being detected by iTunes so I chose the reset option that erases all data. While it was restoring, I thought it froze because the white progress bar under the apple stopped midway and I turned the iPod off. Now when I switch it on, the black screen with the apple logo switches on for about 10-seconds, and then the iPod powers off. My mac doesn't detect it and I've tried holding the home and the sleep key. What else can I do?

If I were you I would call Apple about this problem

  • Turning off iPod Touch

When I turn my touch off...I just hit the on/off switch real quick and the screen goes black. Would it be better to hold it down until the red slider appears? Does either way make a difference?

Why would it be ok to tap it if I'm going to use it tomorrow or in a month? It seems like a delay in usage is a delay no matter the the length.
So what I really need to know is what is the difference between the two...tapping it off and powering it down?

  • Tablet turns off when touching off screen border with cover on

Hi, I have a 1050L with a kwmobile cover. When the cover is on, it is enough to touch the side of the cover (off screen, where you hold it with your hands) with the built-in camera and the unit shuts itsself off. I need to hit the power button to turn it back on. This is very annoying. Without the cover, the problem does not occur at all. I looked for sensor settings and such, but so far to no avail. Please anyone help so I can continue using the tablet. The problem is only on the side with the camera, the other edges I can touch and hold without problem. Thanks a lot. Gunther Schwarz

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

  • Can't turn off ipod touch

I have a brand new 8GB iPod touch. No matter what I try I cannot turn it off. I hold the top button down and nothing happens. I hold the top and Home buttons down simutaneously for over 20 seconds and the only thin that happens is the Voice Control app turns on. Very frustrating.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Unable to turn off iPod touch 3 after IOS5 applied

    Hi All,
after I applied IOS5 my itunes started to sync my songs. At the same time some apps were updated and now my iPod hangs. I am unable to reboot the device, holding the power on switch (the button above) will not show the red bar for shutdown.
    Any idears?
    Thanks,
    Daniel

It's called a reset. Always a useful thing to know about!
Though personally I never bother actually turning mine off, I use it so frequently that it is silly, plus it takes more battery to turn it on and off than it does just to put it into sleep mode.
