Turning PDF Documents into Word Documents

Can I use my Adobe Creative Suite 6 to turn PDF documents into Word Documents?

Acrobat comes with most versions of Creative Suite and it is capable of converting PDFs to Word documents. The quality of the results depend on a number of things. If the PDF was originally generated from a Word source and it's well tagged, you will get much better results. More complicated layouts will generally have worse results and there will be considerable cleanup in Word needed. Exporting to text is sometimes better.

  • Unable to convert PDF file into word document

I just signed up with Adobe in order to convert a PDF file into a word document and it continues to fail.  Any suggestions.

If you have adobe X, simply go to "File" -> "Save-As" and Microsoft Word is an option. Also, there is a download (paid) called Able2Extract that will allow you to convert pdfs to word, excel, etc. but the formatting is often lost. If you get the premium package, you can even convert scanned documents. I've used Adobe X to do the conversion, and it retains headers, footers and all formatting.
And i personally share you with a article about how to converting PDF files to Word(.doc), you just need to follow the easy guide.
Hope it can help you a lot.

  • Is there a Mac Application that exactly copies PDF documents into Word?

    Hello,
I work at a University and acquire electronic texts for students with disabilities from publishers. They come in a PDF format where the images on the screen can be highlighted with the mouse. Sometimes I have students who require documents in Word format as they use Jaws software and I am currently using a PC and use Abbyy PDF Transformer or SolidConverter PDF to transform PDF's into Word.
I just got a Mac for my office and am transferring over my files etc. I plan on using Parallels in order to use the PC versions I currently have. Is there a good Mac equivalent out there that works well?
I've installed Adobe Pro 9 on my Mac for splitting PDF's etc. and it has an Export to Word function but I haven't been able to get it to work properly. Are there any free Mac programs that will convert a PDF to Word successfully?
At work I'm on a 21.5" iMac the base model.

Yeah this isn't my questions but I thought I'd ask you my questions since you seem to know what your doing an I dont have time to call Apple. Wanna just read the jist of it all? Read the bold, italic, and underlined peice.
I'm 14, Im failing geography, so I typed a AMAZING, mind bobbling, GOLDEN essay, if you will, with tons of extra crazy information, I started my essay at midnight, I used every single adjective in the paper in the thesaurus to make it sound like I'm a 30 year old college english professor, the essay was brilliant! I finished roughly around 4 in the morning, I didnt save it because I had one last finishing touch, the title! I couldnt think of the title so +_*i went to yahoo answers to ask for suggestions and then i opened up my dashboard to use the dictionary/thesaurus widget, but the movie widget was all covering it up so I went to edit my widgets to move the movie widget and then my dashboard froze. My Microsoft Word for Mac document was on the page underneath the safari page, then the dashboard is open. I can move my mouse around, and can even click someparts of the safari page in the back but the widgets wont go away and its not more frozen than ever, I tried commandaltesc for force quit but then I would have lost my document that I didnt save, besides i couldnt even click the "force quit" button because a widget was in the way!! I even tried to command+Q to quit the safari page so I could TRY to save the Doc from behind the dashboard but I didnt work. But when I plugged in my ipod,(hoping that itunes and iphoto would open normally and wake up the screen) but only iphoto opened up and command+Q worked on that but not for safari! Please, please, PLEASE tell me there is a way to unfreeze my computer and not close my word application, or if i have to close it out can I recover my essay or most of it at least??*_+

  • Insert  PDF document into Word 2007 document

I am trying to insert a PDF document into a Word 2007 document and only the first page inserts.  I am desperate to finish this project.  Thanks for any help.

A lot depends on what your end goal is in using the PDF. Without some concept of where you are headed, there is not much more that can be said, other than list a bunch of other ways to interact with WORD.
Yeah, I agree with Bill@VT. More precisely say, if you just need to quote the pdf content, you can just use "snagit" screenshot program to capture desired part of the pdf file as an image then paste into your word document. Usually in this way, there will not any resize or data loss of reuse pdf content into word file.
And of course, if you want to further change or edit the pdf content or seamlessly <link removed>, you just try to convert pdf to word with Adobe Acrobat or other software.

  • Illustrator JPGs turn into Black box when pasted into Word documents

I have made JPGs of my letter headding to paste into Word documents. When I paste them they look like a big black box. It doesn't even seem consistant, sometimes it works mostly it doesn't. How can I fix this issue?

How are you "pasting" them? If you are exporting JPG from Illustrator use Worst's Insert > Picture > From File. PNG would probably be a better option for your export, though.

I need to convert PDF file to Word Document, so it can be edited. But the recognizing text options do not have the language that I need. How I can convert the file in the desired of me language?

The application Acrobat provides no language translation capability.
If you localize the language for OS, MS Office applications, Acrobat, etc to the desired language try again.
Alternative: transfer a copy of content into a web based translation service (Bing or Google provides a free service).
Transfer the output into a word processing program that is localized to the appropriate language.
    Do cleanup.
    Be well...

  • How do I change a PDF to a word document?

How do i change aa PDF to a word document?

In Mac preferred method (because it uses Adobe's PDF engine):
Save file as word Document (for Backup)
    Go to Print Menu
Click and hold on PDF button until context menu appears
    Choose Adobe PDF
Wait for menu to change - choose quality (this eqivelent to job options in Distiller) and turn off open with Reader (or Acrobat)
Then click okay to go to nex window item
Either use Title assigned or change (I usually remove references to Microsoft Word-, and .docx so it just shows as for example Joes.pdf),
Browse (pick out) to desired save Location.
    Click Save.
Go to location saved and open.
Notes: Expect to multiple PDF if the Word document page have switches in Page orientations.
URL links won't cme over with this method.
To have Urls to be active (except those created with the Format menu > URL)
    Do the following:
    Locate the Word Document
Locate the acrobat Icon on the Dock (similar to Start up menu on PC)
Drag the word document to the icon of Acrobat on Dock and Drop
Wait ........... You might have enough time to boil you a pot of coffee
When PDF pops up on screen save at once!
You will now have a document that will have live MailTo's and URL's except for those created with the URL wizard ( select desired word> go to Formtat menu > URL >when opens type desired URL or Mailto)
This is a 15 year old bug Adobe refuses to fix. Don't bleive the blather the put out bout the proper hook in Mac Version That's been proven as false years ago.
