Hello everyone...
Did you ever bored the accustomed ways of using ADDT development modes, i guess yes, me too.
The Login/Logout transaction are very useful for every membership driven websites but you might get some problems logging in/out! this problems happens due to hard coded content, or multible url params in the same page.

I am getting errors with my logout transaction

Here is the error message I recieve:

The user is still logged out, but instead of re directing to the page after my logout, I recieve this error.

I have had some weird issues with the logout.
Waleed has a tutorial for an Alternative Logout Transaction that might help:

You could also do a manual logout.
Make the logout link go to a logout.php page.
On this page you would have some basic code like this:
session_destroy();
header("Location: myredirect.php");
exit;
This would destroy the SESSION data and redirect the user to myredirect.php

Tutorial Announcement : ADDT "tidbits"

Hi folks,
now that my ultra-long "DW, ADDT and TinyMCE: the SMImage plugin" - tutorial can finally be considered completed
(at least for now ;-)), I´m happy to announce a new sort of tutorial on my website :: this one is called "ADDT tidbits" and - unlike the other full-blown ADDT tutorials on my site - is meant to become a collection of comparatively concise how-to´s covering a variety of aspects which might come in handy for you guys.
All "tidbits" will be assembled on one page

Thanks for the tidbits and tutorials; as always they are appreciated.
Your tidbit for creating a directory reminded me of an anomaly I encountered when developing this some time ago...
I have done this in the past to create www.website.com/username directory and have restricted certain names from being used in registration for the purpose of avoiding a directory being created and overwriting a current directory.
For instance if someone registered with username "include" which created a directory "include" it would overwrite your current include folder!
In order to avoid this I have populated the database with names of directories that I do not want created and thus overwritten by registers.

I use spry to create an autocomplete form that works great across browsers that have javascript enabled. You can store info in a database and parse the info to xml for a dynamic approach. Take a look at the filter examples in spry.

Open the photo, assuming it is in Photos, and then in the lower left corner under the photo is a box with an up-pointing arrow. Building a multiple style website is amazing thing, where you can have a new look for your website every day, or even everytime you want your website fully changed from style to another, and give the ability to your website visitors to pick one of available styles they comfortable with.
Today herein this tutorial we will learn how to build a dynamically switched style website application, and i mean dynamically here by storing a number of styles into the database table by uploading more than one [.css] files to your server throught File manipulation process, then define which one of these styles is the default one, the default style automatically checked when every page loaded in the browser by checking an external file contains the default style information set by the site administrator.
After complete this tutorial you will be able to:
1- Uploading new style to your website by using easy Online Upload script.
2- Updating curent style files.
3- Choose which style is the default style and which is not.
4- Allow visitors to select one of available styles to switch the whole site look to it.
Note: you cannot define more than one default style, otherwise you will get un stylized page at all.

Herein this tutorial i`ll show you how to add a great JavaScript tooltip to your forms, this option will help you to explian to your website visitors which data they should fillout the form fileds with, because you might applied for many online forms with unknown data or missunderstanding what you should write correctly in some form fields.

First, you need to include the js files and css files as in the Live demo and Define tooltip text.
to include files switch to Code view in Dreamweaver cs3 and add this lines between the tags.

but the Update Record, to change the user's information will not work.
to achieve that go to the users area and create a new page named "update_information.php" or what ever you prefer.
apply the basic update form wizard to the page by selecting > server behavior > adobe developer toolbox > forms > update record form wizard
1- select the required fields like: database name | table name "where the users information stored in".
2- select which fields you want the user to update "User name | Password | Email address etc...
3- in the primary field value equal to "URL Parameter" the "tbl_id" change it to be "SESSION VALE" & in the value textbox add this value -- kt_login_id
click the next button to continue
in the validation rules select the desired fields you wish to become required.
Click the Finish button to end the wizard.
now you have a user update information page restricted only to registered users in your website.
don`t forgot to apply the "restrict access to page" over the page to make sure it`s protected.

I would say that depends on your Market and your choice of
Keywords. If your market is saturated then it's gonna be a tough
one. If you know the Keywords people use to Search for products in
your Market... I would say that's as good as it can/will get.
You can always Submit your site to the Search Engines in
hopes of being ranked high.
If it seems worth it... you can always go the Pay per Click
route.

kudos for writing your first ADDT tutorial, and I can´t praise you enough for doing this :-)
Just had a quick look at it, and I find it *very* well written and comprehensible -- heck, even I can understand it ! :-)
One suggestion: as most of the embedded screenshots are pretty small, I think it´s better to open the full size image in a popup window rather than on a blank page.

yes i know that the MX Site Search has been discontinued and no longer available, but it's also does not need MX kollection to run.
it needs only dreamweaver 8 and MX site search installed. as you know of course, any way i am trying to help.
may adobe developers see this tutorial and try to re alive MX Site Search again to be included or make it compatible with dreamweaver cs3 again...

just added a new tutorial to my website which I assume to be of interest to not just a few users, also because it´s not just PHP specific and can be realized by ColdFusion and ASP VBScript users as well.
This tutorial is about replacing ADDT´s Captcha implementation with a custom "honeypot" solution, and I think it´s one of my very few tutorials which should be easy to follow also for beginners ;-)

However I just added a new chapter called "how to check against randomly created strings" -- in other words: how to replace ADDT´s Captcha image with a text-only version of the very same random string ;-)
This approach is also incredibly easy to implement, but it´s a PHP-only solution which requires ADDT´s Captcha libraries.
