Can a user save an adobe interactive form in blackberry while he is not connected to the SAP system.
The user is not logged on to the internet(the user is offline/ not connected to the system)when he or she fills out the form.

Adobe Interactive Form - Offline Scenario

Dear Experts,
I am new to this feature. I am developing sap interactive form with offline scenario. I try to put the button in adobe designer and call my Function module that exposed as web services.
Questions
1. When I execute, It was failed. Do I need to install adobe professional in order to make it work?
2. What can I see, we can put Java Script code. In the end user side, do we need to install adobe professional or adobe reader is enough?

Hi,
At the user end, Adobe Reader is enough to call the web service. What is the issue that you are facing while calling the web service? If you search you will get many threads which explains the steps of calling web service.

SAP adobe interactive form does not open via LE 2.5

I try to open interactive form (created from SAP) via Nokia E71 and LE 2.5 but it says that i need newer version of reader??! What is newer versio and where i could find it?

Require a credential for the Adobe Interactive Forms scenarios- Charges

Hi Friends,
I need a info on Adobe Document Services, I have configured the service in an ECC 6.0 system. Now I would like to enable the interactive feature of adobe forms. which is further required to apply for a credentials .pfx file PKCS#12 file. I just want to know whether it is chargable ( $ ) for one credentials, I have S -user ID of my client. I need this for testing purpose ..is there any alternative way to get this PKCS#12 file in free for some duration or the only way to create message to SAP applying for credentials ( As per SAP Note: 736902)

I did some investigation about the licensing for Adobe forms and i figured out from our SAP Rep that first 20 forms that you change..are free and after that its chargable..You might need to check your SAP Rep to get more insight into it.

Authorizations for Adobe Interactive forms

Hi,
During Adobe configuration I encounter serious trouble in determining the needed authorizations. We implement basic Adobe forms initiated by managers.
Can anyone please instruct which SAP ECC roles are needed for executing Adobe Interactive forms?
Situation
We assigned the Adobe roles:
SAP_BC_CM_USER
SAP_ASR_MANAGER
The manager has also assigned authorizations to view PA objects for subordintes.
With extended authorizations I can start new process. However, when the process is started with same user but with the authorization mentioned above I receive the following error:

Hi Tom,
When you are familiar with authorizations in PFCG trabsaction you are finaliar with S_DEVELOP if not ask the authorization team on your project.
Basically this authorization object handles the read/write etc authorization related to devlopment objects. If you implement Adobe forms you will probably develop your own forms or at least copy the SAP forms to customer namespace.
For Adobe you will therefore have 2 custom development objects (1 for the form and 1 for the interface that is automatically generated). The end-user shoulf have at least READ access to these objects. If not the portal will trow an error on this.
To determine the tech names of the objects find the form and related interface in transaction SFP. These should be inserted in the object S_DEVELOP in the role for the end users.
You may want to consider to put the value Z* in the object which will give authorization for all the custom developed objects.
If you can't find the object reply again and i will send a screenshot.
Finally, make use of the splended transaction ST01!! It will make your life a lot more easy in portal! It traces all the authorizations needed and missing for any user you specify. After activating the trace and running a portal scenario the log will tell you want went OK and what not on an authorization object level.

There are lots of developments involved and before to start with, i would like to understand is their any license cost involved for using Adobe Interactive Forms and also if we are doing new enhancements to the forms.

New forum area for Adobe Interactive forms

Would it be possible to create a separate thread for the adobe interactive forms? Most of the conversations are under the webdynpro forum, but because people refer to this area by so many different names (adobe, ADS, interactive forms) it is really difficult to do a search for anything specific. (also, you cannot distingquish a post between ABAP interactive forms and Webdynpro interactive forms until you are deep into the message).
I think enough folks are starting to use interactive forms that we can get some good topics going!
Also note: the adobe homepage on SDN needs more visibility. It is buried under too many links. I had to email Matthias Zeller to get the url. I lost patience after about 20 minutes of searching.

A last thought/comment:
I just went to the WAS homepage. The link is under FEATURED CONTENT under the black/bold heading Interactive Forms.
I would not equate the adobe home page as "featured content". Now that I have been told, I can find it, but I spent 20 minutes using the forum search to find it and the results were mostly to the help.sap.com links. Maybe a title change under quick links might make it more intuitive.

Visual Admin service not present for Adobe Interactive forms

Hi EP experts,
i want to use Adobe Document for creating Adobe Interactive forms in webdynpro java.
but initially i want to activate Adobe Document Service from Visual Admin..
For this ,Under Cluster tab of visual admin, i want to select Document Services Configuration to assign the credential under com.adobe~TrustManagerService.
But in visual admin of EP 6.0 SP19 there is no Document Services Configuration under services of cluster tab...
To enable this ,is there any need of any patch-up to be installed for Adobe Document Service.?
How should i confirm if alreadt respective Adobe Document Service or patch is Installed on EP server 6.0 SP19.

To Check whether it is installed or not go to Netweaver administration -- configuration --services -- adobe doc service - click on this link ,proper message will be display about its availability.

Adobe Interactive forms - ABAP Webdynpro or JAVA Webdynpro?

Hi,
I am an ABAPER and I got few requirements for Adobe Interactive forms Offline Scenario/Online scenarios & ALV reports.
I have practiced a session ( How Tou2026execute an RFC model with inputs from Interactive Formswith RFC Module ) -JAVA webdynpro where it interacts with SAP via BAPI.
Now my question is I am bent more towards ABAP.. I want to do this in ABAP but unfortunately I haven't found any similar material for ABAP webdynrpo.Could anyone pls suggest me !
FYI.. We are also developing some ALV Webdynpro reports and I am using PURE ABAP which i like it.
So the other reason is we don't want install NWDI and complicate this structure as we don't have ESS/MSS requirment here. Just we need some forms/reports on portal.
Any suggestions and links which can help me here?

You can develop Interactive forms using WD ABAP also.

WD Java is useful in case, when your ABAP system is less than ECC 6.0. Otherwise you can achieve same functionalities in WD ABAP also.

Migrating PCR frontend-JSP forms to Adobe interactive forms-WD Abap Comp

Hi All,
We are currently on Netweaver 7.0 & ECC 6.0 and ESS - MSS Business Package 50.4. We are using JSP Forms on portal front for Personnel Change Requests (PCR's ) where in all the scenarios in the backend are heavily customized with good amount of usage of Javascripts. For certain scenarios, where in a huge amount of information is fetched from ECC 6.0 backend system, JSP are performing really bad and the total time taken to display the form is actually causing a lot of irritation to the end user.
We are planning to propose an upgrade to SAP adobe interactive forms. The prerequisite is that the business wants to reuse all the customized scenarios without any changes and just want to move towards better front end forms.
My questions are:
1. Please list benefits of SAP Adobe interactive forms - ABAP component over JSP forms (performance wise)
2. Issues with SAP Adobe Interactive forms?
3. Since Javascripts do not work in Webdynpro ABAP. How can we implement those front end checks and validations.
3. Any other options available for UI that can be suggested?
All suggestions are welcome. Quick response is appreciated.

Is your performance issue with the Javascript with JSP pages? or the Java script you are using within the Adobe form in your WDJ custom application using Adobe form? I have worked on PCR's using ISR framework old school it used to call as PCR and now HCM Processes and form, Developed PCR's using WDJ also integrated workflow with the WDJ PCR for approval(we never had any performance issue) infact ISR frame work was kind of slow compare to custom WDJ solution and less flexible for a developer to develop.
I have also worked created WDA custom application for PCR's , WDA is definitely better when you compare it with WDJ but I have not seen much performance issue with WDJ atleast on custom PCR solutions.
I don't have any case study to share with you, can you please tell what kind of PCR's your client is using and what kind of performance issue you are experiencing and where and why you guys are using Javascript.

Navigation problem while using Adobe interactive form in web dynpro

1st view contains an ADobe from and a button to navigate to the 2nd view..
No problem with the first view.. displays everything...
The Problem is when i click the button to nsvigate to the 2nd view, its not loading...

Note: Make sure to upgrade the Adobe Interactive for ZCI type using SFP_ZCI_UPDATE transaction
Subsequently, check whether the update of the ZCI was successfully completed. To do this, open your form in the Adobe LiveCycleDesigner and check the version information of the ZCI script. The ZCI script is available on the "Hierarchy" tab page under the "ContainerFoundation_JS" name. The version must be800.20080513120641.469612.469346.
