After struggling and being unable to upgrade my BIOS on my Advent DT2412 computer to the offical MSI BIOS what has a B75MA-P45 mother board inside; I finally managed it!

OEM=HP,Samsung, Dell etc etc. The fact it's MSI, doesn't make it "owned" by MSI or designed. These been made for OEM brand, and its their responsibility to help you on this.
This forum is based on parts easily available for custom builds, OEM parts are only available from OEM brand, not from MSI. And also Notebooks and other computer based stuff. Not OEM based.

OK people we need a thread where we can all show what kind of overclocks we are getting at the moment with our A64 boards, both for our interest as a resource, and anyone who happens to want to know what the boards can do with different hardware configs.
Just post your system specs (CPU, RAM, MOBO, COOLING etc etc) highest overclocks, and as much relevant information as possible, like settings you think made a difference. If you reach a higher overclock that you originally posted, simply edit your post to reflect that.

Mine will be updated next week when I collect my MSI Neo Platnum, 3400+ "CG" stepping and i'm also ordering some OCZ PC3500 EB and some AData Vitesta PC4000 to play around with and hopefully hit those uber-FSB's. :D

Max tested stable overclock with corsair 3200ll rev 1.2 is 220fsb 1:1 HTT divider doesn't work with this memory. HTT divider is very unstable if it works at all.
Max (still testing) with corsair 2x512mb 4400 Mem at 166:200 240HTTx4 mem at stock volts, cpu 1.6v. I just got this far this morning. Priming now as I type. Failed prime95 at 1.55v.
2xwd 36gb raptors raid 0 won't work on SATA 3,4 only 1,2. Instant bluescreen if using ports 3,4. HTT seems to max at 240 and I've tried every multiplier and 3x 2x HTT. I think I've got the 3,4 HTT limitiation and 1,2 doesn't work with my drives
I must admit up until about 2 hours ago I was very disappointed in my new platform but now the system is faster than my barton at 2500mhz with some headroom to go. It's starting to look good if i can get some of these bugs fixed in a new bios.

Should I wait for the Venice or go for the DFI? Do official MSI reps exist here?

I love the feature-rich Neo4 SLI, but the board (along with my winnie) is just pissing me off! I chucked about $1500 on my new rig and (of course) can't clock over 215 FSB. Anyway, my board just recently died after a little over a month's use and I had to RMA it (thank god for newegg). I just recently turned into a World of Warcraft addict, and being without my computer is hell. I won't have the new MSI board back until sometime next week, and I'm considering buying a DFI nF4-SLI-DR and selling my MSI neo4 SLI in hopes of having a more stable, better overclocking system.
My question is, is there any reason to keep our hopes up that the mem controller on the venice will solve our really crappy OC'ing capabilities, or should I head over to DFI and change my loyalty for someone who seems to have their act together and knows how to get a bios update out fast. Like I said, I love the features of the MSI, but DFI seems to care about their customers a whole bunch - I feel very disconnected from MSI ( I don't think that MSI even has an official rep here in their forums - unlike DFI-street.com )
Anway, I'm just naturally pissed that my Overclocking focused MSI board won't overclock , I don't have my MSI board because it died, and dadgumit, I need my WoW fix ...

The rules clearely state we are just a user to user forum. Too bad you've had such a bad experience, but if you feel you've been neglected and are not happy with a product, then there's nothing stopping you from making your decision. We'll always be here. Understand your frustration, but your threats to go with another manufacturer kinda falls on deaf ears. In other words you're barking up the wrong tree, and alienating other users.
As far as your question, it is possible things may change, but the only way to know for sure is wait and see what happens. It is what I do in most cases. I've gone through the early adoption phase, not my scene nowadays. Sometimes it's the price you pay, when you want to play.

MSI P6N Platinum OEM, BIOS update needed

Hi, I got an p6n platinum oem board, which looks different to the original board by msi. There are no heatpipes inside and the e-sata is missing and it looks like the p6n sli (without platinum). The BIOS ID: MSI P6N SLI Platinum A7350NM7 V1.08 110107.
Where can I get the BIOS update/is it possible to flash with original msi BIOS update?

We can not offer support for OEM products. Support is only available for MSI Retail products.
Remember, there may be slight design differences between the OEM version and the retail version. The retail bios may brick or distabilize the OEM version.

You would need to return to U.K. for warranty service. The iPhone warranty is not international.

HT1222 When I try to install iTunes 10.7 it says it can't find the iTune64.msi file. I can't seem to find a replacement download for that file.

I have ITunes installed on my PC which runs Windows Vista in support of my IPad. When I try to install the update for ITunes 10.7 version, it says it can't find the "itunes64.msi" file. How do I correct this, or where can I find a download for the itunes64.msi file?

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

Currently I cannot find anything official on enterprise app distribution - only third party information. Has something changed, or is this a documentation glitch? Surely wireless OTA enterprise app distribution is still available via the enterprise developer program?
Note: We currently use this for one of our enterprise clients. But before recommending other clients to join the enterprise developer program, we would like an official citation on whether this mechanism still exists.

What causes the itunes.msi error and what is the best way to fix it?

i have windows xp. when trying to update to itunes 8.2-the installer can not locate the Itunes.msi file. i found the file but the installer can't use it. this is also the case when i try to delete itunes and/or reinstall.
what causes this error and could someone point me in the right direction as how to fix this.
also i can't open itunes without having my ipod connected..so annoying. is that normal?

I move the one on my desktop (wrong file) into the solitarie file and was asked if I wanted to replace the graphics file in the solitarie folder (the correct one). I said yes accidently and then remembered that I had made a mistake. If I use undo, it only move the wrong file back to the desktop. Is there an undo of replace?

Sorry, but's that's why you get the warning. "Replace" means just that - the new file over-writes the old one. There is no undo.

because my application demands me to use GridBagLayout.No it doesn't, that a choice you made. You are never forced to use a specific layout manager. In fact most layout problems are solved by using combinations of layout managers. You two main choices are:
a) use a GridbagLayout for the main panel and then a CardLayout for the two components you want to sway, although it may look strange if the components are a different size as the preferred size of the panel will be the size of the largest component
b) Simulate a card layout using:
panel.remove(...)
panel.add(...);
panel.revalidate(...)

This isn't an issue. Notice the screen prior to the one that shows usage has an iCloud section and a Manage Storage button. For this button to activate ios needs to download a few kb from icloud. Switching back to this screen forces ios to download those few kb.

How many times can Windows 7 be syspreped, what is the official Answer?

Hey everyone, can somebody out there give me the straight answer on this? What is the official number windows 7 can be syspreped? I am looking to build my reference images, but every time I do this I have to 150+ updates each time. Can
I get way with just updating the reference image every time? I have heard there is a Max number of times you can do this before you have to rebuild.
We are running WIndows 7 Enterprise with KMS.
Also will this apply to 8.1?

Sysprep limitations are due to the windows activation process.
There is no limit to the number of times that the Sysprep command can run on a computer. However, the clock for Windows Product Activation begins its countdown the first time Windows starts. You can use the sysprep /generalize command to reset Windows Product
Activation a maximum of three times. After the third time that you run the sysprep /generalize command, the clock can no longer be reset.
Assuming you are using a KMS: We recommend that KMS clients use the sysprep /generalize command where the value of the SkipRearm setting is equal to 1. After capturing this image, use the sysprep /generalize command, where the value of the SkipRearm setting
