How do you use Lightroom5? Can make neither head nor tail from so called Lightroom 5 tutorials. Tells me that Lightroom creates library on installation, which makes it impossible to find any of my images via Lightroom. It tells me how to import images from a camera card, but nothing about dealing with images already on computer Apparently lightroom wants to put everything into it's default folders, or something like that. I already have tens of thousands of images organized into folders. There's nothing in the instructions that tells me how to deal with them. Saw post by someone else who said that Lightroom has taken all their images out of existing folders and they have no clue as to how to get them back into their proper folders.

I'm sorry to hear that you're running into problems. A few things:
* Are you saying that when you click Import, Lightroom doesn't show your C drive and Users folders in the Source panel? Here is what I see? Typically, you'd pick a folder or sub-folder under My Pictures, although you might be putting your photos somewhere else, which is fine.
This is Windows 7. What OS are you using?
Please let me know if you continue to see nothing.
Finally, the videos under Lightroom Workspace on http://tv.adobe.com/show/learn-lightroom-5/ might help give you more detail regarding how LR works and how best to make it work with your existing workflow.

My HD on my pc just recently went down. I had to buy a new HD and reinstall windows on the new HD. I am running a 64 bit system, and have installed itunes (x64). itunes wont recognize my phone. I have done all troubleshooting tutorials. HELP!

I just had to replace the HD on my system. I am running a x64 system and have installed the correct version of iTunes. ITunes will not recognize my phone since the new install. I have went online and followed all of the troubleshooting guides on Apple support. No good. I have uninstalled and installed iTunes several times. I have even tried reinstalling windows. I also get an error message when I start up Itunes that reads " The registry settings used by the itunes drivers for importing and burning cd's and dvd's are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other cd burring software. Please reinstall ITunes. I am so frustrated, I know there has to be a solution. I tunes works in all other senses, just not recognizing my Phone. I need help, my wife and I both have iPhones and need to sync..........

You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

You say/show Fit to Artboard, but I believe it should be Fit to Artwork.
When you save with Create PDF Compatible file ticked, you actually have a full PDF included in the file so you can always open it with Acrobat/Reader. It may also be worth mentioning that it is safer to Save a Copy when you want a PDF, better safe than sorry, some have found themselves without the AI file.
For crispness of vector artwork (and avoidance of lossiness) always choose PNG(24) over JPEG, transparency or no transparency.
For web and similar use, you should always make sure that the actual pixel x pixel size fits, and that is easier when you use Save for Web. You can use the Art/Type Optimized option (hidden away) in the Image Size window.
You may (or may not) wish to use the (mostly) dreaded Align to Pixel Grid when creating artwork for web and similar.

Have you read the AppleWorks Help documents that came with the application? To access them, open AppleWorks, then go to the Help menu. For the two projects you list, the Draw environment seems the best choice tool to use.
If your leaflet is a trifold brochure, you'll find an example brochure (that you can base yours on) in the Templates section of Starting Points. Some of the other templates in this section may also give you ideas about the cards or about other forms of leaflets.
The graphics included in AW's Clippings library don't include a borders section, and most of the clippings are a bit dated.
Although AppleWorks is fine for simple brochures and cards, you may find that Pages, part of iWork is more flexible and easier to work with for this purpose. One potential problem there is that iWork may be in line for an upgrade next month (the last two Januarys have both seen full version upgrades to iWork). While that won't make the current version obsolete, the new one will likely include more capabilities and some improved features.
As for online tutorials, a search for "AppleWorks tutorial" (with or without the quotes) will bring up quite a few. Most, though, seem aimed at a school setting, and the majority are strongest on the word processor module.

I had set up my original itunes library on a pc in my previous home. I have left this home due to a marriage split up and now live somewhere else.
I have a new lap top which I am desperate to update my ipod nano on.
I have set up home sharing, and authorised my laptop. Unfortunately, I no techno whizz, and I'm really struggling now with this.
I have plugged in my nano to my itunes on my lap top and it is offering to either delete everything off my nano for what is held on as purchased songs from itunes - a total of approx 30 songs, from approx 1400 songs on my nano, or just update to show my purchased songs.
Help!! I'm getting to the end of my tether with this. Yes, I have read the tutorials and help through itunes.
Nothing is making sense or working.
Can someone please explain this to me like I'm a 3 year old?

Rather than using such huge margins (536 px for #sponsors!)
try this layout.

Actually, it still does not work correctly. Because I have
already applied a background image to the containing div, it
appears correct. The sponsors div content actually still falls
below the center, content div, instead of being top-aligned with
the headlines and content divs.

Help with JQuery Mobile App- Passwords

I just downloaded the Dreamweaver CS5.5 trial today onto my MacBook Pro (OS 10.6.6) and am trying to make a JQuery Mobile web app. Once users get to the webpages on their iphone/android, I need them to be able to login so that they can get data specific to that specific user. So far, I have

This makes a nice looking username and password login area, but now I do not know what to do after the user inputs their information and clicks on the "Login" button. Somehow, I need it to recognize a correct username/password, and link to a different page if it is correct, and produce an error if the username/password combination is incorrect. Any help would be greatly appreciated; I'm really new at this.

Can anyone help get me started on making a simple custom web gallery template?

I have tried using the documentation and a freeware template as an example, but I am getting confused, and I think the template is over-complicating things.
I have a web-template that requires the following to get images to automatically work in a gallery:
Full size images in a specific folder
Thumbnails or each full size image in another specific folder
Simple HTML code for each image which allows for image title and description information
The script takes care of the rest. So what I want to do is have Lightroom genereate the images in their specific folders, and the HTML code on the fly for each gallery I wish to publish to my website. I'm posotive this can be done, but I'm having trouble customizing the code. I've tried looking for tutorials and help, but the documentation on this is limited, and I'm not a programmer. I do however have enough experience with basic web design to be able to work with existing templates with relative ease but this is seemingly difficult as I'm not sure what each file in the plugin structure is actually doing. Any suggestions on how I can make a simple gallery output like this? Or a link for a good, solid, easy, step-by-step tutorial?

If you have a button on the same timeline as your code with
the instance name of abt_mgn_btn, then, when this button is
released, the playback head will jump to frame 10 of the current
timeline and continue to play.
If you want the playback head to jump to that frame and stop
then, either use gotoAndStop(10), or put a stop(); command at frame
10. GotoAndStop() will work more reliably.
Have you gone through the tutorials that come with Flash?
These tutorials may help you to understand the basics of working in
Flash CS3. You may also benefit from a book or two on Flash. Try
