Tuxedo calling EJB in pub/sub model

Hello Everyone,
I have a tuxedo application which works on pub/sub architecture. I have an eLink
adapter which publishes the data from the database and an another adapater which
has subscribed for it. So once this gets the data(tuxedo server-c program) how
does this call EJB(java)in my WLE Domain 5.1v . does JOLT/JET help in such scenarios?
Just wondering JOLT enabling of the server (the server which subscribes for the
data) helps here!
Please help. It's urgent.

we have our business logic encapsulated in EJB's. Due to performance issues we don't want to call the EJB's via the webservice model in Web Dynpro. Thus we decided to use the Java Bean model in Web Dynpro and call the EJB's we need in the execute method of the Java Bean.
This worked fine before we migrated from FP12 to FP14. Now we get a
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/ejb/EJBHome
exception when we try to access the EJB in the execute method of the Java Bean.
This happens although we have defined a library reference to
sap.com/ejb20
in project properties -> Web Dynpro References.
Did we miss something in order to use the ejb20.jar?
Any help to this topic is appreciated.

Tuxedo calling EJB question

Folks,
I have read some documentation about WTC and got in doubt.
In order to have the EJB access from Tuxedo service, I have to make it as an EJB 2.0 putting the RemoteHome and Remote as some Weblogic Tuxedo classes.
That is fine.
My question: does the method name have to be "service" always?
I saw that in the example and could not find any other example. Also, testing, it has not executed with any other name.

Are you access Tuxedo Service through EJB? or trying to call an EJB from Tuxedo Service?
If you are accessing Tuxedo Service using an EJB, it should work with any name (EJB name and method can have any name you want).

A question regarding Synchronous, Pub-Sub non-durable model

          Scenario:
          Non-durable, publish-subscribe, syncronous model.
          Publisher1 and Publisher2 both post messages to a Topic at the same time. How to
          design the non durable Subscribers that would be able to obtain both these messages
          in the same thread?
          e.g. if i in my program I create 2 subscribers, with selectors configured for the
          2 different messages...
          program start
          1. create sub1 using selector1 for topic1
          2. create sub2 using selector2 for topic1
          3. sub1.receive(timeout)
          4. sub2.receive(timeout)
          5. further processing using both the obtained messages
          6. program end.
          In the above case, if messages arrive at the same time in the topic, only sub1 will
          be able to get the message, as sub2 won't be active at that time.
          Is there anyway to acheive this considering Synchronous, Pub-Sub non-durable model
          is to be used?

I'm just beginning to learn Cisco VOIP. Can someone explain to me in a simple way what SUB & PUB mean in relation to Cisco Unity & call manager mean, and how it's used in the real world. My supervisor wants me to do a unity & UCM backup, and I'm not really sure what I'm doing

PUB = Publisher
SUB = Subscriber.
In simple terms, think of the Publisher as the manager of the CUCM cluster. Configuration changes are typically done on the Publisher, and it distributes those changes to the Subscribers. Subscribers perform call processing, phone registration, software conference bridge, music on hold, etc., and in some setups the Publisher will as well (depends on size and design, as Jaime mentioned).
The Pub-Sub relation for Unity is a little different... which one handles voicemail traffic depends completely on how the connectivity with CUCM is configured. In some setups, they will be distributed voicemail traffic evenly, while in other setups the Pub may get all traffic until its ports are full, and then overflow to the Sub as a backup.

But I was nto able to call EJB 3.0.
Is calling EJB 3.0 supported from ALBPM 6.0.2?

EJB 2.1 session bean calling EJB 3 session bean?

I have a WL 10 (JDK 1.5/EE 5) server that has several EJB 3 stateless session beans deployed and working well. But now I need to allow a JBoss 3.2.3 (JDK 1.4) EJB 2.1 session bean make remote calls into these EJB 3 EJBs. Can this even work?
It seems to me that EJB 3 calling EJB 2 would be fine, but not in the reverse?

Calling EJB with HTML via SERVLET

Hi,
I used a writen example that calls EJB from HTML via SERVLET. Example name is Bonus. The problem I have is that the HTML throw error while calling SERVLET. I dont figure out what seams to be a problem. Someone know?

The error is that page cannot be found! When I run only the servlet it works, when I run the HTML page and enter the field throws eror that the page cannot be found!

Tuxedo calls procedure and Application Level Service Failure

hello ,professors all!
My Tuxedo Service just call an procedure exists in oracle9i, i am sure that the procedure runs ok in oracle9i individually, when it was called by my tuxedo service , it is not ok by first time ,and runs out tp application level Service failure error .But strangely it is ok by second time！
who can explan it to me and show me a way to solve the difficult problem?
i spend a lot time wondering the answer!

There are many possible reasons why a database procedure might fail the first time it is executed and succeed after that.
You should check the Tuxedo ULOG and Oracle database logs for any messages that may point to the problem.
If there is a LIBTUX_CAT:6205 or LIBTUX_CAT:6206 message in the userlog file then you need to add a tx_open() call to your server's tpsvrinit() or tpsvrthrinit() function.
If there is an OPENINFO string for the group where your server is running then you are using XA transaction management and should not be connecting to the database in your application code; if there is not an OPENINFO string for the group where your server is running then you need to connect to the database in your application.
If you set the environment variable
TMTRACE=*:ulog:dye
for the server where the failure is happening then Tuxedo will write a trace record of each Tuxedo call and each XA call to the ULOG file. This can be helpful in determining why the failure is happening on the first call, especially if Tuxedo is handling transaction management using XA.
I hope some of this is of help in debugging the problem.

Is it available in the interface you are using..
If the answer is yes.. you might have probably forgotten to deploy the EJBs ear file after making the changes..
Rebuild it.. and deploy the EJB s ear file again..
It will solve the problem.. If that also does not work,it might be a problem with the cache.. restart the server..
It should work now !

How to Call EJB from coldfusion

I need to call EJB that's created in JBoss from coldfusion.
I'm getting different errors depending on how I set the home object
and provider url.
If I prefix provider url with jnp://, then I get the

If I take the jnp out and keep just the ip address and port,
then i get the following error
null (no security manager: RMI class loader disabled).
So I'm not sure what the issue is and I haven't used this
feature before.

How can I call EJB from JSP/Servlets in iWS?

Hi!!
My JSP/Servlets are on iWS, and I deploy EJB on iAS.
In this case, I don't know how JSP/Servlet call EJb on iAS.
I'd like to know how I can set JNDI name in JSP/Servlet on iWS.
I will thank you if you give me a simple example source using JSP/Servlet
and EJB.

Why Are you running your JSP/Servlets in iWS instead of iAS? For whatever
reason,
look at the Converter sample from iAS. You will be doing RMI/IIOP in this
case and the sample explains in detail what to do.

Call EJB from a XI Javamapping

I have developed a simple EAR which contains a CMP with local and remote interfaces. This cmp may be successfully called using the remote-interface from a client (j2se) project. Now i like to call the same CMP from within a XI JavaMapping. In the execute method i am using the following code:

after calling ctx.lookup ... i got the following traceentry in xi:

Call ejb from browsers

Hello Developers!
I deployed my ejb to OAS4081. I call that
from JDeveloper so it good. But when I try
to call from applet in IExpl5 I can't
instantiate the ORB. I've got a com.ms.security.SecurityException : oracle.oas.orb.CORBA.ORB.init
I coded the CLASSPATH(oasoorb(yoj),client,
ejbapi...) perfectly, I think.
If anybody could help, please...

          I saw someone on this group had a problem to locate proper classpath
          to call EJB from JSP. I thought if you call EJB from classpath, you are
          calling the bean. But you loss all the EJB functions. To be able to utilize
          EJB features like object pooling. You need to call it from Weblogic server
          using url/jndi, not from the jar directly.
          Any comment? Am I right?
          BTW, my question about calling EJB from JSP means calling through URL,
          not a local path.
