TV Anywhere Remote Wont Work
My TV Anywhere Remote has stopped working. I have checked the connection for the Recever to the Card and have changed the Battery to a new one but still it wont work. Does any one have any suggestions?
Is the InterVideo WinCinema Manager still running in the systray? If it isn't, try re-starting it. If it is still running, try ending and then re-starting it.

my Atv3 is due for an update and ive tried several times to install it but although it downloads it never finishes installing and tells me that it wasnt possible to update and to try another time. I try every other day and it only inches forward in the progress but it never completes the installation. I was tired of waiting and I decided to keep on trying in a period of time one night until it would finally install, that never happened and Im not sure what is going on but the remote stopped working with the atv3 and when I press a button the box light flashes several times but does nothing, ive disconnected it and left it that way for over 24 hrs, ive disconnected everything (tv, internet etc) and nothing. I cant reset the atv3 through the remote either...i dont know what else to do

Thanks restoring and restarting didn't fix my problem - i have started it fresh and still it doesn't work. Basically I press ONCE on the remote, after the machine has not had any commands for 10 minutes, and the cursor skips from one end of the menu to the other - so I can't choose network or update software etc - I sometimes manage to stop it randomly in the middle of the menu if I press on a command in the middle of the cursor skipping all the menu steps...not sure what the problem is but I have basically not used my brand new apple tv since I bought it for that reason! I should call Apple support I suppose! grrrr hate wasting time with stuff like this!

Verizon Remote Wont Work in DVR Search Menu
The last couple times that I have tried to use my remote to search for a show/series on my DVR, the arrow buttons wont let me navigate or select different letters in the search field. I have to physically go up to the DVR box and use the arrows on the unit.
I already tried powering off the DVR and taking the batteries out of the remote. Still nothing works in that menu. I still have all other functions on the remote.
Anyone have any ideas?Verizon support is in receipt of this issue. We will send you a PM to gather additional information.

I had the same issue after trying everything I took the battery out and poured alcohol on it and clicked all the keys constantly for awhile and it seems to have cleaned some dust or something and it's finally working. worth a try if you've had it for awhile and it's collected some couch dust.

I had the same problem. I tracked it down to bonjour was not running on my mac. Once I manually started it everything started to work. I think remote works off of bonjour so if it is turned off or disabled remote won't connect to your itunes. Remote App and iTunes wont work! Please help.
I am having a really hard time making the remote app work with my HP laptop. I have a Mac that connects flawlessly through my remote app but the HP just wont see my phone. I have done everything possible with firewall settings but still can not connect. Please advise on what I might be doing wrong.
Usually when this happens either quicktime is not installed properly OR you have the Qoologic adware on the PC.
So first we will scan the system for adware. A good program for catching the Qoologic adware (Which affects iTUnes) is Ewido. You can download and install it here http://www.ewido.com Just scan the system and if it finds adware, have it remove it. -

Whilst the remote app can be used once the Apple TV has been set up, you still need the original remote to set it up first. -
My network company resently chaged my modem. Now i cant get rowmote or remote to work, my mac wont even find my printer. Whats going on ?

Infrared Remote not working unless held very close to AppleTV
I'm not sure if there is a problem with the remote or AppleTV. The remote only works if held approx. 8 inches away from the AppleTV. The remote works fine with the computer and will control the Mac from the other side of the room. I was expecting the remote to work from at least a few feet away from the AppleTV. It seems pointless having a remote if you have to get up and hold it next to the AppleTV to make it work. The remote App on my iphone works fine anywhere in the room but I would still like the infrared remote to work. Has anyone had any issues similar and is there something I can do to fix this ?
same for me. sometimes the remote doesn't work unless it's very close to ATV2, but it also appens that it stops working even when it's close. the only way to control ATV2 when it happens is to use the remote app on my iphone. strange, very strange. and it happens from day one. setting up the system with the supplied remote was a real pain in the ...

Access to Outlook Anywhere does not work
Good evening,
I recently installed an Exchange Server 2013 CAS / MB.
Until now, the server presented a few errors (mainly in the
event log) that does not seem to significantly influence functionality.
This week I published the server on the Internet and verified various malfunctions
related to the access from outside.
In particular from outside:
1 - OWA does not work with Windows integrated authentication, it works with the Forms based authentication;
2 - Outlook Anywhere does not work from internet.
I've done a lot of research and testing without success.
With regard to the first issue (which is not a priority but can relate to second one)
add that in Firefox I get a first authentication request. If
I enter credentials it ask again for identical authentication (repeatly), if I cancel it shows a second one that instead allows me access (are slightly different).
I assume that the first is the integrated Windows application and the second is basic authentication.
Internet Explorer shows me only the first authentication request and if I cancel shows blank page.
The problem is
priority 2:
Outlook connects without problems on LAN network, the Internet
seems to download the correct information
(autodiscover), but then does not connect
to the server (connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable).
If you manually edit the settings,
auto-configuration server returns as
a [email protected]. If I change
manually the server (and proxy settings
http), the result does not change.
- Setting information -
The server is installed
in the LAN network and is exposed on the Internet through
a firewall (Pat on port 443, et al. not 80)
on a public address.
The public and private DNS have been configured with a
host record (A) and two
CNAME (webmail and autodiscover).
The internal Outlook clients connect
with autodiscover and HTTPS /
NTLM / SSL (Outlook connectivity
status).
IMAP, SMTP, POP, ActiveSync function.
Exchange remote connectivity analizer retrieves Autodiscover information but doesn't pass test for RPC/HTTP access (it discard accesson
port 443 and try port 80, SPF isn't configured).
The navigation to the url
https://proxyexternalURL/rpc/rpcproxy.dll has the same behaviour like problem 1.
Test-OutlookConnectivity returns unmanaged error ('WARNING: An unexpected error has occurred and a Watson dump is being generated: Failed to find the probe result for invoke now request id -- and probe workdefinition id --').
Errors in eventviewer: 5011 - WAS (one time), 139 - MSExchange OWA (some not ripetitive), 3028 - MSExchangeApplicationLogic (every 6 hours), 106 - MSExchange common (many during working hour), 65535 - application (some at nighttime 00.00 - 03.00 a.m.), 1006
- MSExchangeDiagnostic (every 30 min), 6002 - MSExchange Mid-Tier Storage (about every 5 minutes), 5 - MSExcahnge Workload Management (one time).

are two static public addresses
of which only the latter exposes Exchange services;
2 - The certificate
*. Domain_name.test is not related
to Exchange services;
3 -I imported the certificate
of the issuing CA on the standalone test PC to validate the certificate.
3- The port 80 is not open and are not published SRV records.

Adobe Flash Player wont work after all steps taken, what haven't I done to make it work?
I tried to play a game I love & I got this message: "To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.0 or greater is installed" So I went to your site to update my flash player & hit the "Test Flash Player" button & it came up

i cant login anywhere as all my passwords are saved in firefox, i cant even access teh firefox preference to get my password, it's so sadYou likley have a corrupted Firefox preference or other support file in your User/Library folder.
Programs load these files from the user account to adjust to user specifications, instead of having multiple copies of the same program on the machine.
So when you reinstalled Firefox, it reinstalled the progrma only and the user support files remained from before.
To prove this point, use System Preferences to create another Admin account and log into it, Firefox should run like a charm.
To remove the Firefox support files from the problem user account your going to need to locate these files and delete them one at a time and try FF again and again.
The first one you shoull try is your FF .plist file located in your User/Library folder.
Clicm on the Finder and use the Go > Go to Folder and paste this
~/Library/Preferences
and press Go.
Now scroll down until you see the Firefox or Mozilla .plist file and Trash it, quit and restart Firefox, it will recreate the preference file with default settings you will have to reset it.
Next run through the list of fixes #1-13 here before proceeding.

If you need help deleting other FF files, download the free Easy Find from MacUpdate.com and search for anything "Mozilla" or "Firefox" in your User account only and take your chances you hopefully won't delete your password file in the process.
You should have site passwords written down someplace and locked up tightin case you need them, a computer isn't totally safe and reliable. -
Torch 9800 my email wont work via wifi
I have just sync my new torch from my old bold. All info transfered perfectly including my 2 email accounts.
I have the misfortune of living in a 2G only area on remote Island. SMS, phone calls and wifi only. I had my old Bold working through wifi hot spots onto my gmail account and it was sending and receiving emails just fine but the torch just keeps saying 'activation failed. A service connection is unavailable' each time I try to activate the account.
Seems as though it wont work through wifi, i can surf the net with no problems

Go to Solution.Turn off the WiFi connection, and go to an area where you have a clear 2G connection (EDGE) and do the following:
On your BlackBerry device, go to:
1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.
2. Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site:

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and log in. Then under Help!, select Service Books, then select Send service Books.

3. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot. This reboot, even if you have already done this, is often needed to install the service books.
Then, this should install the required Service Books to the Torch, and you should be able to perform all data services over WiFi as you have been in the past.

Need Help... "system preferences" under Apple icon wont work.
please help. i am a new mac user. i have an iMac. when i try and select the system preferences under the apple icon, it wont work. like the its missing or been deleted. i have searched for it, and cant find it anywhere.
what do i have to do to get it back. reinstall something?Open the Macintosh HD folder from your desktop, and in that, open "Applications".
Is there an entry there "System Preferences" or "System Preferences.app"?

You dont download it, it just registers that you bought it in the PSN store and enables you to download the content when its avilable.
