TV/DVD 19lv506: Full DVD functions from side of unit? Programming TWC remote for DVD operation?

Lost remote and need to operate all DVD functions from either TWC remote or from buttons on side of unit. So far, unable to program TWC remote to work DVD, though fine with TV. Can't seem to do anything but Play, Stop and Eject from buttons on side of TV. Can't Fast Forward, Pause, Rewind or access menu to select scenes, so must restart movies from beginning after taking a break and watching regular TV.

I don't know if that's possible. You may want to check Toshiba Direct for a replacement remote. They have a shopping assistance phone number listed at the top as well.

  • Program Remote for DVD Player

    I have been trying to program my remote to use with my DVD player. When I get to the screen where it asks me to select the brand of my DVD player (and then get the codes associated with that brand), my particular brand is not listed. Can someone please tell me what to do, if anything?

    If you have the four-button remote, try this process.  (It's from the instructions for programming when the codes in the book don't work.)
    "If none of the codes worked, try the following procedure. (As before, we will use the example of a DVD player. For other devices, use the appropriate Device Key instead of the DVD key, in steps 2 and 3.)
    1. Turn on your DVD player.
    2. Press and hold the DVD player key.
    3. While holding down the DVD key, press the OK key.
    4. Release both keys. The Device Keys will blink twice.
    5. Press 9 - 2 - 2.
    6. Point the remote at the DVD player.
    7. Press .
    8. Press . Every time you press , the remote sends out a new
    power-off command to the DVD player. Keep pressing until the DVD player turns
    off. (You can press to go back.)
    9. When the DVDturns off, you have found the right code. Press OK to
    store this code."

  • DVD Audio- I want sound from sides, not r

    Is there any way to reconfigure so that surround sound from dvdaudio comes out of the side speakers instead of the rear when using a 7. setup?

    Blakejohann,
    I am not aware of any way to do this. The mapping to the channels is discrete and our card doesn't have software that allows remapping channel outs.

  • Copy functionality from sales order to PR to PO for text items

    Hey Gurus,
    There is a bit of standard functionality in SAP that if there are text fields populated in a sales order that are also available in the PR and PO, that you can copy this functionality over when you create the PR from the sales order, and then create the PO from the PR.  Can you guys steer me in the right direction as to where I can find information on how to set up this config?

    go to
    SPRO-MM-Purchasing-Purchase requisiton-Text for Purchase requisiton- define copying rule
    here you can define
    select the 06 adn click on text linkage
    same in PO config
    SPRO-MM-Purchasing-Purchase order-Text for Purchase order- define copying rule for item text

  • Can't burn full disc bought from itunes b/c track is disabled for burning??

    CD is Sugarland, Enjoy the Ride. Everytime I try to burn a disc, during the checking playlist step I get a message that one of the tracks (These are the Days) is disabled for burning. Help!

    Apparently there are several issues that Apple has when attempting to burn your own CD for music. There are also several applications available in Itunes to burn a CD, I.T. MP3 etc. I am still having problems creating my own CDs' , initially, I did not have a problem, once I activated the MP3 downloads, all bets were off....

  • When a pdf file is opened in a tab, the automatic scroll function from the pad does not work in the other tabs, but only for the particular PDF tab.

    The scroll function from the pad/mouse does not work for the other tabs when a PDF file is opened.

    Hi NSHS,
    Have you checked to see if your PDF add-on is up to date? You should take a look at the [[Opening PDF files within Firefox]] Knowledge Base article. There is a lot of good information in there. You should try both of the suggested PDF add-ons to see if that fixes the issue.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Call peoplesoft function from java code

    Can we call the peoplesoft decrypt function from within java code ?

    Hi Sumit,
    For getting the connection, I would use something like:
    import com.sap.mw.jco.JCO;
    public class R3Connector {
         private JCO.Client jcoclient = null;
         public  R3Connector () {
                   super();
         public JCO.Client getClient() {
              if (jcoclient == null) {
                   /* get connection from Pool */
                   jcoclient = JCO.getClient (POOL_NAME);
              return jcoclient;
         public void releaseClient() {
              if (jcoclient != null) {
                   JCO.releaseClient(jcoclient);
    and of course you will have to define your POOL property somewhere (portalapp.xml presumably)
    Hope this helps!

  • Won't allow me to play sims 3 it keeps asking for the dvd, won't allow me to play sims 3 it keeps asking for the dvd

    it wont allow me to play sims 3 without the dvd. i used cd dvd sharing to download on to my mac but now its asking for dvd to open the game up

    Hi ashiib,
    The DVD/CD version of the game requires local access to the media (using a USB-based DVD/CD drive). EA started rolling out this sort of copy protection a while ago and most Sims forums will tell you that the disc must be present locally (not made available via DVD/CD sharing).
    Of course there's a downloadable version of the game available, but I suspect that you already own it, judging by your topic.
    I'm confident there's a No CD-DVD crack out there for it on the Internet but as that's not exactly kosher with the publisher you'll need to pursue those solutions outside of this or any official channel.

  • Is it possible to transfer Full-HD videos (from a Full-HD camcorder) from iMovie 11 to compressor 4 and create there a AVCHD DVD which can be played in HD quality at a PS/3?

    Is it possible to transfer Full-HD videos (from a Full-HD camcorder) from iMovie 11 to compressor 4 and create there a AVCHD DVD which can be played in HD quality at a PS/3?

    Yes.
    In iMovie use SHARE/Export Movie.
    http://help.apple.com/imovie/#mov3a9e5615
    Choose 1920x1080 (or size of your choice.
    Give it a name and location.
    You can drag this file into Compressor.
    In Compressor, use "Create BluRay Disk"
    That should work fine.
    There is another alternative, where you could skip the DVD and Compressor.
    Just SHARE/EXPORT USING QUICKTIME
    Choose Movie to MP4
    In Options, choose h.264 as the Codec.
    Choose a bit rate of 16000 or less.
    Create the movie.
    You can then put it on a USB thumb drive and play it on the PS3.

    Phil0124:  Sorry, I guess that I may not have communicated clearly initially.  The reason that I asked about the DVD reading capability in the first place is that I would like to be able to watch a movie "stand-alone" (like on an airplane) on my iPad without having an internet connection.  If VUDU is strickly a streaming service that wouldn't satisfy my needs after all.  After looking into the iTunes store offerings, I can see that I can either purchase a movie or rent one from them.  Either way, as I understand it, the content would then reside in a file in the iTunes folder in my computer (if rented, this would just be temporarily) and could be viewed on my computer and/or transferred to my iPad for viewing.  Considering the legal question, isn't there a copy being made and transferred into my possession.  So,what's up with that?
    Yes Vudu streams. iTunes does not. If you buy or rent a movie on your computer through the iTunes store, then you are legally entitled to transfer that movie to your digital device as long as that device is under the Same Apple ID used to download it to the computer, and is authorized to view the content. Usually this is the case if your device is synced with iTunes on the computer  This is legal and covered by the terms of use of the iTunes store.
    If your rent a movie on your computer you can also transfer it to your iPad but it will be removed from the computer as rentals can only exist in one place at a time. When the rental period expires the movie will be automatically removed from your computer or device, wherever it is when the rental period expires.
    If you buy a movie on your iPad these can be transferred to your computer using the Transfer Purchases button on iTunes on your computer while the iPad is connected to it.   Rentals on iPads or other mobile device cannot be transferred and must be watched in the iPad or device that download them.
    All of these methods through the iTunes store download the complete movie to the device or computer, so no internet connection is required for watching at a later date.
    Rentals have a 30 day life as long as they haven't begun to be watched.  Once the movie has been started then it has a 48 hour expiry period. That is you must finish watching the rented movei within 48 hours of rental as after that it is removed from the device.  You can watch it as many times as you want in that period of time though.

    Purchased movies are yours, and never expire. If you delete the movie from your device or computer it can be re-downloaded at no extra cost provided the Movie is still available in the store.

  • How to import DVD+VR (full res.) into iMovie HD?

    I created the disks from old VCR tapes using a Lite-On DVD Recorder and now I want to edit them (full res.) and burn them back to DVD. This is one of the main reasons I purchased this comp. (sales clerk said it would do it "No problem") I've tried a couple different programs but it always comes out pixelated. This is my first Mac and everything else works great.
    Thanks in advance,

    iMac Intel Core Duo   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Creating a DVD has already seriously compressed your VHS footage, so you can't edit at full resolution. The best way to use iMovie to convert VHS to digital is to use a miniDV camcorder as a pass-through between VCR and Mac. This will get your footage imported at the best resolution. You can edit in iMovie, send to iDVD to finish and compress to DVD format.

    You can convert yor DVD files into something that iMovie can handle, but you will have to get additional software for the conversions. Also, your quality will suffer. See how here:

  • Can I import movies originating from video's that were put on a DVD import in IMovie?, Can I import movies originating from video's that were put on a DVD import in IMovie?

    Can I import movies originating from video's that were put on a DVD import into IMovie?

    You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:
    http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html
    which is free, but you must also have the  Apple mpeg2 plugin :
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/D2187Z/A/quicktime-mpeg-2-playback-component-f or-mac-os-x
    (unless you are running Lion in which case see below))
    which is a mere $20.
    Another possibility is to use DVDxDV:
    http://www.dvdxdv.com/NewFolderLookSite/Products/DVDxDV.overview.htm
    which costs $25.
    For the benefit of others who may read this thread:
    Obviously the foregoing only applies to DVDs you have made yourself, or other home-made DVDs that have been given to you. It will NOT work on copy-protected commercial DVDs, which in any case would be illegal.
    And from the TOU of these forums:
    Keep within the Law
    No material may be submitted that is intended to promote or commit an illegal act.
    Do not submit software or descriptions of processes that break or otherwise ‘work around’ digital rights management software or hardware. This includes conversations about ‘ripping’ DVDs or working around FairPlay software used on the iTunes Store.
    If you are running Lion:
    From the MPEG Streamclip homepage
    The installer of the MPEG-2 Playback Component may refuse to install the component in Lion. Apple states the component is unnecessary in Lion, however MPEG Streamclip still needs it. See this:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3381
    To install the component in Lion, please download MPEG Streamclip 1.9.3b7 beta above; inside the disk image you will find the Utility MPEG2 Component Lion: use it to install the MPEG-2 Playback Component in Lion. The original installer's disk image (QuickTimeMPEG2.dmg) is required.
    The current versions of MPEG Streamclip cannot take advantage of the built-in MPEG-2 functionality of Lion. For MPEG-2 files you still need to install the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component, which is not preinstalled in Lion. You don't have to install QuickTime 7.

  • After installing Mavericks, my DVD player icon is missing from my launchpad. How do I get it back?

    I installed Mavericks yesterday and then tried to watch a movie.That is when I noticed the icon for the dvd player is no longer in the launchpad. If I put the disk in the drive it opens on it own or if I search for DVD player it will come up under a spotlight or finder. How do I get the icon back on my launchpad? I don't want to have to search/insert a movie everytine I want to watch one. I would lik to be able to just click the icon to open the player. Thanks.

    cfkola,
    Welcome to the HP Forum.
    I believe you must be referring to the Solution Center Printer software and not your Control Panel.
    Your Solution Center shortcut may just be missing -- or there may be a deeper issue with your printer software.
    The easier option might be to reinstall the Full Feature Software for your printer and see if that solves all the troubles at one time.
    In most cases, for most printers, the Solution Center has been replaced with the Printer Assistant shortcut.  This is just a new program that does about the same things as the Solution Center.  Some people like it better.  The interface looks a bit different -- many of the features are the same; for example, your scanning and ink check features will be available.
    The instructions to (re)install the printer software are provided in this Dragon document:

  • How to burn a dvd from Bridge, through the Output Module to a DVD?

    How do I burn a dvd pdf slideshow?  I have CC, ACR, Bridge and I have loaded the Output Module.  I know how to create the slideshow in Bridge.  How do I get from Bridge through the Output Module to the DVD?

    Copying the pdf to DVD is an OS function, not something to do from Bridge.  When you save the pdf you select a location where to save it (desktop or folder of your choice).  To copy that saved pdf file to DVD you use a DVD writing program on your system or OS copy function (such as windows explorer if on windows) to copy from the location where you saved the pdf to the DVD drive on your system.

  • Dropped macbook  making noises from optical drive, won't accept CD's/DVD

    Hi,
    I am new to the forum, and unfortunately I am posting because I have a problem. I dropped my MacBook (which I've had since August 2006) from a desk, about 2-3 feet onto tile floor. Luckily, everything turned on and is working just fine, except everytime I turn my computer on and everytime it wakes up from sleep, the optical drive makes lots of noise. It sounds like it is trying to eject a nonexistent disk, except it makes that typical noise 3-4 times in a row before stopping. Also, it will not allow me to insert disks (I can get them almost all the way in, but it won't go completely in). I checked in my system profiler and it shows the details of my optical drive, and it is a Matshita DVD-R UJ-857. I called Apple and told them what was happening, and they told me to bring it to a local authorized dealer. However, I am a college student and it's really hard for me to find time to give up my computer for an undetermined amount of time while they wait to diagnose it. Also, I have a feeling it is going to be really expensive, considering they want at least $100 just to look at it, before the cost of labor and parts to actually repair it. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice on alternatives or experience with this type of issue would be very much appreciated!

    My computer just started having the same problem, only I haven't dropped it. I did, however, inadvertantly knock a hot chocolate over, and a little got into the optical drive. I turned the computer off immediately, cleaned it, and left it to dry for a couple hours. But now, whenever I close the lid & the computer goes to sleep, the optical drive keeps making an eject noise (every TEN SECONDS, incredibly annoying). When the computer is open and running, this doesn't happen.
    Also, I just popped a DVD in there to test the functionality of the drive, it recognized it and went straight into DVD Player, so that's fine. However, it's hard to get discs to come back out ... it looks like the spilled liquid has dried but stiffened the felt(?) along the insert slot for DVDs/CDs ... when I try to eject, it makes a noise like it's trying to get the disc out, but can't. I used a paperclip (gently!) along the opening and that loosened it up enough to get the disc to eject, but it's still dirty... any ideas on how to clean that without taking the whole computer apart?
    I'm having one other issue now, and I don't know if it's related... when I use the trackpad, it won't recognize it if I use my fingers to tap & select items instead of clicking them with the button. But I can still use two fingers to scroll. I checked in System Prefs, it says I should be able to do all the mouse functions by tapping the trackpad, so I don't know what the problem is. :-\
