TV has gone very dim

Tv model: 40L2200U
After turning my tv the screen becomes very dim. Sound still works. I opened up the tv to see multiple capacitors leaking. There was a part i was not familiar with so i reasearched it and found it to be toroidal line filters. Im not sure if those need to be replaced too.
Edit: now i think the white substance is just glue so... i have no clue whats the problem now. I actually noticed that a few parts where missing.
If anyone can help with this problem, please provide any information possible.

I now its not the network as its fine with everything else. Also I have already tried restoring the ipod with itunes and that didn't make any difference. I have now reset it like you said but that didn't work. Not sure what to do now maybe safari just want work like it use to. I forgot to say it is a second gen ipod touch so it is quite old now.
Any more help I would be very thankful for.

Display has gone very dim

A couple of days ago, I left the dashboard on for a few hours because I was monitoring the weather conditions. I then turned off the dashboard, but the screen did not return to its normal brightness level. I cranked the brightness all the way to the top, just to get it to somewhere near the proper level -- however, it is still a bit on the dark side.
I have tried rebooting, but that didn't help.
This computer is about 8 months old.

likely to be some part of the backlight assembly, but could be the screen. Parts are available in the UK, but of course you will also pay for disassembly and fitting (at a guess £200-300 all in). Its worth plugging in an external display, if this works fine then it is probably the backlight. there are a number of "spares or repair" PB's on ebay, they don't sell for much. My PB is in the same state at the moment!

My 13" Macbook has a very dim screen. Replace inverter board or lcd screen?

I have a 13-inch Macbook and the screen display has gone extremely dim and is very hard to see. Should I replace the inverter board or lcd screen?

No dice I have it hooked up to an external display and can see that it isn't recognizing the battery. I've installed a brand new battery connector already, and this is the second battery (although they are from the same place, so maybe they had a bad batch?). I've done all the updates (firmware and Battery Updater) but still, nada. Any other suggestions?
I am not too familiar with this specific MacBook battery. When I push the button on the bottom, 4 out of the 5 lights come on, then the one in the middle, then they all go off. When I have it plugged in without the machine on, the light on the adapter is green. I start it up, and it goes to amber.
This is driving me crazy! What are the chances I would get two bad batteries? Or two bad battery connectors? Could it possibly be the logic board? I was thinking no, because it actually works fine without a battery and shuts off the backlight when the battery is plugged in.

My sons touch has gone very light , almost White. It gets worse as the battery wears down. He swears he hasent got water near it. What could this be do you think?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

G5 Dual - DVD Reader has gone very very slow after Leopard

After 1 Migrate install and 1 clean install, I notice that reinstalling apps is taking 4/5 times as long as they should it's as if my DVD Reader has gone very very slow. I thought at first it was the migration that had caused FCPS2 to reinstall slow.
(Sony DVD RW AW-G170A 4 months old) on G5 Dual 2's)
FCPS2 wanted 19-hrs to install, I waited 6 hrs and then gave up. Luckily or unluckily as the case may be I used the time install Leo on my other Macs.
In the end I have installed Apps over the Firewire network connected to my other G5 Dual with the stock DVD drive, they are installing fast now.

Some more info about my setup:
*Simultaneous Dual band AEBS:*
Radio Mode: 802.11n only (5 GHz) - 802.11b/g
Radio Channel Selection: Manual - 161 (5GHz), 6(2.4GHz)
*Airport Express:*
Wireless mode: Extend a wireless network
Allow wireless clients checked under the name of the network (same as for AEBS).
Both are WPA/WPA2 Personal security. And both the routers were upgraded to 7.4.2 firmware this morning with the hope that it will help.
*N Devices (both working fine):*
Apple TV 40GB
2009 Model Mac Mini upgraded to Snow Leopard - working perfectly.
*G Devices:*
Thinkpad running WinXP
Dell Laptop running WinXP
Acer Netbook running WinXP
iPod Touch
iPhone 3G
Linksys webcam
_All of the above are working fine_.
+2008 model Mac mini -+ upgrade to Snow Leopard shows extremely slow wifi connection that it is unusable. It takes 20min to load apple homepage. When I boot from the clone of my Leopard lying on my external drive, it works perfectly.
I compared the settings between all the tabs of Network-->Airport-->Advanced and they are identical between Snow Leopard and Leopard mode except that SL doesn't have the "Apple Talk" tab.
Appreciate any help to debug this.

5800 xpress music messaging has gone very slow aft...

it takes lot of time in loading the SMS editor and lot of time in sending a msg.

The brass contact that springs into taper on jack plug is on the vertical surface adjacent to where battery charger 2mm pin is inserted, away from all the other electrical contacts which are situated at either 180°or 90° to it for your information.

Safari has gone very slow

Hi there
I have an iPod touch and have found that safari has gone really slow. It takes ages to load the page and zoom in and out also scrolling up and down. It al started when I let my kids aged 11 and 9 used it. They where not as careful as me when using it but I was supervising and they did not drop it or anything. I have rebooted it then reset it to factory settings in iTunes. I have taken off the apps that they put on there but it made no difference. It has been fine since ios 4 update came out so it had nothing to do with that. I always thought that safari was quite quick but now its unusable on some sites, manly sites with moving images. It is like there is not enough ram any more. I know its not the modem as the two computers that i have are just the same, pretty good and there both using safari. Its strange as my mobile phone with android did the same thing about 6 months ago and nether improved. The phone does it on any wifi and mobile network, so again it cant be the modem. Is there any thing I can do with the ipod to speed safari up, or is that it I cant use safari any more and use opera instead?

Maybe you could let me know which hosting service you are using so that I can add them to my list of those NOT recommended for iWeb users!
I just dealt with one today who claimed the iWeb sites were incompatible and that the first line of code should be deleted from every HTML file before upload to their server.
They didn't even offer the information that it would be a lot easier to modify the .htaccess file never mind offer to do it for a customer.
Nobody should expect to pay for service like this and the answer is to dump them and go to a company that gives you some value and support for your money. If the ones on this page don't meet your requirements for cost and service...

Some users ventured into their out-of-warranty macbooks to check the actual cables going from the battery compartment to the logic board, apparently some batteries unplug. Others you can't get into.

With FW TDM, the failed computer can sometimes be powered up holding the T-key down, and a firewire icon would appear on the screen; then one could go about attaching or using a FW cable of correct type and connect it to another capable computer, then the failed computer's HDD would appear as an external drive. In the past, it was possible to clone or copy a drive from a computer that won't boot to another hard disk drive. Or at least copy stuff of that does not require the system to function along with the saved files.

TS1702 When shutting down my iPhone 4S the shut down circle has gone very dull

When I shut down my Apple IPhone 4S the rotating circle now appears very dull when before it was obviously very bright.
Please note I have tried to adjust the light settings on my device and it has made no difference.

Hi Brad, after speaking to Apple Support they have modified the shut down screen with software version 6.1 so that the rotating circle is dull as it was decided that it was an uneccessary screen.

Help. display has gone permanently dim!

i was downloading some things, fell asleep, i remember seeing the screen saver activated at some point. When i awoke the screen was black, the computer had gone to sleep. When i moved the mouse the screen activated yet it only returned to the dim screen(pre sleep brightness). the brightness slider in the Display preferences menu moves yet the screen brightness doesnt change. The manual controls (f1 f2) also have no effect. Since i was downloading at the time im wondering if it is a software problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

1. Try doing a Parameter RAM reset - hold down apple/option/p/r keys at start up and wait for three chimes before releasing the keys.
2. The screen brightness controls are only active when the ambient light levels are low, cover the back of both speakers to mimic darkness and see if they work then.

My Thunderbolt display has gone noticeably dim with the mis-press of a button.

I have a dual monitor set up with a brand new 15" MBP and Thunderbolt display. I was working on the Thunderbolt display and pressed a key and now my screen is noticeably dimmer, even though brightness settings are all the way up. Once I unplug the display from my MBP, the MBP takes on the settings and becomes noticeably dimmer regardless of the brightness settings turned up. I'm unsure as to how to fix this. Any tips on what I can do or mistakes I may have made?

After a few reboots of my Mac, reconnects to the display, and restarts of iTunes, the problem seems to be gone. I am unable to reproduce it now. So, yay! But for a while I was quite concerned. I haven't the slightest idea what was causing this problem, but there were many factors at play. Like playing to multiple sources in iTunes, equalizer settings, etc. I jut simply don't know enough about the technology.

Labview 2009 has gone very slow all of sudden

Until yesterday everything was fine. But today, when I pressed labview icon, it took more than 3 minutes to show me gettin started window. Also, when I try to open my project, it is taking significantly longer. Any ideas to get it back on running normally

"ear piece" - do you mean the ear speaker on the phone or the headset? You need to provide more specific detail, including what troubleshootings steps you've tried.
