TV@nywhere Plus - "Cannot init Direct show interface... (1001)" - Windows XP SP2

I just purchased a TV@nywhere Plus card, hoping to read video from a video camera.
Whenever I start the MSI video program - the program at the top of the MSI main panel interface (see the bottom of this page for a screenshot) - I get the following two errors one after another:
Cannot render audo renderer (5001)...
Cannot init Direct show interface... (1001)
Unfortunately, this means I can't read video from the card, so I'm stuck!  Fixing the video error is critical, fixing the sound error isn't important (the video I'm importing is from security cameras, which don't have sound).
I've tried updating the directx drivers, but they seem to be the most recent?
I've tried updating the MSI drivers from the MSI site, but they seem to be the most recent?
Someone mentioned messing with codecs somewhere/somehow, but I don't understand how to do that.
I really need help.  My only option at this point is to return the card and find another..
Thoughts?

I don't get errors using the program you suggested (or webcamxp, the program I was using), however, the video signal is black... no video going through to these apps.
Which is why I was testing with the MSI app, thinking if I could get it working there, it would work within my other apps.
I will try to refresh the video/audio drivers.

    I have looked around and i can't seem to find the TVR Application Interface software for my TV@nywhere Plus. I found the Drivers and the remote utility just need the software. I have lost my cd

  • Traceroute issue- MPLS VPN on directly connected interfaces

    I have 2 Catalyst 6509 Switches that Im trying to bring up and MPLS VPN connection between.  The loopbacks can ping each other, as well as the directly connected interfaces (the interfaces travel through 2 switches, but no routing etc in between).  An OSPF neighbor relationship DOES come up, and the routing tables appear normal.  However, the MPLS VPN does NOT come up.  
    After further review, I found that the routing tables are correct on either side for the loopbacks (public addresses X’d out on first 3 octets):

    In the Troubleshooting MPLS VPN manuals- it shows to test trace routes.  All of our other connections like this the trace routes work fine.  In this case though, I cannot trace route not only between the loopback interfaces, but between the DIRECTLY CONNECTED interfaces.  I don’t know what this is.  It should simply be a one hop trace route.  I believe this is what is keeping the MPLS VPN from coming up.  Any ideas?  Here are the relevant OSPF configs and interface configs as well:

    Greg,
    Can you explain more about your issue?. When you say MPLS VPN is not coming up, do you mean the ping (or traffic) from CE connected to one 6509 is not traversing the MPLS cloud to otehr CE connected to remote 6509?.
    Do you have VRF enabled with respective RT import/export?. Do you have MP-BGP with VPNv4 AF enabled?.
    To confirm if basic MPLS is working fine, Can you check if you have LDP neighborship up and running?. Use "show mpls ldp neighbor" to see the session.
    Also do a "ping mpls ipv4 <remote-loopback> <mask>" and see if it works?.

    I used to run mpd as a seperate user "mpd" but after installing pulseaudio as a requirment for gnome 3, I had to make it run as my user or run pulseaudio system wide (What is wrong with system mode) after changing all mpd files permisions and updating /etc/mpd.conf i still get this error

    daemon: cannot init supplementary groups of user "jacob": Operation not permitted
    mpd continues to run though however when attempting to play anything i get this error

    this is not actually an error. It just says it bound to your ipv6 interface before it could be bound to ipv4 interface. Define your binding statically in mpd.conf with
    bind_to_address "127.0.0.1"
    daemon: cannot init supplementary groups of user "jacob": Operation not permitted
    you are running mpd as user, altho you should be running it as root
    if you want to run it as user, make sure to remove the user line from mpd.conf
    problems opening audio device
    I can only guess here. You are saying you have pulseaudio. Did you configure the pulseaudio output in mpd.conf?
    if you do so, make sure to comment out the alsa output. If you want to use the alsa output with your pulseaudio server, make sure you have pulseaudio-alsa installed

    This is happening for most of the pupils and staff at our school and they are unable to complete their work.
    This also happens on a fresh copy of windows and CS5.5 without any updates and also with all latest updates.
    I have tried it on 32-bit and 64-bit CS5, Windows, Air and Java with the same error every time.
    There are a small minority of users where this works fine for them with no issue.
    I have tried re-setting user profiles.
    I have tried a local admin and domain admin account with the same issue
    I have noticed however that if the file is moved to the shared area it will compile. If it is on their documents area it will not compile. The users have full control in both locations. This is fine for staff but we are unable to give full control or modify access to the shared area for the pupil's
    I have been through the online support section and it directed me to phone Adobe Customer care who informed me that all support has been discontinued for CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 and they will only support creative cloud.
    Any ideas what to try next? There is no other information about this error and I cannot work out what is causing it.

    I have tried and  able to package an apk using your XML file.Could you please make sure your XML file starting from line 1 and coloumn 0.Any space will results in the error (Application Descriptor file cannot be parsed)

  • MSI TV@nywhere plus Remote with Windows 7 64 bit

    I have the TV@nywhere plus and Windows 7 64 bit.  Everything works except the remote.  I downloaded the latest drivers from the MSI site and I have the remote icon in the bottom right of the screen.  However it does not work.  If I click on it (the icon) and under settings it shows MediaCenter; I can not get it to recognize the MSI TV software.  And the remote doesn't work in Media Center either.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

     Did you download the >> TV@nywhere series Remote Utility << or just the other drivers? If it doesn't work with the Vista utility then it's not going to work in W7 64 bit.

    I have an app that extracts streaming video from live and recorded sources in direct show. Output is currently to Windows video player class, which is a part of direct show. Has anyone built a driver or interface to Live Encoder? I would like to upload a video stream as flash to a WEB page. Thanks for any help.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Use the File->Export->Slideshow menu route and select the size that best fits the digital frame's dimensions:

    Save the QT file to a folder on the Desktop, and copy the folder to the flash drive. Don't put the file directly on the flash drive as the format used prefers files in a folder and not the root directory. The same goes for photos. The flash drives limit the number of files in the root directory so it's best to put all photos and movies in a folder.

    Hello,
    I've been working with Direct Show for about a year. Occasionally when I connect and disconnect to the camera I find myself with a error being throw error code -2147024882. A message saying "Out of memory to complete the action" or something
    very similar to this. This error code/message gets returned when the application tries to run the mediacontrol.Run();.
    Does anybody know why I would be getting this error message?
    Does anybody have any samples of using a webcam and displaying the feed in a C# application using direct show?
    I've tried downloading the Windows SDK 4.0 from Microsoft but when it comes to installing this constantly fails, as I have tried many of times. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=8279 here is the link to the SDK where the direct
    show samples would of been able to download from.
    The current examples I am using to connect to the camera were sourced from sourceforge. http://sourceforge.net/projects/directshownet/?source=typ_redirect. The example I have looked at is the DxSnap.
    If anybody could give me some advice that would be great.
    Note: I've done none C++ coding before and a lot of  examples on msdn are all in C++.

    "Out of memory" supposedly means that your application cannot allocate memory necessary for decoding or otherwise processing. Typical problem is that your application is 32-bit and it is hitting address space limit for the application (2/3/4
    GB depending on environment).

  • Question on "show interface fcx/y transceiver details"

    I would like to understand what does the following parameter mean when the command "show interface fcx/y transceiver details" is executed.
    Note: The SFP type is a SFP+ (DS-SFP-FC8G-SW) 
    Transmission medium is multimode laser with 62.5 um aperture (M6)
    Supported speeds are - Min speed: 2000 Mb/s, Max speed: 8000 Mb/s
    Nominal bit rate is 8500 Mb/s
    Link length supported for 50/125mm fiber is 50 m
    Link length supported for 62.5/125mm fiber is 20 m 
    I understand the above output as follows
    SFP+ (DS-SFP-FC8G-SW) with a MMF connected to it with a core size of 62.5/125mm at a nominal bit rate is 8500 Mb/s can have a max cable distance of 21 m (69ft).
    The fiber term 62.5/125mm stands for diameter of the fiber cables core & to the diameter of the outside of the fiber cables cladding i.e. 62.5 stands for diameter of the fiber cables core & 125 stands for the diameter of the outside of the fiber cables cladding. 
    Will the transceiver detect automatically the type of fiber connected to it? Does the above mean that a SMF cannot be connected to this transceiver?

    Each optics is supposed to be connected to a specific type of fibre. This is what the command says (It does not detect automatically) and this is what we should do. Technically, you can connect a SM fibre to a SW optics and it *may* work as well. But there are drawbacks for it. MMF have wide diameter. The optics is transmitting light to match that diameter. If you connect a narrow diameter SMF, loss of light would happen.   • READ this: MSI TV @nywhere Plus + Dscaler

    My Pinnacle pctv pro has gone ( I suspect overheating). 
    Used Dscaler for tv (ecxelent picture, ultra fast channel switchig) and VDub for recording (Huffyuv lossless codec).
    It was super card. On differnt forums I read:this card is good, this card is peace of  ....., but I think that every card is good as long it has good software.
    Dscaler pulls maximum of the card out. For me is one of the best programs ewer written. :biggthumbsup:for the author !!
    So I decided to buy something cheap. I bought MSI TV @nywhere Plus about 4 monthes ago.
    Installation go smooth, MSI TVR works without problems, but TV picture was, like I ecxpected,  not even close Dscalers.
    After many ours, managed to work it with Dscaler 4.1.15.
    Settings:  Card   Asus 7131D
                  Tuner  Philips TDA8275
    For each channel choose right Format ( for me Pal-B) and frequency.
    Picture is on channels with good reception like watching DVD, but channel switch is a little bit slow ( the card is not directly supported).
    Note - Dscaler is just for watching, for recording is original Msi Tvr more than good.
    I had problem to use Dscaler and Msi tvr together ( Msi tvr reports error - list index out of bounds), but i solved it -
    send shortcut C:\Program Files\MSI\TV@Anywhere Plus\TVR\MSITVR.exe to desktop and run it from there.
    Remember - dont ecxpect miracles with MSI TV @nywhere Plus but for this money ( 3 x cheaper then was my pctv pro), must say that MSI TV @nywhere Plus  is ecxellent card.

    glad you're enjoying it! i don't use my TV@nywhere Plus much, apart from to use it to play my Nintendo GameCube, but i think its an all round better solution than the TV@nywhere Master it replaced (as well as being much cheaper too). however, once you go down the Digital TV route, you'll never go back to analogue TV again

Yesterday i had also that issue, i found out an corrected it, the appthat is takin the most is Asphalt 8 1.4G, i've tried to delete it but it continues to appear as NULL app taking the memory space, there are another 2G's that i cannot see, if i add all my apps and Asphalt 8 (NULL) i should have 3.4G of free memory, but in usage it shows 0MB

    i have a problem with tv@anywhere plus on windows 8. i can setup the pvr plus app completely but when i open that and click on "watch and record dtv program" icon, i will see an error that says: "invalid class string!"
    i think this problem should be for its driver because i'm using windows 8 64bit and the driver is for windows 7, i couldn't find an appropriate driver for windows 8 on MSI driver downloads, as matter of fact it didn't exist.
    so what should i do for my problem?

    I'm afraid TV@nywhere Plus is a bit outdated for Win8. There is no update so far since 2010. Could be MSI won't add Win8 support if it would be anyway possible.

  • Direct Show causing "A device attached to the system is not functioning"

    I've been using direct show for about a year to connect to four webcams. I have an intermittent problem where by one of the cameras (at random) will not display the live feed. This could not happen for several weeks possibly months and then suddenly the
    camera dies. 
    I run the following bit of code and receive error code -2147024865.
                 IMediaControl mediaCtrl = (FilterGraph)m_filterGraph as IMediaControl;
                   hr = mediaCtrl.Run();
               DsError.ThrowExceptionForHR(hr);
    In Hex this equates to 8007001F. From doing a bit of googling I found that this means a "A device attached to the system is not functioning".
    No other application uses these webcams and nothing has changed to them physically. Direct Show, seems to make this camera unusable at random times.
    Has anybody else experienced this problem and over came it?

    Thank you for your reply. I'm using a Logitech webcam and this camera is used by the Logitech controller software. This allows us to control the zoom, pan, focus and camera settings whilst connected to the camera in C# application. When this problem occurs,
    the webcam device still shows up in device manager and the settings of the webcam state that the device is working properly.
    I thought it may of been introduced by a possible memory leak that causes the camera to not respond, or that when the application closes it would leave the camera in a unusable state. 
    I've contacted Logitech to ask about drivers for the webcam and they state that it uses windows plug and play drivers. These are currently up to date.
    The reason I thought that it may of been introduced by direct show is because these cameras have been used before on other products but using different software, Steribar (a software tool to use the view of a webcam as a cheap barcode reader), and haven't
    experienced this problem with the cameras with this software. However very intermittently the custom C# app that I have created causes this problem.

    I have not checked the check box for automatic posting
    error mesage that I am getting
    No direct postings can be made to G/L acct. 165000 in CoCode BP01
    Message no. ME038
    Diagnosis
    The G/L account you entered is a control account. Transactions cannot be posted direct to a control account.
    Procedure
    Check your input.
    Inform the individual or section responsible for G/L accounts in the relevant company code.

    Goto Transaction code FS00, enter the G/L account 160000.
    enter the company code BP01.
    Click on display, if the system says account does not exist, click on create with refernce or template
    In the popu enter the G/L account 160000 & compnay code 0001.
    Please ensure this account is flagged as Balance sheet account, Recon. account for acct type - K Vendors.
    now do the postings.
