TV@nywhere Plus FM problem

I guys,
I have no problem using the TV tuner, image is ok, sound is ok, record is ok... but if I choose FM, I will get the interface but cant ear anything?
When you read the spec for the card, beside FM tuner you will see a (option)... How do I know if it is not an option on my card???
Thanks
Al

Ok, I do got static, my speaker sound was to low. I do ear static now, I uninstalled the driver and reboot my pc, then reinstall driver + reboot but same problem, just static.
I'm running Vista Ultimate Genuine (all updates done) over a MSI K7T266 Pro with 1.4G AMD Athlon, 1024MB, Sound Blaster Live 5.1, and of course TV@anywhere Plus card with latest Vista Driver and Vista Sofware.
Thanks

  • TV@nywhere Plus Cable problem

    Hello folks...
I have recently gotten a TV@nywhere Plus card and installed it in my machine.  It scans for channels and seems to find them, but the picture quality is terrible.  However,  If I choose antenna as the input it picks up the channels 2 to 12 and the picture is great! (I don't have an antenna connected, so the signal just is picked up out of the air) But, as soon as I choose the Cable input it sucks.  I live in Canada and my machine is an AMD 1800+ with a MSI KT3 Ultra motherboard, 1 GB of RAM, a MSI FX 5500 viodeo card, Running XP Home with service pack 2 and all updates applied
    Hope someone can help,
    Nets

Lets start from the bottom and work up. Have you eliminated the cable & splitter hookup as the source of the problem by connecting to a TV? I had a problem similar to that when I first installed my TV@Plus and I had to remove/re-install the software and get a new cable & splitter before I could get it work.. No you don't need to use RG6. It does not hurt to have better but it's not a requirement.

  • Problem with tv@nywhere plus on windows 8

    hi
i have a problem with tv@anywhere plus on windows 8. i can setup the pvr plus app completely but when i open that and click on "watch and record dtv program" icon, i will see an error that says: "invalid class string!"
i think this problem should be for its driver because i'm using windows 8 64bit and the driver is for windows 7, i couldn't find an appropriate driver for windows 8 on MSI driver downloads, as matter of fact it didn't exist.
so what should i do for my problem?

I'm afraid TV@nywhere Plus is a bit outdated for Win8. There is no update so far since 2010. Could be MSI won't add Win8 support if it would be anyway possible.

  • READ this: MSI TV @nywhere Plus + Dscaler

My Pinnacle pctv pro has gone ( I suspect overheating).
Used Dscaler for tv (ecxelent picture, ultra fast channel switchig) and VDub for recording (Huffyuv lossless codec).
It was super card. On differnt forums I read:this card is good, this card is peace of  ....., but I think that every card is good as long it has good software.
Dscaler pulls maximum of the card out. For me is one of the best programs ewer written. :biggthumbsup:for the author !!
So I decided to buy something cheap. I bought MSI TV @nywhere Plus about 4 monthes ago.
Installation go smooth, MSI TVR works without problems, but TV picture was, like I ecxpected,  not even close Dscalers.
After many ours, managed to work it with Dscaler 4.1.15.
    Settings:  Card   Asus 7131D
                  Tuner  Philips TDA8275
For each channel choose right Format ( for me Pal-B) and frequency.
Picture is on channels with good reception like watching DVD, but channel switch is a little bit slow ( the card is not directly supported).
Note - Dscaler is just for watching, for recording is original Msi Tvr more than good.
I had problem to use Dscaler and Msi tvr together ( Msi tvr reports error - list index out of bounds), but i solved it -
send shortcut C:\Program Files\MSI\TV@Anywhere Plus\TVR\MSITVR.exe to desktop and run it from there.
Remember - dont ecxpect miracles with MSI TV @nywhere Plus but for this money ( 3 x cheaper then was my pctv pro), must say that MSI TV @nywhere Plus  is ecxellent card.
Hope, that I helped anyone with this.

glad you're enjoying it! i don't use my TV@nywhere Plus much, apart from to use it to play my Nintendo GameCube, but i think its an all round better solution than the TV@nywhere Master it replaced (as well as being much cheaper too). however, once you go down the Digital TV route, you'll never go back to analogue TV again

  • TV@nywhere Plus remote issue resolved!!!

I have been searching and reading many posts to fix my remote issue / not working problem. I have had a MSI TV@nywhere Plus TV tuner for like a year and the remote never worked. I don't know the exact model number of the tuner card. I know my driver for the TVR is 2.0.2.2. I have the software that has the PVR Plus. I had seen several posts that link the issue to running the Initervideo Cinema Manager which I ran and I still did have any luck. So I uninstalled Intervideo WinDVD (which I did and this did not resolve the issue either) I left this program uninstalled an I searched the CD for some info.
The CD I have has a version number on the bottom around the hole MSI_7131_V1.1.
I found a program called P3XRCtl.exe that has a icon of a remote in the path E:\PCI\TVUtility (this is on the CD). I copied this program to my desktop and then clicked on the icon. Guess what, it worked!!! All of the functions on the remote work. It seems as if when I installed the software that this remote software/utility did not get installed and does not run when the TVR program starts. So I then created a folder in my program files to place this exe file. The path I placed it is C:\Program Files\MSI\TV@Anywhere Utilities (I created the TV@Anywhere Utilities folder) The MSI folder now has 2 folders called TV@Anywhere Plus & TV@Anywhere Utilities. I still had a problem of the program not starting when I start the TVR program so I added the exe file to the Startup folder. To do this create a shortcut to the exe file and place this new shortcut in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
This program will now start everytime the computer starts and the remote should work when the TVR program is started. I am running Win XP Pro...

This is wonderful I just solve my problem with the Remote Control, I Follow the suggestions from this people and my problem is fixed... now I can use it. Thank You very much

  • TV@nywhere Plus - "Cannot init Direct show interface... (1001)" - Windows XP SP2

I just purchased a TV@nywhere Plus card, hoping to read video from a video camera.
Whenever I start the MSI video program - the program at the top of the MSI main panel interface (see the bottom of this page for a screenshot) - I get the following two errors one after another:
    Cannot render audo renderer (5001)...
Cannot init Direct show interface... (1001)
Unfortunately, this means I can't read video from the card, so I'm stuck!  Fixing the video error is critical, fixing the sound error isn't important (the video I'm importing is from security cameras, which don't have sound).
I've tried updating the directx drivers, but they seem to be the most recent?
I've tried updating the MSI drivers from the MSI site, but they seem to be the most recent?
Someone mentioned messing with codecs somewhere/somehow, but I don't understand how to do that.
I really need help.  My only option at this point is to return the card and find another..
    Thoughts?
    Technical Details:
    TV@nywhere Plus
    NVIDIA GoForce 8400 GS, 512MB (using nv4_disp.dll v6.14.00.11.7516)
    IBM ThinkCentre
    Windows XP Professional SP2 (5.1, Build 2600)
    Intel Pentium 4, 3.2GHz
    1.5 GB RAM
    DirectX 9.0c (4.09.000.0904)

I don't get errors using the program you suggested (or webcamxp, the program I was using), however, the video signal is black... no video going through to these apps.
Which is why I was testing with the MSI app, thinking if I could get it working there, it would work within my other apps.
I will try to refresh the video/audio drivers.

Try AMCap, and see if you get the same errors there.

Also, try updating your video card drivers, and audio drivers.

  • MSI TV@nywhere plus Remote with Windows 7 64 bit

I have the TV@nywhere plus and Windows 7 64 bit.  Everything works except the remote.  I downloaded the latest drivers from the MSI site and I have the remote icon in the bottom right of the screen.  However it does not work.  If I click on it (the icon) and under settings it shows MediaCenter; I can not get it to recognize the MSI TV software.  And the remote doesn't work in Media Center either.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Did you download the >> TV@nywhere series Remote Utility << or just the other drivers? If it doesn't work with the Vista utility then it's not going to work in W7 64 bit.

  • TVR Application Interface for TV@nywhere Plus

  • I need drivers for TV @nywhere Plus Remote Controller!

Hi, I'm really getting depressed because I'm searching for drivers for months. I have TV @nywhere Plus but I lost my CD long time ago and I didn't care because everything still worked fine but last year I reinstalled my XP and everything changed from that day. I found drivers online for the TV card but not for my remote controller (actually I found something like that in the official site but it's not working and it's not the same like from the CD). And I continued searching and searching and lost hopes, and my remote controller stopped working, I bought new today and I hoped to fix it but still I can't make it work because I don't have drivers. :(
So guys, can you just send me the same drivers from this CD because I know they are there and they could help me. I really hope you have that CD. I found info in this topic - TV@nywhere Plus remote issue solved! - and I need exactly this program - P3XRCtl.exe version 2.0 something like that. It's a blue icon. I can't download anywhere this thing online :(
You are my last hope to help me, I don't want to dissapoint my parents again. Thank you again
P.S I bought the same things years ago

Yes but the version is 3.0 and not 2.0 and when I install it and start it I see the icon working but my controller is not working. And on the app when I open the settings it says something like - hold the power button on remote controller and choose the app you want to start and there is a blank list (probably there should be TV anywhere programme and when u choose it to start working. And that's it. It's just useless and I don't know why, I am holding the button trying to make something installing uninstalling and it's the same thing.

I have the MSI TV@nywhere plus card v 1.0. The tv and radio work... but my left speaker does not work. I hear the radio but it is distorted. I have boston speakers ba635. Any help would be appreciated.. Thank you

check the audio lead from the TV@nywhere Plus is fully connected into the Line-In socket on your soundcard (or motherboard, if you have onboard sound)

  • MSI TV @nywhere plus and Satellite?

Hello, new to this card, just bought it new in box, just wondering if it will work with dish and bev sats?
I don't see many options, though there is a freq scan for manual entry though what those would be who knows?
    Thanks,
    Diabolical :D

you need to connect your satellite receiver set-top box to the TV@nywhere Plus card using either the composite or S-Video inputs. then you'll use the set-top box to change channels, as the TV@nywhere Plus card can't do that

  • TV@nywhere Dual Monitor Problem

I have the regular TV@nywhere card.. Has anyone else had this problem?
I have a dual monitor setup (extended desktop) on an ATI 9000 pro.. At some point over the last few months I began having problems dragging the WinDVR (player) window from one monitor to the other, resulting in the WinDVR process hanging, or an insta-crash of my system. It used to work fine...
I am assuming it might have something to do with one of 30 or so ATI patches that I installed since the last driver update from MSI. On a positive note, with the newest ati patch, the computer doesn't crash anymore, but the app still hangs (except for the audio which will NOT stop, lol)

Patience Yuz this forum has no input from MSI so you have to wait until someone, somewhere else in the world is awake.
Regards to MSIPVS yes it is awful and there has been quite some discussion within this section of the forum and the survey section as to the problems with this software. It is not only MSIPVS that is at fault the drivers also need some work. On some PC`s MSIPVS causes crashes but by far the biggest complaint is the poor display. Also MSIPVS or the card/drivers not sure which, will not remember it`s locale, every time it is started it will go back to the default in my case it seams to be PAL_B and some times to NTSC my locale is the UK and the TV setting should be PAL_I but getting to stay on PAL_I is a big problem. It makes it hard to schedule a recording as it will probably start in the wrong format. I agrre with you that feeware software is better than MSIPVS.
Thanks to your previous post I can confirm that you have sorted the remote`s missing functions.
Now all we need to get the drivers and MSIPVS sorted.

  • TV@nywhere Master Recording Problems

The TV@nywhere Master works fine for viewing, but I can't record without problems.  There is a sound problem with all available versions of WinDVR.  The recorded sound regularly "warbles" or pulsates. It is detectable when a musical tone is playing, otherwise it may be hard to hear. It is very annoying once you pick up on it.  Other interVideo programs WinProducer and WinDVD Recorder exhibit the same problem.
I tried PowerVCR and I get an error message when attempting to record in MPEG2:
S0009 : Unable to render preview video stream.
I have all the latest drivers and software versions. I even tried a clean install of Windows several times and a different sound card, but no luck. I'm getting nowhere with tech support. Very frustrating.
    ASUS A7N8X Deluxe MB
Onboard nForce2 sound (also tried Soundblaster Audigy)
    AMD 2800+ Barton CPU
    512MB DDR RAM
    GeForce 5600 Video Card
    250 Gig Hard drive
    Windows XP

Using PowerVCR II 3.0, and there is no Use Smart Tee option available.
    Here's all the options:
    Video -> Overlay Options -> Overlay/Non-Overlay  (Non-overlay causes a crash)
    Profiles
Check boxes for MMX, SSE, 3DNow and Enhanced 3DNow.  All are checked.
Recording / Advanced -> Advanced Options
Video Smoothing (during recording) - unchecked
Intelligent Noise Removal (during recording)  checked
Enable Time-Shifting when recording  - unchecked
Have tried changing most of these settings but always get error message, unless I use MPEG1 which is not acceptable quality.
I did a search in Help for "Smart" and for "Tee" and there are no matches.

  • TV @nywhere Line-In Problem

I have a tv tuner card that I have been using for the past few months to play ps2 on my pc. I just had a RAID-0 Card installed on my pc, and now when I try to use the MSI PVS software to play games, I get video from my ps2, but the sound comes from the coax cable and not from my ps2.
When I hook it all up, I have the ps2 S-Video connected to the TV card, and I have the composite sound plugged into an RCA to Stereo converter and then connected to the line-in on the TV card. I have tested my ps2 on a tv, and it works properly, and I have tried connecting other devices to the TV card's line-in and I have gotten no sound.  ;(
I was wondering if anyone has had a problem like this or knows how to fix it. I think it might be an IRQ conflict, but windows xp doesn't detect it, and its a pain in the @$$.
    Thanks.

Well, what you said is a workaround, but it doesn't solve the problem that MSI TV@nywhere does not work as described/designed.
For example, if the TV@nywhere has a SVHS/RCA-in, and it don't work. The workaround is to use a TV for that, but that totally defeat the point of having a TV-card. (of course I'm exaggerating, but I hope MSI can provide some *real* solution to the mistakes they made.
