Do you want to 'avoid FTS' on those tables?
You provide little information here. (Perhaps you just migrated from 9i and having problems with certain queries now?)
FTS is sometimes the fastest way to retrieve data, and sometimes an index scan is.

There's no 'FTS view' available, if you want to know what happens on your DB you need, like Anand already said, to trace sessions that 'worry you'.

You will need to installed the Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) 7.4.1 driver in order to see the NI-DAQ counter palettes in LabVIEW 8.0. After you install the driver the palettes will be visible as shown here:

In the sourcing module, suppliers page is having an advanced table in which there is a field 'supplier' and another filed 'supplier sites' (supplier field is of type picklist).Now, how can i get the count of 'supplier sites' for each supplier???

Minimize the count of cubes when there are more number of cubes

Hi All:
Need your inputs on reducing the count of cubes when there are more number of cubes in any project.
On which basis we can downsize the count of cubes? For example,if there 30 cubes in same region,I want to reduce them to ,say 20 cubes.
Please share your thoughts.

You need to evaluate all of your existing cubes and see if there is any overlap in dimensionality that would allow you to combine cubes. Such as if one is actuals and another cube is budget for the same data, possibly you can combine those. Or as someone else suggested based on Business Units (If the other dimensions allow it. Perhaps conflicting Account or other structures won't allow it. )
However you have to then balance combining cubes against larger cube size which could impact calc time and other performance issues.
Its all a balancing act.
Look at where it makes sense to combine them. Only you know your environment enough to state if they can be combined or not.

for loop. Go ahead and use it. Are you under the assumption that the old form should be avoided?
There is no saving in term of efficiency and readability.If there is any added efficiency in the "for each" form of the loop, it is on the micro level, and you would never notice it.
As far as readability, look at some of the crazy solutions you've been given to avoid the general for loop, then reconsider which is more readable.

Hello , I think the below event alert 4113 is very common and is due to that only one database copy is present in DAG but is there any way we can stop this alert for the
specific database.
The message tells that there is only one copy of the database - create another copy and the warning message will go away but
we do not want to create another copy. So is there any way we can stop this event getting generated.

That regex looks odd to me. I assume you have databases with names like "Mailbox Database <ten digit number>" (standard Exchange default name, in other words), "ABC-DB" and "HOME-DB". If this is the case, wouldn't

Can DAQmxRegisterEveryNSamplesEvent function be used for the Counter Input Channels

I have an application to count the digitial pulse number. I want to know the time of the coming pulses which start from 1 and increased 4 later, like 1, 5, 9, 13..... The time interval between each pulse is not a fixed value. So I tried to use DAQmxRegisterEveryNSamplesEvent and DAQmxCreateCICountEdgesChan functions. But afterI called the DAQmxStartTask function, it always failed. The board I used is the NI-PCIe-6320. Here is part of my code.

What's I what to do is that I have an external digital signal, when the signal goes from low to high, I need do some operations. So I just want to know the time when the digital signal goes from low to high. The frequency of the digital signal is from 0 - 20000Hz. My first plan is to use a counter to count the pulse rising edges. When the number of edge increases one, I do the designed operations. In this method, I can't guarantee I can catch each pulse rising point. Because sometimes the counter will increase more than one in the on-demand mode. For example, the previous content of the counter is xxxx4, but the next reading the content may become xxxx6.
After I learned some ANSI C codes, I found that the ChangeDetectionEvent can help me found time when the signal goes from low to high. So I wrote the following code: (I set the digital signal to P0.0)

Yesterday I used this method to get the pulse rising time. I found the m_event_num is close to the ground truth (In the simulation, I know how may rising pulse I generated). In one two hours test, the offset is almost 400 pulses. But today I did the same tests again. I found the m_event_num got a big difference from the ground truth. The voltage of the whole system today maybe smaller than yesterday, because today the power is from an invertor while yesterday the power is from the electricity supply. So will the lower voltage supply will causing some event missing. Or if PC system became busy will ignore some callings of the event callback function? That's two possible reason will affact the final result. I am not sure. Do you have any experience about this problem. Or do you have some better suggestion to get the pulse rising time. btw one of the nice things about java is if you can't find the answer
in the API or you are not sure what the API is saying you can always
look at the source for the class your are looking at. the source files
are in a file called src.zip or src.jar depending on the version.

there is a very enticing sidebar that says "Consider Upgrading to Acrobat 9 Pro Extended"
It outlines all the cool things that Extended can do. I had seen some publicity for Extended and so I immediately clicked that button to find out more about this version. It is a very compelling product that has a presentation application, 3D capabilities, and the form creation product Live Cycle Designer.
I was very excited about this product, when I was lucky to have checked the System Requirements for this product. And was amazed to find that this product is Windows only!
It is one thing to shove the Mac market off to the side as Acrobat has in the past. For instance, in the past, Acrobat products have provided features for Windows that were missing on the Mac.
But the current advertising borders on misleading advertising. Rather than just hide the Windows -only features under the same name as the Macintosh product, Adobe has come out with a Windows-only product that doesn't clearly state it is Windows only!
To publicize a product on a page that is cross platform and then make it very hard to find out that the product is Windows only is terrible. And I guarantee that this will lead to many people ordering something they can not use. And will be very angry about!
I have written to several people I know at Adobe to complain about this.
I would suggest that others use the Adobe-feedback page:

to tell Adobe how this makes you feel.
Meanwhile, I'm glad that I won't have to shell out the extra money for this Windows-only product.
