TV Out Again :(
I understand that I need to use an authorized cable to enable the tv out feature but I wondered does that also mean I need to use an "authorized" device to play the video? I would like to hook my ipod classic 80gb to a portable dvd player. Namely: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158FX930L/Sony-DVP-FX930-Blue.html?tp=173
Assuming that there is no requirement for the device to be authorized this would seem to work fine but it would also require me to go from 3.5mm to component cables and then back to 3.5mm since this player only has a 3.5mm input and no component inputs. If anyone has any experience with using a third party componenet to 3.5mm for video out I'd really love to hear about it.
You do not need an authorised device to play it through. True, only Apples AV cable can allow you to view video's through it. The easiest way around this and only costed a couple £,$ or Euro's so you can use the Sony DVD player is what's called a Triple Audio/Video RCA Coupler. This acts as a bridge/connection between the two different cables. Google " Triple Audio/Video RCA Coupler".

I am new to using a mac I have an older version. But I have used firefox on my pc before. I downloaded it and went to open messenger. Not the full downloaded messenger but the one you can access when in your mail on yahoo. It opened fine but now it won't close, even though I hit sign out again and again. I have tried force quite, uninstalling and reinstalling and still every time I sign into yahoo on firefox there is my messenger list open. For privacy issues I really need to be able to open and close it.

Can anyone advise...
Cannot download Mountain Lion after purchasing from Apple online. Mountain Lion icon is now permanently 'paused' in the dock. The Purchase page has the download but no resume button. I have enter the code again but it cannot be redeemed again. I have signed in and out again from the tab at the top of the page.
I have spoken to Apple for two evenings now. Last attempt was to bypass the Mountain Lion and download Mavericks overnight but nothing downloaded.
I have checked the internet connection and all is well.
Any ideas how to progress... I have an appointment to take in to Apple on Monday...Have you tried to resume the download using Launch Pad? The icon should be in your Dock.
If that doesn't help ...
Apps such as Little Snitch, Growl, and MacKeeper can prevent apps from downloading
Disable anti virus software if installed
Make sure the firewall is turned off in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall
Make sure Gatekeeper is enabled
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Make sure either Mac App Store or Mac App Store and identified developers is selected.
If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed.

When I attempt to sign out of Hot Mail by clicking "Sign Out," I get the "Sign In" instruction as I always have, however, the green Firefox navigation button remains on bright green (not going to gray) and my MSN home page will not close automatically as usual. I click on the green arrow and I get an instruction to "Sign Out" again. I click on that and get the "Sign In" again but the arrow stays green. I can repeat this countless times and never get signed out and always remaining on the MSN home page. The only way I can close is to go to File and click on Close Window and then my homepage will close and go back to desktop. We have the directory C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0 and all the versions match what is located in the project's bin directory. Does this confirm that I did have XI installed and licensed at one time?
If I purchase a more recent version, couldn't I update the reports to use the newer version? I have all the source code.

Also, just a shot in the dark, but I'm assuming it wouldn't do me any good to simply restore the aforementioned folder to my C drive? Would that work if I registered all the dll's?

To be clear, I do have VS 2003 & 2005, and I have the source code. I just have never used Crystal Reports in any of my .NET apps because the need wasn't there, so recompiling is not out of the question.

Also, I looked at the CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll that was in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\Managed folder and when I right-click and view the properties, then the Version tab, in addition to the 11.0.9500.2 version number, there is a property called Product Version that has the value .NET. Does that mean that this dll was bundled with Visual Studio?
I also found this directory on the old server...does this tell you anything?

I did see that you can still buy XI from CDW. I have a call into them currently to check with Business Objects for any registrations from my company.

My Imac The DVD drive have stopped working, the DVD goes in, the computer read it and it comes out again ..

Screen has zoomed in and wont go out again
my ipod touch has suddenly decided to zoom in really far and wont go back out again therefore cant really use any of the apps and is generally more difficult to use.
please helpIt sounds like the Accessibility feature Zoom has been turn on. To reduce the zoom double click the screen with three fingers. To turn off zoom go to Settings > General > Accessibility and turn Zoom off.

Pricing carries out again while posting the invoice
The pricing carries out again at the time of posting the invoice and sometimes changes the values of original invoice. Is there a way we can restrict pricing to only creation of billing document and it should not be carried while posting the same

Check your copy control settings from delivery to Billing Item.The Pricing type assigned over here.
You can change the pricing type using the user exit if you do not want to control by config.If the pricing type has to behave based on your conditions then you can use the user exit to acheive the same.
Also as suggested in one of the thread could impose posting block through Billing type and check and release to accounting.

After I did a change in the drumsection on a song the program just "went down". It's impossible to go back tinto the program. It just tryn to open the song, nothing happend and then out again... What can I do?

My sound bar is grayed out again
I have an early MBP 2009. Last week I lost control of my internal speakers and I can't adjust the volume from zero and the bar is grayed out. Last week I fixed it by running the last software update for 10.7. Now my sound bar is grayed out again. I am not sure what to do to fix this. I don't want to keep running the updater since it ttakes so long and I loose productivity.

I am trying to stream video from iTunes store for the last 2 days and all I get is the message "iTunes store is unavailable. Try again later." I have tried turning it off, unplugging all cords, restarting it, reseting it, restoring it, and signing in and out again. Netflix works, but iTunes seems to be bugging out. If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

ideapodLuckily - I had a second user set up on this machine. Logged in on that, and there was no problem, so I reasoned it must have been something in the dock startup or login startup. Don't know the mac names for that, so went searching. Anyway - I found a thing on this forum that mentions ~/Library/Preferences/loginwindow.plist
Something in that must have killed my system because I renamed that to loginwindow.plist.old using terminal and su - and now I am back running again.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

i had greyed out wifi on my iphone 4s, looked on the net how to fix it and it said to use a hairdryer which worked it greyed out again 5 mins after, so i did it again this happened 3 times then the 4th time the screen went white any ideas whats happned an how to fix it?
No, sounds like when you dropped it an cracked the screen it may have also damaged the logic board or the repair person damaged a cable.

So, I dropped my iphone into a river and picked it up very quickly, turned it out and put it in rice, after some hours I saw it was on with a blueish screen so I turned it off again and put it back in the rice, then after 6 hours in total from when it fell in the water I charge it and see the start up apple logo but then small text appears in the upper corner and it goes out again, this happened now twice, what is this and what to do?
Try the method of putting it in a bowl of rice. If the issue remains then you would need a replacement.
If you have AppleCare+ then you could get it replaced with one of your 2 incidents.
If you do not have ApplCare+ you would get a replacement as an Out of Warranty Service due to accidental damage. Now based on your country/region you could either get a replacement through postage or at an Apple Retail Store. Follow the link below for a pricing:

My iPod songs are gone. How can I have have them back without having to upload songs again?
This is the second time it happened. My iPod still had 60.9 MB space in it before my songs disappeared.
When I plugged my iPod into the PC today, it was charging. Then a few minutes later, the iPod (still plugged into the PC) started beeping. At first I don't know where the beep was coming from. When I finally realized it came from my iPod, it was too late to check what message it says on the screen. And when I open the iTunes, it prompts me to fill up the iPod Set-Up Assistant (which means that I have to start all over again transferring songs to my iPod? No way.). I can't find the songs in my iPod anymore. All of them have been wiped out now.
The weird thing is, even with all the songs wiped out, iTunes still says that I only have 60.9 MB of memory in my iPod. It seems that the songs are still there but won't just show up. Because they still occupy the memory of my iPod. My Notes are still in the device, I can also access the files stored in the External Memory.
The first time it happened, I did a Restore and had to download the songs from the Internet again. Now that I don't have the music files in my PC anymore, I don't want to do a Restore because I don't want to download songs again.
Please help me fix this.1.If you are using some kind of file sharing program to put songs on your ipod,this might be the problem.I had a similar situation.If you delete some songs from your file-sharing program itunes wont be able to find the songs and wont play song(just on itunes),ir that the host of the song might've deleted the song himself from other to share.
2.Make sure your itunes is up-to date,or you ipod is having hardware issues(this might be the cause if you dont use a file-sharing program).You need to put you ipod on disk mode.For more info. go on support.
3.This step can maybe work,but i know it wont.just blow the usb cord just to make sure it is not dusty.
4.This might also be why your songs get wiped out.You probably need a new usb cord,but first try every way you can to fix this issue before buying a new usb cord.also depends how old your usb cord is.
