TV OUT? i need this feature. help
I reviewed the phone on youtube, showed it could do tv out, bought the phone, no tv out? this was one of the main features i wanted. how can i get this done? Thanks - Ryan

We just need it.Better Touch Tool does the snapping as well and with gestures too! so you can probably get rid of that other one.
I agree, it's something that seems to not make sense. on the other hand I didn't realize you could do it until the second year of using my mac. of course after finding out about it I would use it to shrink or enlarge the icons on my desktop when I wasn't using them so it wasn't cluttered.
I think one of the fun things about having the mac are the little easter egg abilities that aren't necessarily written out for you to know but you have the expereince of figuring them out on your own through using it or finding it out as a secret tip to quicken your workflow. Getting rid of this is similar to having a dream that you won a billion dollars and then waking up knowing you don't. -
The latest version of iTunes does not allow me to open a playlist in a separate window. I need this feature. Is there another way? You used to be able to double click a playlist and have it appear in a new window.
Others have commented on this too. It seems to be one of the 'improvements' of the newer version you are supposed to embrace with joy as an exciting new development. You can send feedback to Apple but realize you may be perceived as standing in the path of progress.

hey guys, I recently got an Ipad 4 but it seems that there's no facetime on it. I really need this feature to be working. any suggestions?
Iif you bought it from the UAE or other middle eastern country, facetime is blocked at the hardware level and can never be installed.

I have had Photoshop for several days now and for the few days I have tried I just can not install anything what-so-ever. I have taken all of the suggested steps and it didn't do anything to help, it still had some sort of error. I have contacted Adobe, but haven't heard anything.
I really need this Photoshop for a project that needs to be completed before February. I do not have time or money to buy or exchange for new one.

Try to download the Windows version and then see if it works this time. Windows and Apple MACS are two different types of operating systems. Windows is widely used in the market place because of Microsoft's Marketing expertise while Apple MACs is used in the printing industry.

ICal on iPhone - Need this feature

I have just recently gotten a iPhone from my employer which is replacing a Blackberry.
As I am getting used to the iPhone there is one feature on the Blackberry that appears not available on the iPhone and its an important feature for our business.
I dropped into our local Apple store (Salem, NH) to ask about this. They suggested coming to this site.
For the Blackberry when a meeting invite is sent our company has standardized on the following method to provide a call in number and conference code:
18002216588 x787134#
The '18002216588' is the call in number and the 'x787134#' is the conference code that must be dialed to connect to the conference once the call connects.
Our Blackberry picks this up whether its in the subject line of an e-mail or calendar invite or in the text of an e-mail or calendar entry. It dials the '18002216588' and then prompts for when to dial the 'x787134#'. Once the call connects and the greeting msg starts we can then respond to the Blackberry prompt and the Blackberry dials 787134# and we joing the conference.
With the iPhone we are not able to do this and we greatly miss this convenience, The few of us who are first to get iPhone are grumbling we now have to remember or write down the long conference dialing sequence.
Can this feature be made available in iPhone both for e-mails and iCal enteries?
This is a feature many companies have come to rely on with Blackberry and would be great feature for iPhone to add.
RajivI, too, share this issue. Were you able to get a response? I don't see anything in the thread even though your post is dated JULY. I cannot believe there is not more of an uproar in the Apple community about this and am assuming that there is some "solve" out there that I am simply not aware of. Could someone please enlighten us!

This is the ONLY major frutration I have with the iPad. Anything else is trivial in comparison. AARRGGHH.
This is a user forum, not Apple.
That said, I think it's more likely that Apple purchase Adobe and kill off Flash than adopt Flash. Unfortunately, Flash doesn't translate well to touch or mobile environments very well, and it's implementation would require subverting part of the iOS security model.
There is Flash on Android, and user response has not been too good so far, and Android makes special concessions to permit Flash to run that circumvent the Android security model too. It remains a weak spot in Android security.
Flash doesn't have a use-case anymore. It's used primarily because people are used to using it -- it's a legacy. Audio and video delivery no longer require it as there's standards for that. It's no longer required to animate elements (and is now the more awkward mechanism), or communicate with services in the background, etc. Flash only exists today because people have used it in the past. -

One option is to reset all the dialog boxes in iTunes in iTunes preferences. To do this, head to the Edit drop down menu in iTunes and choose Preferences. When the window pops up, head over to the Advanced tab. You will see an option that says "reset all dialog warnings:" with a button that says "Reset" next to it. Go ahead and click this button and restart iTunes. You should be good to go from there.

I can't download google tool bar on firefox
Extensions for Firefox, such as the Google Toolbar, include a list of compatible Firefox versions. Currently, the Google Toolbar only goes up to Firefox 4. However, people have tested and it actually works on Firefox 5, so there are two workarounds:
(1) Edit a file to revise the range of compatible versions
(2) Install an add-on that lets you ignore the range of compatible versions

XG1-A DVR has HDMI inputs how do I enable or control them I need this feature.
I currently have a separate Home theater system that has no HDMI connections so I run either a Toslink ( optical) or RCA type digital connection which requires me to disconnect the HDMI and the Digital Audio connections and reconnect if I want to switch from teh DVR to the Blu ray player and again if wanting to use my Sony Network Streaming Media player, which si quite annoying.Having the 2 HDMI inputs solves this issue as HDMI carries both Video and up to 7.1 channels of digital audio I can connect the streaming player and the Blu ray to the XG1-A box and then us the HDMI and Digital Optical out of that to connect to the HD TV and the audio system.But I have seen nothing about it, Actually I have yet to find a manual at all that talks about the XG1-A Any Room Main DVR period.This model is yet to be listed on the Xfinity site as far as I can tell.I do know it is a Arris/Motorola and bot one of the Pace units though.

hold down command and shift together,keep holding 'em down, then press 3 or 4. check to see if your function keys are active. also, turn up your sound, you hear a 'click' or 'kachunk' like someone took a picture when it's successful, otherwise, try something called "Grab".....
