Tv out pixelated

Hi,
When I connect my iPad to the tv using the hdmi cable the tv display is blurry and unusable. When I play videos however it looks fine. Would anyone know why this is? I have tried other devices and they all look fine. I have also tried on another tv and th same issue still appears.

Nokia 603 has no TV out function and I never check playback with .MKV files but you might want to try .MP4 files.

There's these grayed out pixels on my 2nd gen iPod touch. I did not apply pressure, I woke up one night and it was like that. I don't know how to fix it. Can someone please tell me what the cause was, and how I would fix it?

i work in psd, i want to send mail to pdf,  with out pixel, how do i do ?

Well it is difficult to understand your question so little information, and with an apparent language problem, but you can can Save As to the pdf format.  If you have any text layers, do _not_ flatten before exporting.  Use a High Quality Print preset in the PDF dialog box, unless file size is critical.
If I have misunderstood your question, please give a lot more information, including what version of Photoshop.  You can use your own language if that is easier, and we'll use the forum Translate feature, but the more information you put in your post, the better chance of it being understood.

• Images on Firefox come out pixelated

Hi,
For some reason, Firefox on my MacBook Air displays pixelated images. When I access the same site on Google Chrome, the images come out with good resolution. I tried looking for the settings to correct this but cannot seem to find it. I do enjoy surfing using Firefox and do not want to switch browsers, but the experience isn't good for me right now. Hope you can help. Thanks!

Hi gabgonz, try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings, disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
*In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".<br>

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

• Scanned images come out pixelated when printed

When I scan images with my Brother MFC-9120CN, they display in great quality when viewed with Photoshop Elements and other software. However when I print these images that look smooth and sharp on the the screen they come out heavily pixelated. Now these are 1200 dpi scans. The weird thing is that downloaded images, which were scanned at 72 dpi by other people, print without pixelation. I'm at a loss to explain this. Is there anyone out there who's had the same problem? And more importantly, is there a solution? Could it be bug with Snow Leopards core graphics? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dpi means nothing unless you can also tell us the dimensions you are printing at. You have a fixed number of pixels in an image and their density is dependent on the dimensions you are printing at.
After all it means dots per inch. So, for instance, you cannot print a 3 inch x 2 inch that has density of 72 dpi image at 10 x 8. Why? At 10 x 8 it will no longer be 72 dpi because the same number of pixels is spread over a larger area.
As a rule of thumb - and heavily dependent on the quality of the actual pics - you might get acceptable prints at 200 dpi. But most folks recommend 300.

• Importing Video with audio- Converting MPEG comes out pixelated

I've got two problems.
I know I need to convert my MPEG movie to another format, and I cannot remember which, in order for FCE to capture the audio that comes with it. Right?
Do you know which format and specifications I need?
Also-
I've been using an MPEG Streamclip program to convert, but whatever I try (I havent gotten to importing it to FCE, so I dont even know if the audio will come in there or not) the video comes out extremely pixelated. I know it can be remedied, because the original is in much better quality. Ive tried MPG4 an Quicktime movies, but nothing is working. Is it the frame rate? Anything else? I am drawing a blank.
ANY help is GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!

From Streamclip export to QuickTime. Set the codec to DV NTSC and the frame rate to 29.97.

• Picture Drop-Out/Pixelation

I've been using my AppleTV on my old CRT TV using a signal convertor but now I've got a new flatsceen TV. I've not watched any movies the but when watching trailers I get a lot of pixelation-drop-out? could this be due to streaming over the net, any ideas?

i'm not sure you would get what you describe when having streaming issues. usually what would happen is that the playback would simply stop until enough had been cached again.
what trailers have you been watching ? SD or HD ?
the easiest way to test if it is the device or not is to sync something to the appletv and see if the same happens.

• Feature request: Utilize outer pixel on left and right of screen to allow gestures

I miss gestures especially moving laterally between apps. If I swipe from the left bezel onto the screen it would be nice to move to the next app to the left and same for the right.
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)

Hi Guish,
I like that idea too. I know that the bezel isn't functional, but maybe they could do something with software. For example, maybe implement a 0 pixel recognition system from the side (the same way they do the swipe up for minimizing cards on TouchPad).
Please feel free to post this same feedback at http://www.hpwebos.com/feedback as well just to get some more recognition on it!

Check the drop down window at top right end of viewer and make sure optimized/original is checked. Seems like you may be exporting proxie.

• Downloaded the OSX 10.9.1 software & my screen is washed out/pixelated. Any help?

I'm not sure what happened to my display. I 've tried to re-configure it and it's still washed out. I've restarted my mac and also ran a harddrive check. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Been there, done that. Here are some steps that I took to solve this.
Unplug your monitor, wait a bit, plug it back in.
With the monitor onscreen controls, reset it to factory defaults
In System Preferences > Displays > Color tab > Calibrate your monitor
Boot your Mac in Safe Boot mode. Contrary to some posts, it does work in Mavericks.
Depending on your monitor manufacturer, this may or may not resolve the excessive washed out appearance. Right now, my Dell 2405FPW looks good via a displayPort to DVI cable.

• Selecting pixels on the outer edge of an item?

When making a selection with either a lasso or Magic Wand, it seems to select the item, however, when I zoom in, there seems to be lots of soft pixels on the edges of the items that are not being included in my selection.
What is the best way to get these outer pixels that have different colors and levels of transparency?
Thanks!

Those pixels may be only partly selected. A selection is just a mask, which is used to limit your edits to only he masked (or selected) area. If you, for example, fill a selection with white, you are just replacing the masked pixels with white. Some pixels can be partly selected, which would result in the white fill not being completely opaque. A 50% selected pixel would end up with a 50% white fill, effectively making it 50% less bright. For example, a red pixel (255,0,0) would become pink (128,0,0).
Photoshop’s marching ants, as they have been called for decades, can only show whether an area either is or is not selected, it can’t show the level of selection. You can view the selection as a mask by pressing Q, invoking QuickMask. Now if you zoom into the edge of your selection you will see that those pixels near the edge are partly selected.
If you don’t want partially selected pixels, then you can turn off Anti-alias in the tool options panel at the top of the screen.

• PDF export causes text to be pixelated

Greetings.
I am trying to export a vector graphic to PDF. The document contains only vector shapes and some text (not rasterized), set to anti-aliased Crisp.
But no matter what options I choose, the text comes out pixelated.
I increased the dpi from 96 to 300. That didn't work.
I went to File - Print. There are two options to export a PDF:
I can click Print again on the subsequent dialog, then opt to export to PDF. That didn't work.
Or I can click the "Print Settings" button, from which I can then export to PDF. That didn't work.
I tried opening the Photoshop file in Gimp then saving that as a PDF. That didn't work.
I tried every possible option in File - Save As. I selected Photoshop PDF, but after 30 minutes of trial and error, I was unable to locate a combination that gave me the PDF I desired. In all cases, even uncompressed, the text is pixelated.
When I searched the Adobe support site, I couldn't find any results that matched what I needed.
What's going on?? How do I just get a normal PDF out of all of these options??
Mac OS X 10.7.3
Photoshop CS 6 beta
Also, some general questions:
[1] I am confused by the layout of the forums: http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop
Usually when I think "forum" I see a bunch of threads, categories, and names of posters. Instead this reads more like an FAQ and I feel like I'm asking a brick wall. I'm following the links exactly to "Photoshop forums," but then when it tells me to ask my question, I do so, but then I just get 2 irrelevant results and I can't ask anyone. Where am I supposed to go to get help? I'm so lost browsing this site. Did you want me to start a "discussion" rather than a "thread"? Because I would think that a "discussion" implies that I know what I'm talking about and am conducting/moderating my own meeting (which I'm not, no sarcastic remarks I'm stressed out and just need a simple answer but I have no idea how I'm supposed to ask my question when it says "Ask a question..." I reach a dead end and the site doesn't give me a Step 2 suggestion).
[2] Also: The site seems to load slowly. It takes several extra seconds for pages to load, and by then, I usually refresh the page, which confuses me because then I end up like 2 pages back.
[3] And: Adobe tells me that "andrejfavia" is taken. Who took my username? Was it me from like 5 years ago, or does someone else have the same name? It's been so long.

And since no one has replied back to me, I'm guessing that the average user doesn't even know how to do something basic like export a vector PDF from graphics with text,
it seems so.. as you don´t know how to do it.
sorry i can´t help im a photo guy and i think i have never touched PDF in photoshop.

yep especially that copy and paste is not working via mouse annoys me. i only get the "insert, image link" stuff on my right mouse button.... and i don´t need that as often as copy & paste.
the quote function is not very good either, compared with other forum software.

• Is out of sync audio because of Final Cut Pro X or DVD-R 8x?

Hi, I tried burning a 2 hour DVD straight from Final Cut Pro X (with it's featured menu).  I used an Imation DVD-R 8x, and the burn went through successfully.  However, the footage turned out pixelated and I noticed about halfway through that the audio was getting out of sync.  I went back to check my sequence in FCPX to make sure I hadn't made a mistake and everything is alright.  Was this an issue with the DVD I was using, or with FCPX's DVD exporting?

In FCPX, Share>DVD>Settings>Output Device>Hard Drive. That will make a disk image.
If you have iDVD, great choice. Just Share>Master File, and brong that into iDVD. The iDVD app will do the encoding and give you a disk image option as well.

• In Cp 6, background color becomes pixelated

Hello,
I'm using Cp 6 and my background color (blue desktop) is pixelated in my recording.  I've  changed the Video Color Mode from 16 bit to 32 bit but the background still comes out pixelated.  Not sure if that's the right description but the blue color become radiates out from a point on the screen, showing different color rings of blue.  The  remaining items on my desktop (shortcuts, Recycle Bin, Computer, etc.) seem fine.  Any suggestions, please?
Thank you,
Jeanne

Hi Lilybiri,
I'm probably not being clear.  I'm attempting to record a software
simulation.  When I'm recording and starting on my desktop to open the
application's shortcut, the background color records in a distorted
(pixelated is what I was calling it) way. When I record video which is not
what I want, the desktop background records fine.  Is there a setting I can
adjust when doing a simulation so the blue desktop doesn't distort, please?
Thank you,
Jeanne

• Pixelated images when exporting from Lightroom

I recently switched from A Windows PC to the MBP Retina 15". I imported photos to lightroom from my external hard drive in RAW format to lightroom, edited then exported firstly as jpeg resized to 630 x 420 at 150 dpi. The images came out pixelated so I tried exporting at 300dpi even though the images are for web use. They still came out pixelated. So I tried exporting as .tif files at 300 dpi and still they are coming out pixelated... does anyone know why this would be? The raw files don't look pixelated at all.

I resized this image to 1200 x 800 and have just cropped a section to show you.
PART I
Viewed at 100%, I see no "pixelation" or any other distortion of any kind whatsoever.
Only a 100% view (1:1) shows you your true image.  At smaller percentage views, pixels have to be discarded; at greater percentages pixels have to be made up (invented) by the software.
With the Retina screen you're bound to see very strange things, unless you're using the latest and greatest versions of Photoshop and of your video card, and utilizing the Retina features of the software.
PART II
JPEG is a lousy, lossy format for maintaining image quality.  Every single time you open or create and save a JPEG, the image quality deteriorates, no exceptions.  Even at the highest quality of compression.
To take a very low resolution JPEG, like you did, and subject it to such a massive enlargement is to ask for demand trouble.  Not only are you also magnifying all the JPEG compression artifacts, but you are "inventing" an inordinate amount of pixels.
If you have to enlarge your images often, start with an image file that has NEVER been a JPEG.
PART III
Photoshop performed superbly in your case.  That is a remarkably fine enlargement, especially considering the miserly JPEG you started from.  Rejoice!
