TV Remote Control navigation problem

I have created slide shows and burned them to DVD (using "Burn DVD")
The end use will be on TV with remote control.
After inserting the DVD into a TV, I can select a slide show and move through it successfully with the "Play" button of the TV remote control.
My problem: I cannot return to the main menu of slide shows without going through ALL the slides in a category, at which time it automatically returns.
I cannot use any reverse function either.

Thank you very kindly for the reply.
I did not yet try it in a different TV but I did add navigation arrows to each slide and that seemed to "jump start" the functions I was missing.

  • Re: Remote control power problem

I have a similar problem. The 'all power' button powers off the monitor but not the cable box.

I programmed my remote to my new tv.  Now when I press the all on button to power off the tv and set top box the box doesn't shut off.  The display flashes and re-displays the channel.  To power it off I have to hit the cable button and then the power button.

  • MSI TV@Anywhere PLUS remote control shut down problem

    Hi!
I have a MSI TV@Anywhere PLUS card working fine. I use the remote control without problem. Except that, when i want  to shut down my PC with it. I push "POWER", the app closes, and after that i push "RESET" and I get this: "Press "Power" to shut down your computer, or any other key to cancel" . But whatever I try to push on the remote, nothing happens...but by the mouse, the OK or Cancel buttons work.
Can somebody help , what is going on?
    thanks much!

    Hi All,
I solved my problem with some trying, this msi remote is really funny....
Okey, so It appears that, when the above mentioned "shut down or cancel" window comes up pushing the "RESET" on my remote, the remote app. stops receiving commands/stops working. If i close this window, I am able to use again my remote controller. phhhh....
All right, lets use the built-in mouse/pointer controller to click (5) on OK in the window, when it is asking for shut down... NOT working either, because as i mentioned above, when the window appears, the remote stops working... jejeje :D
So, I made a shutdown.exe command icon on the desktop, and I can click on it with my remote...solved...
(the remote controller cannot navigate the cursor above the windows taskbar i do not no why..., besides this, it is ridiculous how difficult to move the cursor with he controller, pushing like crazy :D )

  • Remote Control - Remove the Confirmation Prompt?

We have some Training Lab computers that we sometimes have to remote into via the SCCM Console via Start | Remote Control.  Problem is it launches the Confirmation prompt on the screen and since no one is actually at these VMs, they can't click OK.
How can I disable the confirmation box so when I choose Remote Control it just lets me right in whether someone is logged into these machines or not?
    Thanks!

Client Settings allow you to disable the prompt.  However, in this case, shouldn't you just be using Remote Desktop instead of Remote Control?  Remote control is for providing assistance to a user.

We need a way it can remote in as the local session to be compatible with some crappy Webex Training Lab software that we use.  a SCCM remote control connection is the only thing we've found that works.
Where exactly do I find the setting to disable the prompt?  I've been looking around but haven't come across it yet.

  • Unresponsive remote control with Toshiba 24D3434DB

    I recently bought a 24D3434D smart tv.
I was unable to scan for any channels when i bought it since i didnt have an aerial socket in the room i was using it in but i was able to use the smart tv function until suddenly the tv displayed a screen telling me that no channels were availiable and stopped responding to the remote control.
I took it back to the shop and the tv started to respond to the remote again and they were able to scan for channels there. When i took it home and turned it on again the remote wouldn't respond anymore until i tried again the next day after i left it unplugged over the night.
In the morning i found that the remote was working again until i plugged the tv into an adapter and not directly into the mains where the tv stopped responding to the remote again.
Does anyone know why this is happening or what i can do to fix this problem?
    Thanks.

    >In the morning i found that the remote was working again until i plugged the tv into an adapter and not directly into the mains where the tv stopped responding to the remote again.
What adapter do you mean exactly?
Does the remote control work properly if the TV is connected directly to the mains?
To be honest this is the first time I meet such issue.
Maybe some kind of light affects the functionality of the remote control, maybe its really an TV or remote control hardware problem.
I guess to find out whats exactly wring you should test it with another remote control or another TV and same remote control.

  • Remote Control and Remote View Problem

    Hi,
I work at a High School running Netware 6.0 SP5 and Zen works 4.01 ir7.
Remote Control and Remote View works great but I noticed one problem.
We have a logo of the school that is forced down on to the desktop when a
user logs in through group policies. This logo works perfect for the
desktop wall paper and loads every time a user logs in.
When I Remote Control or Remote View a computer the users desktop wall
paper turns from the logo being forced down through group policies to the
desktop to a blue desktop wall paper.
I would prefer the desktop wall paper staying the schools logo when I
Remote Control or Remote View because if the desktop wall paper changes to
the blue color I mentioned above when I Remote Control or Remote View the
users computer, they will know that someone is taking over their computer
which sometimes we dont want them knowing.
We have Windows 98SE computer running Novell Client 3.4 and we have some
computers running Windows XP Professional SP1 and Windows XP Professional
    SP2 both running Novell Client 4.91 SP2.
The Remote Control and Remote View problem of the desktop wall paper
changing on the users computer occurs on all operating systems mentioned
    above.
Is there a solution to my above problem? When Remote Controlling and
Remote Viewing someone's computer I don't want the desktop wall paper to
    change.
    Thanks!

  • Problems with remote control and user accounts - error 1759?

    We're running:
-XP Pro SP2 clients with Zen SP1 IR3a agent, 4.91 SP2 Netware client.
-We are NOT running Middle Tier.
    -Novell servers are running Netware 6.5 SP7, E-directory 8.7.3.10b or 8.8.
-Zen server is also SP1 IR3a.
We have no problem using remote control on workstation objects. We are having intermittent issues with remote controlling user objects. When the issue occurs, we receive the following error, "Error 1759: The selected user is not logged in on any workstations" even though the user is in fact logged in. After some more research, it appears that the "networkAddress" attribute of the user object is blank so we feel that this is the root cause. My question is what would cause the networkAddress attribute to randomly not update? For instance we had a user (verified his login) who we could not remote via the user object (workstation object worked). We checked his networkAddress attribute and found that it was empty. User rebooted and logged in again and his networkAddress attribute populated, and then we could remote control him via the user object. Now this isn't always the case after a reboot. There doesn't appear to be any pattern to when the networkAddress attribute does or does not update. In fact, this particular user has a laptop so he boots it up fresh every morning yet he was not showing a network address when he logged in initially today.
We've followed the troubleshooting steps in Novell Documentation without any success. Is there anything else that we might be missing, especially with respect to getting the networkAddress attribute to update? We ran a DSreport on that attribute and found about 500 out of a total of 1500 users had no networkAddress. Some of those are sure to be legitimate but that number is much too high for the number of people that should be in the office.
I've read some older threads on the subject but none of them really provide a firm solution. Also most of the older threads reference Middle Tier which we are not using.
    Thanks in advance.

    > 4.91 SP2 Netware client.
    You could try this TID:
"A user will no longer have an entry in their "Network Address" attribute
even though they are logged into the eDirectory Tree."
    http://www.novell.com/support/viewCo...1262&sliceId=1
    "Resolution"
"This was fixed in the 4.91 SP3 client. NWFS.SYS was modified so that it
will check the monitor connection on a reconnect and if it is not connected
close the connection and try and get a new monitor connection to the tree.
Prior to the 4.91 SP3 client, the solution is to have the user login again
so that it issues the NDS Finish Login request again that will populate
    Network Address again."

  • Problem with remote control and Windows 7 - HP Pavilion 6301eu

I installed Windows 7 32-bit and my remote control does not work. I have tried all possible drivers and still nothing ... Photo driver attached. Does anyone have a link to the current drivers for the remote control and Windows 7? thank you

    Hi John:
Thanks but, I had already done this. I was having THAT problem with Encore (could not even initialize before tanking) when I first installed it and that's when I updated the Roxio engine. I don't know what else there is to update or correct at this point.
There was one thing that occurred to me: When I was using XP, I had to disable Open GL in order to get Encore to stabilize. I've heard one recommendation for Encore that one must disable graphics acceleration. I would like try that here except I can't figure out how to do that in Windows 7.
I've been Googling "Windows 7 Disable Graphics Accel" and have come up with nothing useful.
Thanks for your help though and if you have any other ideas, I'm all ears.

  • N80IE Problem with Nokia Remote Control Headset AD...

Guys,do you have this AD-41 Remote Control Headphone, found in N73 Music Edition Phones,on your N80? My problem is that, I cant remotely play a song by simply pressing the PLAY Button on it... But before I bought this headset for my N80 I check first the Nokia web site, its says that it is COMPATIBLE... Is there something missing? Like, do I need to install a certain app so that it would work? Or, Its just like, I can't do it in N80?

Hi, Ryan. Look, I have now an N73; but before I had an N80 and guess what: I had the same problem as you. I sent an e-mail to Nokia, and what did they say in the e-mail they sent back? "The compatibility between your device and your hands-free is PARTIAL, sir.". What the **bleep**?!!... Yes, it's not fully compatible. You don't need any software or setup in the phone... You (and I) need light the Nokia's offices on fire...

Navigation of iPhoto and iTunes not possible by Remote Control after upgrading from Leo to Mountain Lion. I miss this functionality because it was nice to see may photoes directly on the iMac-Screen as well to hear the Music on my Radio. No chance to implement this function again by a newer upgrade?

  • Just bought Apple TV today, have one problem, how to have the remote control the TV alone, not my mac pro ...

just bought the Apple TV today, connected with my Pioneer Elite receiver, works great with my iPhone 5, HD movie steam without any problem. but when i open my MBP, problem start surface, i try to do the home sharing, but the remote control not only control my apple tv, but control my MBP as well, so it mess up everything. please help also the Apple TV keep on resume playing music or video without permission, for example, i was trying to watch a photo slideshow, but it keeping switch back to playing the video files i last watched. any ideas?

As for the remote issue, what version of OS X are you using?
With the latest version of Mountain Lion 10.8.2 you will find the remote control setting in Preferences/Sharing/Privacy then click the Advanced button at the bottom. Check "Disable remote control infrared receiver" or pair a different Apple remote to prevent the ATV's remote from controlling the computer.

  • SB Audigy 2 Platinum Remote Control Problem, Need THis Resolved quic

    Hi
this is a Known issue to Symantec Support, I really really want to be able to use my Audigy 2 Remote Control with this Soundcard, but I can't, until Symantec or YOUR SLOW AS MOLASSES COMPANY UPDATES MEDIASOURCE SOFTWARE SO THESE 2 PROGRAMS DON"T CONFLICT, WITH REMOTE CENTER LOADING ON STARTUP, IT WILL NOT LOAD AUTOPROTECT FOR NORTON ANTIVIRUS 2005
FIX THIS, and quickly, is all I have to say
Or let use SB Audigy 2 Platinum Users download the newest versions of the software
Message Edited by bikeman on 0-22-2004 03:34 AM

    Hi
I don't have that file on startup--SBDrvdet, All I have is Creative DVD Audio Driver Detector, CTHelper, and RCman, which is disabled so Norton's Autoprotect will work ok.
    Thanks for the reply though
Here is Symantecs workaround, I guess I can li've with these, but if Norton's Autoprotect winds up disabling by this workaround, and I happen to get a trojan or virus in..then I won't be very happy
To stop Creative MediaSource Go! from running when the computer starts
    On the Windows taskbar, click <B>Start </B>><B>Programs </B>><B>Creative </B>><B>Creative MediaSource Go!</B>, and then click <B>Creative MediaSource Go!</B></LI>
Right-click anywhere on Creative MediaSource Go!</LI>
In the new window that appears, click <B>Close</B>. This prevents the program from loading when the computer starts.</LI>
    Do one of the following:
If you also have Creative RemoteCenter, then go on to "To stop Creative RemoteCenter from running when the computer starts."</LI>
If you do not have Creative RemoteCenter, then restart the computer and go to the next step.</LI>
    </LI>
After the computer starts and Norton AntiVirus runs without a problem, then re-enable Creative MediaSource Go!</LI>
<B>To stop Creative RemoteCenter from running when the computer starts</B>
    Do one of the following:
In Windows XP, on the taskbar, click <B>Start </B>><B>Control Panel </B>><B>Remote Control Center</B>.</LI>
    In Windows 2000, on the taskbar, click <B>Start </B>><B>Settings </B>><B>Control Panel </B>><B>Remote Control Center</B>.</LI>
    </LI>
    Uncheck <B>Enable RemoteCenter</B>.</LI>
Uncheck <B>Show RemoteCenter icon on taskbar</B>.</LI>
Uncheck <B>Show RemoteCenter splash screen when RemoteCenter is started</B>.</LI>
    Restart the computer.</LI>
After the computer starts and Norton AntiVirus runs without a problem, then re-enable RemoteCenter. To re-enable RemoteCenter, repeat steps through 5, this time checking each entry. You must repeat these steps whenever you start the computer.</LI>
After Disabling Creative DVD Audio Detector, I reenabled the Remote Control and restarted, and so far so good last 2 days without a conflict With Norton Antivirus, if it really does solve the problem, I will email Symantec Support and let them know the solution, so they can inform other users with the same problem, since obviously creative doesn't want to assist them in finding the problem or provide help fixing it. So far Remote Control hasn't been an issue, but I'm gonna wait til end of month to send off an email to Symantec to make sure it's actually fixed. Since if it doesn't drop out of me by then, then I know it's fixed, since was only in 2 weeks before it got the internal program error before.

  • Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Drive Bay Problem/Remote Control Probl

Yesterday I have received my X-Fi Platinum sound card.
    The sound card works fine.
I see a red light in my dri've bay so I am assuming there is power.
The problem is that when I plug in headphones it does not work.
The remote control does not work either. Is there supposed to be a light when i press something on it's?
Also people tell me to enable it in Entertainment Center Settings but it wont let me.
When I open the program it pops up " Unable to find working IR device".
Also when i get in the program it wont let me check the box that says " enable remote control". It is just grayed out and wont let me click.
    Can someone please help me.
Thanks in advance.Message Edited by xkrnmikelx on 05-27-2006 0:50 PM

Okay, I've got it running (almost):
I did uninstall all Creative apps and drivers.
After a reboot, I did run the Registry Cleaner of Tuneup (http://www.tune-up.com/)for several times.
In addition, I did manually delete ALL creative entries in the registry with "regedit".
I did also found some running tasks for my onboard RealTek soundcard, I thought they have been uninstalled already, did kill the tasks and deleted the related programms in the Windows folder (soundman.exe).
After another reboot, I did run the installation from the CD again - the Entertainment Center is running.
ONLY PROBLEM LEFT: All options are working, except in "Music". All options except the last one (Workplace) to browse folders, are crashing the Entertainment Center.
When I select Artist, Album, Genre, the EC seems to look for files on my HD and shuts down after a while.
Maybe my database/music folder is to large (+ 5000 titles, my complete CD collection as WMA files).
I'm running a German OS, so I'm not 00&#37; sure if the mentioned folders/options are correct translated.
