TV screen went blue - says 'no signal'

hit a button on the remote and it went to the HDM1 screen and I can't get back to regular TV

Sounds to me like the TV is no longer on the correct input for you to be able to watch your X1 box.
Is your X1 remote more rounded shaped or more rectangular? If it is one of the more rectangular remotes (XR5 or XR11) press the "TV Input" button on the bottom right hand corner of the remote until the picture returns.
Also, please make sure your X1 box is actually turned on...

  • My screen went Blue

Im a new user to Mac and have had my mac pro for 3 weeks, tonight the screen went blue and wouldnt do anything, i had to turn it off to clear it and wondered if anyone could shed some light as to why, I cant remember if I was looking at FB or my usual footie forum.

OK, well it's possible it wasn't anything to worry about. BTW I'm in the US so I'm guessing by FB you mean Football or what we call Soccer.
As far as the updates I would recommend running Software Update about once per week. You can set your computer to do this automatically in System Preferences - Software Update and then make the change to your preference.
If you get a similar crash you should then begin using Activity Monitor (Applications - Utilities- Activity Monitor) and see if any apps are using up too much RAM or if anything is taking too much % CPU. If you can't spot anything then immediately call AppleCare (number is in your manual), you have 90 days of free phone support or if you purchased AppleCare that is extended to 3 years as is your warranty.

  • My iPod screen went blue?

I had replaced my iPod in 2013, due to a bad battery, and liquid damage, and I got my new one, had it for a few months, and updated to iOS 7 betas. I then went to 7.0.2, and then 7.1, after noticing some iPhone 5 apps loading like an iPhone 4s. Anyways, my battery was on a dock, and then, I get red lines on the bottom 1/4 of the screen, and blue lines on the other 3/4 then, the colours intensified, and my iPod died. There is no damage on my iPod, except a few scratches and a dent on 1 corner, that doesn't stifle use. Anyways, my iPod is a brick. My iPhone, and iPad do nothing of the sort.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    Hello, jaimerodgz.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here is a resource that may provide some troubleshooting steps to help with this issue.  See the section related to the iPhone display.
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting

If all troubleshooting steps have been processed, I would recommend taking a look at the section labeled Issue not resolved.

  • Screen WENT blue for a few minutes, back to normal

    hey folks, and apple-
new macbook aluminum 2.4ghz, all is going well two weeks in, EXCEPT --
a few minutes ago, i was working, got a phone call. the display went to sleep, but the mac was still on. i woke the display back up after the call, and the display had a VERY BLUE cast to it suddenly. i got a little worried.
i ran the screensaver, and woke it up, and still blue.
i closed the mac, let it sleep for about 10 seconds, woke it up, and the blue is now gone. weird. guessing this is a software/firmware issue. but wanted to report it.

I've had this twice now, with a 2.0GHz machine.
Each time it happened the display had been asleep, but the computer itself was awake.
Seems like maybe a colour profile issue. The first time it went way after sleeping (I thought it was my eyes), the second time immediately after I clicked "Displays" in System Preferences -- almost like it'd forgotten what profile it should be using. The blue sheen matched the one I get with Apple's Generic RGB Profile.

  • I replaced the screen on my iPhone 5s and the screen went blue and red then it doesn't want to turn on now what should I do? I'm thinking of buying a new battery to see if that's the problem and if I get another screen I might just reset my iPhone am

Like I said I think it's the battery but I have to chech if it's the battery or the screen but please help I want my iPhone back.. And I hate using Android.

The iPhone does not have user serviceable parts. There is no where to buy genuine Apple parts, and once you open the phone, you forfeit any warranty or post-warranty support, as well as help from the forum.  Try Google.

  • My imac suddenly went blue

I was working fine with my 24 inch alum imac (receantly bought it) and suddenly the screen went blue and it restarted all my system and apps, losing all unsaved documents. Since i bought my imac (two months ago) it has happened three times its like the computer restart by itself, i already checked the system preferences buy everything seems to be ok no auto restart or scheduled one its selected....
Hope somebody can help me with this......
    Razland

    Welcome to Apple Discussions...
Razland, since this iMac is so new and you are experiencing some type of hard disk failure, I would take it back, you're under the one year warranty.
Your computer should not restart itself EVER. Have you tried using your system restore disk to verify the hard disk for errors? If you have problems with a disk or volume, use Disk Utility to test and repair it.
    To repair your startup disk:
Open Disk Utility, in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.
    Open Disk Utility
Select your disk, and click First Aid.
    Click Verify Disk.
If the disk needs repairs, do one of the following:
Insert your Mac OS X Install disc in your computer’s optical drive or an optical drive connected to your computer, and then restart your computer. When you hear the startup tone, hold down the C key until you see the progress indicator, which looks like a spinning gear.
Follow the onscreen instructions until the menu bar appears with the Utilities menu in it, choose Utilities > Disk Utility, click First Aid, and then click Repair Disk. Once you have finished repairing the disk, from the Menu Bar, click Utilities/Startup Disk. Select MacintoshHD 10.x.x in the window and click Restart.

i connected my laptop to the tv and it has worked before. this time only the laptop flashes the blue screen and the tv is saying no signal. when i tried to check the dispaly arrangement it says this:The Arrangement tab of Displays preferences is hidden because you only have a single display attached to this computer.

It is not properly connected to the network.
Make sure location is set correctly
DNS should be on auto (settings - general - network)
    Try ethernet
Signal strength on device won't account for issues, you would need a network report from istumbler, netstumbler or similar. This will show accurate signal strength along with noise and nearby networks

Hi, i've just updated my iphone 5s to ios7.1 two weeks ago, however, 4 days ago, my phone's screen turned blue then grey. I have tried restoring it through i tunes but itunes keep saying error 40. Can this still be fixed? or does it need a replacement?

    Hey everyone in Apple world!
I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP!  Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
    Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process.  Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal.  No flashing yellow screen anymore!!
(Note that I arrived at this solution when I first saw this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570?viewlocale=en_US)
Let me know if this works for you!
