TV Series Premieres

This might have been addressed somewhere else but I was wondering if there was a way to display just the series premieres in the TV listings? With other cable companies I've been able to see a list of all the series premieres that will be airing within the Guide range but haven't been able to find this with Fios.

AFAIK - the answer is no. First I have ever heard of this from any provider. Heck, I'd be happy if their guide data provider (company called FYI) could just get the new flag and descriptions right

Premiere Elements 8: import as numbered stills not working

System is an Alienware M17x running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.
I have a folder (tried this on multiple folders, actually) that only contains a series of PNG files, named Frame0000.png, Frame0001.png, and so on. When I follow the help instructions and import the first image in the sequence, and check the import as numbered stills box, PE8 still only imports the first image. I've tried this on multiple sequences, including BMP and JPG files to see if it was a PNG problem, and none of them work. The only way thus far I've found to import the whole sequence is to group-select them all manually and trust the time stamp sorting to keep them in order.
Is this a bug in PE8? Is there something missing in the process instructions that I'm not doing?

If, when you browse to the files, you hold down the Shift key and select the first and last in the series, Premiere Elements will import the entire set into your project at once. Since you have the sequence named numerically in the order you'd liked them to appear, they will appear in that order in the Project media panel.
Is this not what you're seeing?

I need help with audio in my Premiere Pro edit

I recently recorded a gameplay with a song track in it. In the beginning of my video, i did a voiceover explaining what the video was going to be about. When im talking, i want to lower the song, then raise the volume when im done talking. How can i do this? If i need to be more specific let me know. Thanks!

OK, assuming that the gameplay audio with the song is on audio track one and the voiceover is on audio track two.
All you have to do is to keyframe track one to lower the volume while you are talking and raise it bak to normal when you finish speaking. It is pretty simple.

I don't know what happend but archlinux.puzzle.ch seems to be pretty slow these days. While I got ~ 2.4MB/s before, now I get about 150KB/s. I'm sitting in ZH-city and my router is connected to Cablecom.

Why no closed captioning with TV shows?

Since most TV shows are already have closed captioning, why is not this option presented for TV programs available on iTunes? Also, I wonder if the lack of [CC] is a violation of the American with Disabilities Act.

MP4's that I have created with captions and then transfered to the video iPod are very easy to read.
There are ALOT of people (myself included) that are hearing impaired that love their iPods.
My hearing impairment limits my ability to understand speech when there is alot of other ambient noise. This is especially true when watching tv/movies; the dialog becomes nearly impossible for me to understand. The closed captioning is permanently on on my home TV.
I recently purchased the series premiere and first season of Battlestar Galactica. I have had to re-play many, many portions to try and understand the dialog. Sadly, I haven't had much luck. It's very frustrating to pay good money for both the iPod and the episodes themselves and not have the CC available.
Add me to the list of those hoping Apple adds this functionalitly soon. I know I won't be purchasing any more videos of any kind from iTunes until this feature is added.

Can't get rid of an unwanted download

About two months ago, when iTunes was offering the series premiere of Roommates, I downloaded it, but I downloaded the HD episode first on accident. I quickly got the regular edition and it downloaded fine, but since I know that my iPod Video can't handle anything in HD, I've been trying to get rid of the download. I don't want to let the whole thing download for over four or whatever hours. I tried to delete the file from my "Downloads" folder in my iTunes folder thing and just nothing works. Can anyone tell me how I can rid of the undownloaded HD download without having to fully download it? Thanks!

Can I export to Windows Media 1080p with same quality as Windows Live Movie Maker?

I am looking to replace Windows Live Movie Maker, because of the following:
it keeps crashing
it has occasional problems with audio sync when I use MTS source files
it has very limited editing features (especially inability to increase audio levels for a clip)
However, I would like to still render to 1080p Windows Media files for archiving. Does anyone know if there are settings I could use in Premiere to export to 1080p and get equivalent quality to WLMM? I have failed to find a combination of settings in Premiere that doesn't mess up the video with horizontal lines during motion. Here is an example:
When I use the 1080p export setting in WLMM, the video comes out looking essentially the same as the original MTS files, like in this snapshot:
However, I have failed to find any settings in Premiere Elements that will give an equivalent result. Below is a snapshot from the Windows Media file I exported from Premiere:

Unfortunately, I still see the jagged horizontal lines like the original screenshot I posted. I tried playing with other video export settings (constant bit rate, at 8,000 and 20,000 also), and with variable constrained/unconstrained output. I'm really at a loss for what is going on. I did confirm that it doesn't have the horizontal lines if I encode to MPEG, but the WMV problem persists.

habe mit Premiere Element 12 leider folgende Probleme:
- Nach dem Start von Premiere wird ein vorhandenes Projekt sehr langsam geöffnet ( das Projekt hat eine Dauer von 1 Minute ).
- Die Änderung der Schrift z.B. in Bold Bronze 88 wird nicht immer gemacht. Nach schließen und wieder öffnen von Premiere funktioniert es wieder.
- Der Start und das Beenden von Premiere dauert sehr lange.
Habe folgende Ausstattung:
Intel Core I5, 8GB RAM, AMD Radeon Grafikkarte, HD 7500 Serie
Premiere Elements 12, 12.0 (2013091. main 567661)
Windows 8.1 pro mit Media Center

Ich weiß, Windows 10 ist noch nicht als Final-Product verfügbar.
Aber vielleicht hat schon jemand getestet ob die Produkte der CS6 Serie (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Auditon ...) mit der Betaversion von Windows 10 laufen?
Im englischen Teil war von Adobe zu lesen, dass die CS6 Produkte nicht noch an Windows 10 angepasst werden, wenn sie nicht laufen sollten.
Wäre interessant das zu wissen.

I need help with audio!!!!

I am creating a "movie" on iMovie. It's more like a slideshow. I have a song attached but for some reason the song cuts of at a certain time. I checked in clip trimmer, and it just goes silent. Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 crashes with not finding a capable play module on a windows desktop with a AMD Radeon R9 200 series board.

I installed Premiere Pro CS 6.0 on a brand new system.
Win 8.1,
i7 3.4 GHz on an Asus Sabertooth
16 Gig memory
AMD Radeon R9 290 Graphics Board with the latest drivers and Bios.
On starting Premiere I get the (as I noticed quite frequent appearing) error message that Premiere cannot find a capable play module and the suggestion to update my video drivers.
I tried everything I found in this forum or on the web:
Installed the latest drivers
Run the program as an administrator
Updated the Graphics board Bios
Updated Premiere CS6
Started Gpusniffer in CMD-mode to find out what board it found and added that to the cuda_supported_cards.txt in the Premiere directory.
All to no avail. The app will simply not start.
The Gpusniffers report states:

As I invested a lot in the CS6 Master Collection I am not considering an update tot the CC version, also because the same problem occurs in that version too.
I would be much obliged if someone has an answer that truly will work. This problem costed me the best part of two days’ work and fouled up my workflow considerably.

This makes me think it's using that graphics "card" ( probably built into mobo ? ...called 'onboard graphics ? )
This stuff gets tricky and sometimes the only way to make windows 'recognize' the pci graphics card is to actually take it out and boot, and then put it back in...
Then you get mssg " windows detected new hardware" and you install the drivers...
usually bios gives you choice of using onboard graphics or not ( but this too is wanky sometimes...sorry to say ...)
I recently ( this past year ) had a similar sort of situation but have a desktop, where its easy for me to take off side panel and pull the pci-e graphics card and boot, and get that horrible low res default screen...turn off, install card, reboot etc...
but anyway, it sounds to me like you're notebook is using that mobile graphics driver stuff and not the radeon. Somehow you've got to make it switch to that graphics card is maybe your solution.
sorry I dont have notebook but maybe someone else here does and can help more...

Those parts of the 0001.MTS clip in the timeline were Danger Striped and can be relinked but now have no edits anymore. The edits are apparently only linked with the original 0001.MTS source clip but extend beyond the actual range of the actual source clip. At the time I thought it was weird that premiere displayed the whole string of clips as one (with one name and no breaks) but it all works in the original project file but cannot be transferred to another location without multiple clips showing Danger Stripes.I need to move it and preserve the dozens of motion and opacity edits linked to the apparently oversized timeline clip. HELP!! any ideas?
I did not nest any clips or sequences, premiere just seemed to combine the clips under one name when I moved them to timeline.

A series of video files (0001.MTS to 0005.MTS) were imported into premiere, when moved to timeline premiere combined them and made them look like one long clip named 0001.MTS. Multiple motion edits and opacity edits were made. When project manager moved the project, the actual video content of 0002.MTS to 0005.MTS was missing(source clips are still there but they were playing and working as part of that 0001.MTS timeline clip before). Editing a series for Fox - weird behavior from our system since Premiere CC 2014.2 Update

Hi all,
I'm cutting a series for Fox and we're on season 3. I cut all of season 1 on FCP7. Then dipped my toe into Premiere waters between seasons and cut all of season 2 in Premiere with excellent results. My only gripe on the previous Premiere CC versions was towards the ends of cuts when my timelines were rather complicated, I'd have a crash or two each day. Well I'm finishing up an episode this week which is the first I've cut in version 2014.2. It's WAY more stable, I haven't had a single crash in weeks. That part is amazing! The huge downside has been that my real time performance seems to have taken a serious hit even though the hardware, disk storage, video card, tower etc. are all identical. Worse is that when I'm playing back a sequence that's longer than one show act (like a sequence with the entire show in it, only 22 minutes) I'll a lot of time get a slight stutter frame between edits and that happens on a lot of edits. It's a fast paced racing competition show so say I'm playing back my timeline with a cut from a go pro on the steering wheel to a shot outside the car, it looks like there's a freeze frame of 2 frames long at the end of the GoPro shot before going to the shot outside the car. It's not only going from GoPro to non GoPro, it seems to happen on any kind of footage UNLESS I render it all, then it's fine. It's very frustrating. I've also confirmed when opening up an old show that played back fine on the previous version that this is still happening on these old projects as well. Also when color correcting in a sequence, there's generally a delay in seeing my color changes of several seconds! Premiere has always been instantaneous or very close to instantaneous when showing color updates for the past year until this update. Is this a known issue? Here's my specs:

32GB Ram (in my memory settings of Premiere, I have it set to optimize rendering for Performance and 26 GB RAM for Premiere, 6GB for other apps)

My media is attached via a GRAID 4TB drive connected via eSata. I've also tried a different Graid attached via USB3 and another hard drive connected via FW800.

Hi, I had the same problem.
What I found is the audio external interface needed to be reset.
So I've did this : quit Premiere, unplug my USB audio device, plug it back and launch premiere.
Every was fine.

Will be the NVIDIA GeForce 620M graphic card be compatible with any of Adobe Premiere series?

Recently I adquired the GeForce 620M graphic card, trying to resolve a problem with my Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 software (Premiere suddenly stopped working, and the only problem was the graphic card, the NVIDIA GeForce 210 series I used to have).
In order to fix that, I buyed the 620 series, but in the Compatibilities page of Adobe (http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/products/premiere/cs6/pdfs/c ompatibiltiy-list-premiere-pro-cs6-only-hw-compatibility.pdf), in any of the Premiere series, CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6..., appears the 620M graphic card, so my cuestion is if the card is too recent to admit Premiere Pro.

Any card will work with CS4 to send the display to the computer monitor
Hardware acceleration using CUDA cores is only available for CS5 and later
The official list is only updated as Adobe has staff time to completely test & certify any individual nVidia card... For many others, with at least 1Gig of video ram, use the nVidia Hack http://forums.adobe.com/thread/629557 - which is a simple entry in a "supported cards" file... again, this is ONLY for CS5 and later
