TV Show download problem with library on a network share

My local drive has 100GB disk space available. I have my iTunes library configured to be on a network share which happens to be on a NAS (network attached storage) drive. My NAS drive has over 600GB disk space available. When I try to download a TV Show (Battlestar Galactica) I get an error which says that:
"The disk you are attempting to use is full"
This is nowhere near true. I tried several times, then switched my iTunes library to point to my local drive, and the download worked. Does iTunes have a problem with a library on a network share?

Not easy because in order to open just one library file you would have to be running the same version of iTunes on all computers which would be limited to the lowest version supported by your computers (the G3). Try to open a iTunes 10 library with 9.2.1 and it will refuse. This in turn might not support your equipment. Even if you can do this you would have to make sure only one copy of iTunes was running because the library file cannot be opened by multiple copies of iTunes at the same time.

Problems with VPN and Windows Network Shares

I'm in the middle of a Windows domain migration and I've setup the two way trust for the domains.
Cisco VPN clients authenticate against the old domain.
A user with an account in the new domain and whos laptop is joined to the new domain (also has a user account in the old domain) can connect to the VPN but is asked for Windows authentication when they connect to a network share in either domain.
Users whos account/laptop are in the old domain don't have this issue.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Browsing Network Neighborhood is a function of the Microsoft browsing service. Any problems are usually because the PC or master browsers do not function properly. Network Neighborhood is officially not supported. However, it works if configured correctly. Browsing Network Neighborhood works by obtaining the browse list from either a master or backup browser. This list is obtained locally on your LAN by using NetBIOS Broadcasts to locate domain browsers.
Inorder to resove this :
Make sure you have NetBIOS over TCP enabled on the adapter that you use to connect to the domain.

My MacBook Pro 13 inch makes a clicking noise from the hard drive and can not start up in safe mode and normal. I then ran disk utility in recovery mode and disk utility shows no problems with the hard drive. What is the problem?

Sounds like a mechanical problem with the drive and it ruined the sectors where the Macintosh HD partition (and OS X, and files and programs) reside, but not your Recovery HD partition.
If you held command option r while booting, that's Internet Recovery and it's loaded via the Internet, not via the Recovery HD partition on the boot drive, so that could mean the drive is dead mechanically or there is another issue.
In either case the drive will likely have to be replaced, it's a matter of what occured to where and the drive state if you can recover data or not. If you made recent backups then your fine.

IPhone has constant problems with Computer-To-Computer network

I use a Computer-To-Computer network to connect my iPhone with my MacBook Pro when I'm at the office. This enables syncing of Things and OmniFocus between my iPhone versions of these programs and the versions on my MacBook Pro. I have one of the original (2G) iPhones. I daily go to my Airport icon on my Mac's menu bar, click on Create Network, and set up a password. I'm using 40-bit WEP.
This sort of syncing procedure worked fairly well until iPhone OS 3.0. Ever since then, it's been completely unreliable. I've tried changing the channel a number of times, and of course rebooting both the iPhone and the computer dozens of times. It's still a problem.
Anyone heard of this networking problem with 3.0? Any info appreciated! Thanks.

yes, i have been having problems with computer to computer networking to iphone as well. for now, the only thing that keeps a steady connection is removing the sim card, so keep a paper clip handy.

ITunes TV show download problem

I successfully downloaded Battlestar Galactica episode: Torn after installing iTunes 7.0.2. After restart, the episode is nowhere to be found. It isn't listed in my purchases or in the TV Shows section of the library. Of course, the Store's "check purchases" shows I already downloaded it.
It looks like others have had trouble with this episode, but mine downloaded with no trouble. It seems to have disappeared. What should I do? Where can it be?

I have this problem right now with about 30 episdoes bought with season passes...no solution yet. But at least try searching - and make sure to select all hard drives (internal and external) where they might be. Files like this dhow up under "Other" in the search hierarchy - as an .mp4 file. Use only part of the name to search to make sure you don't fall prey to a typing error...also, if you have downloaded any other tv shows, search for them to see the path where they are stored...

Folio download problem with Android app

I still have a problem with the app. It's ok with the certificate now and ok on google play store.
The app was updated on two android tablets and when I try to download an issue which was uploaded a few months ago with v30 DPS tools, the app can't download it because I need to upgrade the app.
The first one was build with v25 tools, is this something with the certificate.

What version number shows in the about dialog of your application? You can get to the about dialog from the "..." or hardware menu button on your device while in the library view. Select "About".

Download Problem with iPhoto 6.0.4.

New Mac user here. I have a clean install of OS X, uodated to to 10.4.8. I bought a copy of iLife 06 from Amazon.com and installed it and successfully updated the various programs....except for iPhoto.
The version installed is 6.0.1. When I look for updates I get the message that 6.0.4 is available and I download it (i've done this 3 or 4 times) and each time it shows a successful download and then I get an error message:
"The update "iPhoto Update" can't be installed.
The digital signature for this package is incorrect. The package may have been tampered with or corrupted since being signed by "Apple"."
This is odd. After I installed iLife from the disk I bought (in a sealed box) from Amazon I have successfully downloaded and installed updates to the other component programs; it is just iPhoto that is giving the problem.
Which figures because that is the one program in the suite I want to use.
I would appreciate any help or direction in solving this problem.
(btw: I noticed some comments on this forum about problems with v 6.0.5. I have only been 'offered' a download of 6.0.4. Has 6.0.5 been withdrawn?)

Try downloading the standalone updater for iPhoto 6.04. iPhoto 6.05 has not been pulled, but you cannot install it until you've successfully installed the iPhoto 6.04 updater, and Software Update isn't supposed to show you any updates which can't be installed on your configuration.

Itunes/apple, wake up and fix your tv shows downloading problems!

What gives with all the messed up tv episodes, there are episodes missing in Prison Break, season 1, as well as other episodes. A quick look at the reviews indicates a long list of upset users. Apple, at least let us know what is going on with all the missing episodes. I downloaded the whole first season of 24 and found one of the episodes wasn't the whole show, it was missing about 10 minutes at the end. Just let us know whats going on here, we're all in the dark!

I just discovered a really bizarre problem with Prison Break season 1. First of all, I bought the entire series and discovered, like many others, there was a duplicate episode. It seems they might be trying to fix this, because they've withdrawn all the later episodes after the duplicate - perhaps renaming and reposting them? But suddenly, my iTunes displays an exclamation mark next to the episode entitled Brother's Keeper (which really is the episode before that), indicating that the file doesn't exist on my disk. And it doesn't! The file has been removed and I did not delete it. It isn't in the trash or anywhere else. But I watched it last night! Has anyone else had experienced anything like this? A file just gone missing? To make things even worse, my purchase history lists all the episodes except this one - it is as if I never bought it! But the total charge on my account shows I bought one more episode and I have the file on my iPod. It's very strange and disturbing this...

Download Problem with Itunes

I purchased three TV series (House Season 3, 4, & 5) on 17 Feb 09. The Itunes indicator at bottom of screen showed downloads are available to download, but I receive error message, "Unable to check for available downloads. The network connection timed out". Since that time I have contacted Itunes support four times and tried all of the fixes they recommended. I have tried account on two three different internet networks and four different computers. To date, the problem is the same. The problem appears not to be in network or computer. Presently I have 118 available downloads indicated on Itunes. Can anyone recommend another fix?

This might be the problem, having over 100 items in your download queue. Other folks have had to contact iTS support and ask for some items to be removed so they can get them in batches.

Download problem with pacman

Hi,
i'm new to archlinux and am currently installing arch, unfortunately pacman waits for about 15-20 seconds after each package before he gets the next one so that installing packages is realy time consuming (downloadspeed of the packages is normal around 600kb/s). i do not have any similiar problems with other distributins or downloads and couldn't find anything like this in the wiki,forum or with a searchengine. i realy don't know what could cause this problem and would appreciate any help.

You're connection the iTunes Match servers is offline. That's why the songs are greyed out and the cloud icon has the horozontal lines in it. Quit iTunes, wait a few seconds, re-launch the application and wait until the tracks are no longer greyed out and you will be able to download them.

Just to ask if there is some basic setup for Nvidia network drivers in Windows or in BIOS since I'm having download errors with a DSL connection when i use the Nvidia networking controller, not depending from the OS I'm booting (WinXP Pro SP2 or WinXP pro 64). Has anyone else had problems with downloading the new version of JDeveloper? The link appears to be going nowhere.

we heard that people sometime are having problems that are usually solved by trying again a little later.
Another option that might work is to add -west to the server name so it will become download-west.oracle.com

I can not get my i-tunes to play correctly, problem with library I think.

I have had this problem for a really long time and I don't know how to fix it. I can open my i-tunes but when I click to play a song it freezes up and says "i-tunes1 not responding." the only way I can get i-tunes to work is to go into programs and repair it.
I think it is a problem with my library, because I have a folder named i-tunes with my songs in it and a folder named i-tunes1 with my i-tunes library and i-tunes media folder in it. There is nothing in my i-tunes media folder. I have tried consolidating my library and stuff but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

How many computers do you have authorized to use your Apple ID. There is a limit of 5 computers. Mobile devices are counted differently from computers.

I have problem with Enterprise Manager 11g Grid Control Release 1 (11.1.0.1.0) for Linux x86-64 (64-bit) downloaded archives.
Actually with GridControl_11.1.0.1.0_Linux_x86-64_2of3.zip (1,589,671,704 bytes) (cksum - 535544209)
I successfully downloaded all archives but cksum for this file (...2of3...) is invalid.
Even it is invalid I tried to install. Installation starts ok, but it breaks after few moments.

Here is cksum from file that I downloaded 3966614633 and on download page is 535544209.
It's obvious that something is wrong!
Oracle personal should fix this issue.
