TV Show Playback Not Working: Black screen

Hey there, everyone.
So, this problem has had me running all around the Apple community, uninstalling, re-installing both iTunes and multiple other things on my computer and having no luck with any of the potential solutions I've found. As such, I'm submitting this question here now and hopefully I will get a solution to this very irritating problem.
I recently upgraded my computer (CPU and motherboard). Now whenever I try to watch the TV shows that I've purchase and downloaded through iTunes I just get a black screen with about three seconds of audio before it stops. However, they play perfectly fine in Quicktime.
I'll list out the things that I have tried that have not resulted in a solution to the problem:
Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes (using the proper uninstallation order outlined by Apple)
Using an older version of iTunes: current version is 11.1.1, tried rolling back to 10.7.
Disabling DirectX and Direct3D acceleration.
Using an older NVIDIA GPU driver: current version is 327.23, tried rolling back to 320.49 (the driver I had before I upgraded)
Deleting the backed up versions of my shows and redownloading them.
If there's some solution that I'm unaware of I would love to hear it! I've been wrestling with this issue for several days and it's really irritating me that I can't find any sort of way to fix it. I know I could just watch them in Quicktime but I'm a bit picky and Quicktime (for some reason) makes the shows I bought look incredibly washed out.
It should also be noted that I am not using Apple TV, as I've seen solutions on here referring to it. I'm just trying to watch TV shows through iTunes on my computer.

Built-in iSight not working-black screen with every application

I have a MacBook laptop version 10.6.2 and just recently my built-in isight stopped working. i've had this laptop for about 2 years now and there have never been problems with the isight. i downloaded skype because i tried using ichat and my friends computer wouldn't video chat when i used ichat, but when i used skype it worked. so i've been using skype for about a month now... and just recently, i'd say like 2 weeks ago i went to use skype and the screen was completely black. the sound works, my friend said she could hear me she just couldn't see me. so i went into photo booth to see if the camera worked with that, and its a black screen on that app too! and when i take a picture it counts down like it normally would, but it doesn't even produce a picture, just a blank in the line of pictures at the bottom.. i also went into ichat and it has the same thing-black screen. i think the computer detects the camera, because it never said that it didn't... just the screen is always black.
just some other info.... when i go to use an application that uses isight, the green light on the right side of the camera lights up.. nothing else really happens though.
any information or diagnostic would be most appreciated!! thank you!

Screen Sharing not working - Black Screen

Hi
I run a Mac Mini (2010) with Snow Leopard as a media server. The MM is headless so I rely on screen sharing to control it. I connect to it using Screen Sharing on my MacBookPro (also Snow Leopard) as well as LogMeIn when at work.
I have the MM scheduled to shutdown at night and come back on in the morning. Recently after starting up I get a black screen on Screen Sharing. I've tried a lot of the tips given and none have worked. Bizarrely the screen is black on LogMeIn as well so I don't believe it's a Screen Sharing issue.
If I force a shutdown (pressing power button) then restart, Screen Sharing works fine.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I noticed the problem once I updated to Adobe Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 Universal Binary for Macs | 7.60
I am not sure what my development team in India has done and if they upgraded to the 1.3 SDK. I will check with them, and make sure that they do and see if that fixes the problem
I am not sure if I am getting a RTE, no messages or errors are popping up it is just staying a black screen.
I will pass along the suggestions you made to my development team in India, and hopefully it helps.

Quick question, I was looking for the notification of the latest update on the collabritive methods blog and I did not see anything there.. is there another place I should be looking for the latest news about LCCS ?

Mad Men shows will not play - black screen, no sound

Black screen and no sound when trying to play Mad Men shows. Video podcasts play fine.

Opened the videos with QuickTime. Plays perfectly.

Macbook Display Not Working (Black screen)

I have a Macbook 13.3" and I recently sent my screen in to get fixed after I dropped it. The hardware is fine, but I tried to turn on the computer and everything's working fine, but the screen won't turn on.
I can hear sound, I have tried using the screen light (increase and decrease), and the screen itself does light up a bit, but not enough to even consider it on; it looks black, regardless, just a lighter tone of it.
This leads me to believe that something is wrong with the signaling, since it is obvious that my screen's inverter is providing the screen power.
What is wrong?

why not just take it back to whoever "fixed" it and get them to fix it for real, NO LEMONS!

TV Show Playback not working

Help. I just bought the new season for "Battlestar Galactica" and downloaded the first two episodes. Playback is NOT video and audio is interrupted. I have a slow dsl connection. Download for a 1- hour episode took about 3 hours. Download for the 2 hour season premier took over six hours. I downloaded the current player, etc. So, I should have all the right equipment. I am disgusted that there appears to be no corporate help available from iTunes. Already checked various support articles in their "Support" category. Ideas on how to view real video and audio?

HTML5 not working, black screen after first frame

I cannot get html5 to work on Firefox for Android. If I download the file it plays fine on VLC. I'm using an LG Volt.

I also found out it doesn't play flash correctly either (I installed the flash plug in)

That issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Reset the PRAM
Reinstall the operating system from the dvd (you will not loose your data)

Why is an mov file showing up as a black screen with only audio?

I am importing a mov file into elements 11 and it is only showing up as a black screen with audio. The clip will play in other programs on my computer but is not importing into elements 11. The file was created on my panisonic camera. I am pretty new to video editting and am quite frusterated. I'm assuming it is some sort of codec issue but don't know how to proceed. T61 shows nothing but a black screen...

I'm working on a Lenovo T61 notebook, and shows nothing but a black screen with a cursor no POST no nothing. What could the solution to that? Please help it's agent...

take the out hdd first, and see what happens. Also you may want to take the ram out and then restart.

What happens when yo try to play them in iTunes on yur computer?
If you get a message what is the exact wording of the message?
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Some countries do not allow redownloads some kinds of media
