TV shows and podcast for Zen microph

My son had to get the Zen microphoto. He couldn't be like my girls and get the apple photo. He claims Zen is so much better. How /where do I go to get tv shows and 'video' podcast for the microphoto The girls have tons in their itunes account. I guess I can't drag the tv shows out of itunes and into zen? There has to be a way to get video on this thing, after all it has a beautiful screen which I hope can be used for more than looking at song titles.

The Zen MicroPhoto does not support video playback. The only players that do are the Zen Vision and Zen Vision:M.
As for podcasts, goto www.zencast.com and download ZenCast. You can transfer audio podcasts to the player this way.

Can't Find TV Shows and Podcast that I Downloaded

I just spent hours downloading TV shows and podcasts from iTunes directly on my ipad. The downloads all completed however now when I go to Video or Podcast, it says there are none.
How do I watch the shows I just downloaded?

Have you checked the Movies and TV Show tabs in the Movies App ?
Check the iPod app for Podcasts.
Check your iTunes account Purchase History to make sure the system says hey downloaded successfully.

Why Does IT Take SOOOOO Long To Get New Shows And Podcast Updates!!!!! It seems to me that it takes and unusually long time for TV shows to be uploaded to itunes and it takes FOREVER (VH1) to get Podcast updates. Also I notice that Vh1's Best Week Ever is a hit or miss deal. Some weeks it's on iTunes and some weeks it's not......why?

The iTunes store simply provides a link to the originating podcast server.
When the podcast owner puts a new episode up, it is available.

Watched TV Shows and Podcast Disappear from ATV

Is there a way to keep a copy on the ATV after you've watch the podcast or the episode. Looks like I'd have to resync the podcast\TV show after watching it just in case I want to watch it again. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing? My movies are still there after watching them but not the Podcast and TV Shows. Space is not an issue, I still have 90+GB free. Thanks!

isn't there a setting in iTunes > Preferences > AppleTV > Podcasts that lets you set how you want to the sync to happen for Podcasts? i.e. all, only unwatched etc, etc

Motorola car or wall charger for Zen Microph

We have a Zen microphoto and a zen micro, I have Motorola phones car and wall charger that have the same end that the USB cord that fits in the players have. Should these work to charge the MP3 player when not using the computer USB? When I plug one in the car it powers the player but the battery bars don't increase even after 24hrs charging. The lightning bolt shows over the battery symbol but it doesnt seem to be charging. Has anyone else been able to use these to charge their Zen. None of the strores arund here sell the proper accessories and we are going away I don't have time to wait for an online purchase to arri've.

Thank you for the reply. There is no amp info on the product ,it's packaging or hellomoto.com website but based on you response and what I'm seeing it is underpowered . I figured if they had the same tip that fit into the Zen it would work. I will order the Creative product from your website. Thanks again!

A recent album purchase / one song is showing a podcast for cover

I recently bought a album from itunes. Then the next day I downloaded a podcast.
After I watched the podcast, I listened to the album, when it got to the seventh song, I noticed that
the album cover for that song is showing a clip from the podcast and not the album.(But is playing the song)
All of the songs for that album show the proper cover. Anyone know how to fix this?

I fixed this by deleting the song and the podcast and then replaced it back into the ipod .

USB Mass Storage for Zen MicroPh

Is there a way now or plans for the Xen MicroPhoto to work as a USB Mass Storage device so I can plug it into any windows-xp box and copy mp3 files without any special software.
This is what I expected from Creative products and the main reason I stayed from the ipod and their itunes interface.

You were asking about UMS, and that's as good as it gets unfortunately. It's only designed for moving data files around, but it's better than nothing.
I don't use MediaPlayer at all so I'll try another system with v0 but it still doesn't do what it should. If it showed as a dri've letter then we could use whatever software we wanted to move files. Seems like a lot of the software questions here would go away.
It's shown as a device in Windows Explorer, and you can drag and drop. Doesn't get much easier than that. If you're using the v2 MTP firmware anyway this should always be present as it requires Windows Media Player 0.

Problems with support for zen microph

first, let me say i think the zen microphoto is great (my first mp3 player).
however i have tried, through this forum, the help lines and local duistributors to get to the bottom of the charging issue and noone can give a definiti've answer! i would have thought the question "can a zen microphoto be charged with any uni'versal USB wall cherger" is a simple one, but noone knows the answer!!!
so you ask all the stores that sell microphotos (by phoning approx 70 different stores from six different franchises), and they sell you four different kinds of uni'versal wall chargers, but none of them actually charge the device, yet when you return them they say they do work, but if they dont we dont know why. so you ask them how to get to the bottom of it and they say we dont actually know how to charge this product so call the help line.
so you call the help line, and the only answer you get is "we dont recommend anything other than the creative charger, and here are the distributors details", but they are incapable of answering the initial simple question.
so you call the distributors, who dont actually know what part to look for, and they say it doesnt matter anyway becasue we dont sell to the public and you should go to the stores that sell the zen microphoto!
so you ring the help line again, and they give you a different phone number to ring. so you ring it and they say yes we have the uni'versal power adaptor, but the only way to get them is to send a checque then we dispatch the goods! since when did economies and good sales companies revolve around sending cheques!!! not to mention if you did your still not entirely sure of if you get the right thing as they have no clue as to why there may be an issue.
and then you look for someone from creative to give some feedback to and theres no way of doing that either! so now i have an expensi've paperweight for my 3 week holiday next week as i cannot get a check of to the other side of the country (im in perth, western australia) and get the adaptor returned (via mail by the way, thats the only way we do it) before i leave. and surprise surprise i am not taking a computer with me on a 3 week motorcycling tour of the country.
Wake up creative, support your products properly, inform your customers of the restrictions on how to charge your devices without a computer, and the difficultis in sourcing said charging equipment, becaues it doesnt matter how good your mp3 players are if they cant be recharged easily. is anybody from creative listening?

no, it's a sad state of afairs, but the general flow in the electronics business is to make PSU's that matches your own power specs only, if they just happen to coincide with other products it's great, but not one company goes "we need to make sure people can charge their iPod and Zen players with the PSU for this discman"

I am trying to install an app. When I click install, my old gmail account shows and asks for my password etc but I have a new gmail account that is associated with my apple id. How can I get it to default to the new gmail?

Did you create a NEW Apple ID or did you change the email address for your OLD Apple ID? This will affect how you update apps in the future.
Anyway, go to Settings/iTunes&App Stores, log out, then log in with the new ID.

RE-Installing os for ZEN Microph

I never updated my firmware before and erased it from my Microphoto. I can't download drivers, new firmware, anything. HOW DO I RE-INSTALL the os/firmware to my Zen Microphoto!!!
Does anyone have any solutions...Pls.

If you chose "Reload OS" in Recovery/Rescue mode, then you should be able to load a firmware update to get that sorted again. What happens when you run the firmware update file? Do you get an error message?

USB Boot for Zen 7?

Has anyone tackled USB booting for Zen 7? I have seen, used and modified
for Zen 6.5 but not zen 7.

This worked great. In order to make sure that your usb is always
loaded first in the initrd file system there is a file that tell
linuxrc what to do: linuxrc.config . In that file is an option
SCSIbeforeUSB set to 1. Change that option to 0 and, voila your usb
drive will always be mounted as /dev/sda1.

Is there any way to edit the ZIS info when the machine is booted from USB? I cannot see the info already there, and any info I save is not really saved because when I boot to Windows and check it with ziswin it still shows the old data.
When I boot from a CD I can see the data (zisview).

Keeping a tv show or podcast as "new" once I've watched it.

How do I keep a tv show or a podcast as new (in case I want to rewatch a show or listen to a particular podcast again) on my iTouch/Nano once I've watched/listened to it? Example, once I've listened to a particular podcast, the next time I plug in my iTouch (or Nano for that matter), the podcast/tv show is removed from my iTouch/Nano even though I HAVE NOT deleted the actual podcast/tv show from my iTunes library/podcast list/tv show list. In itunes right click on the podcasts or tv shows, there will be an option to mark as new, or mark as not new. Also a option to set auto delete, or don't auto delete.
You may want to change your sync settings for tv shows and podcasts on the ipod. Plug the ipod into your computer, click on the ipod in the left hand source pane. In the main itunes window, select either the tv shows tab, or the podcasts tab, and change your sync preferences to something that suites you better. Good Luck.

Can't get my paid movies, tv shows, and music back onto my iPod

I paid for a few movies, tv shows and songs for my iPod, and then my computer broke. I needed to get it fixed and so i lost all of my data including the music and movie files. Is there anyway that I can get those already paid movie and music files back onto my iPod without having to pay for them again?

If the purchased items are on your ipod, I assume they aren't according to your post, you can connect the ipod or iphone to itunes.
Click no if a message comes up that this ipod is synced with another computer, would you like to sync with this computer?
At the top of itunes, click on file and choose transfer purchases.
Now if the purchased items are not on your ipod or iphone, contact the itunes store support and let them know what happened.

I found some resources that I think might help with the visibility of your IMAP email folders on your iPad and Mac.
On your iPad, you may need to follow the steps in this article to make sure your folders are visible:

On your Mac, I am not sure if you have the sidebar enabled, but you can enable it using the steps in the article below. When this is showing, you should see your email account listed near the bottom with a triangle next to it. When the triangle is pointing down, it should show your folders:
