TV Shows from Music Store have no audio for me...any fixes? I can't figure it out at all. And now that I check, things I encoded that used to work are also muted out. Hmmm...
EDIT: Ok, it has to be iTunes. They play on my iPod just fine...

Does the Music Store have a place for release dates on TV shows and videos?
Just wondering if they will have any idea when they will get new episodes of various shows they carry.I have heard it takes 24 hours for them to get them but I have come across about five shows that have episodes that are well over 72 hours and still not released.

I complained that they weren't getting my SG1 and SGA shows up on time. Anyway, I was an idiot for blasting them. We pay iTunes bills...not some advertisers...so they will deff get the shows out to us when they get them from the studios. Moreover, the email stated that they'll let sci fi (i'm assuming that's the network we're talking about here?) know to send those recent epps. BTW, I also posted this info on the sci fi board.

The Superdrive on my MacBook Pro ejects audio CDs just a few seconds after inserting them. This happens both with original audio CDs I have bought in music stores AND with audio CDs I have recorded myself, on the very same computer, via iTunes. The same does NOT happen with data CDs (e.g., stuff in mp3 format), which are read just fine. This behaviour started a couple of weeks ago, until then everything had worked just fine for years. I am running iTunes 11.1 under Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Any idea?

How can I download movie trailer from Music Store for iPod?
Movie trailers are produced to attract audience to see the film, so there shouldn't be any coryright issues. But why is it that I cannot copy and paste or download movie trailers from Music Store onto my iTunes and iPod? If Apple puts it on the Music Store, it expects people want to transfer it to their iPod. Sometimes just could not understand what these people think!
Thanks ALpinaoman, I am afraid things (and life in the world of Apple) are not as simple as you described it. First of all, some movie trailers - when they are played - do not have a little drop down menu arrow to the far right. Secondly, after transferring (i.e. saving) the movie trailer onto the iTunes on my iMac, only a few can be updated onto the iPod, most can't. The error message on the iMac is: "Some of the videos in you iTunes library, including the video "breakfastonpluto.ref" were not copied to the iPod because they cannot be played on this iPod. Click More Info to visit www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n301461 for more information on creating videos compatible with your iPod." What the xxxx is this ".ref" format? Why can't these stupid IT people sit down and agree on ONE format instead of MP4, MOV, AVi, WMV, asx etc etc etc.
I have used the video iPod for a month now and have all kinds of hurdles transferring video to the unit (easier for DVD, very difficult for VCD, got visual but no sound, etc etc). I have no idea how technically complex the whole thing was when I bought the iPod. I thought it was like recording your TV show on VCR which was low tech (well tech has advanced quite a bit since VCR was invented and tech was supposed to make life easier not more complicated). I guess I need to attend a one year training on computer engineering before I know how to use "user friendly" Apple products. -
what do i do when a audio book i purchased is not in purchased menu for re downloading for my account, or why cant i re download the book from iTunes store with out paying for it after support they told me i could.
i tried to re download a purchased audio book after i contacted apple support team for iTunes they said it would be ready for re download or they said id have to re download it from iTunes store i cant remember, so i tried both couldn't re download it from purchased menu and the book id have to re download from iTunes store costs money as if i have never purchased what do i do? I have bought 1 MacbookPor 17, 1 Macbook air, 1 MacbookPro 15 , 2 ipads, 3 iphones, and this iMac27 and 2 of iMAC24 or 20 not sure but I do not recall ever doing what you are telling me in your reply. When you get a extended car warranty, you don't sign up for it.. it is just there and is included in the sale. You don't buy this warranty to use it.. You buy it, in case something happens. Here a perfect iMAC with minimum 100 hour useage has a dead drive. That is not normal and I should not have to even be requesting anything since most MFG offer a 3-5 year warranty on their disc drives and I believe that is probably passed on to Apple regardless if an extended warranty is purchased or not. Customer service dictates a more flexible approach to make sure the lifetime value of a customer is not lost due to some misunderstanding.
I was in the MacStore that I purchased the unit..and they found and pulled the invoice and confirmed
the purchase of it in front of me. I had paid with credit card and fortunately it was there in their system. I do not also recall recieving any box or paper although most everything I ever get remains sealed.. I am not in the habit of opening anything since I have never encountered any serious issues before.
I have used my Macbookpro warranty 1 time and that is all throughout the years I have been investing in Apple equipment.
I just recieved a letter from the store asking me to get the paper to them so they can register it... I don't recall getting any paper actually. But I do have several boxes sealed here.. On this iMAC27, it was a hurry up and get it done thing and I don't remember taking anything extra with it. Regardless, my request does not seem unreasonable.

Are there unplayable mp3/aac?(except those from music store)
Hi. I've heard ppl complaining about unplayable music files that are downloaded from music store.
But what about the mp3 you already have on your hard drive, or the aac you rip from your own CD? Anyone ever see unplayable file(s) among them?
The only reason that is preventing me from buying the Shuffle is the fear that 'some' of my music will just never play for some possible reasons.(as happenned manytimes on my PDA)
And it's a great pain to check everyfile for their playability when there are 200-300 songs in the device.

/bowIt looks like the problem with unplayable songs from the iTunes Music Store has been fixed in today's iPod updater. At least it fixed the problem on my shuffle.

Want to download tunes from Music Store without upgrading to iTunes 7
I'd like to continue purchasing music from Music Store WITHOUT upgrading to iTunes 7, which my current version of iTunes instructs me to do before I can continue purchasing music.
Is there a way around this? In my view, if I want to purchase music from Music Store, I should be able to do so regardless of my current version of iTunes.

you HAVE to update because the itunes music store is no longer compatible with old versions they are now obsolite

I have created an apple id on my pc but when i'm trying to download free apps from itunes store it's asking for credit card information which i don't have, that's why i went through apple support there i found "if you don't have credit card then click on none option but the problem is there isn't any none option so plzzzz some help me?
If you have an existing ID, & you don't want to use a credit card, you'll have to redeem an iTunes gift card. If you don't want to do that, you'll have to create a new ID by following the directions here, EXACTLY:

When I am on iTunes, a bar that says "Accessing iTunes Store" comes up every few seconds. To continue shopping or play my music I have to wait for it to load to disappear, and it comes back immediately. It comes up whenever I click something. How can I get rid of this so I can continue shopping and playing music?
if you want to add songs they must be checked, put them in asong list as it makes them easier to manage

I have recently installed iTunes latest version (10.5.1.42) on Win XP SP3.
The problem is, when accessing iTunes, It connects to the internet, I can sign in (It shows my username in sign in bar), But nothing is shown in the iTunes store window in iTunes. It shows "accessing iTunes store..." for few seconds and after that its blank with an apple logo inside the status bar.
ANU SUGGESSION???Sorry, no. The screen image you see is specifically saying you need to connect it to a computer. You could take it to an Apple retailer for help.

I can send tv shows from my ipad to my apple tv without any issues. Why cant i do the same with a movie rental? Or how do i do the same with a movie rental?
Personally I think the iOS devices are poor at reconnecting - Airplay establishes that a link is available but when the iPhone/iPad has been away from the house and rejoins the network i think AppleTV already thinks it's connected with a different IP address and fails to recognise it has joined the network again with new credentials.
Something along those lines anyway.
I find that a combination of restarting AppleTV, router and iOS device tends to fix it, but not for everyone.

Thanks for your suggestion. I searched, found Protopage and am really liking it. I don't mind paying their subscription fee to banish ads and help them keep the project going. Funny thing is, I used to think one of these days igoogle would start charging me and, because I was so dependent on it, I'd pay. It never occurred to me that it would go away, just that I would find it expensive.
