Tv shows not showing on ipad in iOS 5

i have transferred tv shows from my imac to my ipad via itunes and all appears as it should on the itunes screen. the problem is that on my ipad there is no tv shows folder appearing, only a movies folder. when i change it back in itunes to a movie rather than tv show it then appears both on my itunes screen and ipad in the relevant place. any ideas why this is?

Heh, that's interesting. I usually drag and drop and then edit the metadata once it's on the device. Maybe there's some bug stopping the iPad getting the updated metadata correctly if done that way round.

The Photos app on iOS on the first gen iPad doesn't have any editing - you could potentially rotate them via a third-party app (e.g. the free Adobe Photoshop Express), but that will just save them back to the Saved Photos album

Song Ratings Not Working on iPad 2/iOS 5.0.11

I have an iPad 2 with latest firmware iOS 5.0.1.
I use song ratings. An album with multiple songs, can have different ratings for each song.
When I tap an album and check the back of it with the song list, usually the song that I pick to play off the back of the album cover should display right above the correct song rating assigned to it. Unfortunately this does not seem to be working. Instead whatever rating is displayed at the top is almost static and doesn't change with the songs that are being played. Also if a song is playing and I change the rating from 3 stars to 1 star, the 1 star is now always displayed even as I play different songs that have different ratings that I haven't altered.
I have an iPhone 4S with latest firmware iOS 5.0.1 as well, and this problem does not exist on the iPhone, so it seems to be iPad specific.
Is anyone else having this problem? Would anyone have any possible solutions or pointers?

I can see the acknowledgement that this issue will be fixed in the 'next' software update. Considering the original post was for an iPad 2 running 5.0.1, I am not sure if this issue on iOS 5.1 which runs on my new iPad (4G) is considered fixed. As I reported in my previous post it is impossible to update individual tracks. I also tried adding entire collection to a single playlist, shuffling the playlist. While shuffle is in progress, turning to the 'list' view that allows tracks to be rated does who the currently shuffled playlist and the currently playing track and assigns the rating to the track correctly. However, as soon as the second track plays, switching to list view (which displays the ratings) lists only the tracks from the currently playing track's album. Which is insane IMHO.
So, was this not fixed with 5.1 update? Or the iOS 5.1 will get it's own piece of update on this?

Bookmarks not syncing on iPad after iOS 4.3 update

I have the following problem since the iOS 4.3 update on 2 iPads and 1 iPhone 3GS. (no problem on iPhones 4)
If I attach device to iTunes and start syncing, everything seems synced except the bookmarks. I get either messages:
'iTunes could not sync bookmarks to the iPad "name" because an error occured while merging data.'
'iTunes could not sync bookmarks to the iPad "name" because the bookmarks are in use bu the iPhone.'
If I do a second sync - without stopping iTunes - the bookmarks are synced.
Any idea how to solve this ?

I have the same problem, but it was after buying a new Mac and setting up syncs. The bookmarks from the iPad disappeared and were not syncing through MobileMe, although it is working on my iPhone 4, so I turned of the MM sync and tried iTunes. After trying just about everything suggested in this thread (hard boot, clearing caches etc, shutting off all multi-tasking, getting rid of the Mozilla app, and so on) when I sync with iTunes I still get the message: "iTunes could not sync bookmarks to the iPad xxxx because the bookmarks are in use by the iPad."
How does one shut down whatever is using the bookmarks?

According to your profile you have an iPad with 5.1.
That is as high as the original iPad will go.
It does not support iOS 6.

Notes not working on iPad after iOS 6.1.3

After updating to iOS 6.1.3, Notes will not load on my iPad. When I click the icon, a blank note opens momentairly, then the app closes. Anyone else having this issue? It appears to be fine on my iPhone. Only the iPad seems to be affected.

Wallpaper scale not working on IPAD with IOS 7

After updating my IOS to 7 i cannot scale any wallpaper, it just doesn`t allow me to move, get it bigger or smaller, is there any response from apple about it? are they working on this issue? Since everyone with IOS7 on IPad is facing the same issue.

I"m sure it's on apple's to do list. However what you want and what they deem a priority may not be the same.
Users have two choices, wait for Apple to fix it or find a work around. Your wait may be weeks or months, it'll be rolled out if and when Apple decides to roll it out.
part of the issue does stem from the photos people are using. As screens get higher and higher resolution, the photos that are used need to also be of high resolution. 400 x 300 photos snagged off the internet just dont' do well on a display that is 2048-by-1536 resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi) (which is for the new air)

IMessage & FaceTime Not Working on iPad after iOS 6.0.1 update?

I have an iPad 16GB 3rd Generation and whenever I try to sign in with my Apple ID to Messages and FaceTime it pops up with "Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." I have tried so many things for this including resetting my network settings and creating a new Apple ID but my wifi connection works perfectly fine on safari etc but not on iMessage and FaceTime. Please Help?

My shortcut list is working but after a reboot or a hardware reset it stops to work as due.
I have to edit my list adding and deleting one entry to get it working again.

Imessage not working on iPad since iOS 7

Very frustrated.
Since the ios7 update my imessage and facetime on my ipad are not working, iphone is fine.
I have reset ipad , i have forgot device on wifi and reset it. Ive read all advice here and nothing works. It tells me to check my connection.
Im using my apple account ive always used im using the wifi i use on my phone , ive checked all my passwords etc etc etc
Now im just frustrated as dont know what else to do... Please help.

Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.

Bt sport not working on iPad Air iOS 8

It installs, I can enter my login details, accept it to use my location but that's it. It then just hangs with the bt background there. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, reset the ipad to no avail. I can't watch the live content via safari as it directs me to install the app, which isn't working.
Any ideas on a solution?

Working fine on my iPad air yesterday... With iOS 8..... I also used it before and after installing the 8.0.2 iOS update.

I know this is on all the forums - somewhere, but my iPad has been stuffed as far as iMessage is concerned since iOS 7 was installed. It receives OK, but when you try to send, the send ribbon gets to around the 80% mark and it stops. Nothing I do has made any difference. Reset all the cloud setting, verified my connection, but nothing.

Ok, so it's a known bug affecting a common function of Apple devices, right? Why the **** wasn't it checked before the release? And what the heck is taking so long? iOS 7 has been out a month now!
