TV shows on the iPod

I downloaded some episodes of a TV show from LimeWire. Then when I import them to iTunes, they come up in the movies section. So I clicked on "Get Info" and changed the type to TV Show. Now the episodes are in my TV Show section of iTunes. But on the iPod, there is no TV Show section, so I can't see the shows unless I click on a video playlist such as "Recently Added". I remember when I downloaded a free TV episode from iTunes store, I think there was a TV show section, but I delelted those free episodes. So can I make it so that on my iPod, it shows TV Shows, and I can click on that to see my TV Shows from iTunes? Thanks

On your iPod go to "Videos / Video Settings".
Then select "TV Out" and either set it to "off" or "ask".
Also, make sure you are accessing the video through the videos menu. If you have a video mixed in an audio playlist and you access it through that, you also won't be able to see the video.

From the iPod's Main Menu choose Videos -> Settings and make sure TV Out is set to Off.
Otherwise, try a hard reset as well.  To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

How do I get this to stop? re-uploading takes 4 hours and is never completed.  I only get some of the 6000+ songs I have. This started when I updated to IOS5 i think.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

  • Why the albuns artcover won´t show in the iPod?

I have tried everything already, from unistalling iTunes (twice) to looking over all the manuals and check boxes in iTunes, and yet, some of the album artcovers don´t show in the iPod after sycing checked musics. The weird thing is that it has happened out of the blue, once it was everything ok before. I have this new iPod Touch for over 2 months now and it´s very fustrating not to have the artcover in it since I spent a lot of time and patiance adding all the right artcovers to the albuns.

I am not that knowledgeable on ID but to start the discussion I would suggest you post where you are trying to view your PDF.  If you are viewing in Acrobat or Adobe Reader on a Desktop Client then there might be a problem.  But if you are trying to view on an iOS or Android device (or other mobile device) then that is the main cause as to why you can't view multimedia things and have interactivity.

  • I recently purchased a 7th Gen iPod nano which I have downloaded my music to. However, when I try to play this it is showing on the iPod as play but I am getting no sound through. I have checked the headphones and reset it. Any ideas?

Haha I had the exact same problem. Once I had tried it like 4 different pairs of headphones i was ready to give my iPod back. Then I tried pushing the headphones in further and proceeded to kick myself. I seems a lot of people have the same problem, post it on here and realise a few minutes later.

If it does cost me I would like to know how much and where could I get it replaced at or have it referbished??????

    Hi ErnieLane,
Your iPod's songs are "greyed-out" just because you are automatically syncing your iPod with iTunes. (that's how the auto-sync setting works).
To remove individual songs from your iPod by deleting songs from your iPod's "Music" library section in iTunes, you will need to be manually managing your iPod's content (note that first part of the sentence in the above quote).
This article might help with providing info on manually managing an iPod with iTunes:

I have been trying to restore my ipod touch for several weeks.  The ipod is on the usb-itunes screen but the computer will not recognize it.  I have tried three different laptops and am now very frustrated.  I have also tried several different usb connectors.

Try putting the iPod in DFU Mode vs. Recovery Mode.

  • If it shows on the TV it doesn't show on the IPOD screen

    FYI
It seems that once you turn on the tv out setting on the ipod (so you can see the picture on your tv) you won't see the movie on your IPOD. I can only guess that once you are done with TV viewing you have to turn the TV out setting off in order to use the IPOD as a video viewer again.
    Just what I am guessing.

This is mainly to save battery life. Why would you need to watch it in both places?
You can set TV Out to ask. This is how I have it. Every time you play a video, you an option comes up as to TV On or TV Off.

  • I got note saying "Are you sure you want to sync books? All existing songs, movies, and TV shows on the ipod will be removed"  what is wrong?

I can't get my manual i got in itunes to come up in ibooks on my ipod touch (4th Generation). I can't find any answer to what is happening here. I do have music in the ipod and don't want to lose it. I hope someone can help me with this.
I can see the manual in iTunes with my device selected and looking in Books. They are shown in grey, ( 2 manuals i have downloaded). " All Books" is selected under Sync Books. Sync Books is not selected because this is where the note above pops up if I check mark this.

  • Want to remove a podcast that shows on the ipod itself but doesn't appear in the library under itunes

I have a podcats on my ipod touch that doesn't appear in the podcast library that I want to remove.  Deleting all the podcasts & replacing them with new podcasts doesn't help.  Any ideas?

    Hi
Go to the apple.com to download the latest iTunes and ipod updater and install accorindingly, then do a Reset of your iPod i.e. Press "Menu"+"Select" keys. Connect it with your iBook and open iPod updater, hope it will allow you to do a Restore. If failed, then press "Select"+"Play" keys to put your iPod in Disk Mode, connect it back with your iBook, open the iTunes and you will able to see your iPod there. Then open the ipod updater and do a restore. You may need to do a few attempts in order to achieve the solution

  • HT1766 ive just bought a ipod off my cousin it has loads ov apps on and they worked until ive plugged it in to itunes now they are showing on the ipod but wont play can you help please

ive just bought a ipod off my cousin it had loads ov apps on it what worked but ive tried to manually sync it and now none will work can any1 helpthanks

The apps and other content on the iPod did not transdfer with the purchase of the iPod. The lience to use them remains with the original purchaes. You should connect the iPod to your computer and restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod and purchase and sync you own media.

  • Playing TV shows on the IPod.

I have downloaded a TV show thru Itunes to my 5th Gen. IPod, but the video won't play. Only the audio. Any ideas?

On your iPod go to "Videos / Video Settings".
Then select "TV Out" and either set it to "off" or "ask".
Also, make sure you are accessing the video through the videos menu. If you have a video mixed in an audio playlist and you access it through that, you also won't be able to see the video.

  • Should iTunes Artwork show on the iPod?

I have the new iTunes 7.0.1.8 (for Windows XP Home) and my iPod has version 1.2 (formated for Windows of course) and it shows album covers I dragged into an MP3, but none that were downloaded with the new iTunes feature.
Is it supposed to show them on my iPod or just in iTunes? If it's not supposed to show them on my iPod then why not?

A lot of what are from the iTunes Store?
Your post doesn't make much sense really. Where did you get the songs from?
If you purchased them from the iTunes Store, then the artwork should have come with the song when you downloaded it.
But since you have not specifically stated that you have purchased from the Store, my question is have you downloaded songs from a different store or from yet another source? If so, did that source undertake to provide artwork?
Have you imported these songs from your own CDs?
MP3 files from other sources, such as (legally obtained) downloads from artist websites etc. do not always have artwork imbedded in them.
Amazon MP3 songs do have the artwork embedded. I assume other MP3 stores also provide the artwork. But then, assumptions are not always correct.
Songs that you import from your CDs do not have the artwork embedded in the CD version. The artwork is obtained for you by iTunes - if you have the setting turned on (see in iTunes, Edit/Preferences/General>>When you import a CD>>automatically download missing artwork) In this situation, if artwork is not supplied, it may be because iTunes doesn't have (legal) access to that artwork. In other words, they don't sell the album, so are unable to supply the artwork. In that case, a simple Google of the album should find the artwork which you can then copy into the album in iTunes.
As a last resort, I use my printer's in-built scanner to scan my CD cover and then paste that into the album's artwork box.
If I haven't answered your question, it's because you haven't supplied enough information.
