TV shows stopping for no reason

I have a problem with tv shows stopping for no reason on the iPod Touch. First the sound disappears, and then the show stops and I get booted back to the main menu. This has happened with four completely different tv shows. I never had this problem with the 5th gen. What is going on?

No this is different. I am not pushing the home button. I will be in the middle of watching a video, and first the audio will stop while the video continues for a few more seconds, and then I will suddenly be bounced back to the main menu. No buttons pushed. Like it's crashing or something.

My entire iCloud mail system is messed up. I have worked on this for days. It works sometimes after I restart my computer and then just stops for no reason. In addition when the mail stops it refuses to let me reboot my iMac. Any ideas?

I'm praying somebody here has an idea to help me. iCloud has suddenly gone nuts on my iMac. It works only when it wants to work and then stops for no reason. Playlist(s) stop for no reason

I have a couple playlists where at the end of different songs, the ipod stops for no reason - doesn't go to next song. I know that the entire list hasn't played yet and there is no max. set for number of songs.
Any clues?

There is a firewall on my AIX 5.2. The EM uses the port 5500 as the connection. After emctl stop dbconsole/emctl start dbconsole, the error message disappeared. I need to check my JRE on the AIX. my colleague reported me something related to the JRE. Does anyone know how to verify the environement of JRE on AIX 5.3 run by Oracle? There are some log and trc files in the $ORACLE_HOME/$host_sid/sysman/log associated with the monitoring the conditions of the JAVA in Oracle. Does anyone how to interpretate the info about those file?

HTTP SERVICE STOPS FOR NO REASON AND NO ERRORS IN LOGS WIN2K

The HTTP service stops for no reason and we have to stop and restart to unlock and web server runs again. It appears to be related to number of concurrent users but we cannot tie it down to and specfics except on our NT 4.0 system the service never stops and runs fine . We are running versions R1 patch 4 and have gone up to 5 and 7 . We are running against an 9i database and using forms and reports. We are not using the forms server in patch 4 just the HTTP service. This is a big problem and would like an answer if possiable.

Print jobs stopping for no reason

Hi,
For some reason print jobs simply stop when sent to server print queues. The client queue shows "Connecting to 192.168.1.201 at port 631..." when the job is sent, then it halts & the job sits in the queue.
I've tried recreating the queues by deleting the printers from the server system prefs, adding them in again (as both LPD and IPP) by specifying their IP addresses. Does it matter what I spec for the queue name? Is it better to use the default or something that matches
There's some suspicious stuff in the print service log (see below), such as "shared == 0" for each of the queues & the final "master LPR sharing state = 0" after rebooting the server. If these are the culprits, how do I change the sharing state?

today to test the data in our disaster recovery server for which we have log shipping every 30minutes we started the server in sap level during the process we can see that work +disp status is showing stopped.when i checked the log files in work directory it is showing below errors.

you should be sure if user SAPINPDB exists in the database system and it is mapped to the SAPINPDB user of the DB.... this if you use SQL Server, but the rule should be something like this in other DB systems!!!

Video questions - Play back stops for no reason...

I created a FLV file via the Flash Video Encoder that comes
with Flash. I then uploaded it to my server and when I play it in
my file, it stops at a specific point. I am not sure why it is
doing that. How can this happen, and how can I get rid of that?

I'm having the exact same problem - Music will usually play fine, but sometimes it will just stop mid-song for no reason. When you hit "menu" it is still on the selected playlist and the Apple TV behaves normally.
If I re-start the playlist the problem doesn't usually happen again.
No other problems with wireless connection (streaming video and YouTube never stall or quit playing) and my computer is currently set to never go into sleep mode.
I have noticed that sometimes music play will cut out for a second and then resume playing for a bit, but then it usually stops completely a short time later.
Seems like it might be having trouble buffering music, but that doesn't make a lot of sense as it will stream HD video with no problems.

How do I get my songs back on the Music app. It shows iradio for some reason.

If you have a radio station selected, select the red arrow at the top left to return to the available radio station selections.
At the bottom will be what you have available there for the Music app or iPod selections - music, playlists, artists, etc.

Mail Service Keeps Stopping For No Reason

Hi There everyone. Over the past few days my Mail Service keeps stopping. Not giving any particular error, the only clue is this log message:-

Is that helpful? I can start the service again and it seems OK... for a few hours then it stops again.

Log and transfer stops for some reason

I just upgraded to FCE 4.0.1.
I am trying to Log and Transfer video that is AVCHD 720 30p.
I have FCE "easy setup" set to "HDV-Apple Intermediate Codec 720p30". I assume this is correct?
When I select a clip in Log And Transfer, put my in and out points, and choose "add clip to cue", the cued clip begins transferring and exactly 10 seconds later it just stops. I tried to start over with a new project and it keeps happening. Log and Transfer just stops. No injesting.
And there are no clips showing up on my scratch disk.
Help?

The AVCHD 720 30p was the camera info I was given.
I can't open the .MTS files with Quicktime or mpeg StreamClip so I'm unable to get any info from them.
When I select "get info" on the .MTS files (in a folder called "Stream", the attached screenshot shows this:

I have a gen 1 ipod touch. Yesterday it began stopping for no reason at all.

My ipod touch is stopping after playing for a few mintes. These are items that I have downloaded and are playing, not streaming

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

ITunes stops for unknow reason

I am using iTunes to play background music via a radio station. I am not sure why, but very often the music stops and I see the message "rebuffering" and then it starts again. Worse, sometimes iTunes just stop playing for good and you have to manually restart it.
Any ideas?

Rebuffering messages usually come from congestion in the Internet between your system and the streaming server or problems in the server itself. You can try increasing the size of the streaming buffer in iTunes Advanced preferences. Sometimes that helps.
As to why it just stops, that's harder to say. It may be hitting a long delay and just timing out. Or the station may kick users off from time to time; some do, though not too many.
If you only listen to one station most of the time, you might try a different station and see if the same things happen when using a different source.
