Just recently my atv2 has begun taking hours to load and nothing that I'm aware of has changed Netflix streams just fine, it's only the iTunes purchases that take forever any clue as to what could have changed?

Verify that your speed hasn't changed (www.speedtest.net). Netflix adapts to your connection whereas iTunes is more dependent on a fast network since it starts once enough has loaded and content is fixed-rate
8mbps needed for instant 1080p
6mbps for 720p
Check for interference (istumbler or netstumbler)
Ensure you are using your ISPs DNS

WRT54GS2 - Page taking too long to load?

Recently our Internet Service Provider turned our internet back on. About a day or two after using the internet, I've been noticing problems with slow internet connection. At times it will load fast, and other times it'll take a little bit too long to load.
For example, I had a couple tabs open this morning and tried to get on a website in a different tab. The page was taking so long to load that it gave up and I got the message "Unable to connect to the Internet".
But I have internet.
On my taskbar, there's an icon in the bottom right corner showing that I have internet connection.
Other times I'll try to load a page and it's just blank, and in the corner of the page's tab, there's just an icon of a white sheet of paper followed by the web title.
How come some pages are taking too long to load and others are loading just fine?
Additional detail if it helps:
I unplugged the power cord from my router and plugged it back in to try and fix it and that didn't work.
My second and third attempt, I refreshed my router. Still nothing.
Also, I have a secure network, password protected.
There have been no severe storms recently that could have messed with the router.
What can I do to fix this issue of a slow loading page?

Hi ashtonlevry, it looks like your router has a messed up settings right now. That could be because you had it on stand by for a while since you said that your ISP has just turned your connection back on.
It's actually best for you to just reset the device back to the default settings and reinstall it afterwards.
To do the proper reset :
1. Press and hold the reset button at the back of the router for 30 seconds while the device is on.
2. Release the button and unplug or power off the device.
Once done, reinstall the settings.

Movies rented on Apple TV aren't transferable to another device. If its taking awhile to load then its an issue with your network.
What is your speed via speedtest.net
1080p requires 8mbps
720p needs 6mbps
You can change to SD in settings
Interference can cause issues, verify via istumbler or netstumbler
Should be using ISPs DNS (settings - network - DNS should be automatic)

The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
1080p HD movies require a recommended speed of 8 Mbps, 720p HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.

R/3 Extraction taking too long to load data into BW

HI There,
I'm trying to extract SAP Standard extractor 0FI_AP_4 into BW, and its taking endless time.
Even the Extract checker RSA3 is taking too long to execute the data. Dont know why its taking so long to execute.
Since there in not much data to take such a long time.
Enhanced the datasource with three fields from BSEG using user exits.
Is that the reason why its taking too long? Does User Exit slows down the extraction process?
What measures i should take to quicken the process?

Thanks for all you replies.
Please go through the steps I've gone through :
- Installed the Business Content and its in version 3.5
- Changed the update rules, Transfer rules and migrated the datasource to BI 7
- Enhanced the 0FI_AP_3 to include three fields BSEG table
- Ran RSA3 and the new fields are showing but the loading is quite slow.
- Commented the code and ran RSA3 and with little difference data is showing up
- Removed the comments and ran, its fine, though it takes little more time then previous step...but data is showing up
- Replicated the datasource into BW
- Created the info package and started the init process (before this deleted the previous stored init process)
- Data isn't loading and please see the error message below.
Diagnosis
The data request was a full update. In this case, the corresponding table in the source system does not
contain any data. System Response Info IDoc received with status 8. Procedure Check the data basis in the source system.
- Checked the transformation between datasource 0FI_AP_4 and Infosource ZFI_AP_4
and I DID NOT found the three fields which i enhanced from BSEG table in the 0FI_AP_4 datasource.
- Replicated the datasource 0FI_AP_4 again, but no change.
Now...I dont know whats happening here.
When i check the datasource 0FI_AP_4 in RSA6, i can see the three new fields from BSEG.
When i check RSA3, i can see the data getting populated with the three new fields from BSEG,
When i check the fields in the datasource 0FI_AP_4 in BW, I can see the three new fields. It shows
that the connection between BW and R/3 is fine, isn't it?
Now...Can anyone please suggest me how to go forward from here?

My macbook pro is taking too long to load

I recently droped my macbook and had to have the hard drive replace. I just got it back, but its taking much longer to load. There is now a light blue screen first, then it swithches to another blue screen with an apple symbol with that thinking circle thing, followed by a darker blue screen with an arrow in top right corner. Then it finally loades. What is Wrong with my macbook?

Check the Startup Disk in System Preferences and make sure your HDD is selected.
Does this happen everytime you re-boot?

Taking too long to load

I just got a refurbished iPod 4g. When I try to connect to iCloud, it says it 'cannot connect to server' and when I try to access iMessage it tries to load the country/region I am in... for a very very long time. I have not been able to get any further in these programs that the 'loading' or 'cannot connect' screen.
Any way to fix these loading problems, or do I just have to wait it out?

well I doubt you are able to speed it up (aside from taking a faster computer ).
And you didn't say what exactly is "too long" !?
This message only shows the last loaded item.
Maybe LabView is busy with initializations like checking 'VISA resource names'. This may take a while (especially when scanning GPIB or other communication buses for devices) and you just have to wait for finishing this step...

DTP taking too long to load data

Hello
I want to know what performance relarted setting can we do when it comes to a DTP load. I have read some notes and most of them says that if the load is a huge volume of data then you should try increasing the Background processes of the DTP and semantic groups etc.
What i have noticed is that each DTP is having a defaulted value of 3 as background processes. Now if i change this to 5 what can be the impact. Is it advisabe to change this.
The DTP has transfered records 17219409 and added records 4717473. Please can somone suggest what can be other performace activities that can be checked as this load is nearly taking 4 hrs to load data to a DSO.

All right Tom,
Yes I would defiantly increase the number of background process. This could have an impact on user performance as the more background processes you add, the more dialogue processes will be removed.
But for instance say you do the load during the night when there are no users you can remove all dialogue processes and say have 12 background processes which should load the data faster.
If you need to load the data during the day analyse how many dialogue processes are free in on average and adjust accordingly.
I have found if you reduce the package size often increases data loads.

Help, my site is taking too long to load in Adobe Muse!

Hi, I built my client's site in adobe muse. All images are optimized, fonts are web safe. It's pretty bare bones but it is taking long to load. When I test it it will take 15 seconds to load if at all then an hour later all links load fine. I have tested on 3 different computers, 2 different internet connections, 2 macs and one PC. Any ideas on what would cause it to fluctuate back and forth. I clear the cache and it does the same thing. The site is tanglee.com
I would appreciate any guidance on this.

Mac Mail taking too long to load incoming mail

It's been taking a very long time for Mail to load my emails for the past few weeks. I tried updating to Maverick, but that did not help. I also deleted a ton of emails--didn't help. My largest inbox (I have five, but only one has many messages) is now at 50% capacity, but the problem has not lessened. The incoming mail prompt usually says something like, "Loading 110 of 125 emails," and after 15 minutes or more it will load 1-2 new messages. I don't really understand what's going on anymore--there seem to be a lot of folders, my Sent folder is showing unread emails (?). I don't know the function of Archive--tried to export all those to a folder on my harddrive so I could delete them, but that didn't work.
Help! The constant processing is slowing down my entire system with slow payoff from Mail and is driving me nuts!

P.S. I have had no success Rebuilding, and cannot find the Terminal application on my computer.

Transaction is taking too long to load

Whenever i try to access PPOSE it takes a very long time to load. I also noticed that in the selection area of PPOSE there is already an Org Unit loaded. Is there any way that I can clear this default Org Unit that shows up? Also how can I reduce the time for transaction PPOSE to load? Your help would be highly appreciated!

If you do not want the variants to be deleted do not check the box "Delete search variants" and the variants will be remain.
You can also check transaction PPOM_DEL as well and choose the box - delete last object selection or as per your requirement.

All of a sudden I'm unable to view attachements (photos) in hotmail. It sits at "if it's taking too long, click here" for up to half an hour.

Java Plug-In taking too long to load

Is there a setting or script etc to load Java Plug-in quicker or at startup?
We have identified that loading of the Java Plug-in required by an in house application as the cause of the delay (about 13 seconds are added due to the loading of the plug-in). Is there a way for us to safely and non-intrusively cache the Java Plug-in in the browser / load it at startup? Any assistance would be appreciated.
We are using 1.4.2_07JRE but have had the same results with 1.5.0_06.

all times, including across machine reboots, so that
the initial application launch in the day doesn't
take as long?Across a reboot there is NO way that you are going to keep something that runs in the browser "loaded".
So skipping that point.....
The browser runs a VM.
Every instance of the VM (browser or not) loads everything (in terms of the VM itself) when it starts up.
The only variation for this is with 1.5 where the core API is only loaded once for all running instances (at least one must be running.)
There are two possibilities for the difference you are seeing.
1. The browser keeps the VM running for some time. The browser shuts it down after inactivity (and definitely after a reboot.) Thus the VM load time is what you are seeing.
2. The browser keeps a copy of something cached in the hard drive for some time. After that time it is removed and must be refetched (and re-cached.) I have no idea what that something is.
If it is the first case then there might be a hidden attribute somewhere in the browser that might impact this. If you can find it then you might be able to change it. It might either be part of the browser or part of the installed part of the VM that the browser interacts with.
If the second then it would require changing cache attributes to increase the time between refreshes.
It is unclear to me by what you mean by "Sun Java Plug-in needs to get loaded." but that certainly could be because I know nothing about it. The technology itself is part of the JRE and presumably you are using it to load something of your own or something besides that which came with the JRE.
Did you try loading a do nothing plug in and it takes that extra time? If so then one solution would be to load the plug in in a separate thread while the user is doing something else. That of course depends on what your plug in needs to do.

My custom javascript interface/dialog in photosohp is taking too long to load, draws empty window sometimes. How can I get it to wait?

I have a long script that loads a lot of variables and icons.
Unfortunately it sometimes just draws an empty window.
I've been working around it by putting a break in before it draws the window, and then I step over and it displays fine.
I've added a $.sleep of 25000, but that seems to not work too well. Not sure its doing anything.
I've split the code into a few scripts and I've had them as one giant script. No difference.
I'd appreciate some ideas/solutions on this topic as I'm feeling like I'm out of ideas.

There are bugs in ScriptUI that Adobe needs to fix perhaps you have run into one. I know the Paul and X have reported bugs to Adobe... Try asking in the scripting forum...Photoshop Scripting

Certain "sites" taking too long to load - spinning wheel

To clarify, I'm not talking about "sites" that are live on the web, but rather the "sites" that you can select in the files dropdown menu. Almost all of them load instantly, but one in particular takes the better part of 20 minutes or more to load when I select it. I get the spinning beach of of death for a loooong time. Once it does load, everything works fine.
I've uninstalled Dreamweaver CC, and reinstalled, but the issue still exists.
I'm using OS X Yosemite, V 10.10.1 on a MacBook Pro.

Thank you, Jon and Nancy! Creating a new site definition didn't exactly do the trick, but it led me down the right path... After creating the new instance, I noticed that it took ages to rebuild the site cache. Disabling that in the site's advanced settings took care of the problem. I didn't think the site was particularly huge, but couple of the WordPress plugins seem to contain a large number of files.
In conclusion, the spinning wheel seemed to be caused by Dreamweaver attempting to rebuild the site cache, even though it never showed a progress bar or message indicating that.
