TV Toshiba regza no picture in DTV

   Hi
I have a Toshiba Tv 32A3032D and failed me a software update, the result is that television is blocked and will not let me access the DTV menu to reset it.
Could you give me the files with a firmware version to carry out the recovery of the TV through a Pcmcia?
Thanks and regards

That doesn't appear to be a US model, and this is the forums for Toshiba USA. You may want to contact Toshiba in your region.

  • Can't see full picture on Toshiba Regza 42HL67 TV with HDMI

    Hi,
I have a Toshiba Regza 42HL67 TV.  When using the HDMI connection between my cable box, I have Comcast HD cable with a Scientific Atlanta 8300HD digital box, the TV doesn't display the whole picture within the screen.  For example, watching a baseball or football game, the TV doesn't display the score section for the game as it is outside the screen.  I have tried changing the picture size by selecting all of the different sizes available but no luck.  If I switch to standard A/V cables, it's not an issue.
    Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance,
    Jeff

If changing the pic size on the TV doesn't help, you might also check if the cable box has picture size settings. If not, you should call customer support.

  • Toshiba Regza 42rv530u - no picture

Hey all...was hoping you could assist me with an issue. My Toshiba Regza 42rv530u flat screen recently stopped displaying an image. The TV functions fine otherwise - meaning that I can turn it on and flip through cable channels and hear the shows playing, I just can't view anything - the screen is just black. The LED is a steady green. Does anyone know what the issue could be, or could you point me in the right direction? I'm trying to see if this is a quick, cheap "do it yourself" fix or if I should just get a new TV. Thanks in advance. Jason

I'd first try turning it off and unplugging it from power for a few minutes. Afterward, reconnect the power and try again. If the problem persists, it would seem to be a hardware issue. You'd need to seek servicing. Unfortunately, I'm unable to recommend a home repair.

  • Mac Mini on Toshiba Regza Z3030 42" via DVI- HDMI

    Hello,
I'm trying to connect a Core2Duo Mac Mini (running 10.4.11) to a 42" Toshiba Regza Z3030 Full-HD TV via a DVI-HDMI cable. The TV does 1920x1080 (both i and p), but when I select 1920x1080 (interlaced) from the display resolution menu in System Preferences, I get a black frame around the image that is twice as large on the right side of the picture than it is on the left or top/bottom sides (so even if I enable overscan, the picture is not acceptable, as it's missing a strip of the desktop on the left, top and bottom sides then).
I'm running the TV on "Exact Scan" mode, which (according to the manual), should display a 1080 signal exactly the way it is received from the source, no stretching or scaling at all.
Incidentally, the grey screen with the Apple logo and the spinning progress indicator fills the screen completely in 1080i, but as soon as the login panel comes up, the picture gets the black bars, so I think it's a MacOS X issue. Can I somehow tell the Mac not to switch the display settings after the booting process is finished, as the image during the boot process is perfect?
Any hints on what I could try?
    Thanks in advance,
    Georg

Ok, I decided to take some more time and googled for how SwitchResX actually works and what all the settings in the "custom resolution" view mean. I stumbled across a very useful tutorial in this forum thread: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=751713
Following these instructions (basically, I just had to play with the "front porch" and "back porch" parameters until the image was perfectly centered), I ended up with a custom resolution in which the image is centered, but still has black bars around it.
Next, I simply turned on "Overscan" in the Display preferences while setting the TV's HDMI port input to "Exact Scan", meaning it will display the image exactly the way it comes over the HDMI port, without extra scaling.
With this combination, I now ended up with a picture that fills the whole screen and has (according to a test image) a "1 to 1" pixel mapping. Also, for some reason, this new resolution that I made myself rather than taking the values off the internet "sticks" between sleep and wake cycles as well!
For some reason, though, the TV only reported that it supports 50Hz vertical sync in 1080p when I used the "Export DDC" function in SwitchResX, even though according to the manual it also does 60Hz (and the default 1920x1080, 60Hz resolution from the Display preferences works as well). Therefore, I was only able to make my custom resolution for 50Hz, as I need the values from the DDC export as a starting point.
I only want to use this Mac Mini/TV combination as a media center for movies and music streaming via iTunes, so I guess it won't make any difference wether I'm running it at 50Hz or 60Hz?
Anyways, I hope this thread might help other people with the same TV who are having similar problems with their Mac Minis.

  • Toshiba Regza 32AV605pg

    Hey,
I have a MacBook Pro 15 mid 2012 (with Anti-Glare Display if this makes a difference) which I use with a Toshiba Regza 32 AV605PG. I use a MiniDisplayPort to HDMI Cable which supports 1080p, LPCM, DTS Digital, Dolby Digital ...
The problem is that the screen is very pixelated. I want to use the screen for my home recording/production studio. It is ok for watching a movie on it. Unfortunately, because of the quality of the picture it is hard to read texts etc. on the TV and also looking at it is very tiring for my eyes. Therefore, it is not suitable for that purpose at the moment. It would be really great if it would work as it fits in my studio setup perfectly. I checked the sharpness, connected 2 other MBs (Air, other MB Pro), but it seems to be the same? On my MBP Iuse the 1080i setting (TV is optimized for that), everything else wouldn't make sense as I could use my MBP's screen for that. Could it be the cable? I don't have other cables here, so it's hard for me to check that. I don't really know what else I could do?!
    Any hints or tipps?
    Thank you very much
    Kai

The label is switching to "Regza Link"? Can you tell me the model number of the TV?

  • Toshiba Regza fades to black

I have a 42" Toshiba Regza about five years old.  Recently, when I turn it on the picture shows for a second and then fades to black.  The audio still works during this time.  I turn it off and on a few times and finally the picture stays.  Anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?  I've unplugged and replugged everything with no luck.  Thanks!

I'm not sure what would cause this, but you may want to reset the TV to factory settings if that's an option in the menu. Then (even if it isn't an option), turn the TV off and unplug it from power over night. If the problem persists, it may need servicing.

  • Toshiba Regza does not display PC connected through HDMI

I live in a flatshare in which there is a Toshiba Regza in the living room.
This television is connected to a Virgin Media V Box through an Xbox HDMI cable.
I tried using the same cable to connect the tv to my laptop, which has a HDMI port, but nothing shows up on the screem.
I checked in yhe Nvidia control panel and on the computer's screen settings: the Toshiba-TV is successfully recognized, so why I cannot see anything?
The V Box is usually tuned on the HDMI-1 channel, but all I see there is a blue screen. Same on HDMI-2.
The PC channel is instead black.
Can somebody please help and tell me what I am doing wrong?

    What model is the TV?

  • 32" Toshiba Regza - can i used digital to analog optical audio converter?

    32AV700A - 32" Toshiba Regza
Can I use digital to analog optical audio converter?
My objective is not to use LCD TV internal speakers as it's really bad since the the speakers are on the back. If i use the digital optical cable and plug in to the converter, can all my DVD and other devices connected to the LCD TV play to 1 external audio source instead internal speakers?

    Thanks for the suggestion.
I got a bit more noise but still no coherent sound.
    What next?

  • Toshiba 32RL958 - Overall picture quality worse after software update

Is there any way to install previous version of firmware on Toshiba 32RL958?
I need back from 7_0_28_16_1-b to 6.9 or even install new firmware for this model

Can you describe what happened to the picture quality? I opened [this Thread|http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=77852|Toshiba 32RL958 - Overall picture quality worse after software update] regarding crippled pictures on TL838 after the latest firmware upgrade.
I'm having the phenomenom that video from HDMI input is broken and at the moment it looks as if 1080p/60Hz is affected. (Switching to 50Hz on a device that supports frequency changing helped.) Also the TV overlay menus are broken when using HDMI. Normal cable TV seems unaffected.

  • Toshiba Regza 37XV625D - audio distortion

In other places I'm finding a good description of our problem, which is that every so often (between an hour and a day) the audio becomes garbled when using satellite. Stopping and starting the satellite box solves the problem. The satellite guy said it might be to do with the hdmi cable (which is short and not the cheapest sort).
Other places on the internet describing the same problem say that a firmware upgrade from Toshiba did it for them, but as far as I can tell there isn't one for our Regza 37XV625DF.
    Is there?
    All suggestions received gratefully.
    Thanks
    Steve
PS: we also lose the picture and sound from satellite sometimes (screen goes blue), not connected to sound distortion as far as I can tell. Powering down the tv (proper mains switch not the standby) generally fixes it. The satellite guy said specifically this is a toshiba issue. Any ideas please?
PPS tried changing hdmi cable, tried swapping inputs, problem re-occurs.

    > audio becomes garbled when using satellite Stopping and starting the satellite box solves the problem.
Im not an expert but from my point of view this issue is related to the satellite topbox (reciever) rather than your TV.
In your case I would try and test another topbox.

  • Connected hp g56 notebook to toshiba regza tv but no sound..please help! : )

Hi, I'm trying to connect my g56 notebook to my tosiba regza tv.
I have managed to get the picture fine using a vga cable but with no sound. After a bit of research and asking questions i was told to get a jack to rca (red and white) cable , connect the jack to my headphone port on the laptop and the rca to the corresponding ports on the tv. Did this and there's still no sound coming out of the tv!
Do i need to download a special driver or something to make the sound come out of the tv or is it better to go buy an hdmi cable?
Any advice would really be appreciated!!
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
A VGA output is only capable of carrying a video signal - I would strongly suggest what you mention yourself and get an HDMI cable to connect to your TV.  There's no need to buy a top end cable, just a stanadard HDMI cable is fine - I've never found any difference in the output quality.

    Hello Pete
As you can see this is Toshiba computer forum and I don't believe you will find many people here who want to discuss about Toshiba LCD TV.
Anyway, if the TV is new and with valid warranty the best option for you is to contact service people and let them check your new TV.

  • Toshiba Regza 47" LCD via VGA adapter

I'm plug the Mac into the TV via the PC VGA connection. I can see the video picture while the computer turns on but after it's on I get unsupported video signal on the screen. Any suggestins?

Since you see the video initially, another option would be to boot in Safe Mode (by holding down the Shift key during startup as soon as you hear the chime) and then once booted, pick a better video setting from Apple Menu > System Preferences > Displays.
In some cases, you might have to use a third-party utility like SwitchResX to generate a custom resolution and timing.

  • What kind of wireless bridge would work with Toshiba Regza HDTV & Toshiba Blu-ray DVD Player?

What will provide wi-fi to Toshiba DVD player connecting using an ethernet cable, giving an internet connection.

Thank you for this answer. I have another clarifying question for you as I am a wet behind the ears newbie at this. Does this mean that my 2 Wire DSL modem will be acting as the router that you mention? If yes, it would seem that this would also allow me to watch NetFlix movies from my computer on my Toshiba HDTV-correct possibly?
