TV Tuner -- A720 questions

My wife purchased an A720 which is being shipped to us. I see it supposedly comes with integrated TV tuner.
How is the TV tuner set up? Is there a coax in port? Does it include an IR blaster for a cable box?

I just took delivery of my A720 and so far I'm less than impressed. My biggest annoyances are that of the 3 usb ports - all but one are at the back of the base -- so not easily accessible.
The second is that the TV tuner is rubbish. Quite a few channels aren't really watchable - they break up constantly. (And yes, I know it's the PC's fault - as it replaces a Sony Vaio all in one that used the same aerial and cables and receives all Freeview channels perfectly.) I've tried adding in a booster but no luck.
Really disappointing.

I Tunes General Question

Hi,
Have recently purchased an I phone 4,have installed I tunes,have ripped a CD using I tunes and the tracks are shown in "Library Music" but when I try to drag the tracks into "My Device" it wont let me,any advice please,Tartdog.

Did you go to the page linked by *Mac on Andy?* If not, do so now and then follow the steps below.
1. Connect your iPhone to iTunes.
2. On the left hand side of iTunes, click on the device <name> and you should see the Summary screen shown on page 1 of Andy's link. It's this page - http://ipod.about.com/od/iphonehowtos/ss/syncing_iphone.htm and the picture.
2. At the top of that picture, notice the tabs, *Summary, Info, Music, Photos, Podcasts, Videos.* Your list maybe in a different order and may show other options, but look for Music - select Music.
3. You should now see the screen shown in the picture on page 3 - http://ipod.about.com/od/iphonehowtos/ss/syncingiphone3.htm. (The page is called +Syncing music to iPhone.)+
4. To add all the music in your library, select *Sync music/All songs and Playlists.* Or if you only want to add selected playlists, choose the option below that - *Sync Music/Selected Playlists.*
5. Having made your choice, click on the Apply button (or possibly it may say Sync instead) for the music to be added. You only need to do this once, not every time you Sync. Note the instructions on that page, which mention that on the iPhone, music syncing is not done until you make these choices. On the iPod Touch, syncing music is already set on.

Tune Tools Question

I bought the software "Tune Tools for Ipod" a few days ago and used this to transfer my songs/videos etc from my ipod to my new laptop I received as a Christmas gift. I have all the songs/videos now sitting in itunes, but now I can't get them from itunes back onto my ipod. It's like my ipod refuses to update to the new library. Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's driving me crazy.

I tunes account question...

Hi there, I recently gave my partner my old 3GS i phone. unfortunately she changed the email address of my itunes account and in short I cannot find my old itunes account.
I have used the iforgot tool online and couldnt even find my old account. I therefore went ahead and set up the account under my old e mail.. so far so good..
However I have now noticed on my ipad that when I have updates for apps it tells me 'cannot connect to thte store'
I also have 100's of movies, TV shows and music under my old account, but if the e mail address is the same will it recognise them as the same account or will the DRM not allow me to view them/listen to them?

Since iOS devices will start playing tracks from iCloud as they download and will store them so that you can listen to them later, is there a way to remove them from my IPhone after listening so that I still have space on my hard drive?

You can delete a song directly from your iPhone by swiping from right to left over the song:
Remove a song that’s been downloaded. Swipe left, then tap Delete.

Bought tunes, can't play them... ?

I bought 4 CD's, downloaded them, burned them. I can see them on the CD, they have the right meg size files. They won't play on the computer, or in a CD player.
I also dumped all 4 CD's on a single DVD as data, moved them to another computer ... the files are there, they have size, they play, but no sound.
I'm not familiar with how things work when purchasing from the store.
I am cutting a film. We want to try out the music from a certain artist on the film (meaning we need to the music files from computer to computer in the edit suite). We already have the contact numbers for the artist if the music works with image. But we can't seem to get the tunes from the iTunes store to the edit suite compluter.
Any suggestions?

Do the tunes in question (m4p) play in iTunes on the computer that you purchased through?
Have you updated QuickTime to v7.1.3?
What are you burning instruction settings in iTunes prefs>Advanced>Burning? m4p files will not play in regular CD players. m4p files have DRM and are protected. You will need to burn the m4p tunes as an Audio CD. Then they will play in a regular CD palyer or other computer. By converting to an audio file you strip out the DRM. You can then convert thoseaudio files back to an mp3 by changing your import settings in iTunes prefs>Advanced>Importing.
If you want to play iTunes purchases on another computer you will need to Authorize that computer.

Getting my music and apps from I phone4 back on to I Tunes after a computer

I have recently had to do a destructive restore to my computer, I did not have time to back up all the music on my I phone 4 so when I restored the PC and reinstalled I Tunes It would not let me resync my phone without loosing all my music and apps as it says I already have an account for the phone, but this was before the destructive restore to computer. Can anyone help with getting my music from my I phone 4 back on to my pc or I tunes.

This question is asked daily by those that don't do proper backups of the important computer data before formatting, buying new computer, or hardware failure.
Please do a search (like search for "new computer"...use more options in search box to specify searching iPhone forums) and you will find plenty of threads on this topic.

Where is the Guitar Tuner? Logic 9, MacOSX Snow Leopard

This is absolutely silly, but, I have a Track, with guitar settings, and through the Insert panel I cannot find the Tuner in *any* area of the menus, no matter how deep I dive. However, if I select an Apple premade guitar setting, viola - Tuner. I've searched these forums and previous answers to the question do not apply - I don't know if it's a version thing or not.
Two solutions I found said that there was a tuning fork in the transport bar (false), and that you could select it from the Insert panel (false).

Awesome! Thanks much. There are some other "where is the guitar tuner?" questions on this forum where I saw the answer "the tuning fork is in the transport panel" - but it was actually for GarageBand (didn't properly read the breadcrumbs).
I think this is awfully weird that Apple would put the tuner on an individual instrument track - creating multiple instances of the Tuner object in memory on every track, when it could really just be a global thing. I'm sure there is some reason for this - I'd love to know!
I guess studio professionals consider a guitar tuner a "meter" - from a guitar player perspective, I would picture it to be at the very least a pedal on the pedalboard, or a global widget.

I think Paolo30 is right. Qosmio F60 is equipped with internal DVB-T but in some cases you need an external antenna to pick up the low signal. In most cases only in large citys you dont need an external antenna. If you live on the fringe of the city, normally a cable is needed.
Anyway, do you mean an external antenna or external DVB-T receiver (USB stick)?
Normally Windows media center should recognize the internal DVB-T tuner. Is it listed in device manager? Did you update the driver?

There are songs on my icloud that I deleted from my itunes, but still show up on icloud. I want to delete them from icloud, but can't since they don't appear in my itunes!

I have a large library on icloud- 26203 songs is the count when I'm playing over my apple TV, but my itunes only shows 25989 songs. There are songs on icloud that no longer are in my itunes library, or show up in itunes as being on icloud. I want to delete these songs but can't figure out how. I have reset my itunes match on both my computer and my apple tv to no avail.

No. It's on and I update it daily.
When I talk about removing songs from my shuffle play, I'm referring to listening over apple TV. My cloud limit is nearly maxed out, so I am constantly removing/adding songs. That's why I was surprised when I went to delete a song I no longer wanted in the mix and was surprised to find it already deleted from my itunes, but still present in the cloud. I've signed in and out of itunes/and match on apple tv as well, but that didn't remove the tunes in question!

Auto CD Player won't read disk I just burned

I have a G5 iMac, about a month old. If I burn a CD, the CD reads on my PowerBook and wife's G4. However, it won't play in my car. This is puzzling because a friend burned me a disk of tunes, also using iTunes, and that played in my car with no problems.
Symptom: I insert the disk and the car's CD player thinks for a few seconds, sometimes longer, and then spits out the CD.
The tunes in question were purchased from the iTunes store. Does that make a difference?

ShepArt, thanks. Unfortunately, that's not the problem. I did have it set for Audio. I also did an on-line check with Apple. The agent claimed that the problem was probably the media, and that my car's player might not recognize any but certain kinds of CDs. I then bought some "music CDs," which Fry's insisted would work. No dice. The CD plays on other comptuers, but not in my car or in a boombox. I burned at 8X.

Advice needed on Waits and Timeouts - 8i on HPUnix

I need some straight advice...We are running 8i on HPUnix. We have been tuning this thing for 6 weeks now and have most things under control (disk I/O, various cache hit ratios, etc.)...but...we still see a large number of waits...at least I think its a large number.
Question 1. If the instance has been up for 72 hours and I see a count of io done waits for DBW0 of 2,966,179 with 78041 timeouts (as an example), is this a large number? Nothing I have seen in the Oracle documentation gives me a sense of scale.
Question 2. What events do we have the ability to tune?
Question 3. For those that we can tune...how do you tune them?

IPad shared library view all wrong..help

I have added several TV shows to my itunes library. Each show has the correct metadata (artwork, season, date, episode 3, etc).
Don't worry this is all done legally via my "The Tube" software & digital TV tuner.
Question & issue
When I access my shared library (videos-->shared-->TV shows)
The list is not at all organised like it is on the Apple TV 2.
I understand they are two different products.
The only way I can locate a show is via the artwork? No names unless I click the artwork.
Some TV show are listed mutiple times.
Some TV shows are not listed at all?
Is there not a way to search for a TV show that is in my iTunes library via my ipad and view it on my ipad?
This is very frustraging as some appear (mutiple times) and some don't.
Everything have been properly encoded to play on all devices.

I have some little question
i have create user uprofile2
and grant some normal privileges like as inert, delete etc....
i have run packages uprofile2 from another user mydb , in mydb user DBA privilege.
but when run / execute package from mydb user error is occurred
table or view does not exists
but table already excites in uprofile2 user
when i give privilege (insert,update,delete) to mydb user the package is tun
my question is that if i give privileged mydb to DBA role why should extra privilege gives us like as insert,update,delete ?

Privilege need to be explicitly grant to user when running procedure/package not through role.
