TV-tuner ExpressCard 34

Hello, I'm looking for a good TV tuner for my macbook pro. I would like to use the expresscard slot for this (very compact). I found one at Terratec, but the problem is they don't have a driver for OSX, they do have one for windows XP.
my question: Will the express TV card work under windows bootcamp ?
Does bootcamp support the expresscard slot in windows ?

That's a good question. I know other ExpressCard devices (.i.e memory cards) have been made to work on a MBP running bootcamp/XP. Here's another example -

I guess the answer is that someone will have to try it and document it for the TV card.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv2815nr Entertainment Notebook and your Expresscard TV tuner not working correctly. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system to update.
Did you check to see if you system was compatible with Windows 8.1.? In the device manager try updating the HP Digital/Analog TV Tuner.

Hp Pavilion dv6120ca with Hp ExpressCard Digital/Analog TV Tuner in Windows 7 32bit, will not record

I have a Pavilion dv6120ca notebook with the HP ExpressCard D/A TV Tuner running Windows 7 - 32bit
All installs and works fine except that it will not record with either Windows media center or HP quick Play.
Can anyone help

MY current predicament is that the tuner is not recognized by my computer anymore.
I also am on a PC that is running Windows 7, I upgraded from running Windows Vista and i remember my Card working on Vista, but not on Windows 7.
I am wondering if there is a fix for this? Like a driver update or something.

Which tuner? ExpressCard? or USB???

Just ordered my new laptop; the HDX 18T; should be here soon; comes without, however, the optional integrated TV tuner.
So I wish to get some tuner.
But I see there is this HP USB TV tuner .. and there also is the ExpressCard thing that goes in the slot.
Which does what? Which should I get? What's the difference?

usb defintly because u can use on other computers just not a laptop and dont go with any from hp because you can get one
for less and it will just work as great

Elitebook 8560w tv tuner card

Hi,
I have an HP Elitebook 8560w that has windows 8.1 installed on it. I was wanting to take advantage of the a limits to record live TV. I was curious as to what would be the best TV tuner to add to my setup, whether it's expresscard or usb. I have digital cable from Time Warner Cable and I'm located in the United States. Any suggestions as to what I should get? I would like to be able to record analog or digital channels on the laptop without just capturing the incoming feed from my set-top box.

Qosmio F50 not detecting Tv tuner(cardbus)

Sorry to ask stupid question but does this toshiba support Carbus? Becouse when I plugged it in the previus laptop on Xp it worked normally, but now when I do it, nothing happens.

As far as I know the Qosmio F50 supports an ExpressCard slot.
But more details about the slot you should find in your user manual which is preinstalled (I think) on the notebook.
Check if the external Tv tuner card is compatible with this ExpressCard slot

ExpressCard video capture?

Hi there,
I found a great ExpressCard TV Tuner/video capture card on the Internet that I would like to buy to capture analog video onto my MacBook Pro.

The only problem is that it looks like they only support Windows platform. Does anyone know if there is any chance that it would work anyway with the Mac OS X and my MacBook Pro? Using Final Cut Express (or some other third party capture software)? If not, would it work if I captured the video while running Windows (with Boot Camp) on my MacBook Pro?
Any other suggestions for cheaply capturing analog video on a MacBook Pro using Final Cut Express? Unfortunately my camera does not have a "video in" port, which would have made things easier...

Actually try to think about it with reverse logic. If the point is the video capture on a different bus than the drive you are capturing to, this card which I mentioned will let you do just that. The hard drive can be on an external SATA drive which is much faster than Firewire, while the capture device can go through Firewire 400 or 800. I know you want a capture through Express/34, but most cameras actually support Firewire which is IEEE 1394, not Express/34, so it would make more sense attaching devices in the reverse order than you are suggesting.

Does your laptop have an ExpressCard 54/34 or only an ExpressCard 34 slot?
If your laptop supports both 54 and 34 cards, you can buy an HP Analog TV Tuner. This is what I have for my IdeaPad Y530. It has some lag when TV on the laptop, but from what I'm hearing, a great deal of tv tuners do this.

If I purchase a HP Pavilion HDX Dragon 20.1" notebook in the USA with a hybrid tv tuner will I be able to use in in the UK?

Don't know about PAL. But I just returned from Moscow and was surprised to find the HP expresscard Digital / Analog tuner was able to pick up over the air SCEAM broadcasts in Russia. Think PAL is in wider use worldwide.. so you might have a good chance at it...
If not, you should be able to pick up a USB tuner over there that won't fully break the bank.. Can always ebay it after you return home to recapture some of your investment..

Internal TV tuner won't work on Windows 7

I managed to get the machine to work on Windows 7, hooray!, apparently the AverMedia A301-1 TV Tuner only works on Windows Vista, is there any way to make it work on 7? I've tried reinstalling windows Vista as a dual-boot but that hasn't worked. Then I tried putting Vista on another hard drive from the restore disc, although it installs it ok, when it comes to using Windows Update which installs nearly 200 updates initially, on restart I get a blue screen with white text; "A problem has occurred....", blah, blah, then it restarts and on boot up I get it again and again - just goes round in circles. I've now given up trying to reinstall Windows Vista which I clearly need if I want to watch television on the machine as things stand. Can the TV tuner driver be updated to run with Windows 7? God help me if I try to upgrade this machine to Windows 10, total disaster waiting to happen!

How can you get your data back on i tunes

Hi i am Justin,
I have i phone and i have i tunes here is my problom. last night i formatted my HP windows 7 computer and i backed up my pictures and backed up i tunes witch i thoght i did becasue i backed it up on my external 500 MB hard drive and with out making a folder and c oping i tunes i only backed up library and before the format i went to edit, preferences and adavaned in i tunes (sorry about the bad spelling) becasue apples's step by step i read and saw the pictures were to go and i thought i can back up i tunes that way. My phone has 333 songs all my pictures apps and contacts and there is no way to re copy from the phone back in to i tunes i do not use i cloud becasue (one i do not want to pay for more space) and 2 the free version tells me i do not have enough space to back it up so i am worried one sync i will lose all my info. these songs are from cd's i have and off the Internet before the courts stopped Napster and Lime Wire. Sos what should i do just unstalli tunes and leave my computer as a re charging stastion? or is there any secret way to get all my things back then this time i can make a folder and do it right in case the next time i have to re format my drive from a problems or need to what is the best case here?

Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
You can only transfer Purchased music over to Itunes on your PC.

Hi guys some help please. When I download the latest I tunes 9.1.1 is wants to install to drice "G" which I don't have I want it to download on "C". Any ideas?

One thing you should check is where your iTunes searches for your iTunes folder. Head to iTunes and then Preferences. When the window pops up, head over to the Advanced tab. Near the top of the tab, you will see where iTunes currently locates your Music folder. Click the Change button and then direct it to where the folder is located on your External drive. See if that helps.

I have been gaining access to I Tunes fine up to last Wednesday. I now cannot access my account on I tunes, I can surf the shop fine and look at it contents fine but as soon as I try to buy anything I can't log in to my account. I cannot even create a new account.
I'm in contact with apple via e mail but everything they suggest just isn't working. Does any one have any ideas of what I can try as I'm at a dead end now and I have credit on my account.
