TV Tuner for MCE Notebooks PA3518U-1TVN

Hello, I recently got a computer that came with this tv tuner. I now want to use this with a similar non MCE notebook, and I cannot find the drivers for the unit. I have searched online, on toshiba's site, and elsewhere, but I cannot find a driver for this anywhere, can someone send it to me, or provide me a link, or is it just not possible to use this with an xp pro laptop? thanks!!!

I have USB TV tuner too but my is PX1211E-1TVD and my work perfectly after Ive installed Savvy TV software offered on Toshiba support page. Your TV tuner is not known to me and Google doesnt offer any serious info but I hope you can use the same software with your USB TV tuner.

I was on a trip and I downloaded some tunes on my notebook.
At home now, and I am trying to sync the notebook itunes new songs to my Imac, so I do not have to open both computers in the 'shared library' section every time I want to hear a song that I bought last week on the notebook. I simply want to dump my new tunes on my imac and play them from there. Is there a cable I am missing, how do I connect both computers?
I can not imagine a world where I can buy the music on the notebook, but I can not transfer it on my Imac???!!!

There are several ways. iCloud is partially live, at least in the US, so if you are in the US and have the latest version of iTunes on your home computer, start up iTunes, click on the Store button in the list on the left side of the screen, and on the right side of the iTunes store screen look for Purchased (there will be an orange New! tag next to it). You can (re)download any songs you've bought from your account on any authorized device you own. IOW, buy with your iPad, download later with your iMac if you don't feel like syncing with your iPad.
If you have a wireless network at home you can using filesharing to connect the two computers and copy the songs from the notebook to the desktop. My wife has a corporate DropBox account and she just copies her new songs into the DropBox and grabs them when she's at home. I have a history of forgetting that I've downloaded songs on my notebook or at work so I always immediately copy them to my flash drive. So there you go - lots of ways to do what you want.

Tv tuner for CQ58-255SA - is one already installed?

hello all
after much time spent looking for the answer i've had to post my question here.
does the CQ58-255SA have a tv tuner card already installed or will i need to get one?
If i do need to purchase one - can anyone reccomend one please?
(I have installed Media Portal which looks very promising but as it can't locate anything, i'm assuming my laptop doesn't have a built in tuner card - but it could be due to configuring media portal incorrectly!)

Here are the specs for your Compaq CQ58-255SA Notebook Computer. There is no TV tuner listed in the specs and it is unlikely that you will be able to install a TV tuner internally. Your best option is to purchase an external USB TV tuner for use in your geographic region. Please visit a local or online retailer of computer components to make your purchase.

Imac as external monitor for windows Notebook

Hi,
I want to switch from my Windows Pc to a mac for private use.
I prefer the new iMac (2011) 21,5" but I could not get an definite answer (not even in my local apple store) if it is possible to connect an existing Notebook (with VGA Mini-d-sub or DVI connector) to the new iMac in order to use the iMac as an external monitor for the Notebook.
I definitely need this for my business work in my home-office so this information is vital.
If ist is not possible I have to take the macMini and stay with my standard monitor.
Can please someone tell me if it is possible at all and if so, how it can be done.
I searched the internet and only found out that it was possible with the older 27" model but no information for the 2011 21,5" so please help!

Sorry to say, but ...
The 2011 iMacs (21.5" and 27") can only be used as a second display via a Thunderbolt-to-Thunderbolt cable.
The 2009 and 2010 27" iMacs can be used as a second display via a DisplayPort connection.

I would like to know how to insure that all track from a CD I rip into i-tunes all go into the same file regardless of the artist on the CD. I was recdently importing an All Time Low CD into i-Tunes for my daughter and because one track featured a guest a

i would like to be able to insure that when i import a CD into i-Tunes that all tracks from that CD go into a single file for that album in their proper order regardless of whether or not there is a featured artist on one or two tracks or whatever. i recentl;y imported an All Time Low CD into i-Tunes for my daughter and because one song featured a guest artist i-Tunes placed that song in a seperate folder and so when i synced my daughters i-Pod Touch that one track is not with the rest of the tracks form the album and has to be listened to seperately. The song is from the same album and should be where it belongs with the rest of that album so she can listen to the entire album with the tracks in the proper order. I am sure that this can be done i just don't know how.

Edit the Name of the problem song to Name [Feat. Guest]
Change the Artist of that song to All Time Low

What you want cannot be done. iTunes has its quirks, and the above is the kind of workaround needed to make the media display sensibly on any device. The article I pointed you to has others that you may find useful in future.

Uncheck all the songs in the playlist. iTunes will then play one song and stop.

Can't find drivers for my notebook

Hi,
I am in need of drivers for my notebook, and the site where I would usually get them from (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=au&dlc=en&lc=en&product=7169846) is not working at all. Is there some other page where I can download drivers? The notebook is the HP Pavilion 15-p025AX and the P/N is J3Z02PA#ABG.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I cannot get itunes to work/install on myPC. I am running windows 8 in a 64 bit machine. I also want to purchase books via itunes for my Nook. Are you deliberately excluding PC owners so we cannot use ituens on our computers???? I have selected a community but have no idea what community I should be working with. Can somone explai these communities to me? Also. you don't allow much time to go thru the sign up process. I had to start over SEVERAL times as you kept timing me out. Jesus...when people are signing up for the first time, we have no idea of the questions that will be asked. Give us a break and give us time to sign up. USB TV Tuner for Macbook Pro?

I'm interested in turning my Macbook Pro into a small TV and need to purchase a USB TV Tuner/Card for when I'm out of country. Any suggestions as to best tuner for the Macbook Pro?

Connect your phone to iTunes, then right-click on the name of your phone on the left sidebar and select Reset Warnings. Then sync again and you should get a warning listing the problem files.

Best tv tuner for MacBook

I was looking into getting a tv tuner for my macbook. I have read alot of reviews about a couple products. I have seen both good and bad. Has anyone had success with a certain one? What one do you think is the best?

I use Elgato's Hybrid. Works great, allows you to record, edit and export to various formats. You can also capture the video from VHS/DVDs and burn to DVD with built-in Toast. A little bit bigger then a thumbdrive with a USB plug.

How about not using the I-Tunes for Windows MP3 encoder, and encoding with Lame ? Is this possible ? From where can I get the plug-in ? does it really work ? Pros and Cons ?

Thanks Joe for your help. I will check back. I would like to rip with I-Tunes for Windows and encode with the Lame plug-in ( it seems it is available only for Mac). I know EAC is excellent in Secure Mode, but it comes with Freedb (no composer tag info) and not CDDB/Gracenote that comes with I-Tunes and shows composer tag. The composer tag is of extreme importance to me when ripping my Jazz cds.

There is no version of iTunes that supports the 64-bit version of Windows XP and never will be. If you search this forum for "XP 64"or do a web search for something like "iTunes Windows XP 64", you'll find threads describing the process some people have used to "crowbar" iTunes onto XP 64, with varying levels of success, none of them complete.
