TV tuner unavailable

When i try to set up tv signal a pop up message saids tv tuner unavailable. I try restarting a lot of times and only got it to work once. When I went to watch tv, a message came up in the live tv area as set bow top error- unable to control set. Every thing in windows media center works but the live tv.
My tuner is ViXS PureTV-U 48B0 (NTSC/ATSC Combo)
The driver version is 6.2.100.12
should i downgrade it to 6.1.100.18 or 6.1.100.15
MY computer is a HP Pavilion Media Center m8330f Desktop PC
Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

This is more or less a known issue, if attempting to purchase Standard Definition TV shows with a shopping cart. The workaround is to switch from shopping cart to 1-click in your preferences.
Edit > Preferences > Store
Switch to 1-click, and click OK
See if you can purchase those TV shows now. (This worked for me with House)

I'm having the same issue on Apple TV 3. I can play the content on my computer, iphone or iPad but I can't on my Apple TV. I just bought Guardians of the Galaxy via my Apple TV and the purchase went through but when I try to play the content I get this error. However I tried renting a movie and guess what? I can play rentals just fine. This is only effecting Apple TV. Not just movies though, I can't play my iTunes music either. This is BS it's been going on for days now. Tried resetting the appletv to factory defaults and reconfiguring it and nothing.
I Want acknowledgement from apple that there is an issue and they are working to resolve It.
it's a shame, since Steve Jobs passed I've noticed a decline in the quality of work that Apple does. Not a fan of the Post-Steve Jobs UI's that seem to be only half thought-through either. Why do I enter a URL in what appears to be a raised button in Safari on Yosemite?
Apple better tighten their **** back up or soon the quality will be more on par with what you would expect from Windows or a PC.

I purchased it, it downloaded the liner notes, but not the music. I click on it again and it says I have purchased but not download then i click download and it says i tunes unavailable...i've downloaded since then successfully, today i got the bill for the album and never received it.

Follow the instructions on this web page for contacting the iTunes Music Store. They'll probably then either reset the download for those missing tracks or issue you a credit.

This is how I fixed it on my new iPhone 5S. Using the standard yahoo setting on my phone.
You will have to access "managing your app passwords" on your account profile for yahoo. Generate password for your app. For example: "My iPhone 5S'
Go to your Iphone and set up your yahoo mail account on your phone the normal way and you have to use the generated password. instead of the yahoo account password.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

It's true that a lot of people are experiencing problems to connect to the iTunes Store.
But not always the fault is with Apple or your system.
At the moment there are problems with accessing the Store from Vienna, Austria via ISP Chello.
A few months ago people from the UK, using Tiscali as the ISP had problems and about half a year ago there were huge problems accessing the Store in Canada.
Your problems go further as you can't access the Radio streams either.
I don't have a direct solution, but I can provide some information.
First, if you haven't tried that, check your Firewall settings.
If you have any network controlling or blocking software (I use Network SpyAlert) disable that temporary.
Read this article: iTunes for Mac: Possible iTunes Store errors to see if anything mentioned there applies to your situation.
Additional information about internet addresses and ports:
When accessing the streams, the first contact is made with 17.112.152.61 (eg-tunes.apple.com) at port 80.
When that contact is established, contact is made with the server containing the stream.
When accessing the iTunes Store, the first contact is made with 17.250.236.65 (phobos.apple.com) at port 80.
After that, contacts are made with at least 7 different internet addresses.
A few of them are country specific I guess.
Maybe you can do something with the above information.
As i said in my previous post, I don't know what error -1 means.
You might ask in one of the forums in the Mac OS X v10.3 & earlier category.
I guess the Getting Online forum would be appropriate.

hey, i'm trying to install itunes 7 and everytime it says ipod service unavailable, and asks me to confirm that i'm authorised to do this. consequently i can't install itunes or get any of my tunes onto my new ipod. whats going on?? i am logged on as the computer administrator and can't think of a logical reason for it not to install....any ideas???? or is itunes 7 just a total disaster?? help please!?

Are any other users running as well? If so, log them off completely and try again. Also, do a quick control + alt + delete and shut off any iTunes/iPod related programs that may be running before you attempt installation.

I need to uninstall my old version on itunes and install a new version, i cant uninstall from Programs and Features, a message keeps coming up saying 'The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.'
Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

I have all my I-TUNES Libary music in folder on my External Hard drive, so it make's It Easier for if i ever swap my computer.
Im having a bit of a problem.
Even tho I have Pointed I-TUNES at my EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE and have ensured that Itunes is Ogernized. It appears that I have music in other Places on my computer for some Reason.
Can any-one tell me,how I make sure that all my Music is in ONE, folder on my external hard drive??????
MY under standing is that if i create a folder on my External hard drive then point I-TUNES AT THAT FOLDER THEN ConsolidaTE....is this teh right thing to DO ?
And when i IMPORT A CD for example, that the Music goes to the I-TUNES folder rather than some wHere else on my Compter

That shouldn't happen, normally consolidate is safe.
Check that the location of your iTunes Music folder is correct. i.e. is is set to the folder when you put your music.
If you ever start iTunes with the drive disconnected or otherwise unavailable, iTunes will go back to the default location for your iTunes Music folder on the c: drive.
Is it possible that that happened, it seems the most likely cause of the problem.
If that's not it. Check your new Music folder to see if your files really are there.
Then you can check where iTunes thinks they are by opening iTunes Library.xml with WordPad.
Look for lines starting:
<key>Location</key>
These contain file paths, but the space character is replaced with %20.
Check a few of those, that's where ioTunes thinks your msuic is located.
