Tv tuner windows 8 pavilion

I have a pavilion dv 5t -1000us and have installed win 8 on it. I would like to use a tv tuner, but have been unable to get any info on any of the HP tuners if they work with win 8 or which one (best price) I should get?

If Windows 8 drivers are released for your notebook, they will be posted here.
HP is not going to support hardware for Windows 8 on any system purchased before Oct 1st 2011.
Check out this page to see if your computer has been tested by HP with Windows 8.
You can run the Upgrade assistant software, which will scan your PC and generate a report on what is currently installed on your PC is compatible with Windows 8.
It looks like you could upgrade to Windows 7, but that is as far as you can go, without experiencing issues.

I am having the same problem. All my music is in My Music folder including itunes folder. All i want to do is tell itunes where it is but itunes keeps copying the files to its own folder, so mi end up with 2 files for everything (1 in MY Music folder and 1 in Itunes folder)?
Please tell me i can get round this as i prefer the way windows media player files my music and as it is all mp3 then i dont understand why itunes cant just know where it is instead of needing its own copy.?

Not clear you removed and reinstall ALL Apple software.
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- Then do the other actions of:

- New cable and different USB port

Startup problem with window Pavilion G4

I have HP pavilion G4 series laptop running windows 7. Itiatially system slowed down & then windows is unable to load. I get message
WINDOWS FAILED TO START. A RECENT HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE CHANGE MIGHT BE THE CAUSE
Two options:
launch startup repair or
Load normal window
Both are not working & blue screen with mouse cursors come but nothing happens later on for both options.

Enter BIOS setup by tapping/holding the F10 key immediately after powering on the laptop.Use Diagnostics to test your hdd.

OK. That means the default display lange of the OS is Thai. That is what was purchased.
You can try downloading and using the language appropriate LIPS (language interface package software) from Microsoft to change the display language.

Can't load I Tunes-Windows installer program missing?

When trying to load I Tunes on my PC (Windows 7 Home Premium) an error mesage stops the download. It states that "Window installer package - A program required to install could not run."

Repair your Apple Software update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install

Hi Fred, yes my Optical went on the fritz in my iMac 7,1, quite common & Optical drives are not long lived in my experience.
If I can not correct it, can I use a stand alone CD player hooked up to the computer and listen to music as I work using the computer speaker system. If so, what would you recommend that I use?

My computer has recently updated with 8.1 but now I Tunes is refusing to work . Is I Tunes able to work with 8.1? If not how long will I need to wait before trying to go and buy something?

Pleased to say by doing the following I Tunes now works (Although everytime I use it I need to give permission)
Go to system settings,In the system window open advanced system settings which brings up system properties, then click on Advanced.On the advanced tab click evviromental variables find and highlight the PATH variable then click the edit button finally on the bottom part of the path edit put the following instruction .
;C:\program files (x86)\common files\apple\apple application support\
Been working fine since I did this. Hopefully it will help some others.

I Tunes Windows Error Message?

I upgraded from ITunes 6 several times to various 6 versions and even currently ITunes 7.0.2 My system is will not install Quicktime and gives me an error message:
1905.Module C:\Program Files\Quicktime\QTOLibrary.dll failed to unregister. HRESULT -2147220472. Contact your support personnel.
Then when I try to sync my IPod with ITunes I get the following message:
The software for communicating with the IPod is not installed correctly. Please reinstall ITunes to install the IPod's software.
I've uninstalled ITunes and ITune updates about 10 times, reset both my IPods, tryed to correct issues with the MSCONFIG on my computer and downloaded all current updates for windows. I NEED HELP, I don't know what else to do and how to fix this problem. PLEASE HELP!!

ITunes 8 - purple screen in tunes window after upgrading

After installing itunes 8 over version 7 (on XP), I now have a purple/lavender colored screen in the software window. It is now nearly impossible to read the text. The screen goes back to normal whenever I switch from a maximum screen to a restore down screen (or vice versa), but then reverts back to the purple screen if I do anything like clicking on an individual song or podcast or anything in the menu screen. Everything else seems to work okay so far (though much slower).
