TV unresponsive after connecting to Internet

I connected my Toshiba 40RL953 smart TV up to the Internet yesterday for the first time in well over a year. An hour after doing this the screen stalled and when it came back on there was no sound and the remote wasn't responding with the TV. I switched It off at the mains and the screen and sound came back on but still no response from the remote control. I have read from another post on this forum that it could be to do with a firmware update.
Can anybody help me to resolve this issue?

(VPN) There is no internet after connection established.

Mission: PC-1 in country X would like to use the internet(browsing, using his IP-->) of PC-2 in country Y.
Stage: on PC-2 i created "new incoming connection trough the internet" (VPN server) and on PC-1 i set up VPN client with (PPTP). The connection was established, i could browse even shared folder between PC-1 to PC-2,
BUT: on PC-1 after connected to VPN there was no internet, only file shareing, could not ping the PC-2 Ip, only the PC-2's VPN server. i spent hours checking settings, playing with IPs, route tables, but nothing worked.
i need assistant, what i did forgot or how can i accomplish my mission other way.
P.S in many cases i saw people on Client (PC-1) only unchecked "Use default gateway on remote network".. yes but than its use PC-1 ISP's internet.. but thats what i dont want .. i want to use PC-2's ISP internet...

This issue may occur if you configure the VPN connection to use the default gateway on the remote network. This setting overrides the default gateway settings that you specify in your Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) settings.

Firefox can't even connect to Mozilla for updates. Firefox just sits on the default search page and attempts to connect to websites by typing URLs, or by clicking on the links on the default search page don't work.

You could try the following:
* Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version)
* Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs, then add it back. For detailed instructions, see Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet.
Let us know if this fixed your problem!

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
IFor 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

Cannot connect to internet with Huawei after upgrade from 10.7.4 to 10.7.5

I have an iMac which came with os X 10.7.4.When I installed my Huawei E303 data card, I was able toconnect to the internet.
After upgrading to 10.7.5 the system appears toconnect and I can text, but there is nointernet connectivity.

It worked fine until after the upgrade from 10.7.4 to 10.7.5.
Now I can connect but there is no measurable signal. Other computers work using the same data card.

All my apple device has no internet access after connect to my house's wifi.

After connecting my apple ipad to my wifi, it show that there is no internet access. But my laptop can connect it and also use my wifi with internet access. My router is Wireless-G. Why can't I use my wifi????

You're right, in the behind configuration, there aren't any NAT configured for the simple reason which's Firewall is on production on another site and users must to connect to our Intranet to working properly so until I found a solution, I do some tests only with one desktop located on site...
I tried to add this command on my configuration but when I do it, I lost connection with computer of my site of ZAG ...

Having issues connecting to internet after CenturyLink fiasco

After the CenturyLink nationwide internet outage, my mac mini will connect to internet, but the thing is that I will start an internet browser, it will sit there for about five minutes looking up the site, then it'll tell me that it won't connect. Tried restarting, tried to check if it's the browser, switched between internet connections, turned AirPort on and off, all to no help. The Diagnostic won't help, and I'm frustrated. The Mac I own is a 2006 Mac Mini that is running 10.5.8, and it has always been able to connect to the internet. Please help! Every other machine works fine except for the mac. I don't have any idea what to do!

Mac won't connect to internet after sleep

Hi,
I've seen this problem to more and more users.
After i have updated Mac OS to 10.5.7 my Macbook won't connect to my airport express after waking from sleep. Even worse, when i wake my mac, all the computers from my wireless network loose their connectivity to Internet. I have to restart the Airport and the Macbook everytime. You can imagine this is becoming frustrating.
The funny part is that all the other laptops which have windows on them work without problems so i'm guessing this is related to Mac OS and not the Airport.
based on what i have read so far on the forums, i've tried to reset the connection, to change it's name, encryption, update Airport firmware version...everything.. No luck. The only thing that gets my connection back is to do a restart both to Macbook and Airport.
Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

Advanced Network: Proxy Settings, I uncheck "Auto Proxy detection" and make sure you have the interface you use selected and none others.
"Go into System Preferences - Network - Advanced - Proxies Uncheck "Auto Proxy Discovery", click OK, Apply"
After Unchecking "Auto Proxy Discovery" I also had to Uncheck "Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV)" and then Restart Boot Camp Assistant.
odiggy's comment and tried restarting Boot Camp Assistant. That did the trick, even though the Auto Proxy Discovery checkbox ended up the same as it started. Windows support software is now downloading... if you're downloading to an external drive make sure there's a least 1 GB of free space because the WindowsSupport folder is around 700 MB (format as FAT and MBR).

Also, Change Domain Name Servers to OpenDNS IP address servers - that should be at the router firewall rather than the OS but may be in both for some people. You may be using the defaults your ISP uses, save those if you want, and try these:

after downloading it will not connect to internet, IE does. I have uninstalled /installed many times. when uninstalling a security message as follows comes up asking to be quarantined: firefoxhelper

I have run virus/malware, cleared temp files/disk cleanup & still no luck.

As we say back home you really screwed the pooch. OK Put your install disk back in and restart the computer while holding down the C key. This will start you up from the disk so you can access Disk utility from the installer program. Click the first aid tab, select your drive and run repair disk.
