Hi All, here are some commmon questions & answers about TVN2.1:
1)     Does OrgChart 2.1 require EhP4?
STVN 2.1 OrgChart does not specifically require EhP4 to function. The current build available on the SAP Service Market Place will work with pre ehp4 versions.
2)     Does the ABAP Add-on require EhP4?
The current ABAP Add-on is made for EhP4, but there will be another ABAP Add-On for 4.7 as soon as it completes the Product Quality process which will not require ehp4.
3)     Does OrgChart require the ABAP Add-on?
The STVN OrgChart does not specifically need the ABAP Add-on. This is an Add On that gets used for all STVN 2.1 products, but the STVN OrgChart does not specifically need it.
4)     Does the Nakisa Transport Package for ECC6.0 require EhP4?
No, this is not specifically required.
5)     Does OrgChart require the Nakisa Transport Package for ECC6.0?
Yes, and this is due to the use of OTF (on-the-fly extractor). It is required for OrgChart Live and Staged, although more for Live.

I need a modem to go with my new Airport Extreme. I assume I cannot connect with my existing Router/Modem. I can't find a product either in stores or on the net. I know this is a common question, but I have yet to find a suitable answer. Any advice for a fairly low tech guy?

Sorry I can't help with your new issue, but I just wanted to add for the benefit of anyone else reading this thread - the X-Modem M3 still seems to be available from the manufacturers, this is the site I originally got it from and it's still for sale there:

Thought I'd mention, as when I got my Airport I spent ages looking for a really small neat modem to use with it and this was the best I could find so other people might be interested too.

A very good Thread that is probably 1000's of entries long by now is the
"How to get your questions answered promptly" one (or however this is called). A recap of that published somewhere would be of tremendous value, especially if it was presented as a page you had to go through before landing in the forums to post your latest "Java Challenge" aka "do my coursework" on the boards.

"Common" questions thread/board/whatever

I have been seeing so many repeat questions lately that really are very common. How to update control values programmatically and how to pass data between parallel loops to name the two I see most.
I have a suggestion that we create a common questions thread that is put together with links to common forum questions. This can be a sticky, or maybe force it to come up at the beginning of every search no matter the key words put in. I'm obviously open to other suggestions and I'm posting this because there would need to be other things resolved (can all members post to the thread or just NI staff so we avoid follow up questions? Which links to common question responses would be added to the thread? How do we determine the BEST answers? etc.) However, I think it would be a nice place to point users to, rather than to have to go dig up an old thread and point the users to it ourselves, when it's really what they should have looked for in the first place. We could just post a link to the "common questions thread"
This would save ben from posting his AE nugget link (which he probably has memorized) every day, or people repeatedly posting "try a producer-consumer queued state machine - see NI template that is included with LabVIEW"...and the list goes on.
Any comments on how to implement this, or why it's just a bad idea in general?

Ben, good plug for tagging - there's one problem though. You're by far the most diligent tagger, but most of your tags are hyphenated or underscored on the compound words. For instance, if I search for "Converting array to cluster", I'm guessing the search engine would not return the result that you have tagged "ConvertingArray-to-Cluster". Or am I wrong here - does the search engine throw out the hyphens and underscores?
A Quick search from my Forum_Tips tag yielded this and I quote"

Script Language Translation - Very Common Question, but unable to resolve !

Hi Gurus,
I know this is very common question, but I am stuck, unable to get this one resolved.
Need to translate sap script "TEXT SYMBOLS" from "English" to "French".
Have maintained language translation text symbol values in table TTDTG.
But when i login through French language, these are still getting printed in English !!
Any Pointers to resolve this will be of great help.

1) Copy the Script into FR language and then change the Corresponding ENGLISH text to FRENCH text.
2) Pass ur logon langauge in the OPEN_FORM FM Import parameters
LANGUAGE = sy-langu.
so that whatever is ur logon langauge it corresponding Form will be called.

Email set up questions   answer please, as if the person has no clue.. e.i. email set up for dummies

Hello.. try'n to set up my email accounts on the phone.. had them all on it.. but I read them and delete from phone but they'd stay on email server..   have many questions, so please bear with me..
1) How do you set up the emails and set the server incoming and outgoing settings,?   the emails are Comcast.net ,gmail.com and a yahoo (please note that the Comcast.net has the Xfinity connect app, but most likely won't be used as there are 3 emails and you can't switch between them in the app without signing in and out of each, so I'll have to set these up as separate emails and forgo the app. unless there is a way to switch between them without the sign in and out dance, Waiting on reply on that forum)
2) After the phone is receiving the emails, how do you set it up so when you delete the email from the phone, it also deletes it from the email server, AND how do you remove emails from the phone that you don't want to delete from the email server? i.e. you've read it,but will answer it/print it/ect from your pc at a later date but don't want the phone loaded down with tons of emails to scroll through.. that you've read..
3)is there a way to give each email account it's own ring tone? to make it easier to know if it's from an account used for general junk, or the one used for bills, or the one used for my web forums, etc..
I'm sure there are more questions I'll have but can't think of at the moment..
Thanks for reading and any insight on these questions.. and please remember,, first phone that isn't a crackberry and have no clue on how to set it up correctly,, Hell when I had a Verizon.net email (Verizon DSL) even the manager at the Verizon wireless store couldn't get it to work correctly.. it took 2 trips and 4 hours..   so basicly I have never set up emails on this since.. and need the questions answered with order of operations to set them up, and please include even the most basic parts of it, that would seem common knowledge,

The way the e-mail is removed from the server depends on the type of account that is being set up IMAP or POP3. The server setting ( IMAP or POP3 ) is provided in the mail list provided in the link.

i bought the itunes music credit, and when tried to redeem it asked for my ID, i have put the details, then it asked for the security questions answers, which i can not remember. when i try to reset, the email get sent to un unknown email address which i dont own... i tried everything to update my email addresses and its still not changing. i dont know how this weird email got there, i dont own it....

You won't be able to change the rescue email address on your acocunt until you can answer two of your questions, if you don't recognise the address then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Originally, I had my Apple account set up to a gmail account. But then, I deleted my gmail and connected my account to my hotmail instead. I'm going to lose this laptop soon for a new laptop swapout, and this is the only device that lets me use my iTunes account. I don't remember my security question answers, so I have them emailed to me via "Manage my account". However, I fear that the answers may be being wrongly sent to the gmail account I deleted. Hi! So I haven't used iTunes in a few months but I just got an iTunes gift card and want to make a purchase. iTunes redeemed it just fine but now that I want to make a purchase I am having problems. I can't remember my security question answers and iTunes is requesting them. I have two other verified emails but the are NOT rescue emails. I can't contact iTunes over the phone because my phone lines are out and are going to be out for a long time. The only way I can contact them is by email. How can I do this? If you don't already have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you won't be able to use that route to get your answers reset - and you will only be able to add one to your account by answering two of your questions, so you will need to get them reset first, in which case see if the instructions on this user tip helps : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551
