TVSU problem - "An error occurred while downloading package"

During packages retrieval at about 17% TVSU displays message box: "An error occurred while downloading package".
In the Event Viewer I can see error event with id 36871, source Schannel and description:
"Critical error during authentication of SSL client. Internal error code: 10013" (translated by myself from my native language)
TVSU 4.00.0046, T410, Windows 7 Enterprise, x64, SP1, IE9.
Have you got any ideas how to solve this problem?
Regards,
Wojtek

w454385,
What is your TVSU version? There was a glitch yesterday and it's fixed. I guess your case may be related to that incident.
Check out these 2 threads. They are actually having same solutions.

http://forum.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkVantage-Technologies/System-Update-4-odd-behavior-in-ThinkVantage-To...
If your version is 3.15 / 4.01, please:
Un-install current TVSU, reinstall TVSU version 3.14 (Win XP) or 4.0 (Win 7/Vista) by dowloading from Lenovo Support site,
Otherwise, you can try running driver update again.

  • Win 7 / System Update 4 "An error occurred while downloading packages" Please review LOG?

    Team Lenovo,
I am having problem with TVSU 4.0 on a Windows 7 64 bit system where it gets to about 17-18% and consistently gives me "An error occurred while downloading packages"
I've made sure no firewalls are active.  Am not using an Proxy servers and have turned off "automatically detect settings" in Internet Options.  I've tried to uninstall and reinstall and no change.  I've also tried to run as an Administrator and no luck either.
I reviewed the logs that are located at:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\System Update\logs
I've highlighted in BOLD the entries below I feel may be the issue, but not sure how to resolve it.  I did notice download.lenovo.com link when I try to reach it directly shows file not found???

Thank you for the reply.  I already have NET. Framework 4.x installed and I stil have the same problem.
I looked at the logs again and I believe the issue is that I can not download this file:
    https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/agent/SSClientCommon/HelloLevel_8_05_80.xml
Can someone try that link and see if they get anything?  I keep getting in my browser "file not found".

  • System Update 3.14.0024 "An error occurred while downloading packages."

I have a T61 (7664-1KU) with Win XP SP3.  After searching all 64 pages of this ThinkVantage Technologies Board I could not find a solution that works, hence this new post.
Here are the various attempts so far, none of which  have worked, in isolation or combination:
Have rebuilt the laptop hard drive completely and tried to reload Thinkvantage software through System Update 3.14.0024
    Reinstalled System Update
In LAN settings have unchecked "Automatically detect settings"; "Use ... script,"; and "Use a proxy server"
    Disabled all firewalls etc.
Disabled all parts of Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) manually in SEP and via MSConfig
I do not have a Google accelerator loaded
Have checked router logs and verified that downloads are not being blocked
In all cases I get "An error occurred while downloading packages" after ~30% of the progress bar.
If it helps I can supply the TVSU error log.
Thank you for your help in advance.

  • ThinkVantage System Update keeps failing with "an error occurred while downloading packages"

For approximately a week now, various machines I am responsible for have been unable to successfully run System Update.  The error I see in v3 vs. v4 of System Update is slightly different, though I wonder if the underlying cause is the same.  On one machine (ThinkCentre M52) running XP (so using Update v3), when attempting to download the package information, I get the error: "An error occurred while downloading packages".  I checked the TVSU log, and find the following error:
    Info 2011-10-03 , 08:31:00
     at Tvsu.FileDownloader.HttpsDownload.StartDownload(FileDownloadInfo fileInfo, downloadingDelegate downDelegate)
Message: An exception ocurred while downloading https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/thinkvantage_en/livefeed.xml

Message: Error at DirectFileDownloader when validating certificates, or a secure channel cannot be established.
      Type: Tvt.FileDownloader.CertificateValidationException
         at Tvsu.FileDownloader.HttpsDownload.doDownloadByHttps(FileDownloadInfo fileInfo, downloadingDelegate downDelegate)
       at Tvsu.FileDownloader.HttpsDownload.StartDownload(FileDownloadInfo fileInfo, downloadingDelegate downDelegate)
If I try to navigate to the URL noted in the message using Internet Explorer, I can understand why this is failing: IE displays a message that the certificate for the site is invalid and, thus, the site cannot be loaded.  I have noticed a similar issue when trying to use the "Auto Detect" tool on this machine from the Lenovo site... I.E. indicates the site's certificate is invalid.
This machine is a fresh OS reinstall from nothing; TVSU version is the latest (that I know of): 3.15.0017.  I do have two other XP machines (that have been installed for quite some time) running the same version of TVSU that DO NOT experience this issue.  I've otherwise been unable to figure out what the difference betweens the machines is.  Any thoughts either Lenovo or the community can share would be much appreciated.

  • An error occurred while downloading a larger version of this photo for editing. Please try again later.

I've moved to photos from iphoto and for a while all was good. And quite exciting. My entire 15k photos have migrated and are available on all my devices.
Suddenly, I get this warning when I select or try to edit a photo: Cant Download Photo: An error occurred while downloading a larger version of this photo for editing. Please try again later.
There is an exclamation  mark and a warning triangle on the picture. I am only able to test on my ibook as my Imac is out of action.
If I log in to icloud in Safari, I can down load the full sized image no problem.  Any one got any ideas?

Well stone me, it's started working.  Nothing changed on my side.....  go figure.

  • How do I correct the error message "an error occured while downloading....dismiss"

I recently started receiving the error message "an error occurred while downloading" on an intermittent basis when trying to download pictures in some of my Yahoo groups using Yahoo mail. When it occurs the only way to clear the error message is to click on a highlighted "dismiss" [a term I had never seen used before these error messages started] which shows after the error message.
When the error shows for one pic in the posting it will show for all the pics in that post. When the error occurs for an individual pic it will also show up if you try to "download all".
These errors will show up for a posting sent from the same sender via one email group while not for the exact same email sent to another group. It is not restricted to an individual who is posting or a specific Yahoo group and appears to be truly random.
Recently I found an example of the same error message in a posting from a Yahoo group in my Gmail account as well so it is not restricted to Yahoo mail alone.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?....Does anyone know how to fix it?

Hi saxxy60, I have not encountered this error before, but I have when the internet connection is lost in the middle of the download. You can try to disable any antivirus on the computer [http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie10-windows_8/an-error-occurred-while-downloading-attachment-in/02b00230-ed67-473c-9ad8-370deac2272e?msgId=0d3d89cf-2722-43f3-b21b-2f3214e2f1d1]
You can try to get more elaborate errors if you try to reproduce the issue with an HTTP traffic capture.

  • An error occurred while downloading the firmware

I have several AirPort's in my home network that have available firmware updates, according to the Airport Utility version 6.3.2 of my iMac (running Mavericks), but cannot update them because I keep getting an error saying "An error occurred while downloading the firmware". Needless to say that my iMac, and my home network, have an active and very decent Internet connectivity.
My Time Capsule has firmware version 7.7.2 and an AirPort Express has firmware version 7.6.3. I have another Airport Express running with version 7.6.4 that does not needs an update. Every time that I try to update the AirPort devices that report an available update I keep getting the same download firmware error message. This has been going on for days. How can I update these two AirPort devices, or fix my AirPort Utility?
In the directory /Users/me/Library/Application Support/Apple/Airport/Firmware there is a file called version.xml. If I rename it, and restart the AirPort Utility, my AirPort devices would not report an available firmware upgrade. I tried resetting both AirPort devices and trying to re-update the firmware but keep getting the same error message. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are you behind a firewall or double NAT??
What is the device that is immediately plugged into the main modem or router? Has that one been able to update?
It is plugged in of course isn't it.. no nasty join wireless anywhere??
The best way to work around these sort of problems is to simplify the network.. Plug each device directly into the main router.. by ethernet. You can trigger the firmware upgrade by wireless but use ipad or iphone version of airport utility and see what happens.

  • An error occurred while downloading Mountain Lion OS

An error occurred while downloading Mountain Lion OS and can't download it anymore. Please advise on how to resolve this problem. Thank you

I have followed these steps :
    - Sign out of the App Store (in the Store menu)
    - Quit the App Store
    - In Finder - Go>Go to folder...  (or Apple-shift-G)
    - Paste in the following "~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore"
    - It will take you to a folder.  Delete the whole folder and empty the trash.
    - Launch the App Store.  Sign in and then reclick the Mountain Lion buy.  It won't charge you again.
Then I restart my system in safe mode. And downlad installer again
This time it is installed. And I am really happy

I think i have a problem with my iphone..
Please helpe to solve this issue.

Something temporarily wrong with your internet connection?
Be aware that this is a very large file to download, it needs a strong consistent internet connection.
Have the iPhone on the charger cable too.
In the meantime read the threads in this forum about the visibility item and some other possible issues on the 4 and 4S (although a large number of people have these issues, it is still a minor percentage, but anyhow, be aware).

Sorry to hear your Adobe experience has been less than stellar.  I'll try to help...
    1.  Photoshop 14.2.1 is now two releases out of date.  You might want to go to your Creative Cloud application and ask it to install Photoshop CC (2014).  Earlier this year Adobe released 2014.0 as a separate install that can live side by side with 14.2.1.  Then just a few days ago they released 2014.1 as an in-place upgrade to 2014.0.
    2.  You may be able to update Camera Raw directly to version 8.6 by a link from this page:
    Keeping Photoshop Up-To-Date
Best of luck to you.  Please let us know here if these things help.

  • Error occurred while downloading files from Administration Server...

    Hi guys,
If i already have my application deployed and exploded in ../tmp/_WL_user , when I restart the managed server it will try to download again the files from the upload directory in the Administration Servers? (I'm using stage mode).
Sometimes I got the following error:
Caused By: java.io.IOException: [DeploymentService:290066]Error occurred while downloading files from Administration Server for deployment request "0". Underlying error is: "null"
and I already have the war exploded in /tmp/_WL_user
the staging mode is not only for the first deployment? when i don't have the war exploded in /tmp/_WL_user?
I've some confusion related to the process or deployment/startup of the managed servers.
    Thanks

    Hi,
when you get following error * DeploymentService:290066 * then that means
A service on the machine is preventing the WebLogic Server remote instance from downloading the configuration file. This can be Hosts Intrusion Prevention (HIPS) agents or any other agent causing this issue.
Disable the agent interfering with the download process to fix this issue.
    Regards,
    Kal

  • The App Store will not update my apps. I keep getting An error occurred while downloading the updates.(102) What could resolve this issue?

My App Store is no longer updating my apps or my OS. I keep getting this message: An error occurred while downloading the updates.(102) What could be the reason for this issue and what will resolve it?

I believe its an auth error. If you tried signing in and out of the app store and downloading a free app (typical fixes) and it persists, try downloading the updates manually. If youre trying to get the Mountain Lion updates the link for 10.8.1 is here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1571   and if you already have 10.8.1 and youre trying to update to 10.8.2 the link is here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1580 a supplemental update came for the 10.8.2 which can be found here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1600
Like I said before, the error isnt that your software or hard drive is corrupt, it has to do with your AppleID authenticating the download, especially because OS updates are part of the Mac App Store. If you know your way around your system libraries or root libraries you can possibly fix it by deleting specific files that may be corrupted, otherwise you're going to want to back up your data and reinstall the OS.
    Good luck!

  • I updated my extreme and everything went okay but when i tried to update my express its reads an error occurred while downloading the firmware

i tried updating my airport utility app on my iphone and ipad when it updated it updated the airport extreme okay, but the airport express keeps showing a message that reads error occurred while downloading the firmware it shows it downloading and then reads preparing and then the error message comes up. can anyone explain o me how to fix this thankyou

Do you kow if I can I use the AirPort Extreem directly from the ethernet cable coming into the house?
Is that an Ethernet cable, or is that a phone cable?  The AirPort Extreme does not have a modem on board, so you must use a separate modem with the Extreme.
