TVSU recommends obsolete versions of Flash plug-ins

As of June 3, 2008, ThinkVantage System Update is recommending I install the obsolete 9.0.115.0 version of Adobe Flash, which Adobe patched on April 8, 2008 to fix several vulnerabilities. Interestingly, this obsolete version is the same version provided with Windows XP SP 3. to check which version you have installed, and to download the current version.

Hello,
I have been using Red Giant's Text FX plug-in for Flash to
easily create text FX for a while now. It's a discontinued product,
however, and it won't work in Flash CS3.
What plug-ins do you recommend for Flash?
I've downloaded an app called Text-Osterone. It's not a
plug-in, but is a standalone product that outputs Flash.
I've also found PJ Components, but I haven't checked it out

The dpi is not relevant, just the actual pixels. If you have Photoshop CS3 then create the project at 1440X1080 using 1.33 PAR just like your video.
If not, use 1920X1080 and Premiere Pro will deal with it.
You could make your title in After Effects and either use Dynamic Link to bring it into Premiere Pro, or export it as a Quicktime Animation with the alpha channel and use that in Premiere Pro.

Recommendations for flash plug-ins?

I wonder if anyone has a preferred flash plug-in for Compressor. I've looked into On2Flix and SorensonVideo3. Frankly, I find it all a bit overwhelming. My goal is to find the most cost effective/time efficient method for exporting to flash.
I'd appreciate hearing any of your experiences and recommendations.

Problems using third party Flash plug-ins for Captivate 4 content

I'm using a few Flash CS4 plug-ins (Control VR, 3D Carousel XML) that work perfectly well in Flash.
However, when importing the animations into Captivate 4, numerous cryptic errors occur which seem to be related to the XML file.
Do I need to do anything different when importing Flash animations that include XML data? The XML files are all in the same folder as the Flash movies and the Captivate file, but it still doesn't work.
Any help appreciated!

Because this is a commercial plug-in and therefore I cannot test it without purchasing the component. I would recommend that you report this issue to the Adobe Captivate team and send them the both the source CP file and the component. Although I have had some success in getting XML code recognized by CP there could be many reasons why the XML code from this component is not being intrepreted.

Help;My Adobe Flash Plug-Ins crashed!

So I'm on Snow Leopard... 10.6 ( or 8 not sure right now...but I updated software on my Mac Pro..and now Adobe Plug ins CRASHED...now I cannot play any videos. Should I have to RE INSTALL my Adobe Flash from my Creative Suite 6 package?? This happened on Firefox browser. Everytime I re-load the page..NOTHING happens. Cannot play vid's any help appreciated!! STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH FLASH PLUG-INS & CRASHES

I updated to the new 11.6 Adobe Flash and I am still having issues. I had the same issues, with the previous version of Flash Player. This issue occurs, multiple times daily. When I play a game on Zynga.com or Facebook (Daily), I either receive the message that the "Plug-in is not responding," or it Crashes. This then effects other websites, I have open in other tabs ie; Verizon.net, Adobe, etc. I have posted numerous Bug Reports on Google Chrome and one Bug Report on Adobe, without any results? It is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! It happens multiple times during a game, sometimes the plug-in issue resolves itself (only for a very short time) or it Crashes, or it doesn't do anything and I have to close the tab and re-load (refreshing does not work) or it just Crashes without warning and I usually lose data. I am not the only person, who has this issue RE: Game play on Zynga & Facebook. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

This seems to be an issue with Zynga games and the DEBUG version of Flash Player exclusively. I have always had to use the non-debug version of Flash Player when playing Zynga games. As such, this seems to be a problem on Zynga's end and therefore need to take it up with them.

Tutorials on the Apple Website play in Safari and Chrome, but not always in Firefox. Java and Flash plug ins are up to date.

I was trying to play the Time Machine video tutorial on the Apple Website (I have an imac 10.6.6) and it won't play in Firefox, but it will in Safari and Chrome. This has happened before but then seemed to fix itself. Other videos (Youtube for eg.) play fine. All plugs (Java and Flash) are up to date. Just wondering why this could happen.

I have had this problem for a few days, no sound in Firefox, but IE and WMP (offline) have sound, this is a Firefox ONLY problem, so the volumes are all set correctly and the drivers and needed files are there, I've tried every fix that people have suggested on Google like checking the flash player settings, creating the "missing.reg" registry file and importing it, etc...
nothing works, I may just have to switch to Safari or Chrome, I watch a lot of video online (Youtube, ESPN3, NFL.com, etc.) so this is a huge problem...

Flash "Plug-In Failure" with Lion 10.7.4 - HOW TO FIX?

Just upgraded to Lion 10.7.4, then the video stopped playing in Safari.
Upgraded Safari to 5.1.7, then installed the latest Flash player, V. 11.2.202.235
Plug-Ins are enabled.
Also have the latest graphic card drivers.
Now I get "Plug-In Failure"
I have read that Apple is now disabling old versions of Flash plug-ins. The bug is, that ALL versions seem to be disabled.
How do I enable Flash plug-ins, or how can I go back to the older vesion of Lion?

Safari and Firefox Crashes in Leopard ... Flash Plug-in noted as cause

Since loading Leopard, I now can't be on Safari or Firefox without crashing ... especially on ESPN and others that use Flash Plug-ins.
Won't be able to follow Red Sox game tonight without help.

I can't load up Plug Ins

I just downloaded a list of plugins from CycoreFXHD 1.7.... I have a list of plugins in a folder, but whenever I try to open them up in Adobe After Effects CS4... it says "Name of effect".plugin is an unknown file type?

What, exactly, are you doing when you get this error message? (I suspect that you're trying to import them as if they're source footage.)
Are you sure that you got the right versions of the plug-ins for CS4? The 64-bit version only works with CS5, and the 32-bit version only works with CS4.
It seems a little odd that you'd be loading these plug-ins as one of the first things that you'd do if new to After Effects.

Why does my Extras window keeps asking me to reload the Firefox window and not uploading my new plug ins even after I've reloaded it already?

I have installed new versions of my plug ins and reloaded the Firefox page, but I noticed one of them wasn't working (the United States English Spellchecker 5.0.0) so I reinstalled it and rebooted the page once again. But it's not working and no matter how many times I reboot the page, it still asks me to do it. What can I do to solve this problem?

How/Where to install additional iTunes Visualizer plug-ins?

Hi. I recently switched from my old mac running OS 10.4 to another mac running 10.6. with iTunes 9.0.1.
I had installed a couple additional iTunes visualizer with my old mac. I've tried installing the same plug-ins on the new mac by placing them in the Harddrive/Library/iTunes/iTunes plug-ins folder............however ..........after doing so and opening up iTunes.......they don't shaw up as an option in the Top Menu- View-Visualizer-Visualizer Plug-ins list.
Wondering why not and how to make this work? Thanks for any help.

After thinking it over............my old mac was a powerPc compared to the new Intel and I was probably using versions of those Plug-ins that were quite old..........so went to the plug-in website and downloaded a newer version which is showing up.

Unable to download plug ins

I use Windows XP, I have both Photoshop 7.0 and Elements 4.0. I've been trying to download plugins for my Canon EOS Rebel to access RAW (Cr2) files and every time I download I get an error message either that the file is corrupted or that the ZIP extractor cannot open it. I've disabled both my anti virus and malware software to no avail. I cannot access any fo the downloadable files from Adobe. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Are you referring to Adobe Camera Raw Plug-ins?
If so, you should know that there is no ACR plug-in available any more that will work with Photoshop 7.x. (As an aside, you should apply the free and mandatory 7.0.1 update ASAP. It fixes many bugs.)
ACR 1.x was available for purchase when Photoshop 7.0.1 was current, but it only supported a handful of cameras anyway. It was never free and it was withdrawn as soon as Photoshop 8 was released.
You're not accidentally downloading the Mac version of the plug-ins, are you? Sorry, other than that I have no suggestions. I don't do Windows. :(
