TVU and iTunes Conflict

iTunes and TVU have severe conflict issues. anytime TVU is open, even if it is not running, iTunes songs or videos will skip terribly.

Even i have both Ovi Suite and itunes installed in my Windows 7 desktop. I am able to run both the softwares simultaneoulsly.
Looks like the issue is specific to your PC. You could try uninstalling both itunes and Ovi Suite and install one by one both again.
For OVi Suite you need to follow the below steps.
Uninstall the following Programs, if any, from Control Panel -> Programs and Features
Also a screen-shot of the error will help

Later download and install the latest OVi Suite from the following location.

After OVi suite installation , restart the PC then install the itunes.

Ovi Suite and iTunes conflict ?

Dear All.
For my N97 Mini, I use under Windows 7 the Ovi Suite 2.2.0.245. It works fine and it synchronize the music present in the folder "My music" ...
The problem is that iTunes does not even run when Ovi Suite runs ...
I try to explain better. If I UNinstall completely iTunes (and ALL Apple SW present on my laptop) then when I re-install it, immediately it works fine (I can see my complete set of songs, I can buy new ones, etc ...).
When after I run the Ovi Suite, this reads from the iTunes folder in "My Music" all the old and new songs, and it (re)synchronize with my N97 Mini ... perfect ! (I can listen the songs on my N97 Mini!) but when I run again iTunes a small windows appears which says "The handle is invalid", and iTunes never starts ... so I have to uninstall/re-install it (and ALL Apple SW !!!) again ...
Any suggestion to solve this problem ?

Yahoo Music Engine and Itunes Conflict

I downloaded the Yahoo Music Engine and subscribed to Yahoo Unlimited. It works great, until I go to run itunes again. Something happens where and artist like "The Cars" will be renamed "Cars, The" when a song is played. It does this just for a song that has been played and itunes then sees it as a new artist. So if I play an album the first song is then switched around and it stops playing, because itunes then sees it as the only song the artist has. The only way I have seen to fix it is to reinstall itunes. I don't want to switch all my artists to the "cars, the" format either. Anyone else have this problem or any suggestions

On the contrary. I would stick with just Yahoo. After reading dozens of threads in various forums, Yahoo has had the most success with users getting their players working. Yahoo has also updated their software, which no other subscription service has done as yet. And Yahoo is also the cheapest so far, I'm not sure what MusicMatch is charging tho....
So far i've only seen problems with Music Match's subscription service.

Musicmatch Jukebox And Itunes Conflict

I need an answer to a strange situation. I use i-tunes exclusively for for all functions, including burning. I was previously a user of Musicmatch Jukebox Plus, which became bug infested. I discontinued it and switched to i-tunes (now using most recent version) Problem: when I uninstall MMJB from my PC, Windows Explorer no longer shows my CD drives and i-tunes "Cannot Find CD Burning Device" When I reinstall MMJB, the drives return and i-tunes recognizes the drivers and is able to function. I guess I can live with this scenario, but would like to understand why MMJB takes my computer resources with it upon uninstalling and why i-tunes is unable to access these resources without MMJB being present.

Updater "ipod service error" and itunes "reinstall itunes"

I got my ipod exchanged just recently from a regular 20gb iPod to a color/photo ipod. I downloaded the newest iPod updater and the newest iTunes. I go into the updater program and a message comes up saying "iPod Service error". When i plugged in my unit to my computer, iTunes shows a message "the software required for communicating with the iPod is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes to install the iPod software.
Here's the problem. I went to Apple's online help and went through all the possible solutions it had (reinstall iTunes, Disable conflicting system services and startup items, disable conflicting system services and startup items and reinstall, resintall the COM interface for the iPod service) and none of them worked.
What do i do? because I've spent the whole week trying to figure out what's going on. I've repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled both the updater and iTunes. Anyone have any answer to this?

It might be a total pain, but you might do best if you call Apple Support if you can... Hopefully you didn't get a bad 'Pod.

Iphone 4 is not detected by computer and itunes but it is charging

Iphone 4 (IOS 7) is not detected by computer and itunes.
I am the 2nd owner of this iPhone 4. I did all the troubleshooting said in http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 but nothing resolved it.
Troubleshooting I did:
1. Used other iphone / ipod devices, it worked but not my iphone 4.
2. Used different Windows OS and different computer, Win7 & Win8, still not detected.
3. Used different USB cables, still not detected. But my current USB cable is working with other iPhone/iPod devices.
3. Uninstall / Install iTunes, still not detected.
4. There is no "X" in the device Manager, and also, portable devices is not showing upon plugging in the device.
5. Made sure that the Apple Mobile Service is running.
6. I only have iPhone devices, so I don't have any 3rd party Software conflicts.

IPod mini shows up as having 328.9 GB capacity in updater and iTunes

I have a 6 GB mini, and I have updated to the new iTunes since I last used it. So when I connnected it, it showed up as "Data" instead of my iPod name, and iTunes claimed it didn't have any songs on it even though it did. I got the 1.4.1 updater (2006-01-10) and it said it needed update but it only offered a restore option. I went ahead and restored, but when it came back it still said 328.9 GB, both in the updater and in iTunes. So I formated from the control panel, and it correctly read 5.67 GB free. Back to updater, it still reads 328.9. It seems to work, but it worries me that the disk size reads wrong. It claims in iTunes to have used 89.6 GB with 2hundred whatever free. No, I'm not looking at my hard drive, this is the iPod.

Never mind, mystery solved. I had a windows network drive assigned as drive J:, which is the drive my iPod decided to be. So the two conflicted, and iTunes was writing to the network drive.

RealPlayer can cause conflicts with Flash Player because it tries to assign EVERY TYPE of video or audio file to itself by default. I haven't used RealPlayer in years for that reason. It's an unnecessary program anymore. There are apps loike VLC media player that cna do EVERYTHING it does without conflicting with other apps like Flash Player.
With WIndows 8, Microsoft began embedding FlashPlayer themselves into Internet Explorer. Because of that, you cannot download and install it from here. You cannot uninstall it from Internet Explorer without removing a specific Windows Update first. And you cannot update it via this website. ONLY through Windows Update can Flash Player for Internet Explorer be updated.
That said, you probably DON'T have a virus that's causing the problems with Flash Player and Internet Explorer. Many, many websites are not "recognizing" the browser.
This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released IE11 The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player.
So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.

Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

Itunes conflicting with the DVD drive in windows 8.1

Has anyone had any conflict on the DVD drive betweeen W8.1 and Itunes 11.1.3.8 i know its this as when i uninstall Itunes the conflict dissapears re-install itunes and the conflict re-appears which then renders the dvdv drive uselss. actually it doesnt even show up in the drive letters.

IPhoto 6.0.5 and iTunes 7.0.2 not recognized

I will run Norton Utilities 8 to correct any problems and when complete I try to open iPhoto or iTunes and neither will open. They had been up and running before I ran Norton. The icons for the program will bounce once in the dock and the program will not open, as though they are not recognized.
Since I have an older machine I used custom install from iLife just for iPhoto.
ITunes was downloaded from the apple page.
Norton shows that most of the correction are for iPhoto and iTunes.
I download everything all over and relocate the library for iPhoto and everything is fine.
Is there some sort of conflict with Norton or is because I have an older machine? Is there some other way of re-establishing the programs other then downloading them again?

It's not your machine, It's Nortons.
Norton stopped making Utilities some time ago in reponse to a great many complaints of just this sort of thing. It's not that it doesn't do what it's mean to do - i.e fix things, it's that it actually makes things worse. You really should uninstall it immeadiately.
There are two things you can try: first off use Disk Utility to repair Permissions. If that doesn't work trash both apps, plus any pkg files in HD/Library/Receipts with iPhoto or iTunes in the name, and re-install.

ZoneAlarm and iTunes 7.0.1.8

I was wondering if anyone else has problems with ZoneAlarm and iTunes 7 conflicts. Since I upgraded to iTunes 7 I have been experiencing stuttering or skipping music playback issues. This was ameliorated slightly with the upgrade to version 7.0.1.8, but I still was getting problems when anything CPU-intensive was going on.
Then I read an Apple support article (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302538) suggesting playing with msconfig and its selective startup facility to identify conflicting programs. When I did so (by adding in programs one by one) I discovered that the playback issues appeared to be resolved when I prevented ZoneAlarm loading. There appears to be no other issues with ZoneAlarm (i.e. it doesn't prevent iTunes accessing the internet).
So, has anyone else come across this issue?

Follow the steps listed below for Error 1604. Also, discard the .ipsw file, open iTunes and attempt to download the update again. See the steps under Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations.If you do not want to remove the IPSW in the original user, try restoring in a new administrator user. If the issue remains, Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Unable to download OS X 10.6.8 and iTunes 5

I have a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.6.7. When I run Software Update, I'm unable to complete a successful download of now seven software updates, including OS X 10.6.8 and iTunes 10.5. Consequently, I can't update to IOS5 and iCloud. I've run cleaning and maintenance procedures using Onyx and MacKeeper. I've deleted duplicate files and programs I no longer use. I resolved a certificate conflict in iCal and MobileMe.
At this point, I don't know what else to do. does anyone have any ideas?

Is the problem in the downloading or the updating?
If you're getting errors in the downloaded files themselves, that speaks to a network or wireless issue.
If the downloads are OK, but seem not to be installing fully, try downloading the files directly instead of through Software Update.
Download the OS X 10.6.8 Combo Update v1.1 here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
and iTunes 10.5 here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1426
The Combo update includes all files changed since the original 10.6 release in one (fairly large) update dmg file, so you don't have to do it in increments.

ITunes Conflict with ZoneLabs Zone Alarm

Wow! That took a lot. I was so frustrated not being able to find the conflict, I formatted my drive and incrementally installed and updated the software I use and found it to be ZoneAlarm's firewall that was the conflict. Music was stuttering on everything since they recently updated the firewall software. This is with iTunes 7.0.2, and was happening with 7.0.1 as well, on XP SP 2.
If you have this conflict, and still need a decent firewall for Windows XP that is free, I'm now using Comodo, which hasn't caused any problems so far, and seems to be better than ZoneLab's ZoneAlarm.

Running XPSP2, ZA Pro and ITunes 7.0.1 with no stuttering. I friend at work has the stuttering but their computer barely runs XP with iTunes.
