I see that in the App Store what used to be Tweetie is now Tweetie 2 with a small price tag of $2.99 That's not alot but why not an upgrade for Tweetie? It is a great APP but I'm worried this may become the norm for makers of great apps; don't upgrade your current app just create a #2 and charge for it again? I for one of probably many don't agree with this policy.

Although I can't believe people are quibbling over $3 for something they will use. I mean, what else can you buy for that amount of money?
I bought it, and I bought v1, but then I appreciate the amount of work that's gone into it and realise that developers need to a make a living the same as anyone else. I don't begrudge the developer $3 of my money - jeez, that's less than half an hours work at minimum wage!!!
Plus, currently Apple don't provide developers a way of doing upgrade pricing. Either they release every new version for free, or they charge full price to new users and old. There's no way to charge an upgrade fee to previous purchasers and full-price to new purchasers.

Ok right now I am REALLY confused. About a week ago, I went to post something on twitter. Naturally, instead of having to go to twitter.com and signing in, I used the Notification center "Click to Tweet" button to make my post. It worked just as you would expect. The little screen popped up, I typed my post and tweeted it.
Just a few days ago, both the Tweet and Facebook Post buttons stopped working. I can click on them all I want, but the little index card-like screen never shows up. I don't know what the issue is, since I had both buttons working a few days ago. To try solving the issue I:
1. Went into the settings for notifications and "Hid" the buttons from Notification center (that didn't work)
2. Removed both my accounts from my laptop and re-added them (that didn't work)
3. Checked to see that the password was correctly typed in... it was (and that still didn't work)
The only thing I have left to do is try shutting down my laptop and restarting it. However I recently had some iPhoto software updates that required the laptop to be restarted. Even though this was after the problem started, it still didn't fix it.
One more thing to note is that in Safari where the "Share" button is... that still works fine. I shared a website I was on to Facebook and it posted successfully. The only problem is the functions in Notification Center.
If anybody has a solution to this issue where the Tweet and Facebook Post buttons stop functioning for Notification center, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

NOTE- One other thing. Notifications from Facebook and Twitter still work, however. For instance, I just got a friend request approved on Facebook and that appeared as it should with the little banner notification as well as it appearing in my list of notifications. Somebody re-tweated my tweet and that appeared there too. The only thing that isn't working is the posting features.

Same thing with me but the Safari thing also doesn't work. I recently changed my twitter username so I thought that might be the problem, but no it isn't. Unfortunately, I can only complain with you, not help you, I apologize, Dan!
What computer+ Mac os are you using? I am MacBook Pro with 10.8.4?

How do i remove tap to tweet in the notification setting?

So I have deleted my Twitter account and I go into twitter app and delete my account there. but after a while it shows back up and so does the Tap to Tweet in the pull down menu. Was wondering if there is a way to totally get rid of this without it coming back

Is there a way to do it where you still have the Facebook "Tap to Post"?

Press on post. Delete shows as garbage can. Option to copy link for tweet allows to copy URL. To get whole tweet press copy tweet and all info copied
Other very useful hints
To Report spam click on tweeter name & next to followers click drop down. select report spam. This also blocks at same time. Separate block action for those I guess if don't want to report spam.

The choice should appear as two tabs at the top - imap & pop.

Hi. When using the Twitter app, I can't post a tweet.
I get an error message saying
"Saved as draft. Error posting your message. There was an error sending your Tweet. It has been saved as a draft, please try resending later. (Error: forbidden)"

Based on your first post, you have already done pretty much all that can be done as far as troubleshooting, and there is pretty good indication the issue is on your account (on the Twitter side) not your device. Twitter support is going to need to address this.

Try checking the hyperlink for the image in MS Outlook.
Select image in signature, then click "Insert Hyperlink" image to the far right of Edit signature toolbar.
Click "Target Frame" button.
Select "New Window", then "OK".
After doing this, it solved my problem.

It's not just Firefox as Chrome is also experiencing the same problem. IOW it's a Twitter thing. We are lucky in that two of the most popular browsers (well, Firefox and that other one too snobby for W2K) are affected. I'm sure that's pressure enough for Twitter to fix it.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

I can't Tweet!

Why can't I click on a link to a photo tweeted from Camera on IOS?

Whenever I tweet a photo from the camera app the resulting link is not "clickable". Users must copy and paste the link into Safari to see the photo. I have also received tweets from others which were sent from Camera on IOS and the links are not clickable. Can't imagine this is by design. Anyone else have this problem? My twitter feed is @oldscud if anyone wants to see a sample.

The event is coming in as an invite from someone else. Typically the text will contain one or more urls. It would be nice if Lightning would spot them as urls itself.

Tweets not appearing in Notification Center

Hi there
Quick question.... Is the new ML Notification Centre meant to show all the tweets that come into my Twitter feed thus removing the need to have a Twitter client installed?
I have entered my Twitter account into the Mail Accounts preference pane and the Twitter account is showing in the list in the Notifications Pref Pane but so far no tweets have appeared in Notifications even though the Twitter client says there are new tweets to be read.
Am I missing something?

You will only get notifications of mentions and direct messages send to you. It will not show your timeline.
