  • MacBook LCD screen part number

    Hi there,
I just gave up trying finding the part number of the LCD screen of a MacBook. I have searched all over this site and gone thru pages and pages of this discussion forum. Have tried narrowing down my search using the search field + search tips to no avail. I don't have the computer with me so I can't dissasemble it in order to get the part number.
Would anybody know what the part number is?. I believe they only come in 13" size.
    Thanks very much in advance.
    Cheers,
    Victor

  • MacBook Pro 15.4" 2.16GHz A1150 LCD Manufacturers Part number

Hi there. Can anyone in the know tell me what the manufacturers part number is for this laptop? I'm aware there are 2 possible, a CHIMEI and a Samsung I think.
I know it can be found by going to the system prefs>colour but I don't have access to the laptop.
    Many thanks,
    DeBaron

Low battery life and high temperature immediately suggests to me that some daemon or other background process is probably running at almost 100% CPU utilization in some tightly rolled loop (read "hung").
Battery life on modern laptops is dependent on how heavily the CPU is being utilized. A single app or daemon running amok like that can eat battery life rather rapidly. And, of course, CPU temperature is also proportional to use, so you can basically think of battery life and operating temperature as inversely proportional.
To find out what process is misbehaving, run Terminal. Type "top -o cpu" and press return. See if there's some process running at 99% or whatever, then get back to us.
You might try installing the combo update. If the problem is caused by a installer glitch, that should fix it right up. If it's a bug, obviously that won't help. I couldn't begin to guess which it is.

  • Toshiba 8" LCD panel - Need pinout diagram

I bought this LCD panel (part # LTA080B820A) specifically because it said it had analog RGB input instead of digital inputs that most LCD's accept.
    http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=LTA080B820A&cat=MON
Now i need to find a pinout diagram that tells me which pin does what on the input connector so that I can wire it up.
Anyone have a clue where i can find a pinout diagram for it, or know of a way to test the pins.
I figured since it is analog RGB i should be able to solder up a homeade VGA cable, would this work?
    Help if you can .
    Thanks,
    -Krys

    Hi
Such technical manuals are not for public and I think you should get in contact with an authorized service provider. Here its only an user to user platform and I doubt that you can get these informations here.
Anyway, here you can search for an ASP in your country:

  • X200s LCD Spare Screen Part Number: LTD121EQ3B

    Hello,
I am looking for a new LCD screen to replace my broken LCD screen for Lenovo X200s. Where I search for this LCD screen, the spare lcd screen is too expensive.
Is there an alternative one that will fit into this screen? Can we not use any other 12.1" LED screen that will fit?
I think it is a bad decision to buy the laptop which has such expensive LCD screen. If anyone has any experience, please advise.
    Thanks
    Kabeer.

    Hi Lead_Org,
Thanks for the quick reply. My main issue is that: the part number LTD121EQ3B that matches the Lenovo X200s of mine is very expensive costing me around $355 + delivery charge.
There is no cheap alternative at all. There are several 12.1" LED screens available for HP, Samsung laptops which are around $130 online. So I am regretting that I am stuck with a laptop with spare parts that are very expensive.
I was looking for some help if someone has any experience in fitting a cheaper alternative screen to get around this issue.
    Thanks,

  • W700 LCD bezel screw caps part number?

    Hi everyone,
I've had the LCD screen replaced in my W700 recently. One of the plastic square screw caps that mask the bezel screws is peeling off however (it seems they don't like being re-used).
I've looked in the Hardware Maintenance Index PDF but can't seem to find the part number to re-order the screw caps so I can just stick a new one on (I presume it's a CRU part given how easy it is to install by the user).
Can anyone here (Lenovo staff or otherwise) tell me what part number I need? As far as I can tell the W700 screw packs don't contain these screw caps. Maybe it's part of the LCD screen bezel?
I just want to get someone at Lenovo to pop some in an envelope for me, first thing's first though is the part number.
    Many thanks all,

If you need the square caps for the LCD bezel you can order the screw kit 60Y5510. It's normally for T510/W510 but the caps are the same. The only difference is the number. TheW700 has 6 screws, T510/W510 just 3. But the kit might have enough caps.
    Hope this helps.

    Hello,
I have a MacBook Pro, model number MA895LL/A.
For the life of me I cannot find out what the part number is for the LCD inside this machine. I am looking for a replacement, but would like to know I am ordering the right part number. Can anyone shed some light on any methods to confirm what LCD part number is in my Mac?

  • T500 WXGA+ LCD Panel Adjustment Challenges

Does anyone have any LCD Panel adjustment tips for a T500 with 1680x1050 screen and Intel 4500HD GPU?I am trying to make adjustments through the Intel Graphic Media Accelerator Driver Control Panel. I am running Vista Home Basic.
A number of different calibration programs such as Calibreze start by having you set the contrast to maximum. When I do this it washes out the screen so I back off on the contrast and try to proceed through the test but the result is that the color saturation is lacking. I am further frustrated by the video settings button on the same control panel. When I change the settings here it appears to have an effect only on the small test photos provided in the adjustment window. It has no effect on the display itself. I found a bunch of color management options in Vista but I have no clue as to where to begin with these. Lastly, I tried to find a user guide for but came up with nothing.Does anyone know where to find one?
I am left wondering why I didn't just buy a machine with a dedicated graphics card.
    Solved!

    Hi Doublej,
You don't say what is your purpose in adjusting your screen. If it is to have a truly calibrated monitor for the purpose of photo editing, then I recommend that you just give up on the laptop's screen anyway, and use an external monitor. The external monitor should be of type IPS or MVA or PVA (Wikipedia / Google these if you're not familiar with them) if a flat panel, or a (gasp!) CRT. All of those options are expensive, except the untrendy CRT. Just about every laptop screen these days and most external flat panels too use TN technology, which is great for gaming (fast response time) but utter garbage for viewing angles and color accuracy. Don't believe me? Load up a color photo on your laptop, then try looking at it from slightly above center, slightly below center, left of center, and right of center. See the color and brightness shifts? How can you possibly calibrate that? (You can't -- there's no way to always look at the screen from exactly the same angle, even if you could position your head perfectly, your eyes see different parts of the screen at different angles.) A good external monitor will also give you far better contrast ratio (brightest / darkest areas).
After getting a decent monitor, it's still a good idea to calibrate it. (I've seen some monitors from Dell and Apple come pretty close without calibration, and others that were way out of calibration by default.) The X-Rite i1 Display 2 screen calibrator comes with easy-to-use calibration software for Windows and Mac. (Other calibrators may be just as good but I haven't used them so don't know.)
The FlatPanelsDK Online Monitor Test is great for a quick visual check of your screen's calibration.
One last thing: discrete graphics have NO color calibration advantage over your fine Intel integrated graphics.

  • Are T4X0s lcd panels a complete fail?

At first we had the "vertical band" in our displays:
    http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/t410s-vertical-band-in-my-LCD/td-p/245040 (12 pages)
And now, people are coming up with bright spots on their displays. Some of the users already replaced their displays before due to the "vertical band"!
    http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T4-T5-und-neuere-T-Serie/T410s-Wei%C3%9Fe-Flecken-auf-dem-Display/td-p/4... (german)
I know those T4X0s series ThinkPads are thin as hell. But they break much too often. Lenovo has to find a solution for this. A friend owns his T410s for 5 months now and it's the second time he has to carry in his ThinkPad due to display issues.
Just wondering, when the first thread with desperate T420s owners will emerge... Is this really such a hopeless situation?

My T400 has had a bright spot since about the first week, so issues might not just be with T4x0s. I haven't had a chance to ship it back yet to have it fixed (ship it as it is under 3yr warranty) as the machine is in constant use.
While my T420 was being worked on recently (on-site service) I asked the tech about display issues. He also services Sony and other models. According to the tech, he sees display problems more often in other brands of laptops. He said that it generally happens to students or other highly mobile people, and they notice it after the machine is removed from a backpack or other bag. He finds these odd as the lcd panel will be spiderwebbed or have other issues but the glass/ plastic in front of the panel will have no damage. He blames the trend of thin & floppy displays for these issues.

If you look at the list again, you have an HD+ (1600X900) screen. Any will fit and work fine. The 3 part numbers are for 3 different suppliers. If you want the exact same supplier you had, you can look it up here:
