Twitter app update wont go away ARRGGHHH!!!

mac appstore shows an update for twitter app even tho i dont have twitter installed
i cant get rid of the **** thing!!
its force installing itself, so i update then delete it and the update appears again
NIGHTMARE!!!!!
1. my twitter update shows MY apple id (obviously because im able to install it)
2. i dont have any pirated apps
3. ive never downloaded anything from the mac appstore
4. i dont even have a twitter account
5. bought imac with lion and updated to ML or "more bugs lion" as i like to call it
6. ALL bugs are still here after updating to mavericks, this twitter nightmare, safari icloud tabs dont work ect ect ect

You have done the worst thing you can do when you have problems: upgrade the operating system. This will only increase problems. Because of this, I recommend you to format everything and start over again.
First of all, get an external drive (if you have not got one) and put your most important data there. Another thing you can do, in case you want to do everything automatically, is to use the Disk Utility's Restore feature to copy everything to the external drive.
Then, hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting to start up into OS X Recovery, and open Disk Utility. Use it to erase the OS X partition > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU2.html
Finally, reinstall OS X. I do not recommend you to restore your files while you are setting up OS X or these problems will appear again. Instead, I recommend you to restore your files manually and, if you can, reinstall your apps manually

App updates not going away

So I have IOS 7 currently installed on my iPhone 4S and when I go to update my apps it still shows the previous app updates, is there a way to get rid of them or is it just a defect in iOS 7?

This is by design now due to the Automatic Updates feature. The only way I have found to clear them is to go into Settings > General > Date & Time and turn off the automatic setting, set your month to several days/months in the future.
Then, go back to the App Store and the updates should clear. Then, go back to your Date & Time setting and change it back to automatic.

App updates wont show up on phone

For some reason ever since i swapped my original 3g out for a replacement i have been having app update issues.
Prior to 2.1 i would go to update an app from my phone only to get an error saying i had to do it from my computer, now apps show up as needing updates in itunes, so before downloading i check my phone and the app store it is claiming everything is up to date. This isnt a huge hassle for me but itsnot working as it should and that bothers me, is anyone else experiencing this?

I have a nokia lumia 920, i notice i never get any app update notification anymore, usually i see a number on the store icon showing me the number of new updates, but its never showing now, i have to go to store it self search for the app & update there. I tried hard reset when phone got stuck and couldnt recover and had to take it to nokia care. Even that has not helped and the apps just would not automatically notofy of update like they used to do before... Have had this for quite many weeks.......

Doubt whether this has anything to do with your device. MAY be the issue is with the Windows Phone Store. I have experienced that many times.. for days together there is no notification..and then all of a sudden 8 to 10 application updates are notified. When the update release dates are checked, some are upto 7-8 days ago ..

My email is signed in to the app store on my iphone 3GS I can download apps and my email shows up asking for my password like always I put it in and it downloads but when I try to update apps my brothers email address pops up and asks for the password iv tried entering my password and it doesnt work and my brother wont give me his password so what should i do to get his email off and mine back on? PLEASE AMSWER IMMEDIATELY!!!

Is his email registered in the mail application?
If yes, go to settings, 'mail, contacts, calendar' and the mail application users will appear. To delete them, just click on the email, something will pop-up, scroll down and there will be an option to delete it.
Otherwise, you're brother will have to enter his password.

I've updated to IOS7 now app updates wont disappear from screen even after updating

I have updated to IOS7 on my Ipad and Iphone. I've noticed now that when i get a notice that an app needs an update, I tap the "install" button and after the update is finished the "install" icon changes to "open". Problem is that even if i tap the "open" icon, the app opens has it should. But when I return to the "app store" icon under updates the app I just open still appears on the list and still has the "open" icon visable. Use to be once you updated an app it would dissapear from the update list. I know have a list of 7 apps all updated and showing the "open" icon on my Iphone 5 and 13 on my Ipad. I've tried shutting down my device and restarting, yet they still show up on the list. Is it just me, have I missed a setting or something? How do I get rid of updated app showing up on my update list?

I've had the same issues since iOS 7 was released last week. Sometimes my iPad' App Store icon's badge shows I have 3 updates. When I enter the App Store to update them, there are no updates shown. When I back out of the App Store, they are no longer shown on the iPad's App Store icon. When I again enter the App Store, only 2 updates show up. It's all very inconsistent. Rebooting, restarting, etc all do nothing. I believe the issue to be on Apple's end.

When i try and update the apps on my iPad they try and update and then a note comes up to say account not valid for use in german store. I am on the new Zealand store. Cant change store on the ipad so made sure im on the right store on my computer but still doesnt work.

Change to NZ App Store
1. Tap "Settings"
2. Tap "iTunes & App Stores"
3. Tap on your Apple ID
4.Tap "View Apple ID"
5. Enter your user name and password.
6. Tap "Country/Region."
7. Tap "Change Country/Region"
8. Select the country/region where you are located; re-select country/region even if it is correct
9. Tap "Done".
Note: If the change doesn't take effect, sign out of account and sign in again.

My itunes app updates wont work, help please?

HI, i recently created a new apple ID due to my old one being disabled. I have quite a few much needed updates, which include paid and nonpaid items. (irrelevent?) My new ID works in all feilds except updates. When the verification box pops up it uses my old email as my username and I cannot find out how to change that in order to update my apps. The iTunes store itself shows that it is using my new ID, how can I change the username in my verification box inorder to update?
*may I add that I have tried turning on and off my iPhone, and resetting my ID in my computer too.*

Twitter app update

Just received notification from BB app world to upgrade Twitter. I did, now how do I sign out of Twitter. Before you would go to options from menu screen and see where to "sign out". That's gone now. I don't want to just "close". BB 9330 3G wifi. Sprint

Application updates wont go away...

every time I update an application, the app store never seems to recognize that it has been updated. Every time I open the app store it tells me i have 15 or how ever many updates, all which have been updated, this has been going on for about 2 weeks now. I have tried a restart, hard restart and even a restore to check for corrupt files but nothing has worked...any suggestions?

The nature of the issue you're dealing with is not likely to be a hardware issue with the iPhone. Based on the number of threads discussing similar issues with third party applications, the issue is unlikely to be an issue with the software on your iPhone either. However, if there is a software issue on the iPhone, it could be resolved by restoring the iPhone and setting it up as a new phone:

Restoring can resolve a software-related cause on the iPhone, but it seems more likely that the issue is not on your end of the equation at all. It may be something that the iTunes Store/APP Store may need to resolve on their end.

App update wont install

Hi.
Im having a serious problem. I've downloaded the Diamond Twister App from iTunes store. The problem is, that i WILL NOT install!! It downloads, starts installing and when the blue bar is almost done, it starts over. I let it do that like 10 times and suddenly my iPhone freezes and reboots.
The problem is, that i can't even remove this app, since I downloaded on my iPhone. So it doesn't show up in iTunes.
What should I do? :/

I am using a SharedObject as highscore list in my Andoid/IOS game, and every time I deploy to a device the SO/highscore is deleted;
Will this allso happen if I make an update to my game in App Store/App market? and is there a way to avoid this?
Would incrementing version number help?

My ipod touch is telling me that the skype and twitter apps need updating. When I try to run them they fail. I have tried deleting the apps via itunes but it doesn't work and I have tried updating the apps via itunes and it says they are updated.

- Go to Settings>Store and sign out and sign into your account.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
