Twitter is not loading

Hi there,
So over the last 24 hours I have been unable to load my Twitter app...anytime I want to access it, I have to go through the browser. In looking at the reviews through BlackBerry World, I'm not the only one.
Just to clarify, the app was working fine during the day yesterday and then just stopped. When I try to open the app, all I get is a blank home page with the circular loading symbol.
What's happening? Is there something being done to address this?

Have you tried updating to the latest version of Twitter through BlackBerry World? If you have not updated please update and let us know if you are having the same issue.

  • Facebook/Twitter DO NOT LOAD TEXT/IMAGES correctly in Windows 8 in ANY version of Firefox

    The title sums it up nicely. I bought a new laptop 2 days ago and Facebook and Twitter do not load correctly in Firefox (ANY AND ALL VERSIONS - I have been installing/uninstalling/reinstalling nonstop like a maniac). They load in every other browser just fine.
    Basically what happened is I installed Firefox on the new laptop (first thing I did), loaded Facebook and Twitter for the first time, and once I closed those pages and re-opened them, they started to appear with the text flush to the left and without some images. Almost looks like a part of the CSS code is missing.
    I have tried ALL of the solutions posted on these support forums. None of them are permanent
    Clearing my cookies/cache IS NOT an adequate solution. It works for the first time and then I have to do it every time I close and re-open FB/Twitter. Since the entire Windows 8 O/S concept is based on the "social experience," this seems somewhat ironic. Either it's a problem with my new laptop but I doubt it, as I said before, every other browser and webpage work fine.
    My conclusion is there's a problem between Firefox/Windows 8/Facebook and Twitter. If someone could just confirm or shed some insight to development problems or suggest permanent fixes, that would be greatly appreciated and save me a lot of headache. As it stands, I'm about to throw this laptop out the window. >_> I'm very much not impressed with the hassle this transition has been.
    Google Chrome has always been a close second to Firefox in my eyes and it looks like I'll have to switch over, despite the fact the former does not have a customizable bookmark toolbar.

    I changed a setting in Firefox and it seemed to have solved my problems. Since CTRL+F5 seemed to work as a quick fix, that told me it was something to do with the cache.
    My browsers on my old laptop had never had their cached cleared (I have a problem deleting things :P).
    Go to Tools --> Options --> Network and under Cached Web Content, your cache may be set to 350mb just like mine was in my new Firefox. I had a moment of clarity and thought, "maybe since my computer is so new, I haven't browsed enough to fill my cache with information from various different sites, as opposed to just Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube."
    So I ticked the box "override automatic cache management" and set it to 0mb.
    Ever since then, I've had no problems with browsing (in Firefox, haven't attempted anything else since the problem was fixed immediately).
    I know nothing about caches and whatnot, but with the limit set to 0, I believe this is forcing the browser to reload a new page from scratch EVERY time since I have not allowed *anything* to be saved to memory.
    Hope this helps, please let us know if it works for you as well. I know I was experiencing massive buyer's remorse for days because of this problem.

  • Twitter pictures not loading.

    Since about a day ago my twitter app has not been working correct, the pictures and people's icons are not loading they're just blank when you click the photo to look at it and the icons are grey. I've tried turning off and turning on my phone , logging out and logging back in and deleting the app and installing it again so far none have done anything to help it. Any idea how I can fix it?

    Hi Noble22, sorry to hear that you are having issues getting to Twitter. I was just wondering if you had the Pop-Up blocker enabled on your browser?  If you are using Internet Explorer as you primary browser, here is a easy way to disable the Pop-Up blocker.  Please click on the Tools option in the top right hand corner of Internet explorer and then go to Pop- Up blocker. The arrow will move over and you will see Disable Pop-up blocker and select it to disable.

  • Instagram, Facebook, Twitter photos not loading, Getting Kicked off xbox live, random drop outs.

    Hi everyone, Here's an issue for you to solve. Im sure it can't be fixed, and I know multiple people that have this issue, and it is unnacceptable.  Before I start, here is the router I am using: Telstra Gateway Max. Ok so heres the problem. I have an android phone, well two on my network and they both have the same issue. The iPhones and iPads seem to be OK. i don't have these issues on the computer either (Macbook Pro and Dell Inspiron). When I go onto instagram for example, all of the text loads just fine, but the images just sit on 0% and stay like that until it says unable to download. Facebook is usually ok, but sometimes has the same issue, and Twitter, same as instagram. This also happens on the Google Play Store when trying to download apps, and other random things. I have tried on the 2g and 5g networks and both same issue, but strangely enough, as soon as I connect to 3G/4G network, everything loads great. Why should I have to use my data when at home? Whats the point of paying $200+ a month for a service that doesn't even work! Also, with Xbox Live, this happens on the 360 and Xbox One. I have Two 360's on the network, one being wired (ethernet), the other on wifi. The xbox one is also connected to the same switch as the wired 360. Don't give me any of that garbage about buying a new switch, because this one works perfectly fine.
    I have a moderate NAT type on some games, and sometimes I just get randomly disconnected. I have monitored the lights on the router, and they stay normal, some flashing, some solid. Basically, everything is normal. The other xbox's drop off at random times. The annoying thing is, when I connect to the Telstra Air network (off my router) everything loads fine on my phone, and I don't want to be forced to use that terrible 3mbit connection. Oh and while I'm at it, the telstra air app says I don't have a valid account, even though when I manually connect to telstra air through wifi settings on my laptop or phone, it works fine. Back to the xbox, I have forwarded all the ports needed (SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT), I have changed my firewall to low... Basically, Telstra, get your **bleep** together, and help me with my issues, or give me some pointers.

    So someone else with Android devices on an entirely different network seems to have the same issues. This doesn't rule out the Android devices at all, in fact it suggests maybe there is more to it
    The only way to make sure it's not the other switch introducing problems is to take it out of the equation. That means running direct connections to the modem. I realise it might be a pain in the rear end though. I user ethernet over power for one of xboxs.

  • Twitter App Not Loading Please Fix

    You guys better get fixing the Twitter App that has not been working right since April 12 as people are now rating it 1 star in App World.
    When you launch it at present it just spins. Hope you get it fixed quickly. Thanks.

    BlackBerry is aware of the issue, working on it, and has even commented that the app will be updated this afternoon to working condition.
    Twitter issue will be resolved this afternoon with an new app update.

  • Twitter is not loading in FireFox 28

    Hi there all,
    Before asking the obvious questions, I have been in the forum for the last four hours looking for a solution to the question I have, which is "Why won't FireFox open the Twitter.com website. The little green disc goes round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round, you get the picture, but nothing is loaded.
    I have cleared everything
    I reloaded everything
    I have turned the computer off and on again
    I have reset the Router
    I have had numerous cups of coffee
    Gone to the loo a few times.
    Reset everything again.
    and still nothing.
    What is a guy to do. Twitter works in Chrome,
    Twitter works in that horrible browser IE
    Twitter works in Safari
    Twitter works in Opera
    Come back to FireFox and nothing but that green disk going round and round and round and round.
    HELP!
    I used to like the fox, but it is now getting the stage where I feel it is time to drop the fox in favour of Chrome.

    Can you start Firefox in private browsing mode (Ctrl-Shift-P)? Can you then access the Twitter website?

    Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

    what error are you getting - or is it just crashing on open - i have an iPhone 5 with IOS 6.0.1 and the twitter app works fine - have tou tried any of the alternative twitter apps available in the app store ( i am assuming you are talking about the official twitter app)?

    Check Settings > Sounds > Ringtone > (Default) ?
    Also Ringer and Alerts : volume full.

  • IOS8 on iPhone 5: Apps not Loading; Frequent Crashing

    Hey All,
    I've never posted on the support forum before, because I rarely have issues with my apple products. I recently downloaded the iOS8 upgrade onto my iPhone 5 and have been having severe issues with the functionality of my phone:
    1) Apps will not load - some of my apps, such as mail, facebook, snapchat, twitter, mapmyrun, and so forth, will "open," but none of the content loads. Occasionally, the apps will appear to load further, the more I try, but then crash once they get to a certain point. I reuploaded my back up data, hoping that the transition to the upgrade might have damaged my files. That has not worked.
    2) Crashing Apps: They will occur without notice or in the middle of discussion. My facetime has vanished mid-conversation. My texts won't go through.
    3) Wi-Fi disappears - there have been times when I'll get the "your app will work more accurately if you enable internet," which is bizarre because I am always connected over 3G and/or wi-fi. I often have to manually go back into my wi-fi settings and log back in, which never used to happen in iOS7 for saved networks.
    Generally, the iOS8 is just slow. Even swiping pages is stalled. Scrolling on Safari freezes quite often (and not on pages where there is flash media or a lot of graphics, but basic text, like Wikipedia).
    I'm just really frustrated that my phone (which I upgraded to this year), seems to be incompatible with the latest iOS update.
    Is there a patch or new version slated to address any of these issues?

    Well, after updating to iOS 8 every app needs to re-ask for your permission in every since. You should have to go back into every app and click enable or disable for location services / notifications / requesting of photos. Is it a persisting issue (i.e. every time you  open one app, it repeatedly asks you to enable that service)?

  • Suddenly getting UserNotFoundException: User Not Found: Could not load profile data from the database

    Starting yesterday (I believe) we are suddenly receiving a "User not found" error when trying to view a user's profile page when clicking on their name (in search or elsewhere) via the url

    This is happening for all users. (but profiles exist and seem ok, and sync with AD is running fine) When looking in the logs I see the error  (full ULS log is later below)
    Exception in LoadRequestedUserProfile: (Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.UserNotFoundException: User Not Found: Could not load profile data from the database.
    The only clue of what MAY be going on is just before that I see the following two lines which came up after I changed the Database logging to Verbose:

    If I am reading that correctly, does it mean the connection to the database is timing out instantly? I am able to use powershell to pull up profiles and print them to the screen while on the webservers. And it's only the one specific page that is not
    working.
    What sort of tests or further debugging can I do for the error above?
    We are on premise, SharePoint 2013 sp1, sql2012, server 2012, claims using the full SharePoint Profiile Sychronization against AD.  Farm has been running since last august. Last week the admin team did run windows update on all servers, I can't be sure
    if it was broken for 5 days and no one noticed or if it broke yesterday.
    I already did the following:
    Verified the profiles do exist in central admin.
    I can still access their personal sites directly via
    https://www.contoso.org/personal/myuserlogin
    I checked the ProfileDB database and made sure the service accounts for the UPA has dbowner, so does the farm account, and the web application pool has SPDataAccess.
    Verified the AD sync account has proper rights in AD.
    I reran a full synchronization which ran with no errors.
    File systems on the webservers and appserver have plenty of free space.
    Rebooted every server in farm
    I even checked the bin directory of the mysite webapplication, (since once I had a weird problem where access to bin was removed.) WSS_ADMIN_WPG, WSS_RESTRICTED_WPG_W4 have full control and WSS_WPG,IIS_IUSRS all have read and execute.
    I opened powershell on the webserver I can indeed load profiles and print their values.

  • App Store Not Loading READ HERE!!  DO NOT RESTORE YOUR DEVICE!!

    Ok Applecare Senior Advisor Tad just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.  He said it should only be a 24 hour or so problem then everything should be up and running again.  i have two new ipads and 2 iphone 4's and everythng works fine but my ipad (figures).  They are actually going to be calling me tomorrow to follow up on the issue.  I will let everyone know if I hear more!

    And just so everyone knows this started for me late last night.  I shut my device off this morning hoping it would be working this morning, but not luck obviously.  So I kept researching all the forums, googling, and searching on twitter for solutions or possible solutions.  I tried everything, hard reset, changing date, signing in/out, you name it I did it EXCEPT for a restoration.  Now the first woman I spoke to from applecare this morning walked me through all these steps (even though I had already tried them).  She told me to do a restore and start as a new device.  Well before I had even spoken with her I read several places that people had already tried doing the restores and it didn't work so I wasn't going to listen to her and I didn't do it.  So I called back applecare and finally got transfered to Tad and (sorry in advance Tad!!) I basically lied to him and told him that I DID DO a restore even though I had in fact didn't.  So that's when he put me on hold and basically spilled his guts that it was the apple servers.  So i asked if I had to restore my device again or anything and he said no and that it would take about 24 hours or so for the problem to be fixed and then he procedded to take down my number and said he would call me tomorrow to find out how I my device was doing.  So keep posting to the forums folks!! They are listening, he said he had started to see a number of complaints coming in on this topic.  And by the way this is my first time posting in the Apple forums, I hope I at least helped some of you out!!!

  • Thickbox gallery not loading on my website

    I have made a photo gallery for a website using thickbox, it is working fine in preview but when I put it to the site the photos are not loading/poping up. I have used thickbox and lightbox for photo galleries that worked fine but I do not understand what I am missing here.

  • A URL will not load in Firefox (it does nothing) but will load in Safari; some other URLs also have a similar problem.

    In Safari with the above website, I cannot "View Source". Also, I have the same problem viewing images of patents at the USPTO, again probably a similar problem. Perhaps the web address isn't HTML but is an image format not supported by Firefox. Perhaps there is a plug-in or add-on that will be able to read the image, but should probably be included in the main Firefox release since it seems to be fairly common.

    A twitter widget on my website will not load in firefox but will load in every other browser I've tried. I have tried several versions of firefox. Here is the code I am trying to run:
